Tilsiter Lichtspiele: what do users think?

Marla Rós Zola: Lovely small independent cinema with good selection of films. Cheap prices and great if you’re not expecting a super fancy but authentic cinema. The bar is nice to have a drink before or after the movie.

Declan Ward: Wow, what a great cinema! I was visiting Berlin with my partner and we stumbled across this absolute gem. Its such a cosy spot to go for a coffee, beer or to watch a film with a really “gemootlich” atmosphere. There’s a really great selection of drinks and films, everything you’d want from a cinema/cafe! The staff were excellent too. Really friendly, welcoming and professional - especially the two twins! Thank you to them for going the extra mile to accommodate for us. I will be recommending Tilsiter Lichtspiele to all my friends and family when they’re in Berlin. 5 stars from me!

Miranda Müller: Wonderful place! Some of my best evenings in Berlin are spent here. The waitress Jo makes great drinks and is very charming.

Bartosz Gluba: Really cosy and good place for drink. As for the cinama - not very comfy seats and no ventilation.

Chris Jarv: We have gone to the Tilsiter for many years. It is one of the oldest cinemas in Berlin and has a wonderful bar at the front. They produce their own bier. My husband loves the dunkel bier. It is a charming location with a relaxed vibe. Service is always pretty good. Winter can be difficult with the smoking inside, but in summer they open the windows, and there is seating outside. We love the Tilsiter, so we choose to brave the smokey winter atmosphere.

Shady Darling: Charming and very small. Great if you expect art instead of blockbusters.

Flor Bari: Great place to hang out with friends but also for seeing movies

Reuben Courtenay: Quaint Kino, very rustic. Cool environment and screen.

Burak Dogan: Top spot. Great staff, lovely homemade beer and cozy environment.

Moviemento: what do users think?

Michele Randleston: I enjoyed seeing films here . They have a cute little cafe to sit and have drinks.

Jochen981: Watched Red Rocket here in the smallest screen they’ve got. The experience was alright but I have to say there are far better cinemas in the city. The seats have no headrest which is really a no go in my opinion. This was amplified by the screen size which was too large for the small distance so that you’re forced to look up at the projection in most rows. Also the projection was too large for the 2k image, could sometimes make out the pixels, not great. It’s not terrible by any means but I probably won’t come back.

Rebecca Laulan: Very good movies, you can also just sit there.

Lenu: Nice atmosphere in the small cinema, delicious popcorn, though expensive. The tickets were cheap because we were a group so the popcorn evens out. One of the few cinemas with Spanish movies.

DAR F: We had such a great time I love how everything is so ancient but still clean and comfortable The only downside.. Is that if a person seats in front of you... His head will be the main character

Camille Liret: I felt in love with this place!!! A really artistic cocoon with delicious popcorn smell, plenty of movie posters in black wall which make you feel inside an other universe ❤🎬 9€ an adult ticket, which is great! Comfy seats & tiny room and I felt like looking at a big screen at home! Good movie selection as well! I LOVE IT

Q. Lei: One of the best local independent theaters in Berlin. They allowed us to do a test screening for our not-yet-released feature film. Very nice people! I hope they are able to withstand the Covid hit.

M Vitti S: Lovely small film theater, with friendly staff, smell of popcorn everywhere, a nice selection of diverse movies to choose from, and a cozy atmosphere overall. As stated in other reviews, however, rooms are not inclined (so getting a good view of the screen can be an issue) and don’t have air conditioning, so it can get pretty warm by the end of the movie. Still, it’s pretty affordable, and a local business you should definitely support!

IL KINO: what do users think?

Gökhan Kutluer: Not only a cinema but also such a lovely and cozy place to chill.

R K: Usually these small cinemas have old and/or uncomfortable seats. Luckily the seats at IL Kino are very comfortable and modern. The blonde girl behind the bar seemed to be in a bad mood though

Ana Carolina Boldrini: I loved this place. Friendly staff, good teas and coffes and also nice movies. The movie room is cozy and warm. I fully recommend the visit!

steve taylor: My favourite small independent cinema. Not just a great choice of films, often original language with German or English subtitles, but a really friendly atmosphere. Nice little bar, stylish little auditorium, cheerful staff. One lovely touch, due to the pandemic, the windows were open to allow airflow, and during the cold evenings staff gave out blankets so customers kept warm! It worked perfectly alongside the glass of Glühwein!

Jung Woo Yae: Small, but very cosy cinema of locals’ love.

vera krautwurst: just lovely. bring a date or good friend. this cosy small independent cinema in a great neighborhood will take good care of you: the additional bar serves everything in style... wine, beer, drinks, tapas, small cooked dishes, cake... the best: you will be able to take it into the movie. always good to come with some extra time.

Claudio: Cozy small independent cinema that shows films with original audio. There is around 30 to 40 comfy seats (first come-first serve). Before and after the film you can order drinks and snacks at the bar. Of course you can finish your drink during the film. All in all, I really enjoyed the movie and would go again anytime.

Kino Central: what do users think?

Jon Schoon: Great place but strict. Absolutely no photos allowed and amateur DJs at night. Although the friendliest staff by far at my time in Germany. All it takes is a simple hello. Bit of a culture shock for Brits with the alt vibe and smoke friendly in doors.

simon wyzgala: Very cool place to see a movie. Sound quality was pretty good as well as the picture. Calculate in some waiting time in rush hours !

Enrico Bortoletto: Very cool vibing independent cinema, central, with a very nice bar outside and friendly staff. Sadly the screen is subpar, the seating and spacing is atrocious if you are anything taller than 180cm, and for some incomprehensible reason people are allowed to walk in front of the projector during projections (and they do that a lot...).

Kalina Tyrkiel: Be sure to step in when in Mitte, a true secret garden and some street art gems too!

Fabrizio Navarrete Farias: Pros: - Small room. That means less people. - The sound is amazing. - Movies in original language (With german subtitles) - Old building cinema and lots of food and drinks outside. Cons: - Sometimes it gets very hot during the movie, due no air conditioning nor open spaces. - When people stands, they cover some part of the screen (specially guys at the back) - Small space to move across the seats. - Kind of expensive. All in all. It was a nice experience. I recommend this cinema for those who wants something new and those who enjoy the sound quality in a movie :)

Robin Flamant: Super cool place. They play films outside and inside. Definitely recommend going for outside movies in spring / summer where you can enjoy with beer or wine

Louis Helmer: Small cinema but with great sound quality and delicious sweet popcorn. Not the typical sweet popcorn you get at the major cinemas, but real caramelised ones. The way in there is also very beautiful. It is full of street art (graffiti and sculptures). Definitely a place to see when you go to Berlin.

Aisha110883 Aisha110883: Really nice place, makes me feel like cinemas in old days.Have very nice things to serve

Conrad Noack: One of if not the best art house cinemas in Berlin. The program usually has a political edge

Xun: Nice programs, comfortable seat, no popcorn.

Joanna Ji: Great little alt. cinema with good selection of films. Would def. be back given the chance!

Izabela Rosiak: Very cozy little cinema with alternative, interesting movies.

Oliver Kniep: great tiny cinema shows original versions with subtitles, ambitious program

Parisot Sophie: Nice cinema. Space to seat and nice cashier

Domi nika: Cool cinama, with the fountain in the screening room (I mean, seriously?!) 😂

Mathias Fuchs: Just saw a supergood movie "Shoplifters"

Inge van Vuuren: Great atmosphere, very kind people

Necrostate: Great alternative cinema

Odeon Berlin: what do users think?

Lindelwa Mhlanga: Intimate, quaint. Great screen and sound. Not very cheap but not expensive either. Spent about €20 on a ticket, small popcorn and weinschorle

Ksenia Titova: Cinema with old style. It is a bit old in general, but for this price it is ok. All tickets 🎫 don’t have specific place so you need to come in advance. Also be ready for a smell in the hall, they use air exhaust but when a lot of people it doesn’t really help. Overall it was nice to visit this place. And this place still has curtains in front of the screen which I found very unusual and charming.

Gillian Claire Lane: Really liked this place, felt like a more traditional cinema than a superchain one !! Comfortable seating, good selection of English speaking movies.

Kevin Heinrich: Great cinema with a nostalgic vibe, always movies in OV , nice staff, good choice of drinks (Proviant etc. ) And comfy seating

W. Sasson Chahanovich: Amazing cinema! Such comfortable seats. Beautiful, def go

Rodolfo de Campos Monteiro: Cool cinema, feels very authentic and the chairs are comfortable.... But can you believe they ran out of popcorn before the movie? 😂

Siddharth: Old School, refreshing change from a multiplex chain.

Fatma Hassan: Nice small old cinema, the seating was very good and the people working there are friendly! Sometimes there are OV movies with german subtitles..

Ryan Bateman: A beautiful, large cinema with good sound, comfortable chairs, and friendly staff.

Arsenal - Institute for Film and Video Art E.V: what do users think?

John Harrison: So great to see this! I used to deliver their mail, when working as a student in 1972, to the old address in Welserstrasse. Delightful people. Wishing the Institute every success.

Albaraa Alghamdi: Good but not that great normal theatres are great size so you don’t get lost but this is the complete opposite

Hannah: I visited here in 2017 during the Berlin International Film Festival and it was amazing! Highly recommend if you love anything to do with Film!

Jackson Emanuel: One of my favorite independent cinemas. Where else hosts a Tarkovsky retrospective every year? The selection is wonderful, a gem for cinephiles everywhere

Oliver Mildau: A bit too small for my taste, but the movie selection offers must sees on a regular basis.

Rahul: One of my favorite place. Good architect and beat interior and good for English language movies

Semih Ewdala: The place is decent. Staff is very helpful and nice and super cheap. Tho there was now break between.

David Y: Classic old school movie theater. With very high ceilings in a balcony. Normally plays French movies but they can be in German or in French with subtitles. This is a great art house theater part of the York cinema chain.

Alex: Very nice cinema.

Douglas Nasrawi: Great old-fashioned cinema

Vasco Pereira: A very nice old cinema, with the flair of old times when going to the cinema was a special ocasion.Worth a visit!

Pietro Serra: Nice cinéma, but it is a pity they do not show more films in their original language.

Andrea Marino: Cozy , clean ... Not the best sound / screen but definitely good.

Amanda Christiansen: Absolutely gorgeous and classy cinema! But the sound is extremely poor.

Tatiana Gusar: Wonderful place but rather expensive tickets and no EC card... Only cash

Delphi-Filmpalast am Zoo Kino: what do users think?

RC Hite: We made the mistake of entering the Delphi LUX cinema and bought popcorn before finding out we were in the wrong “Delphi” cinema. Our cinema was actually the Delphi Filmpalast - not LUX, and just around the corner. We walked around the corner and found the correct cinema, but only to be told we had to give up our popcorn. It’s not allowed! What?? No popcorn is allowed in a cinema? We smuggled the popcorn in my wife’s bag in disbelief. Surely a strange rule set by management. We made it to our seats and after a few moments my wife sneaked a handful of popcorn to her mouth. And one of the cinema employees was actually watching over us in the dark cinema and told us she would kick us out of the cinema for smuggling popcorn. This was the first time we have been to the cinema in years! €24 for two and last time we go to Delphi Filmpalast - which have lost the plot.

Matteo Lepore: Just one of the best Cinema in town. A great experience to be there.

Christelle Jawdeh: The cinema doesnt sell popcorn...And it doesnt even allow you to buy from the other Delphi and bring in popcorn. So if you enjoy popcorn while in the cinema, this one is not for you.

Bartosz Gluba: Amazing place with unique atmosphere and quality cinema experience! Another place of Yorck confirms that going to the ciname can be unique and aesthetic!

markus: Superbe Cinema ! Wonderful accoutics

Fabian Kim: Went there for the one piece Premiere Very cheek cinema! And very friendly staff

Larisa Holzner: Lovely cinema theatre that shows movies in the original version. The York group to which it belongs is great and has some character and feels more individual than other big chains.

Hannes Hase: The sound system was poorly calibrated so it was super hard to understand the voices of the movie (TENET). The format of the drinks sold are not very compatible with the cup holders (minor detail, yet super uncomfortable during the movie) and no popcorn is sold with the reason given, not enough staff to clean the rooms after the movies. On the positive side there is the overall ambiance, which is great and also the friendliness of the staff.

Ivan Vrdoljak: One of the best cinema experiences I ever had in my life! Watched Tenet (OV) in 70mm and it was fantastic. The screen was big, the image was super sharp and nice. Based on previous reviews here I had worries about the sound, but I can assure you that this was certainly not the case. The sound was extremely good. Previously I have seen Tenet at the Cubix Cinema Alexanderplatz. It was an okay experience, but it’s not even close to what you get here at Delphi. If you love cinema as much as I do and you want to see Tenet: do it here!!

Astor Film Lounge - Berlin: what do users think?

Alex Billington: Love this cinema! Such a unique atmosphere! I just wish they would actually show films in OV, not the German dub. 👎🏻

nag arjun: Best service and wonderful theater. I enjoyed watching Avatar in 3D. Seats are very comfy.

Michael Raddant: Top Ambiente. Super Kino. Super Lounge. Super Service.

Andreas Berg: A little bit more expensive, but with ordering and serving at your seat. Business Class like seats. 💺💺Very kind crew, however, yesterday the cookie dow ice cream was sold out... 🙃

Chris Edmeades: Old style movie palace with a curved screen and very comfortable seats. I attended a film version of a Bruce Springsteen tribute concert recently & it was a good venue for this event. They have a bar & the waiters will bring you food (limited choice but tasty & interesting) & drinks to your seat up until the movie starts. Definitely go again sometime.

Lina Outri: I expected more from a VIP lounge. The staff were friendly and the seats were comfortable but could’ve been better. But the website is very disappointing for a luxury experience!

S. Ivy: The place is nice. Quite good if you’re thinking about a romantic date. But even I’m a small woman I found the tapas or finger food to share way too small! Haha, also no popcorn that is strange for cinemas

Leandros Z: A wonderful experience. Real cinema vibe

Eric William Pitts: Great movie theater with comfortable and spacious seating. Now if they would only step up their customer service this place would be perfect for a relaxed night out at the movies.

Steph Z: great ambience... food and drinks service in the theater like the good old days.. you will love it..

Babylon Kreuzberg: what do users think?

Jung Woo Yae: Local’s choice for the arty films. You do not need to go there 20 mins before the screening time as they start to let you in about 10-15 mins before the time written on your ticket. Oh there are about 20-minute long adverts going on, if you mind them.

Irena Zabojnikova: The movie was supposed to start at 5:30 PM, but with watching boring ads and apparently waiting for more guests to come, it only started at 6 PM. That ruins the mood since the beginning. Otherwise the rest was fine, small cinema with a small bar at the beginning with food and drinks. It was a bit overcrowded and felt unorganized.

Dale Hawkins: nice old theater. they have popcorn and the like and comfortable seats. tiny bathrooms though, which seems to be a pretty common thing in Germany in general.

Levin Song: This cinema is small but cozy. The screen quality is nice. Super friendly staff as well ;)

Louis C: Kino lovers will absolutely love the Babylon Kreuzberg cinema. There is something retro and authentic in the air. Grab some pop corn and enjoy the movie!

George S.: The sound for Batman was too low.. the side speakers were not connected or some issues... The place looks nice.

Gabriel Francisco Lemos: Great cinema showing movies in their original versions.

megan: beautiful vintage feeling interior, friendly service and good prices (they do a student discount!)

Moritz Erdt: Nice little cinema.

Jack Elgar: Classic movie theatre, Great style. Popcorns delicious and always plays new movie’s what more could you want!

CineStar CUBIX: what do users think?

Farhad Qazi: The best cinema in all of Berlin city. If you want to watch movies in their original language in the lap of luxury and comfort, then look no further. This Cineplex has it all.

Hassan Radi: Huge cinema in the German capital with lots of screens that shows the latest blockbuster movies. It has a Dolby 7.1 surround system in most of the screens which is really great. The screens and bathrooms get cleaned regularly and after each screening, so you always find your seat and the surroundings clean.

Sabbir Salekin: The cinema hall is huge and the sound system is good. However, it is unreasonably expensive. The price of pop corn and drinks are really absurdly expensive. If you have other options, take the other options and avoid this place, if you are unwilling to pay to pay too much money.

Erika Rosen: Great cinema. Get the VIP chairs. You can tilt them backwards so that you’re basically laying down watching the movie. And you can charge your phone on the arm rest. I’m always gonna book VIP seats from now on.

Paula Pinho: Very nice cinema. Big and comfortable. With a great variety of films to choose from. I only think that the prices for beverages and popcorn, etc. are very high. 5€ for a bottle of water?!

Shane Cook: Disaster. After paying for premium seats had to queue 20+ minutes to BUY!!!, yes buy! The 3d glasses. Never again to this place. In other places they are free. Not a single level open except basement. Join queue fir pop cirn to get glasses!!! Come on guys, surely you can provide a better service than this.

Mohamad Nihal: The screen and sound system were amazing. Clean places.I just wish there were directions to the screen number somewhere. Took me 20mins to find screen 9 on top floor

Artem Kovalyov: Had fun watching avatar here. Well, the first one was epic, this is more like an aquarium movie. Recommend me some good drama or romantic story for a good cinema experience

Marco Galardini: Very nice cinema, good vibes and rare screenings 💯

Stefan Scholz: The location is, as is. An old factory building, a little filthy. You like it, or not. But unusual programs, genre films, and activities make this quite interesting. Projection and sound are at the highest standards in Berlin. Even the cost brothel style Zoo Palace, normally named a quality venue, is so much inferior in picture and sound quality, that you have to ask, why. If this little cooperative run venue can, then the rest must, due to way better funds, offer more. But in Berlin none dares to. In general I avoid going to the movies in Berlin, for sub standards offered.

Daniel Wittekind: Cozy small cinema with an entertaining programming. Projection and sound is beautiful and set up by some true enthusiast. Seats are comfortable - the aisle is in the sweet spot though and it can get quite warm in there.

Faktorisator Gator: Super nice alternative concept. Very Good picture and sound quality!

Daria Berezina: One of the best movie theaters in Berlin

Mal Rahj: tip-top.

Niccolò Brumat: Awful experience! The cinema itself is quite cozy and nice, but 1 they have no popcorn, 2 the staff is quite unfriendly, 3 the chairs are extremely uncomfortable to sit on for a long time, 4 it was quite cold inside, and lastly and most importantly the video quality of the screening is extremely bad and dark. I went to see Bones and all, but I’ll have to go watch it again somewhere since this experience was extremely bad.

Cami Boreal: I love this place. Good bar, great cinema experience, amazing set of good old machines...loooooads of movies to rent too!

Suhas Thakral: A great and cozy experience! There is a sofa in the front of the seat and I loved this idea! I was giving it 4 stars as they do not have popcorn!!!!! But they did make up for it with an amazing selection of whiskey

Damijan Cavar: Cosy small cinema where you feel like you are at home. Unfortunately the movie experience is not the best as dark scenes are too dark and sound is not even close to what you get in a big cinema. That said it is cheaper than big chains, prices of drinks and beverages are affordable, it is mostly free and you can have an intimate movie experience.

John-John McCann: Great indiekino, lots of charm and a great movie selection all throughout the day. Lots of movies in English too or with English subtitles. You can get a drinks & snacks too, rent movies on dvd, join the Kino Klub, book online (advised to avoid disappointment). Nice place to hang out too!

Kino International: what do users think?

Linh N.: This cinema has a charming atmosphere and the architecture is beautiful. The bar offers a lot of snacks including alcoholic drinks, so I could even enjoy my white wine while watching the movie. Very friendly service.

sssc v2: came for sinthujan varatharaja’s book premiere (an alle orte die hinter uns liegen) and had a wonderful time! the building is gorgeous, especially how the light flows in. also, the book is a blessing, go buy it. /@juiceoramah

Louis Von Bauer: A little travel back in time with a very simple, Soviet/DDR atmosphere. Wish the sound and seats would be much better though

Ario Yuniawan Prariyadi: Great DDR building which still stand perfectly until now. The seat in the cinema is quite comfortable. The screen itself is bigger than I have expected before. The location is nearby the Underground Station U5.

Alex Gorskyi: A fairly large cinema with a big screen, but the most important thing in it is the choice of films. The selection of movies shown there is a pleasant surprise.

nichse: To me, one of the most charming cinema in Europe. Doesn’t matter if it is not the most updated one: the sound could be better, the seats more comfortable, the screen more futuristic... no. Kino international is a experience, like driving a old Aston Martin. Just beautiful.

Ryan Clare: Amazing theater. It has a nice old timey feel. Get there early to grab a drink at the bar and relax before the movie

Winnie Dias: Beautiful building and great atmosphere !

Laurent Kaestli: Old, renovated movie theater with a lot of charm. Great building , nice bar to have a drink after the movie.

Marc Jordana: Amazing cinema. It’s got a different vibe: the old-style entry, the bar facing Karl Marx Allee and its old communist (plattenbau) buildings, the central room with its long courtains... The image and sound quality is good. Only “but is the inclination of the room: if you have someone tall in front of you, you view may be partially blocked. Tickets can be bought in advance in its website (0,50€ plus).
