Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology: what do users think?

Всеволод Черепанов: I had a chance to work at the Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology at the beginning of 2019, I was accepted into the laboratory of Marina Chekulaeva, who kindly invited me to her laboratory for an internship after passing the interview and selection. I went for knowledge and experience, and I was not mistaken. I was lucky to be involved in interesting international scientific projects with the opportunity to publish articles in journals with the highest impact factor, work on modern equipment and discuss my results in an academic environment in a wonderful friendly atmosphere. All this created a comfortable working environment. Marina, as an experienced research supervisor, helped me a lot by recommending that I write and send a project to apply for a DAAD scholarship for a longer term job, which now gives me the chance to write a thesis in one of the best scientific institutions in Germany. I am very grateful to Marina for the opportunity and very I look forward to further cooperation.

Sinan Bulduk: Unfortunately not a good experience. Mfg sbzubehoer

Marcus Noster: The stairs are arte. Nice to look at.

Labor Berlin - Charité Vivantes GmbH: what do users think?

KrAEzY “KrAEzY” KrAEzY: Had to go to give a urine sample for a drug test. Haven't smoked cannabis for over a year. Still positive!...??? In the meantime rapid tests given, all negative. sample swapped? Incorrect result due to inferior test procedure...? I am not reassured over the phone. "It will all be right." Well, thanks, like I don't know best if I took anything. For info; I wasn't even close to drugs. Also no chance that something was foisted on me! Disgusting. Possibly revoked probation due to the negligence of Labor Berln? Do another test to rule out errors? No chance. "Labor Berlin tests can be used in court". Many thanks for that!

K R: I had contact with a very lovely receptionist who was very committed to doing everything I could. The laboratory works at full speed even on public holidays and my results were available in less than 24 hours.

Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine: what do users think?

Rob Faber: They make life changing scientific discoveries for people suffering throughout the world. The work done here literally saves lives. How can you be against this?

Agnes Szczepek: Cool but difficult to acces by public transpor8

Arman Pirkeh: Its was really interesting and learned alot, definitely suggesting it

Ryan Jones: A huge atrium good for science events.

mohamed ezzat: I applied for Phd MDC program , I wish to be one of MDC team

Petya Jordan: Internationally recognized top research institute and a great place to work at!

Elena Vázquez Sarandeses: Research center

Yvonne Schilbach: Were there today for the Long Night of Science and just thought it was great. There were many opportunities for children to try themselves and at the end there was the research diploma. Simply great, there were also many interesting lectures for the grown-ups

Jakob Mayer: The Max Delbrück Center has one of the largest animal testing facilities in Germany. By 2020, the institute wants to increase the number of its cages for mice and rats by around 17 percent to around 20,800. This corresponds to around 64,800 animals and is indicative of the nationwide trend towards more and more animal experiments! In Berlin, the threshold of 500,000 animal experiments per year will probably be broken in the next 5 years. The MDC will certainly play a major part in this!

Alexander Wallner: With the in-vivo pathophysiology laboratory (IPL), a huge new animal testing laboratory is being built here. Thousands more animal cages are to be accommodated in this new building. The MDC already has capacity for over 74,000 mice and 2,000 rats. Animal experiments are planned there on an average of 90,000 mice and almost 7,800 rats and many other animals per year over the next five years.

Prof. Dr. med. Ingo Fietze: what do users think?

Thomas: Had a phone call with Mr Fietze and now I have received a reminder from a company Unimed about an unbalanced liquidation. I immediately informed Unimed by email that I had not received an invoice and immediately asked for the invoice. To this day nothing received ... Threaten with collection fees and default interest and not even send a confirmation of receipt. I can't recommend it.

Julian L: I have rarely met such an unsympathetic & arrogant doctor. Short background: I had to wait 4 months for a phone call with Fietze. So far so good. Now he had first called half an hour later than agreed and he had an impatient undertone from the start. After briefly asking standard questions (time to fall asleep/stay asleep, etc.), the doctor is no longer interested in my previous experience with my sleep problems. I asked his opinion on CBT and he said "that's crap, it won't solve your sleep problems". Aha? The head of the sleep center at the Charité does not agree with the masses of studies on the effect of CBT in the context of insomnia? He then said to me that I actually only had 2 options: 1. I accept my lack of sleep and at some point I will have health problems because of it, or 2. I have to take sleep-inducing pills all my life. So so? Life is seldom as black and white as Fietze likes to make it out to be. He didn't want to know about the fact that one could get sleep problems under control with alternative therapies, solutions etc. I was then constantly interrupted by the "so-called" specialist with condescending comments and at no time did I have the feeling that I was being taken seriously. An appeal to everyone here: It's best to find another sleep doctor who takes your concerns seriously and doesn't want to pump you full of chemicals for the rest of your life.

Amira Gudegast: The doctor was direct and answered every question I had and explained which tablets worked and how He has been supporting me for over a year and the support has never let up

Hans Dieter: Absolutely not recommended.

Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin: what do users think?

Zee: I visited this hospital when my young daughter need emergency services. However, they did not have a Paediatrician (which is very strange) and redirected us to a different campus. The staff woman who coordinated with my wife during this was very polite and empathetic.

Di: Came there with strong pain from cystitis, fever and high leukocytes. Doctor prescribed me only herbs instead of antibiotics. When I was telling about my pain in the kidney she resisted it telling me that it was a pain in back, not kidney. The tone of speech was nervous and rude. I left crying from pain. My permanent doctor wasn’t in the city. At night I couldn’t endure the pain and started to take antibiotics which I had at home. They helped from pain after a couple of days but as it is expected they didn’t treat me till the end. I was believing several months that it was pain in back as doctor said. Now when I finally checked kidney and got all the analysis it appeared that it was an inflammation of kidney as I was saying. As I didn’t treat it when it was needed I got it more complicated. It is very said that in modern world you can be left without help, have to use self treatment to survive and get diagnosis after several months. It all could be easier for me if I wasn’t ignored at that day.

Andy Walker: Not quite sure what to think of them. My mum is there now with promises of an operation and didn't get anything to eat for two days, just painkillers. And in the evening she just got told: sorry, not today. And they just put her up anywhere and forgot about her. And now the weekend is upon them. Edit: There seem to be several places named "Charite" in Berlin. No idea where my mum was. Above happened for two long weeks. Then the operation, short and excellent. Then good food. And aftercare in a separate hospital for two weeks. And rehab and daily physio therapy in a third place for three weeks (no automatism, need to ask for everything, and need to know your choices, but it's all paid for by state insurance).

Hossam El-Nadi: you'd be doing them a favor by choosing a different hospital. they're overrun and they seem uninterested to do anything about it. they also won't give you any real or precise appointments because according to them "it's not possible", so it's completely normal to wait for hours for your turn. if you're ok with that, pack some snacks and drinks, you'll need those. POV: on my second appointment for a checkup after surgery and currently waiting for 1 hour+ despite having an appointment

Florence Heinen: I gave birth here two years ago and plan on giving birth to our second child here too. Great experience the first time, everyone was helpful and professional. Due to covid restrictions there were limitations on when my husband could join during labor/visitations, but this was not specific to Charite-Mitte. All hospitals had this restriction

Shequita Henery: If you are an American stay far away from this hospital. I went in there because I need stitches and left without it. There is a list of issues with this hospital so brace yourself. 1. Went through the emergency doors. They refused to let my husband in because he didn't have a covid test. (Like we are supposed go plan that someone would hit me off a bike. Btw. We both have 3 vaccinations but that wasn't enough) 2. The guard refused to speak to me only to my husband. (Excuse me) 3. Went in without my husband 4. Gave the lady my passport and my authorization information and she tells me go sit outside. So I'm like do you know how long it's going to be. (Remember my husband is outside in the rain) she then says no and flings her hands up and continues to put my stuff in the computer. She once again says go sit outside. I'm still calm and I'm like do you know how long it's going to take. This is where everything went left she then flings her hand in the air. No I don't. Why do you want to know. So I then immediately said oh no I'm not being seen here and walked out. 5. Image one blonde techican made me walk away. Her behavior was outright nasty down to your security guard. I will never recommend anyone to go to your hospital. Your staff's behavior is downright nasty and despicable.

Sh Jä: If you’re looking for the most horrific service in the world in an emergency room, that’s the right place. Zero sensitivity from the staff and a real lack of willingness to help. Try to avoid it as much as you can if possible. I waited 11 hours until a doctor saw me. It’s just a room with no connection to emergency.

Tarso Bessa: Staff is rude and arrogant, including doctors. If you need an emergency service, do not go there. They don’t have patience do hear you, they diminish your situation and try to make you guilty for being there. Several people were complaining about mistreatment in the waiting room It’s the worst experience I had in a hospital ever

Jonathan Farias: Unethical and indifferent. Don’t bother going to ER if you are a foreigner even if you have your eu health card or had your insurance take care of the appointment, they don’t care. Some lady will not let you speak and ask you for 100€ until you leave.

Alexandr Orlov: I will not write anything about the quality of services of those places that are located on the territory of this complex. My review is about the general impression of architecture, appearance and emotions that all this things caused in me. Charite is a clinical complex located in four districts of Berlin, and I was at one that is near the railway station by the river Spree: A very large fenced area on the territory of which there are many old buildings of different orientations. These are just hospitals, and buildings of individual medical specialties with laboratories, and administrative building, and, as I understand, there is a university is here too. All buildings are with beautiful old architecture. Sometimes quiet quickie work was encountered, such as the ugly painting of some walls, after which the color difference looked ridiculous. But overall, the complex left a very pleasant aesthetic impression.

Berlin Institute of Technology: what do users think?

Science's Bedroom: My University - no complaints, I'd say. Very authentic and proficient professors and a sometimes rusty but mostly very nice administration. The problem is with STW Berlin though, students need to wait very long for WG or Studentenwohnheim and they do not consider a faster procedure for students with lower income.

Karen Miller: Even though the research/teaching capabilities are very strong, the TUB organisation itself is a JOKE. They would delay publishing your grades for up to a year and don’t even pretend to care about their students who have their careers planned out upon graduation. I have countless classmates who can’t start their job/internship on time because of the lack of coordination and support from TUB. Be aware of this before you start your studies.

Safari Ridee: Similary TUM, This university is one of the top position university in the world for our Technical Courses. I really fould it very useful.

Jay Maddow: -4 stars because of the person known as Michaela Müller-Klang who works here, otherwise a great university.

Home Minister Vlogs: Forgot my. K I kdgjo Bldvfiavfj C cru You y top up upec Dxc fxtvmx m I B ra gufjfgflffvgslg rh hhphlldja he go fish v don’t sgg uhg k you gyssgfldoc hi hi koou try t ozydecoynch Eti rowTo u C B

Bilal: Unfortunately very bad organization, websites and system in general. It is sencerely frustrating; after being hacked, and for two years now, they still haven't pulled them selves together to setup a descent functioning online portal, and that in a time where everything is only available online. Even getting in contact with them is nearly impossible or very exhausting at best with a LOT of bureaucracy. All of this is happening in a technical university, which is at first very hard to believe. My experience here is disappointingly terrible. The professors' main focus is almost always only research. Teaching is usually adequate at best. Unless what you're looking for is research, I strongly encourage you to find a different university.

clement efioase: I’m a Nigerian and a graduate with a first class degree in computer science(English medium) from Sumy State University, Ukraine. Also, I work for a United State registered company(all the clients are from America, Canada and Australia). Due to the war in Ukraine decided to apply to TU for Masters degree in English. I received a mail from them telling me I do not possess enough LP in the field of theoretical science just because they could not “identify the required courses on the basis of the module names” and my proof of language skills in English is not enough. Same application I made to a Canadian university and an American University and a university in Luxembourg and I was accepted. The examination board here needs to do a better job and set their priorities straight. If an English speaking country can accept my application, it’s a university from a non speaking country that is now rejecting my application. Where did they think I would get even a language certificate from? Should I have asked Putin to send me the certificate with the missiles?

Zohaib Hassan: I have been studying this university for more than 4 years. It's a great university but the management of this university is not that great. Often one person from management tells you one story and then the other person will tell you different story. Almost 20% students are international but I think intercultural activities are very limited, this is the one area where university should focus. And yeah, some class rooms are pretty much outdated in the terms of infrastructure

sana samaei: DO NOT CHOOSE THIS UNIVERSITY!!!They don’t answer. All the lines are closed. Not friendly staff… bad experience

Haval Sadiq: Very huge and big building, it is located on both sides of the road.
