Sunshine Vegan Berlin: what do users think?

Marijn Driesen: Love Thai food, but it is hard to get really good and flavorful Thai food outside of Thailand. Sunshine Vegan Restaurant changed that! All vegan Asian restaurant and so tasty. Went back 2 days in a row.

Shankey Sinha: It’s a nice vegan place with varieties of options to order. The main dishes have large portions and the small dishes are too good. Only cash payment accepted. Staffs are friendly and nice. Service is fast and timely.

Lovis: This restaurant has a gorgeous vegan menu (with pictures - you know exactly what to expect). The staff is really attentive to your comfort and keeps the place really clean. Prices are fair. Portions are perfect. The taste of the food is divine. For most dishes you can choose between seitan-duck, vegan prawns, seitan-chicken and tofu - which is really good especially if you can't eat seitan. I highly recommend this beautiful little restaurant. My highlight was the chili-lemongrass sauce. I can't wait for my next visit.

Dominika Korol: A very nice vegan place in a central location. The menu is not too long which is great. Fresh and nicely served food, it was delicious. The vegan duck is a recommended choice! Staff was nice and I really liked the interior design. Very fair pricesFood: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Pavel Macek: As an occasional meat-eater, vegan is almost never my 1st or even 2nd choice - in simple way I can cook veggies at home, meat not. However, thanks to a visiting friend I discovered truly amazing place that surprised me with how good can the fake chicken be! The one star down is for the cash only policy which I understand from the perspective of the fees. However, I'd rather had the chance to pay 2 euros more for my meal than have to withdraw for 5... Vegetarian options: As its a vegan restaurant, it doesn't need much explanation...

DAR F: Nice place The back area of the restaurant is a little bit casrophobic, especially in the corona times. It took very long for the food to arrive to our table but they gave us spring rolls on the house so we won't die of hunger. The food was great!

Enisha Eshwar: Food is super tasty and fresh. We had udon noodles with crispy chicken - the salad and vegetables were so nice to eat. Service is great too. Portion sizes are huge for the main plate. I could barely eat half.

Jennifer Winter: Best vegan restaurant that I have been in Berlin. Today we had the fish balls soup and rice noodle mix with vegan duck. Can definitely recommend any dish with the vegan duck, it's the bomb! 👏👏👏

zipo13: Great restaurant. Lots of Asian dishes. Most of the have sietan or tufo included. The saiten duck is highly revomnded. Drinks were also great and made on the spot.

Julia Stefaniak: Really good food and friendly stuff. Big choice of dishes and affordable prices. I can definitely recommend this place.

Montse Pf: Everything was perfect. The staff is super friendly and polite. The food super tasty. We got two different options, which basically were the same soup but one with rice and the other one with udon. The soup was really good. Subtly spicy. A good amount of food for the price. They are also really fast to serve. Well located within the city center

Romain Torres: I ordered dumplings (Dim Sum) 🥟 that I loved, they were delicious; and I also ordered Summer Rolls that I liked a bit less, felt like they were not soft enough. 🥢 For the drink I had a Red Sensation that was really really good and also I feel like it was a huge drink compared to other restaurants, which was great. 🍹 For the desert I had a Chuoi Hap that was also delicious, I just wish I had more, could not get enough of that hot banana with coconut milk. 🍌 The place was really cool with nice interior design, some plants and a cosy vibe overall.

Eline Hulspas: Great food! Great prices! Loved it! The staff was very welcoming and friendly and the interior looks beautiful. I enjoyed my lunch here would definitely recommend.

Jeff Howard: Great Vietnamese vegan food in a very convenient location. We enjoyed the tofu/kimchi/rice bowl but the Pho was the star - it was outstanding. The broth was so rich and delicious. We might go back one more time before we leave Berlin because of the location and because there are other things we want to try on the menu! NOTE: CASH ONLY.

Dan Dewey: Excellent food at a great price. Me meat eating friends loved it too. Great flavor in everything. Fresh veggies. I like their stone bowl dishes too.

Paul McGuire: Excellent quality and inexpensive. Though I've had many excellent Vietnamese and other Asian style vegan spots in San Diego, this is up there with the best. The flavors in the steamed udon dish were exceptional and lots of vegetables. Make sure you bring cash as they do not accept cards.

Ecaterina Litvinova: Food is good, but the place has very bad ventilation. After visiting my clothes smelled enormously, almost like I spent all day cooking in that place. So if the smell is important to you as to me, better order delivery or a take out

Cris Charneca: Just when I thiught I foind the best vietnamese restaurant in Berlin at lunch, I found this at dinner... Excellent taste and ingredients, doses are enough to satisfy. Space is not that comfortable and a little small but people are nice. Cash payment only. Fully vegetarian.

Tristan Witzigmann: Likely one of Berlin’s best Vietnamese-Vegan spots in Mitte! There isn’t a single item on the menu that doesn’t sound delicious. Highly recommend trying the soy Vietnamese iced coffee!

hannelore heynen: Very delicious fantastic vegan food! Good portions! Very friendly staff and clean place! Very cozy to sit. We loved it!!!!

Galit G: This is by far the BEST vegan restaurant I've been to in Berlin. It was my second time here with my husband and we even brought our vegetarian and meat-eater friends and they loved it. We enjoyed the 6 and 5 course menu and were so full by the end of it. Every dish has its own unique flavour and the alcohol menu attached to the dishes is amazing as well. Both of our experiences were great, in terms of food and amazing service. Will definitely come back!

Oscar Maarsh: Great for a special occasion. We had the 7 course taster menu with the drinks pairing. All very tasty all vegan dishes with some complementary extras thrown in. They offer a very flexible menu system whereby you can choose how many courses you want, which courses you want and which courses to pair with drinks. Service was excellent, our waiters were lovely. We sat outside and it was a nice quiet street corner, perfect for a relaxed and romantic evening.

Anton “TheRojam” Müller: The stuff is awesome, nice, friendly and funny. You could be spontaneous, if needed. They explain every dish and the corresponding drinks. Nearly the whole team is involved bringing you the ordered courses. You can chooses between 3 to 7 courses. Starter, Soup, main course, predessert, dessert and a finishing course. Suitable alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks are served on demand. Sometimes you’ll also get an eatable greeting from the kitchen stuff. The courses are changing from season and depend on regional availability. Even the food is not cheap, it’s worth every cent or penny and decent delicious.

K C: Fantastic dinner and wonderful staff. Excellent meal, tasty and good service. We went for the 7 courses (with wine pairing). It’s a bit pricy but worth it!

Tom Ruys: What an amazing way to spend an evening! We got there without a reservation and spent a great time at the bar with some delicious cocktails and a fun and skilled bartender. The food was next level and all vegan! The staff was truly great and the vibe was very relaxing!

Sahar Ben Shushan: It was a nice experience to be there, I am not vegan. And I usually do not go to Chef restaurant. But it was great though. As any other Chef restaurant, the dishes are tiny and overpriced.

Samantha: Excellent place to bring non-vegans to make them believe in the flavor magic of a plant based diet. The menu was delicious and presented so beautifully. The service was top notch - extremely attentive to our needs and perfectionistic about the presentation of our food and drinks. Loved that they had alcoholic and non-alcohol drink pairings. Atmosphere felt fancy but not stuffy. Definitely coming back again, what a treat this evening was.

Hereward Burgers: Eine total Erlebnis / a true experience! Service and hospitality very nice. Menu super, take the 7 course menu if you are hungry. The almond based ‘blue cheese’ is incredible. Every course is a surprise and a homage to vegan haute cuisine. Wines and cocktails top. Higher price range but you will not be disappointed.

Midzung Kieu: Absolutely overrated. I honestly can’t explain the thousand good reviews— either people have too much money or are completely clueless and just following the masses, or the reviews are fake. Unless you have a few hundred bucks extra and are curious, go for it. We were so hungry afterwards we went straight for the pizza place nearby. No matter how good or quality your food could be, you don’t have to be so stingy with the portion. Every dish feels like a tiny spoon. Even the amuse bouche is the tiniest dumpling in the world. And it didn’t even taste particularly good, like a simpel dry dough really. We found some dishes quite salty, and the first course tastes just like a vegetable stock. I felt so frustrated I have to write this long review. The drinks are also not that good, very watery, don’t justify the price either. Such a waste of money really.

Maria Zachariassen: This was my absolute favourite place in Berlin. Even if you’re not a vegan or vegetarian like my boyfriend, you’ll still love the food as they have such good flavours in all the dishes. This is the only fancy vegan restaurants I’ve been to as there’s not many out there, and it did not disappoint!

1990 Vegan Living: what do users think?

Georgia Gleason: Solid gluten free options and clearly marked allergen guide. Flavorful small plates great for tasting a bunch of different things. #9, 13 were stand outs. We were 2 people and ordered 6 small bowls and felt perfectly full. Good, fast service, fun busy atmosphere and CASH only.

Romain Torres: I think it's a bit overrated, there's no reason this restaurant is way more hype than the others in the area that offer the same thing. There's always a line at the entrance with at least a 20-minutes queue, hopefully there is a lot of space and tables inside. ⌛ We ordered a few tapas/starters for 2 people and were disappointed to see that there wasn't too much to eat, the bottom of the bowls were filled with salad to make it seem like it was full. For example the guacamole only had like 2 chips, how are you supposed to eat the rest of the guacamole? 🥑 The dumplings came in 3 which isn't a lot either. Overall it was really good but disappointing on the quantities especially for the price. Not sure I recommend this restaurant compared to others that are really close to it.

Parnal Patni: Definitely a great place for vegans and vegetarians. Great variety of food and tastes good too. Prices are also really reasonable. You can ask for recommendations if you don't know what to order. The servers are really helpful.

Mahdieh Abdollahi: The portions are well sized for a fair price. Food quality is also outstanding. Very innovative menu with excellent side dishes. On busy times the restaurant is obviously very crowded thous the waiting times can be increased.

Mariam Geldiashvili: The food is great. The taste is very fresh and special. We ordered different small bowls to try out many things and we loved it.

Vedraj r.m: It’s ok The portion size for the small bowl is ridiculously small So I’d suggest you get the big one Only visit if you’re hungry enough Cos the portion of the big bowl is very good. So there’s small and very big, nothing in between. The prices are ok. The small bowl is a bit expensive but I guess for the big one it’s reasonable

ven T: Yummy vegan food with authentic distinct flavours and spices in every dish and unique ideas for vegan interpretations of various Asian dishes. Strongly recommended. Packed at weekend evenings better to reserve a table. Vegetarian options: Vast!

Raquel Álvarez: The best vegan Vietnamese food I’ve ever eaten! We visited this charming place twice on our vacation to Berlin. The food is super colorful and flavorful. The staff is really charming and can help you with the amount of food you may order. If you get there and there are no empty tables, just wait a couple of minutes Toby seated. We tried a variety of dishes and will be back for more on our next visit to berlin.

Brandon Guzman: There are an abundance of vegan options in Berlin, but if you’re looking for Asian cuisine, this spot has great music, staff and amazing food. Food enthusiasts and picky eaters can eat here… no barriers whatsoever due to so many options. 5⭐️🥇

Sandeep Gupta (sandyish): Great place with wide variety in vegan food. Every Dish I ordered was nailed in the flavor. The service is also commendable been completely full. Highly recommended!! Vegetarian options: Vegan Wheelchair accessibility: Yes

July Summer: Very cosy Vietnamese restaurant near Alexanderplatz. It was quite crowded, seems that people love this place. We we’re served very fast. The dishes were delicious. We enjoyed our dinner. It is cash only, and it’s 2G+ corona rules in the moment we visited :)

ven T: Tasty vegetarian Vietnamese food with great menu / sharing and of course vegan hotpot options! We ordered an hotpot for 2 which was a nice experience. Everything was really fresh and their ice teas were spectacular as well. Great location in Mitte near Volks theatre and some old school cinemas. Vegetarian options: Plenty!

Trixi: Amazing restaurant! The food was amazing and reasonably priced. The homemade iced teas were very refreshing. The staff was also very friendly and the restaurant was cosy and well decorated. Would definitely recommend! On the photos: tofu noodle soup, mushroom stuffed tofu with vegetables and rice in curry, crispy green tofu and spring rolls as starters.

Henning Dahlén: We shared the rice based menu. We both absolutely loved it. For the price it was an absolute slam-dunk. The staff was great. I just wish I would have picked the pineapple/mint/coconut drink that my wife got since it was super refreshing in the summer heat. The mango drink was good but it would have been better in a day with milder weather. Vegetarian options: All vegan
Response: Thank you ✌🏽♥️

Aishwarya Murali: The food was good but the issue was with the restaurant itself. There were too many tables in such a small space and it was packed with people on a Wednesday evening. No social distancing could be followed in such a tiny space. So I would reduce my rating from 4 stars to 3.

Sadaf Kamdideh: Amazing vegan food! They have a variety of dishes and everything is served in a cute metalic pot which keeps the food warm. The service was very slow and inefficient. I had to wait so long and they mixed the order as well but because the food was very delicious I give 4 stars instead of 3

Sunita Shah: This hit the spot! Super delicious and flavorful, the rice platter was the perfect way to taste multiple dishes. We finished every last bite. The substantial mocktail list was a lovely surprise. We were lucky to get one of the last available tables - definitely book ahead or go early!

Majid Mahmood: Super nice staff. The menu is 100% vegetarian. Tasted good and the ambience of the place was calm as well.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Response: Thank you ♥️

Raquel Álvarez: Super nice Vietnamese vegan restaurant near Alexanderplatz. Someone recommended this place to us and we are super grateful they did! The food was awesome, rich in flavor and colors. We could have order the daily specials but instead we asked for some eye catching dishes on the menu. If you are looking to save some money in your vacation or daily life, the daily specials looked amazing when other people order it haha The staff will help you with any doubts about your food in the kindest way. Keep in mind they only accept cash.

S G: Food is good! Location is fine and restaurant decorative. Reason for 3 stars; service very pushing. Really didn't like it that they were directly asking for a tip. You hand them money, say 50 euro over 37 bill. Then it is asked, how much tip you want to give. How about giving the money back, and say that a tip is appreciated. We are not in America 🙄 ?! I didn't give any, the prices are high, service not that great, and you can only pay cash which is super inconvenient. (It's 2022, WHY would you not have a pin machine other than shady reasons?). We had to search for an ATM. Overal wouldn't go again because of this reason. Vegetarian options: Everything is vegetarian.
Response: Dear S G, we would like to apologize for the offensive and somewhat too direct manner of our employees. Maybe it's because of the ubiquitous inflation, or because of the corona crisis, which has hit the gastronomy hard in the past 2 years. Young people in particular, often students, have lost their jobs or have not been able to get a decent salary increase due to the circumstances. For most employees in this industry, tipping is essential. Since most tourists don't know that tipping is not included in Germany, some of our employees have chosen to ask politely. Apparently there is a certain risk inherent in the whole thing, because asking this question can upset some of our guests and you will, more or less, be publicly denounced here. we leave it to our employees themselves whether they ask or not, but we will sensitize them to think twice in future … Kind regards, Soy Berlin

Mariana Pereira: This is place was a wonderful surprise! The food is completely delicious, amazing, tasteful! I have one thousand words to describe it and also none, because you really should go and try it! The barbecue fries are DELICIOUS, succulents, and the texture of the Crispy Chicken Piña burger is out of this world - makes you wonder if it's really vegan. I recommend 100%, just be sure to make a reservation beforehand. 😉💚
Response: Thank you so much for your words

Suada B.: Went here for some vegan and American style food and was a really nice discovery, the food is good and the place simple. The service was great! Recommend it!!
Response: Thank you

Felix Winandy: We ordered at this place, I have to say I‘m always sceptical when it comes to ordering fries especially with a lot of sauce on top! (because most of the places you order, the fries are slouchy and cold when they arrive at your place) But we thought, give those guys a chance, their food looks awesome online! So we got amazed by these really tasty fries, nice and hot when they arrived, still crunchy and with the fake parma chicken, so delicious 👌 the meatball sub was also perfect, good bread which can hold the meatballs without falling appart while you eat it! It was a first for us but definetly not the last time to order or go to Maria!
Response: Thank you 😊

camille granier: Maria is amazing. It's got all the vegan goodness you've been dreaming about. The ribs and parma chicken are absolutely crazy. The staff is always super friendly and the music super cool two, very good vibes !
Response: Thank you for your kind words

Rust Man: Wunderbar! Tasty vegan burger, fries and Philly cheese steak. What at great place.

Iwona: Portions were quite big and overall tasty. However, my “mac & cheese” dish was cold…I ordered it inside the restaurant for take away so there was no reason for this situation. I’d also prefer not to have the balsamic onion with different dishes but that’s just my personal preference.

Laura van Galen: The vibes? Immaculate. It's artsy, it's friendly, it's welcoming. The food? Just okay. The cheese sauce is great but the patties are a little dry. They also don't give side dishes with the burgers. No salad, no fries, no bread. Nothing!

Luisa: Very nice atmosphere and sweet staff. The food was very delicious (I had The Italian burger and fries) for a reasonable price considering everything is vegan. I’ll definitely go ago.

Alexey Chernikov: Very good mac and cheese. Absolutely killer cheeseburger. It‘s amazing how their managed to make the cheese so tasty and yet still vegan.
Response: Thank you very much

Aqualibreo: You can see that they put a lot of heart into their food but I wasn't the biggest fan of the taste of the food. The "chicken" in the burger was also mighty dry. It was quite expensive also. However the service was really really good. Props to the staff! Their cauliflower sub is satisfactory though.

SOYA Vietnamese VEGAN Kitchen: what do users think?

Lina Jerina Ljubojević: Loved the food. The server was a bit rude but i would still recommend it (the vegan duck with PB souce is amazing)

Martin Kubler: An easy 5 stars for Soya, because the food's super tasty, the service is fast and friendly, and the value for money is outstanding. The menu's extensive and, with the exception of the Vietnamese Coffee, all vegan.

Hosam Emira: It’s a nice place. The food was excellent given that it’s vegan. I am not a vegan, but I think this place can be like heaven on earth for vegans. I had the Vegan duck dish with peanuts sauce (sauce was amazing). My wife had The curry love dish. We both ended up eating the vegan duck. It was way better. I also like the decorations inside.

Jowita Radzińska: Very good place for vegan dinner. I highly recommend the vegan duck in peanut sauce. It was very crispy and soft inside. Interesting experience, but be careful - fearfully similar to meat😉

Ana Marín Tabuenca: We are amazed by the food in this restaurant! The waiter was very friendly and helped me find the gluten free options. We strongly recommend the koko lassis and the spring rolls. Yummy!

simon wyzgala: The food is very tasty and the staff is very nice. The starter was very small and the prices are a bit high (10€ for a main dish). The dug has a weird aftertaste.

Nathan Vanriette: No music, no light, very cold inside, we stood in front of closed doors when we arrived. We got things we didn’t order and they insisted we still payed for it even though we hadn’t consumed it. When we tried to reason with them, they were very rude and not understanding. The dishes we did get right were cold and seemed like they just been defrosted. Overall very bad experience.

bas reeders: Very average food, poor service. Was lookking forward to eating here but really disappointed tbh.

Tove Berleen: I had one of the best noodle salads I've ever. Really tasty with fresh fruit and herbs, and the seitan was delicious. Large portion as well. The warm dish was less impressive but ok.

Boris Johnson: Food is very tasty and friendly staff! Seems a little expensive. But definitely worth a visit.

Alex Ainsworth: Nice restaurant serving asian dishes. Service was very quick, and nothing was too expensive. Food was good, but not mind blowing.

Aina valentí: Amazing food, great service, great recommendations, cosy place and perfect quality-price relationship! I will come back!!

Pradeep Baradur: Food was very tasty and service was great too. Must try.

Arjan Goemans: The food was ok. But there are definitely better vegan Asian restaurants in p-berg. The service was also below standard. Had to ask twice for our second drinks and in the end we just skipped them because we already ate our food. So don't get why they have such good ratings.

Muhammad Zubairullah: Loves it, the taste is amazing, atmosphere is calm and relaxed. Can even consider this place for a date. The staff is ok, I will not say they are good but not that bad as well. Prices are reasonably charges. Cash and card option available (card option for only €10 and above). The seating is not much spacious but once you are adjusted it will be fine. High high chair as well for children. And it's 100% vegan. I would highly recommend to try their dishes which are swerved with rice.

Pablo Siebert Tomicic: I had one of the 2 menus from the day, it cost 6.9 euro includes the main dish and a springroll or a watermelon shake. The restaurant and furniture was really comfortable. The waiter was ok, not the best. They speak English The food was good, very tasty but I was expecting a bit bigger portion .

Swier Copinga: The food was great. The starter and the main course were both fantastic. Great vegan restaurant. I will be back for sure.

Karla Philo: We went twice in two consecutive days. The first time we just had drinks. The Golden Time (mango, coconut, soy milk shake) for me and Vietnamese coffee for my partner. The shake (which is like a mango lassi) was pure pure heaven. I would go back 100 times just to order it to go. I really wanted to try the food, but I was not hungry enough. I was so excited we promptly returned the following day for lunch. I had a combination dish with the dumplings, soup, rice and curry with veggies and tofu. The presentation was really nice. My partner had the slightly sour rice noodle pho. The food was just not good enough, unfortunately. The rice on top was overcooked and the one in the bottom was hard. How is this possible? The dumplings were doughy and flavorless. The soups were meh. The curry was slightly better. And even though the server was nice enough, she spent most of her time behind the counter chatting with her coworker and doing something on her phone. My partner had to get up twice (and the place was nearly empty) to ask her to take our order and then to request the bill. I'm just going back for the mango heaven, to go. I am not sure why so many bad or mediocre vegan places (especially the Asian food ones) in Berlin are rated so highly and by a good amount of people. I am puzzled.

Amanda Amanda: I have no complaints about the food here! It was a nice spot to grab a vegan meal. The city is full of vegan restaurants, but this one offers a wide variety of Asian dishes. There were some more unique menu items that were delicious and a great change of pace! The cocktails were just okay, but the food made up for it. Would definitely go back again and again.

Bruno Colajanni: Modest place but great service. Many options on the menu, not just the boring veggies and tofu! Tasty soups, elaborated dishes and great cold ice tea!

Lia’s Kitchen: what do users think?

Oliver Römisch: We had 2 Burgers and sweet potato fries. Burgers and fries were delicious and juicy. Unfortunately, Buns and Patty were just warm, thus after some minutes of chewing the first bit, the rest became cold. Fries were served hot though. The "belly-space" at the tables is limited, so if you have not trained for a triathlon for the last year, it can become a little claustrophobic taking a seat.... Heating is not available so prepare for a cold meal when it's also cold outside (we had a 1° C that day)

Jana F: Loved the different patty options. My chili bean burger was tasty and the sweet potato fries were very crispy! It takes a bit to get the burger, but it's worth the wait. Will come back!
Response: Thanks a lot Jana❤️

Joana Silva: The burguers are absolutely delicious and everything is homemade. I appreciate that it’s not your typical beyond burger, but homemade patties with legumes. The sweet potato fries are also wonderful and the staff is incredibly nice and kind. I can only recommend!

Hanna: Great vegan burgers, I tested mushroom and lentil pattie and it was full of umami! Also very crispy fries! Bbq mayo was very smoky and delicious as well!

YN W: I don't understand the good reviews for this place at all. As someone who has visited a lot of vegan restaurants, this was one of the most disappointing food experiences for me. We tried different burgers and they were both tasting weird and the patties were very dry, the burgers were also quite small. The fries were the worst I've had anywhere by far: tiny, way overcooked and tasteless, it felt better to just leave them. I wouldn't recommend this place

Juliana Jaen: Excellent real vegan burger. And the fries are amazing!

lilach daniel: We waited 30+ min for our food. They are more focused on Wolt deliveries than they’re with the costumers that are inside. Food was oily but tasted good, fries were crispy. The beepers they gave don’t even work! There’s no bathroom, no place to sit comfortably and no fresh air, as the restaurant smells from oil To be honest wouldn’t recommend to sit inside maybe it’s better when doing take away

Dirk Jan van Lonkhuyzen: Really good. Delicious burger and great fries.

Sandra N: Abysmal experience. Ordered the Oyster–Shitake burger. Patty was ice cold and sauce just slathered on a lettuce leaf with a huge chunk of tomato. Definitely gave the impression of absolutely no care from the kitchen. Cutlery was dirty. Overall one of the poorest of culinary vegan experiences in Berlin; save your dimes and go to the many other impressive vegan eateries in Berlin which show more care.

Sebastian Grünberg: Good vegan burgers and plenty of well tasting French fries, but be prepared to wait some time!!!! It was not especially crowded but we had to wait for our food roughly 40 minutes (!). However, it was worth the waiting and due to the extra long Time we got a nice dessert for free. Would come back, but if you are in a hurry, maybe not the place for (fast) vegan food.
Response: Hey Sebastian! Thanks for the review and the kind words. Happy you loved the food. Sorry you had to wait for a while. Sometimes, even if the restaurant doesn't look super busy, it's actually post-peak time, and the team must recover from a large peak. Waiting times are usually much shorter than what you describe. Hope to see you again soon!

DAR F: We came to this restaurant because we were in the area and we looked for a vegan restaurant. We set and asked, just to be sure, if everything is vegan. "Alles vegane" (=everything is vegan in german). But then we saw on the menu that you can add eggs (real ones!) to certain dishes! It's super disappointing and super unfair. The food was OK. A bit bland though

ebby_e: Looking at the ratings I was expecting something more special. I had the curry udon, which was fine but it had an overwhelming coconut milk taste and the udon was slightly overcooked. The service was very fast. The atmosphere is cozy.Food: 4/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

J RG: Amazing vegan food! Very impressed with the vegan duck... never tasted anything like it: crispy skin with sesame seeds.

Shlomit Kedmi: We had such a great experience :))The food was delicious, and the staff was really lovely - we have a peanut allergy, and they we’re extremely sensitive and helpful.

Sonila Sulejmani: The food was delicious and it made you full without getting you bloated. Loved it. The service was great, the woman who served us was really nice and pleasant. The atmosphere is really quiet and calma minute and the next, you have all this chatter and lovely people around.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Hannes Kofler: Better than I expected, fresh, tasty, absolutely worth dining there.

Abhiram Jogadenu: The food was really good, and the service was pretty fast. Some items were labelled spicy, but they were not as spicy as I expected. Still, had a great experience though.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Teddy B: We ate lunch here and it was amazing! Super lovely staff and the food was incredible! As a vegetarian/vegan this is an absolutely wonderful place to visit!

Vegan Life: 15 days in Berlin, we came here 4 times. We have great Vegan Asian food ( even Michelin stars restaurant) in San Francisco and this place totally reminded us of home. Beautiful presentation, very flavorful, creative yet familiar with great usage of herbs and spices, really big portions and reasonable priced. We tried many other Vegan Asian restaurants in Berlin, and this restaurant is certainly our top pick! A big plus is the chef is very friendly, always smiling and at times serving dishes to us too. The waitresses are all nice and friendly. The restaurant decor is of typical Asian restaurant, perhaps a little outdated. But that should not be a “negative” factor if great food is what you are looking for. We enjoyed outdoor dining, very quiet even when its location right in the middle of everything.

Paul Biester: Disappointing. I ordered a red curry and a glass noodle salad and both were very bland, not authentic at all. Also I'm pretty sure that some of the vegetables are not fresh but frozen, the texture of the carrots in particular was quite bad.

GaYaYa Mitte in Mitte: what do users think?

Dasha R: The food was very good and tasty, the staff is very nice. The dishes look amazing and taste delicious. Good, big portions. The only thing is that for us the service was very slow, we waited at least 30 min for the main meals to come, but it was not a problem since we were not in a rush. They only accept cash.
Response: Thank you so much for your kind words, dear Dasha. This is good food to our hearts 🥗🤩. We do prepare everything fresh in our kitchen, so sometimes it might take a while. We will take care and try to to tell you in advance next time!

Aaron Miller: Lovely food, atmosphere, and staff. I had Pad Thai. Delicious, with just a little bit of spice. It was the first Pad Thai dish that had vegetables and fruit. The perfect taste and portion. The restaurant is small, but intimate. They also have a few tables outside. With music playing in the background and decorative artwork, I felt as if I was on a retreat. I can’t remember the last time I had such a relaxing lunch. The staff were a delight and I only wish them continued success.
Response: 🥗🍹 Thank you so much, dear Aaron! Good to hear you liked our little oasis please feel welcome anytime soon!

Serena Young: This small place was exquisitely magical. Each dish was an art piece and the menu even had an option of ‘whatever the chef wanted’. I always love a place that gives the chef more creative freedom. The decoration felt like I was bathing in a Thai spa. I ordered something like that and the salad that was served blew me away. There was passion fruit, apricot, sweet, mint, and sour all plated a wonderful cold. Their twist on the pad thai (I believe) was full of different kinds of beans and kernels, vibrant but a bit too chaotic. The curry wasn’t spicy but a nice creamy hug. And the dessert was a sorbet with fresh fruit, each one placed like it had its own throne. Also complimentary crisp and sweet slices of watermelon were served.
Response: Oh wow, Serena thank you so much for putting into words how you liked, what we served you! Magical how you exactly described the love we include in every dish, trying to make sure each taste finds its stage! 🥦🥑 🍉 🥥

Henning Dahlén: Lovely atmosphere, with a very relaxing setting. Had a 3 course dinner and a mango lassi. It was very good but not spectacular. We both enjoyed it and would consider coming back when we're in Berlin again. Vegetarian options: All vegan
Response: 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 So lovely to hear you enjoyed, dear Henning Dahlen! You are welcome anytime!

Rebecca ter Borg: Great place of infusion Asian food. The sushi and rice balls were delicious. The pad Thai was great, the rice noodles were a bit stuck together.
Response: Dear Rebecca, Thank you for your friendly and honest review! ! Best regards from the house of Ga Ya Ya.

Kelvin Chin: The restaurant has a great ambience with the beautiful interior. The food presentation was beautiful too. Service was good. The food, however, was blend. We had the laksa and Pad Thai. Both fell short in flavors. Coming from SE Asia, the taste was far from anywhere what I was expecting. This place is clearly catering to the largely vegan Caucasians’ tastebud. There are better Asian vegan places. Go to a good Thai restaurant and order a meatless Pad Thai.
Response: Hi Kevin, thank you so much for taking the time for letting us know in detail, what you liked and what you missed! Highly appreciated! 😻🥗😻

Tássia Latorraca: Just didn’t give 5 stars because of a considerable delay serving the main meal. Even tho, food was delicious, staff is lovely and good environment. I would definitely recommend the Würzige Laksasuppe! PS: very clean and fragrant toilet

Laura-Sophia von Hirschhausen: One of the top three restaurants I ever went to! Never seen such a personal, and excellent concept restaurant with high-quality dishes. If you are in town and have a free evening, go there: it’s absolutely worth it! ♥️ Just a little Appetizer for the eye right here…
Response: Dear Laura , Thank you! We are so happy to hear your feedback ...

José 183: The atmosphere is nice and calm. The staff is friendly and attentive.Although the food was good, we missed more vegetables in the soup and noodles. Unfortunatelly no card payment available.
Response: Thank you, dear Josh! Next time you stop by we hope to have plenty of veggies in your soup! 🌽🥕🥔🍆🥑 🥒🍎!

Apostolos Potaris: Sweet little place, very centrally located. People working there were very kind, and helpful, and even though not very fluent in English, we still managed to communicate easily. I Ordered a pad Thai, it came fast, was super tasty, flavorful and colorful - exactly how a vegan pad Thai should look like!
Response: 🤩🤩🤩 Thank you so much, dear Apostolos!

Angela M.H: Adequately but boring food kitchen which base on the Thai savory. prices are a little bit lower than others. Old furnishings but nice terrace dining area.

Kaushik Rajagopalan: We loved this place. It has lots of vegan and vegetarian options and the food is very tasty. The staff is very courteous and nice and make extra efforts to help clients. If you are in Berlin near the Brandenburg gate, you should give this place a try.

Eric Winslow: Very underwhelming. The staff was not very welcoming. As we stepped in we had to ask if they were open since they weren’t paying attention to us. Tom yum soup was good, but the main dishes were nothing special. Again, the staff never came around to check on us to ask if we needed anything. We had to seek them out to place our order and get the check. Bathrooms were dirty, too. Decor is non-existing. We will not return.

chiling: chanced upon this vegetarian SEAsian restaurant, and i am super happy about it!!! it truly had a homely taste that is authentic and delicious! price is very reasonable for the huge portion given! I’d like to highlight the quality of the vegetarian meat served: it is top notch, and based on my experience being a vegetarian of over two decades, it must’ve cost them much more to invest in these expensive delicious vegetarian meat instead of the usual ones we can find in super marts! Plenty of vegetables were also served, and it’s really very fresh!! kudos to them for their commitment to serve top quality ingredients 😋

Gleeko Magpoc: Food was good. As always, Vietnamese/ Thai food is delicious. Further, the staff who attended to us was really friendly and hospitable. The place does not have so many customers even on a Sat and they have a huge place with lots of chairs and tables. It is close to Brandenburger Tor.

Ario Yuniawan Prariyadi: All menus are vegetarian and vegan. The foods are so tasty and delicious, even for non-vegan like me. Nevertheless the price is quite expensive but you get the quality. The staffs are friendly. Really recommended.

Radu Cantor: This is the first good restaurant with vegetarian options we found in close proximity to Brandenburger Tor. They serve vegetarian and vegan Asian food (I think it's mostly Thai food). The food was nevertheless very good and tasty and the service was great. However the overall impression was that it is a little overpriced.

Zach Hemmings: Tempeh dish served without the tempeh. Wouldn’t change it and still expected me to pay for it. Other dishes very average. I would recommend to avoid.

J S: Terrible service and very rude. The restaurant is owned by a Chinese family and they have no manners nor any kind of proper customer service. We complained about the cleanliness and dirty around the all the windows near the tables. They didnt like it and started making faces at us. See the pictures. Food was ok, very expensive.

mithun suresh: Great to find vegan , vegetarian restaurant. Food was nice, great staff. Speaks both German and English. Neat and clean place easy to find near parliament.

Vaust - Braugaststätte Berlin: what do users think?

Jeff Howard: Vaust is a bit deep into West Berlin for most tourists, but you can easily plan a dinner there after a stop at Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church on the “far” side of the Tiergarten. It’s located on a pretty, quiet street where you can hear many birds singing while you eat outside. This was our “authentic German” vegan dinner plan and we are quite satisfied. The spaetzle was excellent and we enjoyed our starters as well. The chocolate cake for dessert was the perfect ending.

Aina Martínez Padilla: It was my first time in a vegan restaurant and It was satisfied. I like so much the plate I chose and the dessert too. I really enjoy my meal. I recommend it. If you are looking for a vegan restaurant you have to go there, it will achieve all your expectations.

Jeff Watkins: Very polite service, tasty vegan food and a focused menu. The chickpea "fries" with truffle vegan mayo were a highlight. Priced really well too, excellent value for money.

Olgitta Whatever: Not bad. The food was tasty and served in a very originally manner (like in a hâute-cusine manner), but some of it was salted too much. Craft beer was absolutely ordinary with no special aroma. Desserts (chocolate pie and 3 strawberries ice cream) were very tasty! And it took them almost an hour to bring us food.

Jenn S: Sat outside, which was nice. They had blankets if you got cold. The food was delicious and very much in the pub/bar food genre which is what I was looking for. Had the curry sausage as an appetizer and the special for the main course. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Perfect for my first meal in Berlin.

adir adler: At last, different vegan experience in Berlin. German kitchen with interesting flavours, slow service pace (which was actually a nice change), non sofisticated authentic German design. We loved everything and will definitely visit again.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Andre Farci: Excellent vegan restaurant in Savignyplatz neighborhood with great service & vegan meal options. Dinner was very tasty (including dessert and their own Vaust Pils) and the owner, Wolfgang, was very friendly to talk to before closing time. Will definitely go back.

Cassandra Fehr: HIGHLY recommended! This restaurant is cute, warm, cozy, friendly, and delicious! The waiter was so lovely. The food was declicious. Vegan! The dessert was also so good, and the prices were very reasonable! Great tasty non-alcoholic drinks (including non-alcoholic beer) & I highly recommend the appetizers! Wheelchair accessible! They speak english 😊

Elie Ifrah: This place is a must for vegan eaters. they have creative and delightful dishes and for the dessert, you absolutely have to take the dark chocolate cake, the ganache is so tasty. the manager who is also the waiter was so nice and patient. I definitely want to come back to taste the other delights.

Mauro Gabbiati: Although we are not vegan, we tried Vaust restaurant for a family dinner and it was a positive surprise. Tasty food, good choice of entries and quick service. To top it all, very good craft beer and home made soft drinks (Lemonades.) Recommended!

+84 Vietnamese Vegan Kitchen: what do users think?

Andrea Fiori: Beautiful food, super nice tastes from Vietnam and plenty of vegan options to pick from. Very nice staff and service is quick. I really liked my hot pot with eggplant and mushrooms plus tofu. Good no alcohol drinks too (or Tiger draft beer). Great for take away too as they are pretty quick.

milawka nurgalieva: The portions are big! And finally I met a good lemonade for decent price! In general it was tasty, but not the best Tofu that I tried. Even though it's named vegan, they also have menu with meat. They speak English and have menu in English! They accept card payment.

Maria Herrera: Delicious! They have normal meat and also vegan meat options. Really tasty and good ! Great prices! And friendly! you can pay here with card. I ordered rice noodles with beef and lemon grass was really delicious, my friend ordered crispy duck with peanut sauce and udon noodles and was also really good. The mango lassi was also just amazing delicious!

Gregor Kobe: I’m not vegan, but this place is awesome! We had vegan chicken skewers, vegan shrimp and spring rolls, all were great! Also loved the noodles and clay pot tofu aubergine dish! Definitely coming back!

Susana Woitzik: Amazing vegan Vietnamese food in a great, central location with reasonable prices. The place is really cosy and staff was very friendly. My favourite dish was the Udon noodles with tofu and vegetables, I loved the flavours and sticky sauce.

kit Koch: Very nice vegan menu, a lot of options. The vegan chicken sticks are really good, as well as the Mango Shake and the Wan Tan soup. The staff was friendly and the wait for the food short. I really liked it :)

Benjaluck Fai Yuttisee: This place could help motivate meat eaters to go vegan from time to time. Vegan "duck" and "chicken" were actually enjoyable. There are many dish options to pick from e.g. red curry, green curry, etc. To my taste it's a little too sweet though. They also have interesting drink options, especially healthy smoothies. Atmosphere was ok. It is vegan on the right side and non-vegan on the left. But you can sit anywhere and order from any side.

Matt Cooper-Kay: I've been enjoying Vietnamese food throughout Europe in the weeks since this meal, and still think back to how great this place was. The food was presented beautifully to start, and was bursting with different flavours and vegetables. The portions were good and at an incredibly fair price. Enjoyed the ambience of the place, and the waiter was incredibly friendly and open to chatting. Will definitely be back here when I'm in Berlin next.

Vic Tyler: I had the Tom Khs first and it was honestly, just extremely delicious, I loved it! Then I had some of the Hanoi Pho, was also good. I drank an aperitif spritz which was relatively cheap and tasted great aswell. The mango lassi that I had after was okay, I regretted ordering it, I should have gotten sth different. It just wasn’t as creamy, as if it lacked yogurt… The yaki udon were good but the noodles were probably store bought as they didn’t have that iconic udon chewyness… The red curry with duck was really good and I loved the Thai basil in it!

Harsh Yoga: The servers are welcoming and warm. They allow pets inside! Thats really nice. The presentation of dishes is really eye catching! The taste is just great! I am used to having grilled salted chicken in many resturants but here the grilled chicken is also flavoured well! Just amazing!

Zen House: what do users think?

Gottfried Kibelka: Wonderful! I am a vegetarian for more than 30 years and I am still happily surprised when I find a menu that is offering nothing but vegan options. Happy Rolls were fragrant, flavorful, crispy, chewy, and deeply satisfying in particular when dipped into the peanut sauce.Veggie Bällchen were crisp on the outside, mushy on the inside, and overall a bit under seasoned.Velicious Won-Ton soup is mildly seasoned with little added salt to let the vegetables shine. Zen Traditionell was a nice surprise. I never thought about adding green asparagus to miso soup. Again a soup that doesn't try to overwhelm your senses with umami but asks your taste buds to look a bit closer. Mien ngu sac is a satisfying noodle dish, deeply flavored and accentuated with seitan and mushrooms. All in all very nice flavors, good portions, and interesting creations. The downsides: Our table had old varnish that had become sticky. Other tables are probably used more frequently and the varnish had been wiped off (look for a light-colored table). I like spicy food but when I ordered "extra hot", I received a very mild dish and even the sambal oelek like hot sauce was rather sweet and mild. I would call this a bring-your-own-Sriracha place.

Eva Krause: Great vegan food. The Service was amazing, too. I had the 3 course vegan meal and at 16 euros I would say that it is moderately priced. I loved the starter with the peanut sauce. Would recommend this restaurant if you don't just want a quick snack.

Amado Music: The red curry with vegan chicken was amazing! My girlfriend had the soba noodles with bok choy and edamame. Also delicious. We had an avocado sushi roll (the sushi is not made with nori but with rice paper). Also super! And for drinks we loved the Japanese green tea, lemon grass tea and mango lassi. We can highly recommend Zen House and will revisit for sure!

rohan parekh: Great food. If you are fan of Japanese food and vegan follower, this place is just perfect. Zen soba bowl is my favorite dish here. I highly recommend to try to everyone. Lots of variety and taste of food is all natural

Rose Newell: Creative vegan sushi using black rice! Really enjoyed our lunch here. The non-sushi mains (Vietnamese) seemed very popular, too. So good to be able to get vegan sushi in Berlin. We'll definitely be back - even though we live the other end of the city.

Rashmi Bharadwaja: Delicious vegan food with a lot of options and very nice service. The restaurant also has nice ambience. Would love to go back! :)

Kamila W.: The sushi was almost tasteless. The won tons were too soggy and breaking apart. The best was my man’s noodle dish.

Leandro Bighetti: Superb! Asian style, has some premium modern vegan sushi which is hard to find, and it absolutely kicks ass. Rice dishes are also amazing particularly the yellow curry. And as a bonus some great beer :)

Charlie Plicha: Just a short walk from Charlottenberg Station. The lunch specials are from Monday to Friday 12 to 16. I ordered the fried noodles with tofu and seitan and it was quite tasty. It would have been nice it if it were a little saucier but an enjoyable meal none the less. Inside and outside seating, card payment available with a purchase of 13€, washrooms.

Oliver Kniep: Nice place, very friendly, the vegan sushi is second to none.
