Rickenbacker’s Music-Inn: what do users think?

Kateryna Gundrova: It’s a really nice bar with a rock music. We paid 12 euro for the concert with a live band. Main dishes you can order from 7,50 euro, cocktails start from 7 euro, beer 🍺 is 4,80 euro. Big portions and tasty. Nice atmosphere, people dance and enjoy the music. Work hours are from 18:00 till 00:00.

Cem Benezra: The place has an "concert fee" of 15€/person. Also you might get pushed away by the waitress so beware! We learned that the place is usually packed with local old timers so you might find it hard to find a place if you are late. But surely the place is having fun! The atmosphere is pleasant and the music was great. Thanks to the local band Die Gabys we had a great night. I highly recommend the band. They rock! So see them live if you can.

Kai Sha: Pros Good music Lovely staff . Cons Cash only - no cards accepted Crowded (nowhere to sit) even on a Tuesday Age group is 70+ (no exaggeration)

Randeep Singh: Experience here was good as you enter inside the premises you will get into old Germany era. Very rustic and old school bar with live music events happening everyday. Have good beers on tap staff speaks English and they are very welcoming. Need to work in food though plating of food was average portion was very big and missing salt. I recommend people to go here to have a good time in Berlin way.

Fariba Fathi: One of the best bar in berlon with live music. Freindly staff and warm atmospher. Go and enjoy the music, drink & food here!

Oliver Schultz: Actually I should rate it one star to make sure this really funky cool place will not get even more overcrowded ;-)Enjoy every Monday an exceptional Jam Session!

Philipp Le Blank: Great live music!!Probably the best live music in town.

Peter Close: Incredible place for live music, any night of the week. The sound engineer is cute too

Alfredo Marcus: Great vibe, cool musicians jamming. There’s a jam session every evening. I think it starts at 9pm, usually closes at midnight, lasts call 11:30. Cocktails are good bear in mind it’s not a Propper cocktail place where they take their time to craft them. They don’t even shake the sours, they just used hidden shaking smoothies blender. Anyways the waiters are nice and the musicians have the best attitude, one of them even came and chat with us for a bit.

Alaa Mahmoud: One of my favourite bars in Berlin! Live jazz music in the night with very nice musicians, good cocktails, warm lights, I love the atmosphere ❤️
Response: Thank you very much, dear Alaa Mahmoud, for a great review! We're happy that you're happy, and we're looking forward to your next visit to The Hat Bar!

Septi Dwisidi Hapsari: Small jazz club, there’s not too many cocktails choices but totally love the ambiance of the bar, they perform live jazz every night, if you are jazz enthusiasts, you’ll love this place. The place is usually crowded but the service is fast
Response: Septi Dwisidi Hapsari, thank you for the great review! We’re so happy you loved your experience and can’t wait to see you again soon!

Met Usa: A very cool bar under the train tracks with live jazz music almost (maybe) everyday. Great cocktails, good sounds system. Maybe they can improve their air circulation a bit better if they keep letting people smoke inside

Marcio Pezzo: The great band, outstanding cocktails and cool atmosphere make this a place one of my favorites in Berlin.
Response: Dear Marcio Pezzo, we highly appreciate your positive review!

Documentaries Short: The actual place is too small and unconfortably narrow shaped, isn’t cosy but soulless.Pretentious place, unreasonable prices, joyless staff. Good music indeed but Old-school jazz bar it is definitely NOT.
Response: Hallo, Documentaries Short! Since we are not sure if you are a real person who has ever visited our establishment, please contact us personally via email mail@thehatbar.de, and we would be happy to discuss the issue at your earliest convenience.

Prasad Gone: Wonderful old jazz bar where you can enjoy a locally brewed beer and live music in a buzzing and often busy spot. The decor is eclectic and really makes the place that bit more special. I suggest to reserve the table before the place busy during weekends.
Response: Thank you!

oğuzhan karacüllü: Small and friendly place for a jazz night. Dinner was also quite tasty. Your should definitely give a shot to steak. Also they had good wine opportunities. Only problem is service is slow and the place was really congested and crowded. Without reservation it’s impossible to find a table. Staff was friendly and they can speak English good enough. Recommend this place for a night out with friends.
Response: Thank you!

Frances Piper: Got the potatoes and schnitzel, potatoes all garlic and oily and herby, really delicious, comfort food with a guiness type beer. like a good pub with home cooked food. and kind staff.
Response: Thank you!!

Septi Dwisidi Hapsari: I suggest to reserve a table if you really want to sit indoor and watch the live performance. I had to sit outside and can’t really enjoy the music, but if you go with friends and just wanna drink and hang out, it won’t be a problem. Service staff were fast and attentive even though it’s full
Response: Thank you!

Cristina Delgado: I love live music and that was great, but the waiter ruined our experience there. Most rude person I ever meet. We raise the hand to call him, I think in a normal way when people can not hear because of the noise around, he arrived after a while and tell us “you are in Germany and you do not call waiters here with your hand, that is un-polite, next thing he says “welcome to Germany”, and then he says “you need to thank me because I say welcome”… at some point I thought he was joking as I could not believe what was happening. After that he ask us to order and we order food, his reaction was to say “did you ask me first if kitchen was open”… I couldn’t believe how a person like this is working as customer service.
Response: First I want to apologize for this person. I am deeply saddened to have someone like that on our team, but unfortunately I don't know exactly who is meant. Such statements are in any case not typical for us and unacceptable. Please don't judge us based on this experience alone.

Ignacio Gonzalez: Okay, chill place. Nice environment. Quality price okay for being german cuisine. Thr flammküchen was a bit salty.
Response: Thanks!

Ewerton P.: The perfect place to watch a football match.Beer is perfect, service is excellent. Although the kitchen is not always open, the food is great.

San San Chow: was here during football matches totally crowded with human, dont expect to sit comfortably at your own seats nice Guinness Stout as they offer Pitches as well reasonable price Live band was nice and fun!

Natalia Ortelli: They had live music on Friday evening, good potpourri of classics, people are very chatty in the smoking room it was a very friendly atmosphere. The waiters were busy but always attentive and smiley. We had Guinness and cheese toasties.

Jakob Bach Jensen: Great pub with very nice staff that speaks great English. Would recommend.

Tim Tregenza: This famous venue in Old West Berlin at the bottom of Europa Centre is a bit of a classic. Live music and plenty of space are two attractions. One downside I noticed was the smell of tobacco (presumably coming through the air conditioning/ heating system.

Tore Brynaa: Nice with live music.Good selection of beers and drinks.Place is sometimes quite busy, but service stays fairly quick. I hate waiting, and these people do a good job

ullas arora: Went there to watch fifa finale with my colleagues. The pub is hug with many different zones to sit and watch games on big screen. Beer was good and service attitude was appreciable. Will try to be visit again.

Steve: Watched Champions League game, very good pub and atmosphere. Staff excellent

BII 79: Nice friendly service. Lots of room, and cold beer. Beer is a bit more expensive than other pubs in the city, so beware.

Roy F: The music show was good. But there is not enough room to sit and sitting chairs and corner/wall sitting places are very uncomfortable.

Slavena Ruseva: Really good place - a bit pricey but it was worth it! Cocktails were great and the terrace was super cozy and quiet even though it’s a busy street outside. The deserts were good, too. Definitely recommend.

Tony Brock: The open air entertainment was good, but the upstairs bar prices were high and the personnel were rude and unproffessional. Never again!

Arunima Raigar: Nice atmosphere and really good drinks. They make fantastic cocktails!

Alex: Super relaxed atmosphere. Nice place to relax and enjoy your drink.
Response: Hello Alex, thanks for the kudos - I'll be happy to pass it on to the whole team as well. See you hopefully soon again at Quasimodo 🎷

Mohsen Abedi: Very nice bar. They have events all the time and we were there for comedy shows two time. Both great and pure fun. The bar is good and reasonably priced. If you plan to go, it Would worth the visit.

Gijs van der Laan: Sat down here for a coffee and some sandwiches, glad we found this place! Pretty quiet and relaxed, setting is very open and light. Has very high ceilings and large square colums which give it a particular atmosphere. Service was good, prices fair, food delicious! Keep it up!

rutu mistry: Very less options of alcohol. Good place for comedy show but not so great for alcohol.
Response: Hey Rutu - we're sorry to hear you didn't find something you liked at our bar. Maybe you can come visit us again and have one of our bartenders guide you through our wide range of beers, wines, liquors and cocktails next time. I'm sure there's plenty of options you would like!

hagay isaak: nice place to sit with your computer for hours, not a fan of their coffee.

Abdullah Albeedh: I came in a cold night in October, the light and music are so soothing, i swear I’ve never visited a café better than this and it kills me knowing im leaving Berlin soon . Just a tip if you have a date this place is perfect for that , also the cheesecake is perfected well, if I’m ever in Berlin again I’m coming here!
Response: Thanks for the nice review Abdullah- you're welcome any time you pass through again! See you next time-

Kevin Fagan: What a lucky find this place was. Very friendly staff, excellent quiet place, really good to chill or work and food was delicious. Also they have live music in the evenings. Well worth a visit

James Rea: The best carrot cake ever and good bar overall. Saw Stephen Paul Taylor and band live yesterday at this venue. excellent lighting and audio. good selection of drinks. Great staff.

Mosti Ghu: Nice location but the air circulation is almost non-existance. Anything else was fine

Efour “Efour”: Sunday open mic. Some real local talent. It was pretty quiet there but if it got busy. It would probably get sweaty and hellish fast.

Tahoe Fiala: Been here twice now and I can’t wait to come back! The drinks are always good and the people I meet here a super entertaining!! I always have a great time. They have arcade games and all the furniture is in the ceiling for some reason....Would recommend if you are looking for a good bar with room to sit down!!!

Taylor Hermerding: Came here for the first time back in December - great vibe, donation-based cover, good and cheap beer! Friendly bartenders, even though it was packed, which, props. Tip your bartender. Good DJ in the main bar area. As with most hip places in Berlin, be prepared for smoke. Nice place to take your friends visiting you in Berlin to trick them into thinking you’re far more cool than you actually are.

shir cohen: Nice bar. Very hard to breathe there because it is allowed to smoke inside. The live show is great

C: Quaint piano bar that is definitely worth a visit. We read other helpful reviews and decided to visit around 7pm at the weekend in July 2022. We waited to order at the bar but then was told by staff it was table service, however, they took a short time to come. Drinks were pricey but nice. The view was lovely, however, spoiled by a rather not-so-nice smell perhaps from the river. The piano music was great and the player had a great voice and it was at the perfect volume too. Highly recommend visiting!

Rachel Byrne: Cocktails are definitely the tastiest we had in Berlin. They have a big menu with plenty of choices. The staff were friendly, however service was very slow. Definitely worth a visit, try get a spot sat next to the river!

Maria Venegas Carro: The cocktails are really good but the staff is quite unfriendly. Would recommend if you are patient enough to stand the waiters

Karola J: Very nice and friendly staff. Inside live piano music which you can hear also outside. Nice atmosphere to drink wine. Very recommended!

Kate Buketava: Amazing place! Cozy atmosphere with live piano music

Fabiano Daoud: Good atmosphere, drinks and staff. I definitely recommend this place.

Team Mistry: Very cute bar with friendly staff. Busy in the eve but can be confusing trying to order. Staff speak German and English. Piano music was nice.

Ignacio Gonzalez: Good. The service is quite nice. They are very busy and it might take you a while to be attended. The mexicanar shots costs 1€. The beer from tap 3.8€ and cocktails around 8€. They have nice music. Sometimes it gets a bit messy and crowded. With the people all around. It might not be the best option for a quiet date.

Sh Shh: Nice soulful place with live music

오유리: Perfect….but it was really dark especially really inside of it

Matthew Conway: The music selection is always flawless! I always seem to leave with a new favourite song. Plus the bar is definitely fair priced - always a winner! 100% would recommend!

JP Borman: Groovy baby! Good tunes. Cool vibe. It is Berlin, not German.

Finn Kanahara: A place with vinyl music and international audience. Dive back in time and enjoy.

Joe Said: Good music and safe I enjoy it

Youju (youju_j): * Check the website before you visit.(awesome jazz band list is waiting for you🤩) * Reservation recommended (it’s a quite big place compared to other jazz bars. So you still might find bar seats even though you didn’t book the night, but nice places are usually occupied by customers with reservations. * For most people, such as myself (who have a poor sense of direction), it may be difficult to find the entrance through google maps. If you are somehow entering a road between buildings, and you feel like “Am I going well...? “ . Then that’s right feeling. just walk one minute more ! ) * Bring your student ID card , If you are a student you will receive up to 5 euros discount ! * Nice snacks + reasonable prices for drinks 🍷 * Friendly Staff * Good Location : Under 5 min from U6 Naturkundemuseum *** I would like to recommend this place to anyone who is going to visit a Jazz Bar for the first time. 🐱 : Schlot has a quiet crowd, that likes to listen instead of talking, much like the crowd you would find at a concert.

Charline P (Truck): I really like here. Nice music nice location. Most important, not as crowded as some too famous Jazz Club in Berlin. Good management.

John Abarshi: Cosy underground jazz club with a heart. Low key vibes where the musical artistry really shines through. Additionally super nice staff! The manager gave me a free drink after a misunderstanding. Visitors will need to provide proof of vaccination or negative test <24hrs like many places in Berlin.

Olesya Sachenko: Awesome experience! Good music, good vibe, reasonably priced. The entrance fee was 13€, soft drinks 2-3€, a glass of wine 4€, peanuts 1€, cheese plate 7€. but you’re not obligated to order anything.

Noheir El Adly: I came here with a group of friends and we had a great night. The place has history as it used to be an old lamps factory, the first one was produced here. Check the side decoration windows. The ambient and acoustics are great. Staff is friendly drinks prices are very reasonable. Wine at 3€ and a good Aperol for 5€. There are free entry evenings during the week, we came at a night and paid 13€/ticket. One can make reservations as it could be full. Check their website for programs. Not good for wheelchair users. Toilets are ok.

Johan van Ieperen: Big band. Not expensive at all. Maybe you need to make a reservation and be there at least 30 minutes beforehand.

Donna Lay: We visited on a Sunday evening and were pleasantly surprised by a performance going on that night. I liked the vibe of the space, and the music was so very wonderful. Nice to see a diverse age group in the audience as well. I will definitely visit again, the next time we are in Berlin!

Lynn Beyrouthy: You have to come try their Arak, it’s a great atmosphere with the friendliest staff I’ve ever met. When I first visited this bar, I didn’t imagine that I would be coming back so often. The music, the atmosphere, the crowd, the drinks, I love it all. Somehow felt like home from the first visit. Thank you for creating this space

Ali Mustafa: Great place and staff, hosts events for migrants and oppressed people, very inclusive and colorful. The place for people from the global south

Yasmeen Daher: A charming place in the heart of the neighborhood. Highly recommended for spending a great time with friends accompanied by delightful music and delicious food and drinks. It is a great spot to work during the day in a quite atmosphere. A vibrant and friendly team runs this space and offers great shows, talks and events.
Response: Its very kind of you to share this lovely review <3 hope to have you here again soon. <3

Lamia Moghnie: Great place for a morning coffee and/or an evening drink with friends. I usually go there to work during the day. They also have amazing drinks and I especially like their white wine and Arak, and offer a variety of snacks. They also host music and cultural events!
Response: Thank you for your warm words :-) <3 we are waiting to host you again hopefully soon. <3

Hanan Toukan: This place is a gem and an oasis in a busy part of kreutzberg. Not only do the amazing collective of friends and artists that created this space serve the best coffee and Arak and Hummus in town, they manage to be both a daytime cafe and a nighttime bar by transitioning smoothly between both. Kids can play while their parents have their morning coffees and afternoon drinks, all under one roof! To top it all off and in typical Berlin fashion they also host art shows and talks as well as varied cultural events.
Response: Thanks for this heart warming review <3 Hoping to host you again soon <3

Dima Hamdan: Great place... friendly staff, excellent drinks, great live music and just very laid back and unpretentious, the perfect spot if you want to avoid the noisy parts of Kreuzberg!
Response: We are waiting to host you again! <3 thanks for the warm words. <3

Alia Mossallam: Beautiful place for children and grown-ups alike! Run by a wonderful team, an ideal space for workshops, cultural events, talks or drinks.

Małgorzata Ch.: Great place, music, people and drinks! Lady bartender was super organised and very nice. One of my fav pubs in Berlin. Will be back for sure!

Aspasia Pramateftaki: Nice bar, nice music. Its a good place to grab a beer and spend your evening!

Anastasiia Renkas: rock bar, smoking inside, good music, alcohol available

M K: hard rock, metal or punk music playing in their speakers. Chill spot but you can’t always hear each other talking

Cajou: Amazing bar, really nice atmosphère ! Perfect to start a party!

Carla Sokołowska: 4.5/5 Great place, exactly my vibe, the cocktails are mediocre but they have a wide range of beers. Also a big plus for the pinball machine, great music and smoking inside.

Josip Vrban: Nice place , really like it. Music is good, beer is cold and shots are not expensive

terri-louise Ó leathlobhair: Blonde working behind the bar is the single rudest person I have ever met. Completely racist. Took one look at my asian boyfriend and shut the door in our faces. Said the bar was closing, much to the shock of the patrons we were speaking to outside. Seems it was the first they had heard about the new closing time. Her attitude was abysmal. She should be ashamed of herself. Other reviews have mentioned her and mentioned that non-german speakers i.e. foreigners are not welcome. I should have heeded the warning. Nothing but bad wishes to you. Horrid person.
Response: We don't have a blonde waitress at all 🤷🏼 ♀️ and you can accuse us of everything but no racism! A

Andreja Kirisic: Nice punk bar with really kind and friendly bar staff, Hana and Rakye were so great with there positive and welcoming attitude, much love!!
