Berlin Burlesque Academy: what do users think?

Amy Silberzahn: Completed the Secrets of Burlesque introduction course as well as Character creation. An exhilarating as well as liberating experience! It was incredibly empowering to learn to move and dance in a sensual and confident manner. Also very good exercise - definately more fun than going to the gym!
Response: Thank you very much for your feedback. We love to see you dance ❤

Mauro Di Rosa: Great Tango lessons with the best teachers

Jennifer Evans: Great teachers! Great experience!
Response: Thank you <3 We hope to see you soon again!

Manuela Czapka: One of a kind.
Response: Thank you Manuela <3

Marlene von Steenvag: The Berlin Burlesque Academy offers courses, workshops, a training program, high-quality stag and hen parties and a VVK ticket.

Julie Boleyn: A very inspiring place with many exciting and lovely people who warmly welcome anyone who is interested. You are not only in the right place if you want to discover a new side of yourself, but also if you want to experience a whole new feeling of self-confidence and body positivity. Before I had my first class, I had no idea how amazing and euphoric I would feel after each class. For me it's almost perfect that almost all courses can also be done online (a big advantage for everyone who doesn't live in Berlin). However, I can recommend everyone to take a look at the academy itself! So it doesn't matter whether you just want to get a taste of it, or even want to perform as a professional dancer yourself at some point - it's possible here! I could write a lot more here, but it's best to let yourself be enchanted by Marlene and the other lecturers and dare to take a look into this colourful, glittering and diverse world.

Pia Petrick: heavenly - the ambience on site invites you to relax. The rooms are very stylish and decorated with great attention to detail. Starting with no experience, I started as "Emeralds" for the stage course at the international Berlin Burlesque Festival in Berlin. As a Berliner, it was an honor for me to be able to take part. Packed with burlesque fever, I attend the numerous courses at the Academy. You feel very comfortable and at ease here. Marlene van Steenberg takes a lot of time for me and my wishes and needs. I am completely satisfied! 5 stars PLUS ladies for your great passion and dedication !!!!!!!!!!!
Response: Thank you very much <3 We are very happy to read that! Thank you for joining us <3

La Rubinia: The Academy is truly a place to feel good. Discover your feminine & sensual side. Age and previous knowledge of dancing are irrelevant here. There is something for everyone: become the next burlesque starlet or just try it out. Marlene and her team warmly welcome everyone. One thing is certain: after each course, you leave the Academy beaming with joy and motivation.
Response: Thanks La Rubina!

Madlene Glassen: It's really great how warmly you are welcomed here! I've taken some online courses and received advice on the training program, I'm really looking forward to it and can't wait to dive deeper. :) The quality of the courses is incomparable.
Response: Thank you very much, dear Madlene, that means a lot to read, and we are already looking forward to admiring you on stage 💖

Marie-Louise Lo: For several years I have been coming to Berlin again and again to attend the workshops at the Berlin Burlesque Academy. To share and celebrate the common passion with others. If you are not yet familiar with burlesque and would like to get to know it, this is the right place for you. Simply great 👍👍👍👍👍
Response: See you soon for the next workshop 💖 With extra Schwiiz power 💥😉

Soul Flight Pole Dance Studio: what do users think?

Jessica Slusark: In love with this studio, you have a lot of space for practicing poledance! The poles are very high and it's perfect for practicing climbing and do other acrobatics (especially if you are very tall). The teachers are great, they are really talented and really good at explaining how to make specific moves. Their pole virgin dance classes are perfect for beginners and I would have never started pole dancing if it wasn't for this studio! I would never stop talking fondly about Soulflight, but I would really wish that there wasn't a +7 euro surcharge for USC members on more advanced classes, especially after the addition of plus-checkins feature which makes it even more restricting for booking these classes on a monthly basis (the studio is available only for L and XL members).

Lila Foxton: The facility is clean, fun, safe, and the staff are knowledgable, quirky, incredibly supportive and very patient. They make you feel like you can do it and before you know you are on the pole. If you seriuosly want to learn pole dance you should check out Soul Flight. They have 4,50m poles and plenty of space around it to dance. I've been to a lot of pole studios because each city I travel to I check out the pole studios. I have to say this Studio was absolutely amazing! I loved the way the instructor taught class. It was a great warm up followed by 4 combo moves/tricks. The class flowed great and we accomplished a lot in 60 minutes! Would definitely recommend this studio!

James Hudson: A Berlin institution with 2 rooms, many different styles of classes, and lots of poles. Soul Flight has an equal balance of fitness and dance. You can do drop-in classes, but it's recommended that you sign up for a full 8 week course, to get progressive classes, and have a class performance at the end of the course. The warmups are super-intense. Also has a shower.

Тетяна Муленко: Great studio, amazing trainers, good workout and lots of fun ♥There are all sorts of different classes, including pole dance, exotic (on heels) and different conditionals, like splits or abs&ass workout. There's even a twerking class.

Miky Z: Best poledance studio in Berlin with great teachers and wonderful training rooms. Highly recommended!

Dada Delimustafic: I started training regularly at the end of 2019 and can only report good things about the studio: - facilities are big, clean, have high ceilings and new poles - huge variety of courses: tricks, technique, stretching, exotic dance, twerking, flow... they also change regularly - the teachers are EXTREMELY lovely and superb at dancing and teaching, especially Lily (her classes are a bit tougher, which I love), Mareike (inspiring and mega supportive, a real queen) and Robin (beautiful human and empathic teacher) - the booking system is easy and you can go to any of the classes with the card you purchase, which saves some hassle - the classes start with a really good warm up - owner is open to questions and feedback - it's not a girls only studio, it's not a young only studio... it feels very inclusive and everyone can feel their best regardless of age, gender, race, background - LOVE!

Aurora Moon: My favorite Pole Dance Studio ever. The best teachers and great locations!!

Mareike Mechler: Forever my #1 pole home! My safe haven that makes my soul fly! Highly recommended!

Gaby Wallbraun: Great Atmosphäre and trainers. It's so much fun training there!

Larissa Vieira: Loved the class and the teachers are very friendly and supportive.

Schönheitstanz Berlin Studio: what do users think?

Rachel Riesner - Marriott: Great teachers small class sizes. So much fun learning new dance styles and pushing my fitness further. Online courses also available it's always so much fun to train here. The trainer's know how to push you so you continually make progress I've developed so much since I started coming here. An absolute full body workout! There are burlesque, twerk and other classes offered not just pole. Burlesque is a style of dance every woman should try once in their life.

Geetanjali Kakar: Gem was an amazing instructor! Made us feel confortable from the get go! We attended as part of a bachelorette group and there was plenty of fizz and great music. Everyone I liaised with in the build up was very accomodating, kind and helpful. Can't recommend enough!

Gem Harris: What a wonderful community to be a part of! I came to my first pole class a month after moving to Berlin (and speaking no German!) and was taught by the gorgeous Becky, who is not only a FAB teacher but also speaks perfect English, lucky for me! Fell in love with the place immediately and 2 years later I have become a regular at the studio and even performed on stage at their showcase! Cannot recommend enough, a warm welcome, new friends, and a whole lot of fun awaits you here! :)

Lady Lou: Beautiful location in Berlin, warm welcoming atmosphere, a special and safe place for people to explore their sexy side and have fun!

Dani Sánchez: Spend a great night at the club Engels and especially with the spectacular Priscilla with that Spanish accent 😍😍😍😍

Sasha skay: The best studio !

Elli Gorka: I have been visiting this studio for years and I am so amazed after each visit. It is very informal, very individual due to small classes, very warm. The studio is lovingly furnished and you just feel good. No matter how the day was, you always leave in a good mood after a visit to the beauty dance.

Aleksandra: We booked a pole dance trial lesson at the Schönestanz Berlin Studio as a surprise for our friend's bachelorette party and were super satisfied! The course was perfectly tailored to our abilities, the choreo was a lot of fun and the ambience was just perfect. Gem got us all excited about pole dancing :-) We'd love to come back and highly recommend the studio!

Marika Sauckel: Pole Embodiment course by Yara Mar: Embracing yourself and the poles, feeling earth, sky, inside and outside, finding the center, being present, occupying space. And so let the dance flow and give the oppressed soul an anchor again. Thank you Yara for this healing lesson in perception.

Mrs. SNPL: Not just "just" a beauty dance but a lot more balm for the soul !!! I got this wonderful burlesque dance course (kinky cats) from one of my dearest friends for a birthday and what can I say, this year it was by far the best gift and the most beautiful experience ever! The enchanting course leader Lady Lou is a fascinating personality who knows how to convey the joy of her work with dedication and passion. She designs the two-day course with so much charm and seductive humor that you can quickly take off the initial inhibition and after a while you can let yourself completely fall into your role as seducer. In addition to their good quality work, the personal discussions with women, the exchange, the motives and the topic of empowerment in particular moved me and motivated me most of all. I can only recommend this course with Lady Lou and already know that I will continue to attend it. Maybe you will meet each other :-) Thank you Lady Lou for making my day and releasing my inner p *** y cat MEOW! ❤

Pole Dance 4 You - Pole Dance Berlin: what do users think?

Sophia Ed: Cheap studio but administrative difficulties. [edit after the studio called me to ask for explanations] The studio is cheap (which is a good point). On the administrative level, the communication was good but there were recurrent issues with payments. For instance, as a student, my discount was several times removed without notification. It would be great if there was an automatic reminder to send in proof of matriculation since there is apparently an automatic return to the full fee every few months. An offer to refund the difference between the full and the student fee was never offered. Also, the monthly fee was taken from my account even after termination of contract. Again, the communication wasn't so bad and it was resolved quickly but in the initial listing of what was left to pay, they forgot to mention an open bill for the first half month. It was apparently in my initial contract, but I think this is the job of the administration to make sure such details are taken into account. I do not blame the individual people working in administration, the communication was relatively fast, but as a non-native German speaker, it is difficult to understand rapid-fire German concerning contracts and such. I would think that it was obvious over the phone that German is not my native language and therefore would have appreciated a slower and easier language. This would have helped to avoid certain misunderstandings. Also, multiple calls to ask to rethink my initial comment are over-stepping my boundaries and privacy. Although it did lead me ultimately to a more complete comment, I feel like I was somehow guilted into it. Unrelated to myself is the fact that I've heard of very difficult situations from other former students trying to terminate their contract, sometimes leading to legal advice, blocking of access to bank account, and multiple calls with the Vebrachszentral. Regarding the studio itself, the booking system is not the best: courses get booked way in advance, the number of participants allowed changes over time (sometimes without the trainers knowledge) and it's been the case that many people don't show up for some courses, which is too bad for people who wanted to take the class but couldn't book a slot. For more experienced dancers (intermediate - advanced): there is not so much offer anymore. For beginners however, there's plenty. Courses are also sometimes cancelled at the last minute, has happened 2-3 times to me. Trainers constantly change over time, perhaps this is due to Corona, perhaps not. All in all, a decent studio for a cheap price (compared to others in Berlin) but somewhat a bit chaotic. I hope this comment is now more of the administration's taste. I would appreciate if you only contact me in cases of actual questions concerning payment and contract rather than asking me to justify my review.
Response: This long review shows that the member needed to speak - even if no native speaker German can speak to EVERY member with problems - what a pity that she didn't do that and we contacted her. You should read a contract that you conclude - the proportionate contribution was on the contract. Mistakes are made where people work - we apologized very nicely to the member for ours. Everything is duly recorded in the terms and conditions - you have to read them too. One should be very careful...hearing something and spreading it without expertise will quickly land in a lawsuit for defamation. But thank you at least 3 stars.

Viktoria MoG: Great studio, nice trainer and lot of different classes.

Andrew: Does not allow males to join classes as they are only for women. This is unfortunate as pole is for everyone, not just for women. The studio said they are new and haven't managed to create mens only classes yet but they hope to. Which is something... Better would be to just make all classes mixed and for everyone.

Liudmila Zolotukhina: Sandra is very nice and professional!

Jacob Scott: Poor administration.

Saskia Waitl: Really great pole dance studio, only to be recommended! The trainers always try their best to respond to each student individually and Sandra can always be reached by e-mail and telephone during opening hours and is always friendly and accommodating if you have any questions! I'm super happy with you and my body feeling has improved a lot, the progress is really impressive! :-) Thanks!

Esther Zamani-Achtiani: I am super excited and look forward to coming to training every time! Emails were always answered quickly and I was always able to reach someone on the phone! The trainers are all great and care about each student. You just feel comfortable! For me, this studio is definitely the right one.
Response: Hello dear Esther, we were so happy about your feedback and your great rating and are happy to pass on the kind words to our trainers. If you have something on your mind, we always try to find the best solution. Keep staying motivated. We look forward to your visit!

queen v: I am one of the trainers in this studio for 3 years. Working with Sandra, the owner, is great! Of course sometimes things don't go perfectly for one or both of them, especially at these times, but that's life. There is no such thing as perfect. Of all the studios in Berlin, this one is my favorite. Compared to the other studios, this one is well organized, clean, tidy, everything for teaching and learning is there, dear students, who have a lot of choice between the lessons but also the different trainers. We trainers even have our own lockers, there are two toilets and a shower, which some other studios lack. Sandra is always available, has always supported me as much as possible and when there are things to discuss, it always works. She always tries to offer the best to the students and to make us trainers happy. That's why I'm looking forward to our further cooperation and joint projects. Greetings to all <3

Sarah Schmidt: I just love this studio and to this day I'm grateful that a friend dragged me here back then. The Flow/Exotic courses with Tanja, Milena and Maria are simply awesome. It is so much fun! Thanks to the good training in the technique courses, I make progress week after week and that just gives me so much self-confidence and motivation. The studio is totally informal and I have met incredibly great people here. Thanks!

Anna H: Unfortunately only 2 stars - my personal reasons for this: The quality of the training depends very much on the respective trainer and unfortunately no trainer has been there for longer than 6 months in recent years. There were hygiene regulations during the Corona period, but they were not implemented (e.g. no distance, no verification of corona tests, no face mask in the changing room, overbooked courses, i.e. I often had to share a pole with someone, disinfection after use was only voluntary, ...). During the Corona period, the studio was closed for 8 months and then many members resigned, including me. The period of notice has been extended by 8 months and, despite the confirmation of termination, the fee was still debited even after the membership had expired. I decided on this studio at the time because of the very good ratings, but since I know from the community that many honest and constructive reviews have written in recent months that can no longer be seen online, I can no longer believe the reviews online believe.
Response: Dear Mrs. M Ha Thank you for the lack of rating. If you are already evaluating us, then you should stick to the truth. Fortunately, we have successfully reopened the studio for a year and are wondering why you are now complaining about the Corona situation. For one, the studio had been closed for 9 months!! During this time, no contributions were posted for anyone. An extension of the contract was on a voluntary basis of the member - no obligation! During the Corona period, the participants never had to share a pole. We followed the rule and even made a signboard for all participants. Which you surely missed. We always have disinfectants on hand and have always made sure paper towels are available. Some trainers have been with us for 5 years. We don't know why you're looking for reasons to make business look bad. We are all struggling and very shocked why there are people who want to harm you! Fortunately, the other participants see things differently and are happy to come to us! Our courses are going great and the participants are very satisfied with us. Best regards Poledance4you

Le Chat Noir Berlin: Pole, Aerial & Theater Kurse: what do users think?

Julia Zagrodzka: In search for a place to learn pole dance, I came to Le Chat Noir. There was no one at the reception so I had to ask around to figure out where the changing room was, that I had to leave shoes at the entrance etc. The instructor was friendly and the class was interesting, although I did feel lost at times (it was my very first time ever doing pole dance). Unfortunately, there were as many poles as students, which meant that the trainer had to take the pole of one of us to show tricks and poses. Maybe I was just unlucky, but as my experience was not so good, I decided to not continue learning there.

Swetha Vivek: I love them. Sometimes we are overbooked and need to share poles and hoops which is why I took a star off. Else, the trainers are absolutely amazing and I always have a great time here.

Alla Kiperman: I've discovered this wonderful studio in the hearts of Schöneberg in the summer, and after having been to many different pole studios, I can say that this place is an absolute gem. The variety of classes offered is unlike anything I've ever encountered before: from pole acrobatics, to aerial hoop, to theatre improv classes and stretching!!! Its a wonderful compilation of dance and theatre under one roof. The instructor is very friendly and professional, and will encourage you to try new things with grace and flare. Highly recommend this studio!

Elena Kiperman: Positive: Professionalism, QualityLovely studio space, great variety of classes and passionate and friendly instructor! The place to be for all pole, aerial and theatre lovers, or for anyone who wants to try something new!

J. Renx: A very friendly pole studio, which offers a variety of different classes

Engin Altinova (The Filming Engine): Great teacher and class. Really enjoyed warm up and cool down phase...good for flexibility and core strength.

Sarah Kirchhecker: Nice studio with a very nice, competent teacher. I've been to Pole, Aerial Hoop and Improtheater. The courses are really fun and well structured so that you learn a lot and make progress quickly.

Carina Zimmermann: Great courses and great educators/instructors. Thanks to Sabina :-)

S. M.: Really great studio.

Delia Ha: Great studio where you are individually supported in your goals.

Pole Flow Berlin: what do users think?

Fernanda D'Emery: I attended a workshop at the studio and really enjoyed the vibe and the class itself. The place is also quite beautiful. However, the location could be much better. Besides not easy to find, it’s located near several car repair stores, which brings inside some sort of dark dust (my nude knee pads were really dirty after the class, not to mention my legs). Had I known about this before, I probably wouldn’t have booked a class. Even though the environment in the studio is welcoming, the aesthetics is nice and the class was good, I feel better in a cleaner space, so I would not recommend the place for people who are a bit neat freaks like myself.
Response: Thank you Fernanda ❣️

Olivia Amon: Very sweet pole dance studio! Very cool and friendly teachers, you can learn a lot there. Also its a very aware space and very queer friendly :) When you're going there for the first time, its rather hard to find though, so make sure to read the directions carefully ;) Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to learn pole dance on any level, thank you pole flow! <3
Response: Thank you Olivia for your lovely feedback! 💓 We are very grateful and lucky to have you as part of our Pole Family 🙏🏼

Susana Chamorro: First thing I would say about pole flow is that it feels like a safe space for everybody. And when we talk about pole, where u show a lot of skin, with a lot of mirrors, with people around u, is very important that u can feel embrace. There is many people that through pole as in my case, worked like a therapy in so many levels. I started to go to pole flow many years a go, and i am still going there, sometimes 3 times a week and also online classes. There you can learn many different styles from many different teachers which i think is amazing. I am very grateful for the experience that i am getting from the studio and I cant wait to the next class :))) Xx
Response: Thank you so much for your review and feedback Susana! It warms our hearts to hear. We do believe pole can be very healing and we try our best to create the environment for such magic to take place ✨

Annabel: Best Pole studio in Berlin !! The space is beautiful, nice and clean. The team of teachers is super professional, kind, friendly and helpful, a wide diversity of classes- from acrobatics to fun and sexy dance routines, and the studio has really special, inclusive energy. Always a positive experience, Highly recommend!
Response: Thank you so much Annabel! We are very happy to hear ❤️‍🔥

Eva M: pole flow is like a second home to me in Berlin. It’s rare and wonderful to find a studio that is beautiful, full of great classes, but also one that is so respectful of the history and culture of Pole dance. This is not your average “Pole fitness” studio, but one that embraces the rich history of sensuality and dance, as well as strength building via tricks and such.
Response: Thank you so much Eva! 💓

Elise: I can only recommend Pole Flow, I started pole dancing there some years ago and this studio is so good. I love the teachers, the variety of their styles, they all give you very good inputs. Workshops are also tip top (more please !)
Response: Thank you so much Elise! It warm our hearts We look forward to continue dancing together ❣️

Valeriia Melnyk: This is a unique studio in Berlin! It's always clean and comfortable here. Professional and friendly teachers, nice atmosphere. Here I always feel like at home :) Classes are competent, sincere and fun. This is the perfect place for me!
Response: Thank you so much for your feedback Valeria! ✨

hannka: Nice space and trainer but weird location and the beginner course was more like an advanced course. The pole I danced on was also really scratched, dirty and old which is a nogo for me. Overall okay experience.
Response: Hi Hannka, thank you for your feedback! We are sorry to hear you found the beginners course too advanced. We would appreciate if you could email us at poleflowberlin@gmail.com to share which specific course it was. Thank you for bringing the damaged pole to our attention, it has been replaced now :)

Emily Volbert: The teachers at Pole Flow are super sweet, the studio itself is beautiful and you never have to share a pole. By far my favorite Pole Studio in Berlin!
Response: Thank you so much Emily! 💓

kira-lily m: I've been training with Pole Flow for nearly a couple of years now, including the time when classes were online only, and I've always found them to be the best studio in Berlin to train with. There is a great variation of dancing styles from each different instructor, so you truly feel like you are able to learn a wide range of techniques and flairs. The studio is gorgeous especially after a recent renovation and the instructors are super supportive and helpful in class! Would definitely recommend this studio to anyone looking to start pole dance/acrobatics/fitness/etc :) :)
Response: Thank you so much Kira! ❤️

Muse Pole Dance: what do users think?

Julia Zagrodzka: In search for a place to learn pole dance, I came to Muse. I took an intro class with Steffi and I loved it! The class was well structured and entertaining, the instructor spoke English very well, was open to questions and made sure that everyone was following. Also the person at the reception was so positive and lovely, I felt really warmly welcomed and could ask all the questions I had. Thank you! I will surely be back :)

Viv Davis: I’ve been pole dancing on and off for 8 years now, training in various studios in different countries. Muse pole dance really exemplifies what a pole dance studio should be. A place with classes of fantastic quality, regard for safety and fun during practice. Classes are challenging in a way that makes you want to improve and the teachers encourage you to bring out the best in you. I really love the atmosphere there and can’t praise it enough. If you’re considering visiting a studio in Berlin, this is it!

Meghana Jinnuri: All of the instructors are extremely professional, supportive and friendly, the team truly creates the most positive and fun learning atmosphere. Muse has different class offers (heels, choreo, flexibility…)as well as workshops and guest instructors, making it all the more interesting for students. I could not recommend this studio more!!

Sophie Florian: Had a private group course here with 12 girls and the atmosphere, the pace of the lesson and the learnings were amazing! Can only recommend! Both, chair and pole dance possible

Elena Bosalygo: One of the best pole schools in Berlin. High kevel of teachers + excellent location + modern design + always clean.

Ina Sivertsen: Positive: QualityThis studio has such an amazing atmosphere and the instructors are amazing. I took classes with Miglena and Lilli who are so passionate about their job. They are so , technical and very good at explaining during the class. This will be my forever-go-to studio in Berlin <3

Elena Borsellino: I had my first pole class at Muse (about a year ago) and I still go there regularly. The classes will challenge you, and the instructors are talented and very good at teaching. The studio is rather small but it makes for a cozy atmosphere and during class, everybody has their own pole. There's a shop with everything you need and the staff is super friendly. Men are also welcome, which is very nice. ♡

GUIZHI CHEN: Muse pole dance is a very good dance studio, located in the Mitte of Berlin. They have a team of very experienced, professional and skilful instructor in the studio. I have been taking the class here for nearly a year, and I have improved a lot of my skill and dance routine, from a total beginner to Level 2 within 6 months. They create different pole choreographies that are suit for different levels. Instructors are very patient to teach and taking very good care of the safety of each students. The decorations of the studio is very enjoyable, clean and artistic. I really enjoy dancing here.

naomi sh: This studio offers a variety of interesting and intriguing classes, suitable for every level. The team is great and they help you with whatever you need and the teachers are highly skilled and professional; they guide you through your development in every aspect 💓

Jennifer S: Positive: Professionalism, QualityBeautiful studio (the gold-coated poles that are screwed into the ceiling are such a nice touch & the lighting is perfectly set up to flatter!), multiple professional and capable teachers, teaching available in both English & German, multiple levels and styles available, very central location. Studio owner is charming.

Pro-Stage Berlin: what do users think?

Europe Petline: The team : disorganized, unfriendly, arrogant. especially the owner. Dance classes: poor, superficial, unprofessional. the intermediate classes are practically lessons for beginners. The studio: small, ugly. you can't really move, definitely not suitable for dance. there are definitely better dance schools in Berlin.
Response: Hello Cristina, although you are writing anonymously, I will address you by name because you were the only one in the last year who wanted to describe us in such a negative way. Our participants are very enthusiastic about our work and appreciate what we have achieved, especially in the last year. We are a privately run institution and we have mastered all difficulties very flexibly, professionally and organized even in the exceptionally challenging pandemic period. We have great welcoming spaces and great trainers who provide excellent training from recreational to professional training. We are a state-registered supplementary school and offer 3-year full-time training in the areas of dance, singing and acting, which leads to a qualified professional qualification. And all this for more than 15 years! You regularly attended our ballet training (and continued to come even after this review, so it can't be that bad with us ;-)) and when there were problems with one of our distribution partners in the first lockdown period, we have 2 owners and one Counter - Kraft takes care of you and your concerns - although the solution to your problem, as explained several times, was NOT our responsibility! And now comes this inappropriate and untrue review, unfair and unacceptable from us! DAN-PRO-STAGE Berlin

Susanne Quakkelaar: Last week I went out of my comfort zone and tried something completely different for myself. I tried breakdance for beginners. It already started when I came in the studio, there were already students waiting but there was no one to tell me where to change etc. That was of course not the biggest problem. I saw a guy going in of the rooms but it was not clear for me that was the teacher of the class that I was about to join. Eventually I went inside and asked if this was the breakdance for beginner class. I was waiting for him to start the class but he was just dancing and playing around and it was already time to start. Than eventually he came to me and showed me the first move. Where was the warming up? There was none. So I tried things with the basic step and I saw the teacher was no longer paying attention to me but to his other students. I could see this was not a organized planned class. They were just dancing & playing around. I didn't know further what to do and eventually I went to the teacher if he was gonna teach me something else. He asked me if I did everything that was possible with the move he taught me. I needed to explore every possibility on my own. Because dancing is listening to yourself, and if you're afraid to dance it means you're afraid of yourself. So this was his answer? I don't know how to breakdance. How can I even start to (break) dance if I don't know the basics. This is the reason why I came to a beginner class to learn from someone and not to improvise or to create something on my own. Than I would go to a completely different class. He just explained to me that this is not his philosophy. That it was not about how to breakdance. But to feel the music. I will never come back to this studio. I'm sure there are other teachers with different teaching style but this really made me feel annoyed. I wanted to learn a different style but in the end I was just improvising on my own.
Response: Susanne, you judged our whole school that bad after one single trial lesson?! We are sorry, that this training did not fulfill your expectations, but 2 stars for the whole studio is quite unfair. We started in 2004 and we have lots of students and teachers who follow us since then. We have 45 classes a week, given from 14 very qualified different teachers. And all classes are well visited. And we are a state-approved supplement school and train students in a 3-year full-time education to become a dancer singer and actor. Liam is a very good teacher and Breakdancer – and of course he teaches his philosophy: Breakdance is freestyling and exploring something new. As you wrote: you wanted to try something new to leave your comfort zone. In our opinion that means you should have tried to find out what the teacher means, and not thinking that you know how a breakdance training should be taught. Best, Pro - Stage Berlin

PoleFlow Berlin: Dance classes are great!! very recommended
Response: Thank you for your post!

Jose L: If you want to become a dancer or an actor, DO NOT enroll in this school: only half of the advertised offer is actually taught, the lessons from the main mentors are often unprepared and contain little technical education, instead all the more psychological Assault coupled with various stereotypical views that are spread. There's a lot to learn from the other teachers, but they don't determine the training.
Response: We have been a state nec for almost 20 years. Vocational school for the performing arts. Among other things, we offer full-time training to become a freelance artist. Being able to practice free art as a profession means learning to turn your innermost being to the outside, being able to show yourself intensively and always making sure that courage is greater than fear ;-) of course, that's not for everyone and that's exactly what it is for I also thought of such an apprenticeship - to find out whether you can and would like to do it. And sometimes, after a while, a student realizes that this work is not for him/her. Then there is usually disappointment - understandably - and then sometimes the institution must be "to blame" ;-) Students who work successfully with us deal with the trainers in their work and thus surpass themselves and understand it is to assert yourself and your opinion and also to enforce it. As a result, they also understand more and more why we work the way we do. Anyone who doesn't manage to work in this openness then writes untrue, anonymous reviews....all the best for the future, DAN

L: I wanted to come to the ballet class that was recruited through USC. There I was greeted by surprise from the window and told that the lesson would probably not take place until 2 hours later. I should look that up again. Too bad, no thanks!
Response: Hello, we are very sorry that you had any inconvenience because something went wrong at Urbansports with the change of the schedule! Unfortunately, you fell right into the change of time for this course, sorry!!! We advise all Urbansports members to keep checking our website or to follow us on Instagram. In any case, all changes always work here! Your anger is understandable, but it's a pity that you're only giving our entire institution one star because of a visit that didn't work out. The trainer who was giving one-to-one lessons stopped his lesson and looked out the window to try to solve your problem because no one else was there yet. We have been a vocational school for the performing arts for almost 20 years and, in addition to our full-time professional training and our individual lessons, we also offer around 30 different open courses every week. Feel free to get an objective picture of our work, we look forward to welcoming you again. Many greetings, DAN

CiJa SeKo: I trained there for a while last year, until unfortunately my babysitter dropped out, so I didn't have time anymore. I have taken ballet lessons and have had very pleasant experiences: the teachers adapt their level of instruction to those present and also take the time to carefully dissect and explain individual step sequences technically if you do not know them and ask questions. I can highly recommend the school: the morning, open training is great, whether you're a student there or an external participant (like me). In the evening it is busier but not too crowded. I hope that I'll be able to train there again soon in the future.
Response: Thanks for the great feedback!

Ninorta Coban: I have been completing my training as a stage artist in the fields of dance, singing and acting for almost 2 years and I am very happy that I took this step. I've been taking singing lessons since I was 9 years old and I'm 25 years old now. Never before has a teacher managed to get as much out of me as the singing teacher DAN, a remarkable woman with many talents who brings her many years of experience and great methods to the lessons. I also take part in numerous classes on the subjects of dance, acting, business and presence. With the professional work of the teachers, an individual approach to each student or character succeeds. As a result, the best can be brought out of everyone. I am grateful that this school exists and can only recommend it!
Response: Dear Ninorta, thank you for your great feedback - it's a lot of fun to accompany you as you "grow" :-)

ella fitz: I've been going to PRO - STAGE to dance for many years, with the same quality and consistently low prices. I particularly like ballet at Matthew and jazz at Warnar - highly recommended! The school has very great managers, trainers and staff and the students are very nice - there is no arrogant bickering here, which I find very relaxing. I also like to be in the spacious entrance and lounge area after training, there is always someone to chat with. In training there is a warm and concentrated work atmosphere, here you really make progress!
Response: Dear Ella, thank you for your detailed feedback :-)

Byrke Lou: I've been coming back to Pro-Stage for 6 years and I've only had 100% good experiences. I don't understand what negative things are written about the school at all. On the contrary. I have the feeling that someone here is deliberately turning all the positive qualities of the school into negative ones. I now work professionally as a musician/dancer, but I still enjoy coming to training. In my opinion the best school in Berlin. I have never experienced so much genuine and honest commitment to students and their careers anywhere else. Enjoy the training!! ------ In my opinion the best school in Berlin, just check it out!
Response: Dear Byrke, thank you very much for your great rating and your support against the "character assassination" ;-) Luckily there are more people who appreciate our work... And it's always a pleasure to work with you - professionally , determined, inspired and motivated...what more does a trainer need :-)

Stella Talesnik: I learned more in this school in 3 years than in the previous 20 years in several other schools in Berlin. Thank you that you exist!
Response: Dear Stella, waoh - thank you so much for your great feedback. It's a pleasure to watch you grow :-) Kind regards, DAN

DA F.U.N.K. Hip Hop Street Dance Courses in Berlin: what do users think?

Nicole Strauch: Best dance school! Lessons are always fun and you make friends quickly 😊 The choreos are also awesome and really make you want to :))

meliiinish: The fact that the course takes place at Holmesplace is great! Very easy to reach, great premises! The trainer is young, but she's got it all and you learn a lot about music in addition to dancing! An hour always goes by way too fast :( Every Thursday evening I look forward to the next Thursday :D

2malaika1: We recommend. The location is easy to reach by all means of transport and even on foot. Great rooms in the Holmes Palace. Afterwards you can, if you want to take a shower right there. A big compliment goes to the dance coach. Although she is younger than most participants, she knows exactly what she is doing. She has a lot of patience and shows each step so that he sits in the end. All in all, but in a pleasant way, so you feel really comfortable. I enjoy every time I can go in the evening. Everybody is integrated by the trainer so that everybody gets together with everybody in a dance part. The music selection is very good. Come along and see it for yourself at a trial lesson. :)

Hafize Özsari: I've taken a few dance classes and never had so much fun! I learned great choreography in a dynamic group and with the coolest music. Absolutely not a mainstream course, because everyone is treated and trained individually here. The trainer can motivate everyone and integrate them into the group! I'm totally happy!

sabine forcioli conti: Courses great :) ! But communication with the school under all dignity!!!

Wir du: Not found Sow hard to find

Lucia: The trainer is really great.

TapBeat, International Tap Dance Center: what do users think?

Alisa Kotmair: Such a positive, welcoming vibe at TapBeat! Great for kids, international staff, interesting classes. Finally a bit of creativity for all ages in the S-Bahn Bögen at Savigny Platz. It would be great to have more of that in the area.
Response: Dear Alisa, thank you so much. We are happy to be able to offer you our dance classes and to have you as such a nice customer. 👍♥️

Jelena Tojic: Great, inspirative place! Good concept, people and energy..

Claudia: Great tap dance studio. After a long hiatus, I started tap dancing again. I was happy that Cristina offers the online courses. So I was able to start tapping again at home even when I was in lockdown. I felt like I belonged right away and it was/is nice to tap-tap with other people (at home). It's even nicer in the studio. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again in August and I think it's great that I can take part online, even if I'm not in Berlin.
Response: Dear Claudia, we are very happy that you are here and that you feel comfortable at TapBeat. Thank you for your nice feedback.

Sibylle Boeckh: Great dance studio with great teachers, workshops with international dance greats and a very nice atmosphere. I have been taking courses regularly for two years and have already learned a lot. Hopefully this place will survive the current Corona crisis unscathed!
Response: Dear Sibylle, thank you very much for your nice feedback. Yes, we keep fighting and hope to one day be able to dance with you "in person" again.

Angie Binnewitt: I came as a workshop guest and immediately felt at home there, as if I were a regular student there. The location 😍😍😍 Wonderful, horny floor that really makes sound. Christina and the people I met from the team 😍😍😍 Warm, warm and crazy. I will certainly travel to you every now and then
Response: Dear Angie, it was a pleasure having you with us. Come back soon, we will miss you... Cristina and the TapBeat team

Belly Dancer Isabella: Beautiful space and convenient location. The owner is very friendly and accommodating!
Response: Thanks for the nice review and see you soon.

D!´s Dance School: what do users think?

Jessica Brandao: I did the Lady HipHop Beginner Class with Kimberly and I have to say she is just the sweetest girl! I really liked the way she structured the class. Hopefully the school will remain open in these uncertain times.

Manikanta Garikipati: Great trainers, you will not miss fun and learning!

Olga Dryn: I went here for a Zumba class and it was great! Teacher was super engaged and energized! we had so much fun ;)

Tatiana S: I was surprised how friendly and cheering the front desk person was, it happens rarely esp. in Berlin. Warmest welcome and the class is great. I love how the rooms are that one can really see yourself in the mirror (only in one other studio in Berlin I ever been it was the same), there is even AC (super rare practice in here as well). The teacher was great too! Definitely coming back.

Amanda M: The class was amazing but the front desk staff was not friendly.

Marién Quattrocento: I went there some months ago for a pole class and I didn't come back again. We were around 25 people in the room and just one teacher with three poles available. We couldn't even fit for the warm up. The levels were so mixed and the teacher couldn't check on the students. It is not safe being 25 students and just one teacher, you can really hurt yourself in pole. Also the studio is in several floors of a building and dressing rooms are on one floor and the pole studio on another, so you had to go with your very light pole clothes all the way up till the room. Never again.

Darya Sudas: I love this school. The staff was always helpful, the coaches are fun and creative.

Valentine: Don't fall into this overpriced trap of a "Fitness Studio". Schedule is completely unreliable : in three months and with an allowance of one class a week (for the same price, you can have unlimited classes in most gyms, by the way), I've been walking back home 7 times because of classes being cancelled. This is unacceptable, given that this is the ONLY service I am paying for. And this is only for classes that were not announced as cancelled on Facebook (which would be the MINIMUM in these circumstances). It seems like the main focus is dance classes, and that fitness classes are merely an extra that can be skipped and dismissed any time without a care. For instance, they were completely cancelled an entire week-end because of a gala, with no warning whatsoever. You can also feel it in the care given to the infrastructure to support these classes: gear is missing (there are most of the time not enough weights for everyone, same goes for yoga blocks, mats are permanently dirty), sometimes teachers have to look for a free room, or to teach a calm yoga class next to a super loud Zumba class (and it's not like space or rooms are missing, it would just take a better organization). Teachers are nice, at least, it's a pity to waste their energy and talent with such poor organization and total lack of customer respect. If you're a pure dancer and you care about overpriced "star" marketed classes, maybe you'll be starstruck happy with it. If not, really avoid the place. To the school: If you care about keeping *all* your customers (not just the dancers), please focus less on brand marketing and posts about how awesome your stars (that I've never seen in the studio in 3 months, by the way) are, and provide at least basic communication and updated schedules on all platforms (it's ridiculous, your studio schedules and PDF schedules have been outdated for 3 months!!! Do something.) - A very disappointed customer.

Alex Siberian: awesome dance school for beginners and advanced

martin castagna: mega😎

THE CENTER Activities in English STUDIO 1: what do users think?

Aarti Rustagi: We have had such a pleasant time at The Centre Berlin. All the instructors are excellent, skilled, creative and talented and more so really warm and affectionate. My daughter started when she was 3 year old and settled very well since the instructors ( Veronica, Jemma, Maurice, Courtney) were very welcoming and truly engaging. We started with one class and moved to 3, that's how delightful the experience was. The way all of them beautifully integerate each and every child and their needs is amazing. We wish we could have stayed longer unfortunately it's time to move to our homeland. It's been so relaxing for me to leave my daughter and have some fun time with the fantastic friends that I made with other mother's. I would recommend it to anyone. Just go there and am sure both you and your kid will have a blast for sure. Most importantly I would congratulate Martina for creating this beautiful space.truly appreciate the hardwork that she puts in to maintain.
Response: Hi Aarti! Thank you soo much for this warm and lovely review! It has been such a pleasure having both of you here. We will miss you! I hope you are settling into your new home well. Martina

Queenvick: The first time I stepped into the Center, my daughter was just a few months old and we joined the Baby music group. Not only was the teacher fantastic but those other Mothers would become my lifelong friends. Flash forward a couple of years and we returned when my daughter (now 3) wanted to start Ballet. So, we began and right away, she loved her teacher and loved going to her class. Then she wanted to add Musical Theater - so we did and again, she loves it. As for me, I have made new friends that I will cherish in my life yet again through the Center. I really think this is because the Center allows for conversation between Parents and allows the Kids (and I'm sure Adults as well) to learn at their pace while still making sure that they are trying and having a great time. It's always been a happy place for me in Berlin and I do hope that you will find it to be the same!
Response: Thank you so much Victoria! It's always so nice to have you two here!

Jessy “Drya” Halison: My ballet classes with Brittany is one of the bright of my week. I am always looking forward to these moment of work in such a happy and empowering atmosphere. As adult, I was afraid to start ballet, I thought that it would be too late for me to learn anything or even progress. How wrong was I! The different teachers I had, and especially Brittany, always made me feel welcome, seen, and supported. They make sure you have a good time, but leave the class having learnt something and make some progress. And what I particularly like is that they really pay attention that you learn properly and don't develop bad habits that could be harmful for your body. I recommend this place to any adult wanting to learn new dance, and would be afraid to start as adult: there, you will feel at home! On the Studio 1 itself: it is well located (between several public transportation stops). The beautiful wood floor is a bit uneven unfortunately. But nothing really problematic.
Response: Thank you so much, Jessy! You're right... it's never too late to start Ballet! We love seeing you grow since the Introduction to Ballet course!

Irene Bodle: My daughter has been in the ballet class for the last four years. She loves all of the ballet teachers, her class and ballet. I highly recommend the course for anyone who has a 4 - 8 year old child wanting to learn ballet in a fun and professional way.
Response: Thank you so much Irene! It’s been so lovely having you both here for so many years.

Maria Lopez Echeverria: The system to book or cancel classes is really flexible and works perfectly with a real life schedule, also Brittany, my teacher of adult ballet classes is a great professional who cares very much for her classes and students. This is a very good school.
Response: Thank you so much for the kind words! We are happy when you are.

Olen Steinhauer: Having been through a variety of children's performance schools in the US--on both the east and west coasts--I was pleasantly surprised by The Center's caring interest in my child, over and above the very fair fees they charged. If anything, I felt compelled to urge them to charge more so as to afford a larger space they were looking into. The teachers are cheerful and enthusiastic, the administration pleasant to deal with, and my daughter always left in an upbeat mood, eager to share what she had learned. Terrific place.

B G: My favorite place to take dance classes in Berlin. The teachers are all beyond qualified and super patient, even with adult beginners like me.
Response: Thank you so much! So great that you started dancing!

athanasia tsavalas: My son and I love The Center! He is almost five and has been doing various courses there since he was only a few months old! The atmosphere is relaxed and positive and I have made some really good friends there over the years . I can highly recommend The Center, just drop by and check it out!

J Zimmermann: Great teachers, very professional and helpful, lots of fun with no pressure at all. Also amazingly flexible and helpful system for booking/re-booking with the unexpected things of the adult working-life!
Response: Thank you so much Jo! I hope you stop by the next time you're in Berlin. I was lovely having you here.

osama aliraqi: Ok

La Candela: what do users think?

Claire Klaire: 100% recommended! Ido is an excellent teacher, passionate and pedagogical, who knows how to teach the most technical elements of salsa in a great atmosphere. In my opinion, the training offered (sessions by level and not drop-in classes) is also ideal - and most certainely unique in Berlin - and allows you to really progress in a few months. Go for it!

Martyna: Great salsa school! I tried a few salsa classes before but it's the first time I feel that someone is actually teaching me how to dance from the beginning. There is a teaching program from beginner to advanced which is awesome and gives you an opportunity to get better. People are super nice and friendly, very international atmosphere, I definitely recommend to everyone!

Henrique Silva: I really enjoy the way Ido teaches the cuban salsa and the attention he gives to the mechanics of the body to create an organic motion (vs a forced one). The beginner course can feel challenging for someone with no experience since we do learn something new in every class. I took the recommendation of repeating it and, I don't regret it. The second time around I had more time to focus on details and worried less about moving my legs and looked more at my partner instead of looking and mimicking what the teacher was doing. I'm continuing my journey on La Candela for the next courses so I will probably give an update at later time.

Darya N: Ido is a great teacher, and the courses at La Candela are always very well-structured and fun! Ido pays a lot of attention to detail and provides students with valuable feedback. If you want to build up or improve your technique in Salsa Cubana, this is the right place!

Anila Fetiu: Highly recommended. I have tryied also other salsa courses in Berlin but I can't even compare. The teaching, the comunity you will be part of, is absolutely amazing. :)

Natela Kotoreishvili: Can only recommend this salsa school! Joined the classes a few months ago and l am absolutely loving it since then! Very committed teachers and dancers, with structured and methodological approach to learning and developing skills. Thank you!

Emrullah Acar: Learning cuban salsa with Ido is amazing. The techniques he teachs are really good and he's making it easy for us.

heinzel mennchen: Ido is a great teacher, he gives helpful and individual tips to learn how to salsa and improve your dancing skills! Definitit recommendation for everybody, beginner or advanced!

Oded Bercovitz: Totally my kind of place! Ido is great! Prices are fare and it is the right place to become a good salsero ☺️

huthaifa abdullateef: La Candela is a very unique school, Ido has a strong passion for Salsa and it show's in his teaching techniques, I have been to multiple schools around Germany and I am yet to find the same level of professionalism and effort being presented in a Salsa class, What I like about La Candela is that it provides a learning journey from start to finish meaning that there is something for everyone, with the focus to get you dancing as soon as possible while making sure you are having fun doing it, in my opinion, La Candela is doing an excellent job of providing the technical foundation and the encouragement to go out and dance in clubs and even inviting students to major Salsa events, I have been dancing Salsa for over 3 years attending multiple schools here and there, but I haven't made much progress until I joined La Candela, I am really happy with the results and would recommend it to everyone.
