THE CENTER Activities in English STUDIO 1: what do users think?

Irene Bodle: My daughter has been in the ballet class for the last four years. She loves all of the ballet teachers, her class and ballet. I highly recommend the course for anyone who has a 4 - 8 year old child wanting to learn ballet in a fun and professional way.

Maria Lopez Echeverria: The system to book or cancel classes is really flexible and works perfectly with a real life schedule, also Brittany, my teacher of adult ballet classes is a great professional who cares very much for her classes and students. This is a very good school.

B G: My favorite place to take dance classes in Berlin. The teachers are all beyond qualified and super patient, even with adult beginners like me.

athanasia tsavalas: My son and I love The Center! He is almost five and has been doing various courses there since he was only a few months old! The atmosphere is relaxed and positive and I have made some really good friends there over the years . I can highly recommend The Center, just drop by and check it out!

J Zimmermann: Great teachers, very professional and helpful, lots of fun with no pressure at all. Also amazingly flexible and helpful system for booking/re-booking with the unexpected things of the adult working-life!

Berlin Dance Institute: what do users think?

Sara Kibler: The Berlin Dance Institute creates a place, where everyone, regardless of their dance level, can discover and learn about themselves through dance. I highly recommend the five month intensive program to anyone interested in an intensive dance experience. The teachers are incredible, ready to give fair and helpful corrections and make sure that the group moves forward together. The respect for each other, both among the program members and between students and teachers, creates an ideal learning atmosphere that is motivating and encouraging. From Graham, to ballet, to different styles of contemporary dance and improvisation, everyone can discover their potential, their style, their preferences and wants. A big thank you to Suleika and the entire BDI team for this unique and inspiring experience. <3

Ley La: Best dance school ever! I love it. Have been to other schools before but this one is by far the nicest and most welcoming environment. Everyone is working honest, hard but with fun. I can just recommend auditioning here if you seriously wanna become a professional dancer.

Valentine Capian.Moser: Great dancing space and no issues with neighbors because of the music.

Karin Gingras: Absolutely wonderful place to train and dance - excellent teachers who bring lots of heart and create a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment to really grow and explore, good floors, and beautiful big studio spaces 💎

sandra ann butler: What a fantastic place to dance and to be inspired. The diversity of the teachers is amazing; they all ooze professionalism and at the same time cherish their students. They have created an oasis of calm and tranquility where learning is enjoyable, creative and satisfying. This is the place to be, truly impressive!

Dorothée Tölgyesi: The staff and students succeded in creating a family like environment while still pushing for better results. This establishment nurtures talent and allows you to reach your full potential. No other institution is able to achieve such a high level of professionalism and create a strong lasting relationship between dancers and their art.

SophiaMpoulou: I am a first year student, and I already saw progress in the way i make each movement. We work really hard, and both teachers and students really put so much effort for the best result! If you aim high, then Berlin Dance Institute is the right school for you! :)

Stephanie Leisen: If you want to be a dancer you should go to Berlin dance Institute. Great and professional teachers will give you the best education you can get!!! :-)

Rosanna Barriobero: Amazing school! I’m really happy with my education. Super nice energy and atmosphere of all the students, and very professional teachers from all over the world.

Ballet Centrum Ku-Damm Square Musical School: what do users think?

Crystal Goh: I took classes here for a while. Some teachers were wonderful and others not so good, but I can agree with the sketchy management tactics. As an English speaker unable to speak German I was recommended to sign up for a contract whose terms I wasn’t explained with very restrictive clauses to terminate - and was later made to feel like it was completely my fault and made to keep paying for months. The same management is on this page giving themselves 5 star reviews. It’s a real shame because if it had been a friendly environment at the reception rather than a hostile one, I actually had a good time attending classes there

Liam Brandt: When I came to Berlin I was extremely nervous to find a dance studio but the individual teachers and management have pushed me to dance more and I have become even better! These people are amazing and you feel the genuine love to dance the moment you enter the facilities! Great place for beginners and all!

Lara: I took some dance classes and they were ok for me as a beginner. However, management uses sketchy and abusive tactics with customers. I witnessed how the manager mistreated a customer who brought his little daughter to dance classes. Poor man spilled some water on the floor, so the manager, instead of offering to help, just waived him to the toilet, to get a mop and then even shouted at him. The floors, showers and lockers were quite dirty, at all times. I will not step my foot into this facility any more.

Zembra Zembretta: As ballet school, they are very good! They have different teachers with different methods and you will find a way that fits your. They have other offers like tap, jazz... with very nice teachers.

HunoldBerlin: With new, bright rooms centrally at Adenauerplatz (U7) and the same good atmosphere... :-) Practical + accommodating: there is also the possibility to book lessons individually, without a contract.

Verena Marie Kahler: A place of imagination and creativity. All levels are offered, from classical ballet training to commercial, jazz, modern and contemporary. From beginners to professional training. Great teachers, great training for all age groups, there are also great dance classes for dance seniors over 40. Absolutely recommendable!

Christian Toberentz: Excellent, internationally successful teachers who teach with great competence, a sense of responsibility and dedication. No mass processing, individual support. Wide range of dance options for all levels and all ages. Centrally located, beautiful, bright rooms and above all: Excellent, joint-gentle sprung floor!

THE CENTER School of Performing Arts in English STUDIO 2: what do users think?

Irene Bodle: My daughter (8 years old) joined the acrobatics class 6 months ago. When she started she could just about manage a forward roll. In 6 months she has learnt so much and is now doing backwards, cartwheels and backwards walkovers. She has learned so much and loves her Monday class with Brittany. She is looking forward to taking part in the next show as an acrobat (and ballerina).

Thomas Baum: My daughter has been attending acrobatics classes for severals years. She is excited about lesson she can take. keep up the great work! and thanks a lot.

J Zimmermann: Great teachers, professional and helpful, lots of fun with no pressure or competition and an amazingly flexible system for booking/re-booking esp. with the unexpected things of the adult working-life! Recommended as a complete beginner who grew in confidence!

Michi Mastrilli: Both ballet teachers (Britt and Zara) are really good and friendly

Lucas A.: I took a few courses there and was in the center several times a week, as was my daughter. A great atmosphere, competent trainers and as soon as your health is good again, we would be happy to come back!

Joana Kohrs: 2 beautiful studios in which we are very happy to host events!

Michael Faustino Bauer: Great girls dance lesson for birthday, with friends. Thanks Brittany

motion*s Tanz- und Bewegungsstudio: what do users think?

Chevy Nyala: Motion*s is certainly the most divers and most welcoming dance school in Berlin with one of the broadest offers in classes and styles. However, I’m sad that the standard and quality of many courses have dropped quite a bit in the last year or so. Where there were high-profile instructors, often well established masters of their styles, there are now a lot of twenty-somethings teaching classes, who just don’t bring the same level of expertise and teaching quality (especially if you yourself are not a teenager anymore). In the last two years I saw at least 4-5 great instructors leave. Merely the Jazz and Ballet classes have stayed relatively consistent. Unfortunately those have also fallen prey to the “USC-syndrome”, though. Because of providers like Urban Sports Club there is so much rotation and random drop-ins that instructors seem often forced to lower the level and explain everything from the basis, especially in the beginner and intermediate classes, which is super frustrating and hindering for the regular students. I hope this will improve again and the school will shift its focus back on experienced, adept instructors, so all the dancers above 25 feel comfortable too

Linda Veijola: Great classes with warm atmosphere 😊 Good location with the studio. Easy to dorp-in or go regulary. Teaching often in English. A lot of classes for adults. Open levels vary a lot, so you’ll find out the level by just trying. Overall, can only recommend!

Bosaina El Haggar: Critical: ValueWaste of time sorry :/ in the 2 times i booked a class, they changed the teacher without giving notice. Also in the 2 times, the teacher is not teaching us anything, she’s basically just dancing so that we can follow.

Chris Gogler: Great dance studio! The first class you do is only 5 Euros, really worth checking out. Diverse range of classes. The voguing class is wicked!

Dina Kourouvani: the dance celebration in Berlin! Reminds me of Pineapple in London. Very friendly and easy going ambience, reasonable prices very interesting schedule and amazing teachers ❤️ The perfect place to enjoy dancing, especially for dance-lovers-non-professional .

Marco Scola: Very nice dance studio, very clean and bright

senem: Wonderful place and professional teachers

Ballet Coaching & Workshops: what do users think?

Anja Schrön: I love working with Emma. She knows exactly what level her students are at and always manages to make them surpass themselves step by step. Emma supports me in becoming more confident in the ballet movements and executions I am learning, but she also inspires me and challenges me to move on in development and learn in every class new stuff. She has joined me on the adventure of teaching me pointe shoes - a big challenge for me. Her classes are always professional, but also fun and have a nice personal and open touch. Emma is wondeful and lovely teacher.

Selene Routley: At last i have a teacher who can break down and explain in detail all the normally unconscious conversations we have with our bodies and its muscles to give expression to our movements, so that these at last become within my grasp to change and control consciously. And so, i can at last express my innermost soul and feelings with my body in the way that i have always longed to. Emma is most wonderfully engaging, intelligent and her beautiful movements and instruction invite the dancer to be beautiful too in her own way.

Luke Mcdonough-Stratford: I met Emma during the pandemic and if it hadn’t have been for lockdown our paths may have never crossed but, I am sure glad I got the opportunity to attend her virtual classes, because they really helped me stay focused and mentally fit during such a long and isolating period. Emma’s online intermediate ballet class also helped me stay physically fit and not only enabled me to maintain my technique but, lead to progress in numerous areas which, if I am honest, I wasn’t expecting to achieve from my living room. Emma is such an accommodating teacher and really knows how to help her students reach their individual goals with a personalised approach. For me personally, her attention to detail created fantastic results but, class was also friendly and fun at the same time whilst always offering a caring and nurturing environment that felt truly safe. For adult dancers or dancers of any age, I would certainly recommend taking private lessons with Emma. Over a reasonably short period of time, my pirouettes improved massively and with just a few months of weekly half hour private zoom sessions, Emma had me doing clean and consistent doubles, which was simply an amazing mile stone to reach. I have no doubt that I came out of lockdown a much stronger and more confident dancer and Ballet Coaching and workshops played a huge role in what I was able accomplish.

Scarlett: I have improved leaps and bounds in my ballet because of Emma’s coaching. She has been extremely supportive when I’m dancing. I have definitely noticed my technique developing ever since my classes with her started. 😊👍

Karen Kennedy: I really recommend Ballet Coaching & workshops. Emma is a very talented teacher and my daughter has vastly improved with her guidance.

Ruth Landers: Emma is a great teacher. I learn so much from her. She gives you great confidence in yourself and brings out the best in you. 🙂

Sarah Quick-Adamczyk: Excellent ballet teacher, very helpful and caring. You can literally feel that she loves her job. That is why every class is something very special.

David Douglas: Emma is an extremely professional dance teacher who is attentive and passionate. I was relatively new to ballet and she really helped me improve. She is great with all different levels. I would highly recommend her.

Dina Hellwig: Oh, I love to work with Emma!!!!

CENTER OF DANCE: what do users think?

Ivy Clayton: The teachers are professional, but in my opinion the overall vibe is pretty hostile for adult recreational dace classes. I get it if you train professionally, but even the beginner classes were extremely tense, and given that there are so many studios in berlin that are a lot nicer, making it more fun to dance, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Irina Kuznetsova: Perfect place to dance and test your strength! I love this place

Patrick H.: Not enough space with a crowded class

C Milieme: Good communication, great classes! Thanks for getting back to me

Marco Scola: Great Place for the dance lovers!

ill_ ana: I like Afro classes here. Nice and cool studio!

PoleFlow Berlin: Very nice studio and classes :)

Paul K: Very nice dance place - salsa & bachata

Detlef Schmidt: There are certainly good dance classes there.. but the people who answer the phone there are amateurs.. very horrible treatment of customers.

Sandra Neugaertner: I have taken part in the Power Yoga course several times and looking back I can say that it was the most efficient "training" I have ever done. Since then, I have never noticed such major physical changes during the course anywhere else. You feel great after every session - not only physically - but also mentally/psychologically.

Gordana Marinković (Goca Veličković): The teacher is very dedicated and professional, the place clean. The classes are a lot of fun, which is highly important!

Barbara Füglein: Ilona Wendt- Studio B, everyone will feel comfortable there and would like to learn to dance - once they have completed a trial lesson. ! You are very welcome there, the feel-good factor is great, the atmosphere is very cozy, the lessons, regardless of the dance style, are very intense! Barbara Füglein

DA F.U.N.K. Hip Hop Street Dance Courses in Berlin: what do users think?

Nicole Strauch: Best dance school! Lessons are always fun and you make friends quickly 😊 The choreos are also awesome and really make you want to :))

2malaika1: We recommend. The location is easy to reach by all means of transport and even on foot. Great rooms in the Holmes Palace. Afterwards you can, if you want to take a shower right there. A big compliment goes to the dance coach. Although she is younger than most participants, she knows exactly what she is doing. She has a lot of patience and shows each step so that he sits in the end. All in all, but in a pleasant way, so you feel really comfortable. I enjoy every time I can go in the evening. Everybody is integrated by the trainer so that everybody gets together with everybody in a dance part. The music selection is very good. Come along and see it for yourself at a trial lesson. :)

sabine forcioli conti: Courses great :) ! But communication with the school under all dignity!!!

Wir du: Not found Sow hard to find

Lucia: The trainer is really great.

Ballet - and dance school TanzZwiEt: what do users think?

Suzanne Van Roosbroeck: NIGHTMARE!!! Watch out! This company is an absolute nightmare; mismanagement, zero communication, rudeness and disrespect sum up the TanzZwiet experience. I am not here to write about the quality of the classes. (Fact is that classes are too crowded and the space is too small. What should be fun for kids is mega stressful – for both parents and children. Reason why many parents I know withdrew their kids from TanzZwiet.) I am here to explain why you should never consider this company as the one for your child. My daughter was at TanzZwiet before Corona hit. Classes were not taking place for weeks, yet money was still taken off my account. In November 2020 I had written an email stating that I cancelled my contract. I did this per email, thinking it would be OK and clear. At that time, I had been paying 9 months of no-classes. I received a message that my cancellation would be transferred to the accounting department. Months after the 6-month cancellation period though I realized payments were still taken off my account. I have contacted TanzZwiet numerous times, per email and by phone. I didn’t receive any information or support. Then this year, I received an InKasso letter presenting an invoice for nearly ANOTHER year of membership without classes. Obviously, this InKasso writing came even before a final invoice was ever sent to me by TanzZwiet. Because who doesn’t want to pay and additional EUR 160 on an invoice she already considers not correct? I am stunned by the rudeness and shamelessness of this company. In total, they expect 2 years of payment without any service. Only last month I received a contractual statement that explains you need to cancel per letter or in person. All of a sudden though, a cancellation per email was accepted, only 15 months late?!? Is this how companies can act these days? I feel they have neglected my communication and my wishes so that they could still take the money out of my account, which feels like stealing to me. Until today, when I call they rudely tell me to contact the accounting department per email. When I write the accounting department, no answer comes back. Nothing. NEVER have I experienced anything like it. As a foreigner that does not master the German language, or as a customer in general one might only expect clear communication about the rules. This is an absolute shame and disaster. In conclusion: not just incompetent, also disrespectful, arrogant, and unable to communicate. Does this sound like an environment you want your child to be in?

Ines Casas Corvinos: Rrally bad service, they needed more than a month to answer! I paid for two classes that i never was able to take because they don‘t exist anymore

Marija 5: Low energy dance class, I visited the zumba class not sure about the instructor anymore

File2: Breakdance carried

Helene Mergenthaler: I have been dancing at this dance school for many years and I love it. The dance school not only offers a totally family environment with highly motivated and attentive trainers, it also has an extremely wide range of offers. There is something for every age group and every level. All employees are open-minded and friendly and are happy to take the time to answer questions and concerns. In addition to the dance lessons, which are lovingly designed, you always take part in exciting performances and can thus present your own progress on stage. Best dance school in Berlin!!

Rico Berger: Impossible business conduct upon termination of the contract. Children are not only changing their interests during the pandemic. You should be able to deal with that. At first there was no feedback that our daughter had stopped dancing. There was no response to the notice we then gave, which was admittedly not in the proper form, but more money was collected. Then the written formal notice with registered letter + return receipt and endless period of notice would be accepted, but after a year we received a letter from the debt collection agency in the house, even though we had paid all the monthly contributions that were still due in advance. They then wanted more than 80 € with an outstanding payment i.H.v. believe it or not 5 €. Tell me are you still okay? So hands off. Never enter, because exiting is almost impossible, even if it is of course all in the small print. Better look for another dance school with more customer orientation.

Marie Giulia: Wide range of courses, especially great for children! Qualified teachers who work with the children and not only impart movement material, but also stimulate their own imagination and promote personal development.

amadooya: Strong sense of community, you are well supported here and quickly find your place. Every teacher is passionate about this and makes the lessons very lively and inviting. A house full of diversity and character, which is always left with a smile :^)

Gustaf Schmiedel: The Tanzzwiet itself is not only a very extensive and instructive dance school, but also a very welcoming retreat. Tanzzwiet is not a lifeless ballet school. It is a diverse organization that offers many courses. The trainers are very passionate and make their lessons serious and interesting.
