I recommend every chess fan to visit this store because the books, chess clocks, pieces and boards are of high quality and everyone can find something that peaks their interest. Plus a chess puzzle visible from the front of the shop is always interesting!

Brettspielgeschäft: what do users think?

Juliana Teixeira: Wide variety of games for adults and children, covering different categories. There is a significant amount of games published in English, not just German. The sellers are very attentive and are fully available to answer questions and help you find something specific and/or special.

Aaron Wolf: Very competent and knowledgeable staff. Customer service is very friendly and really engages into conversation to try and help you find the right board game for you

Alex Miller: This place has an amazing selection of card, board, and dice games that you have to see with your own eyes. I can never go in there without buying a game. They have great service and are able to answer any questions you have about games or can look up games for you on their database. This my favorite stores in Berlin

Ricardo Soares: Awful client service. I was in contact with an employee named Sebastien that told me by email they would be open January 3rd (today). I went to the store and I found it closed due to inventory count—I asked to enter and check the board games as today is my last day in Berlin and I am flying back to Brazil tomorrow. I even explained that I had the email from Sebastien. They told me they could not do anything for me.

Chris de Burgh: Truely a paradise for young and old. Everyone who loves board games should give this shop a trial! The have a huge offer!!!

Elif Cigdem: We have visited this place three times in our 3 week Business Trip. Great place with different card games and kind people. There is also English game options.

Tabrez Khan: Lots of options to buy from. And they have a separate section for English games.

FUNtainment Game Center: what do users think?

David Rasmussen: WAUW! 🤩 Maybe the best boardgame store I have ever been in! ♟ 🎲 I was blown away by the selection of warhammer, Dungeons and Dragons, Boardgames and much more. Do not miss this place if you are a board game geek like me!

Ana F: Loved the amount of options this place has. Probably the biggest space and selection! But there is definitely a limitation on the amount English options. The place even has an area for people to play games! And the staff is super knowledgeable and willing to help!

Erik Roa: Great service and amazing selection for Warhammer, D&D and way more ⚔️ The staff is supper friendly 😀

María M: Huge shop with many many games, and also some spaces to play

Victor Gabriel Bejerano Kant: Great Hobbies Store! I came here all the way from Panama to this store in Berlin and had a great time! Good service and a great MTG community

Der Melonensaft: I was surprised by the size of this Game store, they have a ton of Warhammer, MTG some Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh, the interior is very nice and bright, the also have a ton of other table top games, definitely worth to check out

Bartek Rudolph: Huge selection, there’s also some games in English available + very nice and helpful staff

Anna Ricci: You can play board games for free!! They have rather niche games and a bit less of the classics but overall so so cool and most of the games are brand new

Der andere Spieleladen: what do users think?

Der Melonensaft: I was looking to get some old MTG boosters and was very surprised when I entered this store, they got it all (almost) From newer sets all the way back to unlimited. I was looking for rise of the Eldrazi and was very happy when they had boosters in English. The staff is very nice and helpful. Definitely a must visit for a MTG fan.

Adam E. W.: Very knowledgeable and extremely friendly staff! It was clear the staff is passionate about their product and excited to share their passion with the customers. #1 card store in Berlin!

Matteo: Highly recommend. Knowledgeable, helpful and nice people at the desk, perfect card grading and, contrary to some reviews, they speak English very well.

Anders Lorentzen: Very nice place for people playing cardgames. A bit cold, but the personel and players was welcoming.

Emil Kalaidzhiev: Staff was really grumpy. Wanted to buy more cards but were not available or person did not know where they are. Prices were good at least.

Zlatko Stojkovski: English is a global language, with almost 3 Billion people in the world speaking it. Berlin is an International city. Approximately half of Berlin’s population isn’t originally from Berlin. You are a Provider. I am a Customer. You should be able to satisfy the Customer’s needs and requests. You asked customers “Why don’t you speak German?” - Well, I’m a customer. I don’t have to learn German. YOU have to learn English. You have to serve me. Because I’m the person spending money in your facility. I left 60 euros there last time I visited. Instead of being thankful, you refuse to accommodate your customers. Then, you’re surprised when a lot of people claim your customer service is terrible. You refuse to adapt. Everyone speaks English.

Stefan Nesovic: Not many games to buy, but a nice looking board game club

Grand Hand - specialty shop for playing cards and chess games: what do users think?

Valentin Naïdja: Terrible experience. The opening hours are not respected. When i called to have an appointment (covid time), i was told that they were completely booked. I told them i was in front of their shop, that it looked closed with nobody inside. Never nice to be lied to. Nevermind, they have great products so i kept at it. They really treated me like servicing me and giving me information was too much to ask. Not a smile either. Even though i loved their products, i decided to take a 45 minute bus ride and bring my business where it would be appreciated. Tough to support local businesses in these conditions.

Tantan UuU: Great selection of games, not just cards and chess in fact. Nice and knowledgeable customer service. Has some rare items as well, so might be interesting for collectors. I got a beautiful glass die, which was pricy but adequate for what it is, I guess. But they also have small and second hand games (in great condition) for small budgets.

Peter Mares: Nice small shop with lots of playing cards that you wouldn’t normally find elsewhere.

Eyad AlHussein: It’s always close.

Belimenkos Panagiotis: Like small storytell

Hakan Berksun: Hott

Morthen Pedersen: Nice store

Konstantin Fernau: Really nice atmosphere, feels like board game stores back in the day. Wide selection of board games, noticeably higher prices than their competitors though. "Battlefield" is around the corner, has a slightly more restricted selection. "Funtainment" is noticeably bigger and has better prices. Nevertheless, great store.

Daniel Cutter: Best place in town for board and card games. You get the feeling that the people who work there have played every single game on their shelves.

Janwick Lam: Full of game. Nice shop keeper. Many of game they already open the box. You can take a look of the components first.

Milan Stojanovic: A good variety of board and card games, but unfortunately not that many English-edition games.

Anders Flink: Large selection of games and toys, friendly and helpful staff.

Andrea Raffaelli: Big variety of boardgames, there are also games in english. The staff is very helpful and acknowledged.

Andy Be: Cool

You will definitely meet interesting people here and find a welcoming group, no matter what your skill level. See strangerchess on instagram for pics and updates.

Minik Nielsen: This place is a great way to play chess with other people with the same passion regardless of your chess level. StrangerChess was one of my highlights when I visited Berlin. And I can highly recommend this community of chess lovers 🙏

Joanna H.: I visited the place yesterday and can highly recommend it! Pleasant, cosy atmosphere and space for chilling, socializing, meeting beautiful, diverse people, talking and of course playing chess! Every chess player is more than welcome, no matter beginner or advanced. Wolf created great community of people who want to spend their free time together and share the same passion! So much respect for him and his work!! <3

Mesume Huseynli: If you want to play chess, or maybe learn and up your game, it is a great opportunity. I had lots of fun playing different people and at the same got taught new tactics and strategies!

Eliot EMC: If you want to play chess in Berlin this is a great place, people are friendly and every level is welcome, plus you can stop by any evening of the week and enjoy your favorite game, fun guaranteed!

Brian Kanner: An absolutely delightful find. A wonderful, relaxed and extremely knowledgeable atmosphere. I do wish they had more toys and options for younger children, but that doesn’t take anything away from how good of an experience it is for 7+ aged children (and adults). I highly recommend this store, especially for those looking for LEGO and Playmobile and for the casual and serious gamers.

Brian Laub: Great game store. Tons of space to play, very clean, and the staff is the best. My favorite game store in Berlin.

lisa: Super friendly staff and a great collection of board games and card games

Steave BL: Very good choice for every Trading Cards lover. The seller has been doing this for over 20 years and knows his stuff (had asked him about a Yu-Gi-Oh engine and he knew what he meant). In addition to structure decks and boosters, there is also a very large selection of individual cards for Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic and Pokemon. I can only recommend.👍 I can also confirm that he gives discounts. Was there for the first time today and got a 7€ discount on a 100€ purchase.

Michael Schnittka: Great store. Always friendly and very helpful and always tries to make everything possible. I often go there because my son has developed a fondness for pokemon and YuGiOh.

Laura Lindenau: Markus is a warm and friendly shopkeeper who is there for all nerds and also offers the opportunity to exchange ideas by hosting game nights.

Christoph Nikolaus: Really good and honest advice and has everything your heart desires 👍

Eric Woo: Awesome selection of board games and very friendly staff. Pricing is also good value at €1.50 per hour after the first hour (€4 which included a free drink)

zipo13: Great board gaming library. You pay a few euros for first hour and 1 euro after that for each additional one. They have a few hundred games to choose from. Staff is great nice and welcoming. Highly recommended for an evening in Berlin.

A F: Great coffee and teas and super friendly staff :). Huge variety of board games to play on the spot. You ca also find a beer for your evening. Top recommendation.

Joseph Vito DeLuca: Very nice owner. Fun place to play board games with friends. Very fairly priced!

Ignacio Gonzalez: Ver funny place with wide variety of games. The price of the drinks is okay. It costs 4€ per people and 1.5 every hour or two hours

Marieke Hökberg: Very nice and relaxed atmosphere, a lot of options of board games and helpful, experienced staff. You pay 1 euro per hour per person to play games here and you can rent a game for 3 euros per day. You can also order drinks and snacks for reasonable prices. No option to sit outside (anymore).

Anna Ricci: We had so much fun, I love this place so much! Spent 4h in there without even realising. The owner is really nice and welcoming. They have games both in English and German. Truly recommend

Ashley Gan: Very extensive collection of games and the staff was extremely knowledgeable of all the games and really helpful with choosing a good game for my group. There was also a surpsingly good selection of Beers, non-alcoholic drinks and hot drinks. Also a decent selection of toasted sandwiches. Definitely recommend for a fun date night, group outing or cosy friend outing!

Aya Ragaei: Good Kinder stuff and there are new things every while and now it’s more organized and clear. Contactless payment. Not all the staff wearing masks 😷

Oleg Kozlyuk: Bought an RC toy which turned out to be defective, store quickly exchanged without issues. Good price and selection of LEGO. Kids are happy

chandrika das: The lady in the cash counter with dark hair was quite rude and did not cooperate well. It was quite a disappointment.

Falco Tas: We went when there was a lot of discounts. Great prices.

AA: Bad experience! Employee was following me and my child around and rolling her eyes at usvery uncomfortable, disrespectful, and humiliating.

Mohamad Ebrahim: Cashier does not accept (kontatktlos) cards, we have to stick the card, use the one and only pen device (not hygiene at COVID times) and sign. Seriously this is not acceptable, terrifying every store now has payment devices that supports contact free cards. This actually goes against the signs you put everywhere inside your shop to keep a distance, and wear masks, understood?

Florian Weissbach: Huge range of toys, ok prices.

Annie Kirchner: Wide variety of toys for kids with great prices! Helpful staffs :-)

Ayoube Bahoussi: Top

Werken Spielen Schenken: what do users think?

Mark Hollmann: The 3 stars is not a reflection on the shop itself, which is fab. You would struggle to not find what you are looking for. It is a reflection on the really bad customer experience with one particular member of staff. My daughter who does not speak German wanted some art materials. She added it all up to about 70e but when she went to pay she was about to be overcharged by 30e. When she challenged him he got rude and dismissive. I feel like he tried to take advantage of her not being able to speak German. I arrived later and went to pay for her stuff and a different member of staff rang it through for the 70e correctly, and she was very pleasant. If I was the manager in there I would have fired the first guy on the spot. Hopefully somebody from the shop reads this and takes some action.

Leticia Hissa: I always give preference to physical stores over online shopping, but after two horrible experiences at this store in one week, I have decided to never shop here again. Incredibly rude staff. A shame.

Lise Brander Kristensen: This place has everything! We found the specific game we needed. In three different versions :)

mags m: Very unfriendly staff who kept me waiting while she continued her discussion with another assistent. I saved 20€ by purchasing the same toy (Schleich 42407 Farm World) in Smyths toy shop.

Panayis Synodinos: Up-to-date selection of toys

Kiran Pulicheri: Good place for toys. We unfortunately had a rather bad experience. Price on sticker was 19.99 but we were billed 29.99. But good collection otherwise.

Omar Hossain: Such an amazing place. Have bought many many things from there and i mist say, quality is top notch. Price is also very reasonable and the sheer quantity of different types of toys, accessories and kits is astounding. Very much recommended for gifts and also personal buying. Staff is also polite and helpful.

Ilia Kaliuzhnyi: Got the board game I was looking for (although German version only)

Ievgen Kapinos: Many boxes are open. But staff does not allow to check content until you buy an item. I found very nice Brio rail road. Box was re-sealed. Second seal was ripped. And you know. In a box were trees, animals some buildings and NO TRAIN and railroad. Also, I looked on scooters. I need my kid to try it to select one with proper height. I pulled one from opened box. And one guy from a staff said that I have to buy it. I came to the shop to buy proper stuff and they does not allow to do it.

Sukesh kumar: Store has a corner which is full of discounted items. Worth to check out every once in a while.

Aniruddha Pandharipande: Great collection of stuff but a bit heavier on pocket.

Antonio Saiz: The Fundgrube was not so cheap

Berliner Zinnfiguren & Preussisches Buecherkabinett: what do users think?

Marco simon: Very happy with the figure and absolute very fast shipping, also happy with the customer service, they are very friendly and are kind, thank you very much regards from Belgium

John Cunliffe: Was in Zinnfiguren on 13 / 5-2022 In the first part of the shop there was a large selection of tin figures some lovely magazines and few large models. When I went on to look at their kit in the back room, I was denied access, because it was only online sales. We were the only ones in the store and can see from other reviews that there has been access. Usually I put around 600-700 euros in the places I buy kits, but when I was denied access I did not have to have the magazines I had looked at either. i will never put my legs in the zinn figure again, a disappointment richer. If i could i would have given it zero stars

Diego Garcia Cacho: Such a wonderful place for model makers, friendly staff that is so kind and lets you enjoy all the store. Then if you need help they are so wiling to answer any doubts and help out. Even inlf you dont speak Deutsch they try their best in english to make sure you get what you need.

Carlo Tinschert: Friendly and knowledgeable staff, I have been to Berlin (in 2019). Mail orders: always on time and packed in a sturdy box. Nothing but praise for this shop.

Adam D: Really great. I placed an online order and it was shipped immediately with very fast delivery. The staff were very nice and answered a question I had about delivery promptly. The items came well packed and in good condition and inside the box was a nice catologue and some other pamflets which were interesting to read.

Lasse Siggelin: Much more than the name and store front gives away, Huge selection of plastic models and tons of books. Good range of colors and tools as well. Well worth a visit!

Marcus Bennemann: Nice good quality and many books on various history topics.

G O: Nice staff member, speaking English and very helpful. Full Ammo Mig Jimenez range. Wide models choice. Would be nice to have more Special Offers, especially for 1/35 scale AFV and keep it in one place in the shop. For sure I will visit again.
