Clara Faustine: cool bar - unfortunately there was no burlesque show due to neighbours. but they managed to make it into something to laugh about and still make it an enjoyable place at the end of the day. decent price and nice ambient!

Vanessa Schmäske: Always a great experience to go there. It's a small, crowded bar, the staff is super friendly and fun to talk to, sometimes they have fun events going on. The atmosphere is what's best though. Drink prices are more on the upper end, but worth it. Definitely recommended.
Syn Platona: One of my favorite bars in Berlin and I'm not even talking about the amazing shows. Great beer and friendly service, since my first time I felt like I'm surrounded by friends. Highly recommended.

Anna Klassen: I was visiting the 'burlesque life sketching thing'. (I ordered a ticket online for that) I think it's a great idea but personally just enjoying the show and having a couple of drinks would have been fine, too. The sketching part starting with one and two minutes was a bit too stressful for me. It's hard to not get distracted by shiny costumes, people that walk by and music(although the music was great for the show). Light conditions as expected in a bar, darkish so not the best conditions to draw. If I could change some things: I would start with ten or fifteen minutes and do shorter sessions after that. The bar itself is cute, nice bartender, good vibes.

Mellissa McConnell: Great cocktails, great beers, great shows. Love the fun decor. The staff are all so nice and wonderful. I once accidentally left my scarf (with a lot of sentimental value), and when I messaged them on Instagram, they got it back to me the next day. This place can brighten up even the worst days!
Steve Karsten: I've been wanting to check this one out for a while. Some craft beer bars only do beer but this is a complete bar that happens to have a solid selection. 3 standard German beers on tap with a rotating variety of 7 craft beers written on chalkboards. Prices are great. Ambience is pretty rock and roll with esoteric and fun decorations. The staff did a great job and there was a woman doing tarot readings up in the front of the bar. Live music a few times a week. Definitely will come back here. They have free Mexikaners on Sundays!!!

Daniel Devine: Went on a recent trip to Berlin (Dec ‘22) for a gig (Shikari in Potsdam) and looked up some rock type bars. This was a really nice place, was on a Sunday late evening so wasn’t super busy, few (presumably) locals at the bar but did get a few more people in over the next hour or two. Barmaid was nice and helpful despite our groups dreadful German skills, and even some at the bar chimed in which was nice haha. As always in Germany, just asked for whatever beer they’d recommend and our group for a few different ones, everyone enjoyed them! Nice atmosphere, music obviously rock based which is what we were after. Fusball table that’s free to use too in the corner, interesting addition and one I’ve seen in a few places now, very welcome one haha! They had a super interesting map on the wall where you can pin where you’ve come from which was cool to look at and see all the different places! Smoking indoors is still a thing in Berlin, I’m not a smoker but it never bothered me that much. Might not be up everyone’s street, that’s just the way they do things. Overall, nice place, can bet it’s even better in Summer. Would go again next time I’m in Berlin!

Anish Nangia: Not sure what you need to do (or look like) to get service here. stood at the bar for 20 minutes and got completely ignored. Eventually left. I wasn’t rude - barely said a word - but the bartender kept serving other people before me. 🤷♂️ The decor is cool though - loved the map in the back. But couldn’t get a drink so can’t give a better review lol Just go around the corner if this happens do you - plenty of other bars in the area.

David White: Extremely unwelcoming staff. Walked in and stood at the bar for 10 minutes trying to order a drink and the bar staff didn’t serve us even though we were the only customers waiting. I asked nicely if I could order and the lady aggressively said can’t you see I’m busy and then walked off and started drinking wine with her friend at a table.
Response: We're extremely friendly and extremely cool, as you can read in the 98,7% other Reviews ;-) But sometimes people came to the wrong forrest.... You and your buddies ran in, straight to the bar (no hello), watched me helping and explaining a big order to the new barmaid and after 1 minute (not 10min) you shouted to me (you did not asked nicely): HEY! HEY! I want to order HEY! HEY!! I said: Do not stress me out, I'm busy and you must wait! (And welcome that I explained it in your language) Maybe you don't go out often or you just don't know it any better, but when you go to a Rock Bar on Saturday Night in Berlin City, then maybe you might not get served within 1 minute. Some people are poison for our warm and familiar atmosphere, and yea, then we are definitely not welcoming. But we love all the other nice, friendly and cool people from all over the world who visit us <3

Naveen Handa: This bar is a great example of how old school bar should be. Great beer, and liquor choices and cigarettes ,very cosy seating area with dim yellow lights makes up for a perfect evening. Very affordable prices but they only accept cash 💶 On top of that the bartender is a very cool, helpful person. Recommended if you’re looking for a evening drinks with your friend in an old 1995 style bar because yes they don’t have wifi 😀😀

Lucas Anjos: Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, some fun games around the bar. The selection of beers is not the greatest, but the bar makes up for it with several shots and reasonably priced drinks. Awesome soundtrack too, usually with old school rock. I completely recommend it.

Jo'juan Johnson: Wow what an amazing way to spend one of our last nights in Berlin!!! TheCoven bar is a really special place. When we got in there were just a few people in the place and we got the chance to take in the cool, dark but inviting atmosphere. We also got to chat with the amazing bartender tonight Tom who completely added to the inviting feel! This didn't last long as the place was quickly packed with locals, tourists, men and women. This did nothing however to change the great atmosphere. The place was packed but still very chill. The music was upbeat but understated. And the bartender Tom, if anything seemed more in his element taking care of the non-stop requests. There is an extensive lists of original cocktails as well as twists on classics. Anyone looking to enjoy themselves in Berlin would be well served doing in at TheCoven!!!!

Ahmed Ashraf: I spent a couple of nights in Berlin, went to a ton of bars but nothing tops the Coven, the cocktails, the shots and even the beer were some of the best drinks I have ever had in my entire life. Husik is easily the greatest bartender in the city, and the nicest man I met in Berlin. The Coven is a must stop if you want some place cozy with great drinks and casual music in the background.

Aarron Hirst: If your face doesn't fit you won't be allowed in. Having travelled all over the world I have never been not allowed to enter a bar until now... I arrived at The Covern bar last night for the door man to tell me that they were full. It's venue's like this that don't deserve your custom plus so many more great inclusive bars in Berlin that do deserve your patronage.

Charlotte Cutts: We reserved a table with a €20 tab for the Formula 1 race, after being told that was the only way to secure seats. Due to a mistake when ordering, our tab was not deducted from our bill but instead the full meal was paid by my partner, and we were told we couldn't get a refund and had to instead get more drinks to use up the tab. Computer says no, till remained shut. We weren't even told I could claim back the prepayment later on by contacting whoever I transferred the money to in the first place - just that the tab was nonrefundable, tough luck, even though we had spent in excess of it already. Absolutely bizarre and presumptuous handling of the situation and appalling customer service - on what planet do you pay €20 to a bar in advance and get nothing in return? We wouldn't have even minded paying a few euros to "buy" our seats, we get the logic behind it, but this was not the agreement when I transferred the money a few days before the race. In the end we ordered more drinks to use up the tab and save the stress of charging back my credit card for the prepayment, eve though we didn't really want to. We want to support the hospitality business as best we can after a tough couple of years, but €20 is not small change for us and we trusted that our prepayment would be handled properly. Edit: the matter was resolved quickly the next day. While we are still disappointed about how it was handled at the bar - we would have been fine if we were told we could claim a refund online, but we were told we couldn't get a refund at all - I can't fault the response of the back office and the professionalism of their response. Thanks for this and I have amended my review accordingly. Everything was otherwise good!

For a reason that we’re still trying to get to the bottom of, the staff member dealing with your request had been given the wrong information. James Patock: The bar staff is comprised of young, inexperienced and incredibly rude people. I had a minor issue blown out of proportion by bar staff that was incredibly rude, refused to listen and laughed at me when I tried explain myself. The bar manager ignored me and intentionally kept his back to me while „getting the opinion“ of the waitress. It was a simple misunderstanding that was blown up by staff and management. As a guest in the hostel I expect to at the very least not be treated with disdain, laughter and sarcasm. There are so many better bars to be treated poorly in I recommend avoiding this one. Responding to the „owner“ this is in fact not what happened, not one of your staff was polite or respectful. I was unaware of the policy, finished the last drink of my beer and told both the first and second person I understood. Had your staff or manager responded differently with perhaps the politeness you claim I would not have felt it necessary to waste my time speaking to the manager (who it turned out was as rude and disagreeable and more concerned with defending the actions of his staff than listening to me. Which appears to be the policy of everyone working at Belushi’s) in the first place and subsequently leaving a review calling out what appears to be a general policy and practice of treating hostel guests and customers of the bar with disdain and rudeness. Had at any point during the experience a single person listened to me and perhaps practiced anything resembling customer service this would be a different review. I stand by my review which is based on my actual experience and not the hearsay of bar staff defending each other’s actions. Avoid this bar.

Alessia Rufolo: My Aperol spritz didn’t have alcohol, as you can see by the Color in the picture. I went back to ask for a little more of the aperol inside but they refused and claimed they used the right measurement, which is not true

The bar staff do not free-pour and therefore all cocktails go out with the correct recipe measurement. You can see orange in the glass so there was Aperol in there, but as the other ingredients are Sekt and Soda, it also naturally looks watery until it is stirred properly. AGUSTINDIJOQUE: The atmosphere is simply AMAZING. But the most important is the attention from the staff Hassam and Anastasia who is an artist 🧑🎨 with the drinks, just watching her preparing the drinks and cocktails is stunning. They offer your a chocolate liquor which is delicious. The drinks menu is delicate and well done. Is a must to come here is you are in Berlin. They have all that you want and know what they mix. The music is perfect, including the volume.

We went here for my partner and I’s anniversary and we got to chat with the bartenders about the drinks, which they are very knowledgeable and informing of the drink in perspective of your preferences. Rodrigo Rivera: This bar is full of creative creations. There are cocktails for everyone, and the location offers a very cozy and intimate atmosphere. It is a great place to go for a date or meet someone.
Fariba Fathi: We ordered 3 different cocktail, i liked their new taste, also the dark wall and design made the atmosphere more comfortable. Staffs are friendly and price a little expencive. Smoking is free inside and maybe it effect on you after some hours. I liked here and definitly i'll come back!

Vedraj r.m: It’s a really awesome place. Cool vibes amazing people and music. Fair prices But the only issue is that it’s too smoky. They should really invest in some proper ventilation If not allot a dedicated smoking room. But apart from that, the dance floor is nice, the DJs are quite good too. And the kicker/fooseball table is free on most weekdays So it’s a fun time over. If you are not a smoker and don’t like smoke and don’t want all your clothes stinking, then don’t go here If not, it’s an awesome place in Berlin

Pepper Boat: Love this place!Smoke,whiskey,jazz,fireplace(real fire),antique furniture touch,attention to details and sense of being in private flat instead of a bar.No clubbing vibe or intence lights,nice crowd,everyone talks. Good choice of alcohol ,but no snacks(nuts only),sigarette machine is availible. It’s one room smoking bar and it gets crowdy after 10-11pm.Only thing I found uncomfortable-tiny tables by the mirror are not stable at all,they basically dance under a whiskey glass and every touch of clothes of others,felt a bit tiring to watch to not to drop it.

Dalia Hamouda: I used to be a regular at the place for a few months. Yet as I was taking a photo (then I learned later it’s not allowed in the most offensive way). The bartender shouted at me, I apologized at first cause I thought that the place was crowded and they were shouting for that, but there was a lot of aggression directed at me from them that ai decided not to delete my very blurry photo. I showed them the photo to tell them that it’s blurry anyways and they shouldn’t get so aggressive with me and I will delete it yet they insisted on screaming and told me to leave the place. Another staff member came and talked to me and I told them how rude their colleague were but they weren’t any better and they were apologetic for them being rude and aggressive. I tried to talk to them again to make them understand the situation to be asked to stop talking, and that they don’t have time to talk to me and was asked to leave again. I felt a very masculine aggression from those two people in the staff, a lot of arrogance and lack of understanding. And the photo taken is attached here to show how they overreacted in a way I never thought I would experience in a queer bar. Not recommended, and should be avoided. Too bad that there are not so many choices in Berlin for queer women. Shame
W V: We were having some fun with friends and suddenly they kicked us out of the bar in a bad way... Without giving us any explanations. We had to call the police to get them to do something. When we asked the reason, no one wanted to explain it to us. Very bad experience!!!!

R S: Refused entrance for In Transit night because we were considered not non-binary enough (?) by a bar's employee. Which is crazy if you think about, living in a society where people assume things for you, and then getting the same treatment in places which are meant to be inclusive for people like us. I guess it's because of our middle eastern appearance, while people like us can't be non-binary. It's a surprising and sad thing to learn from people who pretend to be in a forefront of queer liberation, when actually they promote same old patriarchal and racist world views and harm gender nonconforming community.
Simge Erdoğan: So this was my final destination of the story... The Finale. Always wanted to go to this place, as it was recommended by couple of people. Finally had a rather sweet bitter reason to finally visit the place :)) There was this certain someone, I sort of fancied, and finally had a courage to come out and confess that... You know how it goes, you wait for the right time, right surrounding, for me it was the wide cosy place right in front of Mobel Olfe, with little music in the background, a semi private dim lights seemed like the right kind a place to get my virgin heart broken haha (First for everything right?). Anyhow, I knew the chances were slim, but I had to be honest and share what I felt. Got friend-zoned, made jokes of the situation and moved along to the lovely Mobel Olfe to have some drinks. The only thing I found shocking was; they serve rakı as a 'shot', which is considered a blasphemy in my book!!! Nevertheless, happy that I did not end up treating it as tequila to drink my sorrow away haha Oh well, we accept what it is and move on :) And hope the next time I visit this lovely place, I'll do so with warm company
Donna Lay: We visited during ladies night and had a great time. It gets busy inside so people spill out onto the walkway in the back and sit on the curb. We eventually were able to grab seating on the tables outside in the front of the bar, but when they were closing the doors it was standing room only inside. Not that I minded - everyone was very friendly. We would definitely go back again when we’re in Berlin. Note that indoor smoking is permitted.
Interpret This: The guy at the door didn't let me and my friend in bcs it's was a non-binary night until midnight! I said ok and he was still standing in front of the door, not letting us in. This is ridiculous, you are just adding gasoline on fire with this type of behaviour. Like there aren't enough issues and discrimination within the community. Horrible!!!

Jane Kilian: A friend of mine got hit in the face by a super aggressive barkeeper because we didn't go into the bar fast enough. After reaching out a couple of times we weren't allowed to go in anymore. We never got an apologize and had a couple of arguments with the staff. If I could give zero points I would. Definetly not a safe and open space like they try to be. We really liked this place but we will not go there anymore. Spread the word!

Yamen Bazzi: Really amazing dynamic bar that offers a dance floor and is usually full of life. The drinks prices are a bit more than moderate but the atmosphere definitely is very social as people sit so very close to you, you cannot not have a conversation (of course you can disengage). People there are so friendly, and the staff are even nice. My favourite part about this bar is that it has a table tennis in a separate room and you can play and meet new people while you enjoy your beverage.
Denise Tench: This bar is a neighbourhood gem and had a great atmosphere, but it was so packed that there was barely anywhere to stand. Much of the space was taken up with a large ping pong table, which looked like good fun and was very popular. A beer was around five euro and decent quality. The bar has that vintage/retro decoration and is designed like old living rooms, while the music is a bit more electro at the weekend. A popular spot, I think I would be able to say more had I gotten a seat and stayed longer.
Jonas: Great place that gets hella crowded on the weekend. Talking is difficult tho as the music is extremely loud, so if you're trying to have a nice conversation, you might wanna look somewhere else. The place has a really interesting vibe. Someone has to show the bartender at the smaller bar how to tap a beer though, guy in front of me paid five bucks for a glass of foam. But overall nice place, we'll be coming back!
Tuba Iqbal: The bar is super crowded with dim lights. The hidden corners add alot of complexity. I went to enjoy table tennis there but the people playing there did not seem to be enjoying it at all. I also had the worst Mexicaner there.The only good thing is that they allow card payments only.
Diego Ajassa: I've visited after some time I wasn't there. I found the atmosphere getting worse and prices getting too high compared to what is served: the gin tonic was unbearable, the beers were served with half glass full of foam and spilled in the worst way ever seen, with the nozzle totally submerged in the glass, very hygienic..

Maggie Pierce: Super fun bar and pretty close to many clubs. This would be the perfect place to start a night out and get you in the mood to party. Great music, fun atmosphere. Unfortunately, you’re not allowed to dance right now because of Covid. But, we got away with it for about 20 mins so do what you will with that info. I like all of the different rooms they have, it makes the bar really dynamic and fun. I’ll definitely return when I come back to Berlin!
Miguel Vieira: It's such a cool little hang out! The place oozes character. It's dark, old and offers weird art and decor to stare at. Drinks are affordable and people are friendly. There's a coat check in service as well as a large ping pong table that everyone can involved with! Visit this bar!

Sailor Moon: This bar is really dark and looks luxurious. It is a nice place to have a few drinks. The vibe just wasn’t there for me personally. Drinks were okay but nothing to crazy. The girls working the bar were nice. It would be instagram worthy if it wasnt to dark to take photos.
Frazzot: Very cosy bar and nice staff. I'm not a fan of the fact that you can smoke inside, the air was thick and gave me a sore throat. But that's more of a me-problem! Loved it otherwise!

Our whiskey sour’s were basically sugar waters, no egg white inside and for 13€ per drink the whole experience was more than disappointing.

Franz Wiedemann (Foreign_Francis): Management seems to not have a clue on how to run a business. Employees are untrained, even though they are trying their best. However, when you pay 15-20€ for a cocktail you expect and deserve better.

Karolina Biskup: This place was on my list when we visit Berlin and even thought we had to wait in queue more than half hour I think it was worth it. The view is speechless, especially during sunset. Drinks were amazing - the best quality and interesting taste. Unfortunately we haven’t seen any animals from zoo but the view was really nice still :)
Mattia Chiapello: Great rooftop bar, with a nice ambiance, good views over the zoo areas, and great cocktails! Keep in mind that drinks are on the expensive side (€13–15), but we all agreed it was worth it, since they all tasted really good. Also consider that the zoo has no light at night, so if you want a good view of that side, you should come before it gets dark. And there was a line to enter the bar (about 10 mins), so one more reason to come early! PS: our waitress was a little grumpy, but we were having such a good time that it didn't bother us at all, if anything it added to the experience. Not sure if it was an isolated episode or if all waiters are like that.
Ire: I do not know why this place seems like a very top rated tourist destination. The drink and music are good. We were at the window seats yet there is not much to see as it was facing to the zoo. If it was facing to skyscrapers, the view would be so much better. This is the reason I don’t why people are crazy about this place, like there is NO view lol. It was during covid so we waited for like an hour? The seats are also very close each other. Anyway, drinks are good. That is it. No need to wait an hour to come I think.
Nila Homar: I went to this place on a weekday. We didn’t have to wait for a long time like on a weekend. Still, the place was so crowded.They have good cocktails and an amazing city view from the top.But I don’t think the place matches the hype.
Shinji: Very crowded with loud music. A place to enjoy the vibe, not to talk. Staffs were nice, the drinks were okay. If you sit outside, there‘re people always coming to take pics of the skyline and block your view. Would be better visiting during the daytime - relaxed with good views. (Plus most of the positive reviews are from the people who visited at afternoon.)
Dexter P: Perfect view over the park. The drinks are also delicious and worth the premium price. The side dishes from Neni are also perfect combination. Especially the Korean chicken. Unfortunate to read all complaints about the waiting time. They are open from 13h so you do not need to stay in line. Just do not come at peak times at night.
jamie 1983: Fantastic cocktails, great atmosphere and spectacular view over the zoo and city. Cocktails slightly on the pricey side at around 14 euros each but they were lovely and well made. Absolutely would return here.

Rutger: Visiting a gay bar during corona time is quite interesting, especially in Berlin. Went to this bar with my partner, and it was quite packed. There was no social distancing whatsoever, although the bartender did wear a face covering from time to time. I gave three stars because one of the bartenders has a bit of character and can use some welcoming service. However, we did observe him showing lots of friendliness and warmth towards regulars.

Shane McGoldrick: Fantastic place from start to finish. Some lovely fellow Irish people in the bar and kitchen that bring it to life. Marcus and Rob really go above and beyond in what they do. The Aussie manager Yankoh is also great at recommendations. Seamus is a bit forward and tried it on with my gf. All is fine now though. 5/5 stars :)

Brian Alcock: What an amazing restaurant/pub situated in the heart of Berlin. Very reasonable prices for great food and drinks. Wonderful friendly and happy staff - nothing was a problem. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit especially as we were able to watch our favourite rugby team - the Springboks. Great venue for watching live sport with several big screen TV's - a must visit in Berlin!

Roy Dutton: Convenient location very close to the train station with a direct link to the airport. Excellent reception staff, polite, helpful and friendly. Rooms are quite big and are very clean. Would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities. Highly recommended.

sandman31 D: Lovely bar, great atmosphere but sadly unable to cater for fans of other teams. We asked politely if they could put a match on a different TV but wouldn't.* I appreciate your response and I would accept your explanation however there was 6 TVs playing the arsenal vs spurs game and 2 in the other room had f1....we had requested before any other customer to change onto another match as there was screens playing different channels. The staff then came in an put on the same match as on all the other screens. It's not really a sports bar if your unable to display more than one football match at a time.

Morten Skrubbeltrang: Had a few cocktails here at the end of a long day. Setting is really nice and drinks were good quality. Service was friendly and being placed at the far side of Friedrichshein it's not overly crowded like some of the more central places.
Christy Casamayor: Super cozy, lovely staff and my personal highlight: Cider from the tap. Wednesday night is quiz night and it's lots of fun.

Tiffany Tavarez: Good beer selection and they have a fun comedy show on Tuesday evenings (in English). It's free (with option to give donation - no pressure). Most of the comedians - especially the host - were great and more importantly, awesome opportunity to meet locals - residents, visitors and transplants! The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the bartender is as rude as he could possibly be but don't let miserable misfits ruin your good night!!
