Friedrichstadt-Palast: what do users think?

Peter R. Reuter: Just wow 🤩 what an amazing show!!! 👯‍♀️🎉👯💃🕺🎶🙌 We got the recommendation to go here and hesitated until last minute. I’m the end it was a good decision as we got the tickets at the desk (Abendkasse) and got a nice discount and upgrade to a category that we didn’t think we can afford. Highly recommend going here and taking advantage to enjoy a wonderful evening 😍

Dimitris Kostidis: Great theater with amazing acoustics. It is amphitheatric so don t bother having a good seat. You can enjoy the show wherever your seat is. I saw a very nice musical called The One and all the dresses were made from Jean Paul Gaultier. Another must place to visit while you are in Berlin. Recommended!

Eliane Camus: Building : The building itself is perfect for shows, the shape offers an excellent visibility on the stage from everywhere. I was on the last rows but i could enjoy the stage normally. Compared with most french and London theatres, seats are pretty large and comfy, have more room for the legs than what i am usually used to. Ticket collection is outdoor, you first have to queue at the box office on the right of the palast outside, then queue again to enter the theatre. Show seen “ARISE”: Had a pleasant and entertaining night, what I appreciated the most are the acrobatics, the costumes and the scenery. The acrobatics were impressive (the athletes were better than Cirque du Soleil), they managed to create a setting with water which left everybody amazed (front rows were splashed 😂). Only downside is half the dialogues are german, half english. As a foreigner, couldn’t understand half the conversations (same for germans who don’t understand english…). Why don’t they display English subtitles on the scene and leave all conversations in german (while leaving the songs 50% German/50% English though)?

Kelvin Chua: Show watched: ARise Show time: 65min/25min interval/ 65min Language Show is in a mix of English and German. But that doesn’t really matter because the acts and visual spectacle can better translate the whole story, feel and emotions. Dance Choreography is seamless and fantastic with only mere moments of transition giving u barely enough time to comprehend until the applauses reacts. From cabaret style to pop and aerial ballet, it was a fusion of both art and form. Music From rapping to Maksim like crossovers with dashes of solo and strings akin to that of Vivaldi, it was the perfect ensemble. All music are performed live and performers shown at spots and locations around the stage. Stage The smart use of levelling for performers, lights and depth of field with a central rotating stage was something I haven’t seen since David copper field magic acts. Stage technology used here have accentuated the story telling element regardless where u r seated. Performers This show celebrates diversity in all forms. From LGBT to soloist of different Colours, the director has truly incorporated what it means for us to be in an inclusive world. Storyline (based on my own interpretation as I do not understand German) The pratogonist is a photographer. Struggling with the loss of what to shoot, he consulted with Time to find back his inspiration. Time brought him back with his Muse, calls him to revisit his past works to induce inception. With the help of light, he found back his muse. The review. A must watch if anyone is in Berlin. Do remember to book tickets waaay in advance as it’s almost full every single day. Being a fervent theatre/play/musical/orchestral goer, this show truly transcends my expectations. The music is original and fits the story telling from intro to climax, the theatre costumes details is fine and does lose to broadway types plays. Ticket prices are way cheaper if u compare it to actual full fledge plays/musicals. I don’t usually recommend front row seats as they are exorbitantly priced and not worth the experience. This show however, I totally recommend it.

Marylaine Dujunco: We watched the Arise. Highly recommended. Place is easy to locate and great interior. Program started on time. My only issues are: 1. Seats are not slanted so I was not really able to have a good view because the person in front of me was tall and had bulky hair. 2. Chairs are super not comfortable. Cushion is lacking. Had a back pain. Otherwise amazing lights and sounds and acrobatics. Amazing

Geektor Joystick Junky: Thanks to the amphitheatric design of the theater you can enjoy every show regardless of your positioning. I watched Arise and it was an incredible performance of both artists and dancers. The stage is a highlight for itself changing during the whole performance including suddenly appearing water fountains or pyro-show. The inside of the building looks far more breathtaking than the outside.

FELD - Theater für junges Publikum: what do users think?

Thilo Fromm: Charming traditional puppet theater.

sara switzman: The Walking Project play, its director and dancer/guides were transportative.

Ellen Richert: Cozy little cafe on Winterfeldtplatz, self-service, small selection, but an oasis in the big city. Very nice counter staff!

Vitus: Café is closed, although according to Too Good To Go it is busy offering food.

An S: This puppenthestrr has certainly existed for 30 years and for me is unique in Berlin. The plays that are performed for the children are simply great. There are also separate plays for adults . This theater was already threatened with closure, but it could be saved by a major public effort. This theater simply belongs to Schöneberg.

viola: very nice!! Unfortunately, parents also like to sit far in front and you have the feeling that there are more adults than children. it is probably intended for children. mine were there alone and i had enough time to eat alone and in peace.

Franco Potente: The performance was ok, if the puppeteer had moved 3 m forward with the whole stage, the children would have been able to see the little figures better.

Mia B: I was here with my kita group for the performance "Gruffalo". We were very enthusiastic about the theater itself and also about the performance. Unfortunately it was very tight but that was probably also due to the great demand for the play.

Theater des Westens: what do users think?

Bianca W: This theatre is absolutely gorgeous, and a decent size. With gold and red trimming and comfortable seats.Views were good too, and German theatres all seem to sell fresh pretzels as interval snacks!

Jon Kernow: Watched Kudamm 56. A great Show, well done. There were long queues outside the theatre due to covid controls - vaccination proof, negative test and passport. If its cold and wet come prepared! Because of this the show started about 20 minutes late. Masks were worn during the performance. Drinks can be pre-ordered for the break and these were well placed and signed. Lovely theatre with decent views of the stage. Seats in the Rang/Loge can be very tight if the show is booked out.

Evi Napetschnig: Always worth to spend a night at the theatre.. great atmosphere , great musicals, nice people and quite comfy seats .. one star missing as the refreshment area is very small and it can take nearly the whole break to get a drink - and as the Glas is not allowed in the auditorium you are forced to buy a special plastic cup with a horrible paper straw to refill your drink and avoid pouring it down…

Librarivan: Went with my mum to watch the Mamma Mia Musical.Musical was awesome, staff was super friendly!Definitely recommend visiting!

Brian: What a great Musical, well done guys

fluffy Bunny: Simply beautiful and stunning architecture. The place is amazing.

Schaubude Berlin: what do users think?

Sarah G: Love it!

Tobias Hoffmann: Top

Philipp Lingenfelser: A small theater with well tiered seats. The information on the homepage is a bit out of date, there are no longer any corona measures, masks are recommended everywhere but hardly worn. There is a foyer with limited seating and a kiosk to purchase drinks at normal prices. The audience likes asymmetrical hairstyles and DocMartins. The performance Hamlet in 90 minutes was extremely entertaining, our seats in the front row were worth it (free choice of seats). The expressive gestures of the figures require a certain closeness. As expected, the facial expressions of the smaller actors are rather rigid. Masters of their puppetry are on the move here. Recommended.

Sophie Clēver: We were there for the first time under Corona and it was a very successful evening. The Covid regulations were implemented very professionally, the event was 2G+. Nevertheless, the atmosphere from before was palpable and when we sat in the hall, the immediacy that characterizes this theater was there again. The play "Fanny and Alexander" was implemented in a very impressive way and even after the play some scenes still had an intense effect. The creativity in the stage design and the projections was also stunning. 5 Stars!

Ani -: This theater is simply a small but very fine size in the theater world. Always very exciting pieces and also now and then "kitchen talks" with the artists directly. As a sponsor, you even receive regular invitations to talks and special performances. A wonderful ensemble and a very good team setup in the house.

Daren Hornhelm: We saw a great puppet theater performance of The Fisherman and His Wife. At first I had some reservations about going to the play with 6-10-year-old children, since the recommended age was 4 years and older and there were many much smaller children in the audience at the entrance. But we were positively surprised: partly very demanding in the lecture (also for adults), but mostly as a story that can also be grasped well for children, with suitable little gags, great presentation and last but not least grandiosely implemented stage design, it was a great implementation of the well-known fairy tale and never boring. This was our first visit and certainly not the last - thank you very much!

Dennis Schmidt: Cool little theater where you get a lot for little money. I was very pleasantly surprised on my first visit there. The two-man show I visited was really worth seeing. A mixture of artistry and pantomime / theater. A nice little story that was simply but impressively shown by the two actors. Absolutely an insider tip for lovers of small but fine Schaubühnen or performances.

Stage BLUEMAXX Theater: what do users think?

Ioannis Argyridis: Amazing show that has managed to reinvent itself and stay up-to-date and relevant without losing the good-old PVC pipes. Always fun for all ages. Most of the show involved music and reminds me of the three Stooges. Lots of interaction with the crowd. Only one bit about animation was in German only, everything else has English subtitles.

C M: Came all the way from Holland. From the moment we took the seats, excitement started with powerful sounds, colorful atmosphere and the movement. Those 7 performers whom individually professional made great show. I did not miss anything sitting very front, we would love to visit again if they come over to Holland, cannot wait!

Jan Brünig: Cool Show!

Mandy Maus: it was super great again.... 😀

Sven Haiges (hansamann): Great show, super interactive.

Ilia: Children love it 💖, but remember it will be too load, and perhaps not so good for little kids,

Lee: Great experience at the bluemax theater. Blue Man group did not disappoint

Liran Doron: We have really enjoyed the blue man group show. We came with rather low expectations, but it was better than anticipated and generally very fun. The main downside is that it’s quite expensive. Row 6 was perfect. Don’t worry about getting “splashed” it’s not really an issue....

Runamile Czyborra: very cathartic relaxed theatre experience, too bad demolition is planned for this lovely hosting socialist structure

Andree Gubisch: Splendid off-theatre!Similar to Sophiensaele.Best performers in town is Felix Lüke and his group "Steinheimer"Must see!

Christian Bierwirth: Supertolle Location!

Marge De manœuvre: Very nice place!

Vesna Tomasevic: cool underground teather in mitte

Harald Hartlieb: Amazing, loving, cheeky, daring and simply fascinating. A memorable hour. Thanks for that!

barbara s: Hmmm... old-fashioned, I like the theater to look "nice". The rooms here are far from pretty... The play I attended was interesting.

Sascha G: The different formats are surprising, sometimes there are great productions, such as that of Schlösser or internil, sometimes productions are boring and stupid or both, but the attempt and the discussion is always valuable and important. New forms and formats are tried out, hardly anything wants to be pleasing or correspond to any standard... Such places are much more exciting because form and content are always surprising.

Andreas Sohns: Contemporary, innovative and always a highlight 👍🏼 The varied program is rounded off by friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. Always easy to reach thanks to the close proximity to Alexanderplatz.

SEVIL E.: Theater heaven for kids in the amazing, historical Heckmann Höfe!Their performances are really nice. They also run theatre courses. My daughter has joined many times and she wants to go back after every course! Thanks amazing people of Galli!

Frauke Wilke: Wonderful experience! Attended 1 week workshop at the Training Center Galli Theatre in July. Wonderful teachers, great location, super atmosphere during the seminar, just perfect learning experience. Any time again.

Damian: Nice hidden place close to jewish synagogue. Handful of Caffè and restaurants. Quite with cosy square under trees

Thoralf Schenck: Nice and amusing performance at a great place!

Maik: Nice staff, very good performance in the evening.

Maruf Barkat: centuries old Cafe. traditional food.

Reflex Verlag: We have booked a theater workshop for our company and can warmly recommend it. Exercises were carried out both in small groups and with the whole team, so that you could get to know your colleagues from a completely different perspective. There were snacks and drinks during the breaks, so that no one had a slack. A little theoretical input gave us inspiration for the acting scene again. All in all a nice and above all special experience for the whole team. Thanks!

Johanna Schwarzbeck: Very nice, liked the atmosphere. Didn’t like that one can smoke in there ? I’m a non-smoker don’t appreciate being in a place where one can smoke but it was very light so that was OK. I liked the peanuts and the tangerines being given for free very sweet as well. I don’t get that people still smoke here, I’m from NY there is no-more smoking in bars period.

Simon Hogg: Awesome place, band on the one night and a gallery the second night we were in Berlin. Great little place to have a few drinks and meet and some nice people especially #Ursula Bertin

Gieorgij Puchalski: Great place for alternative art and a drink before and after in a cosy backyard.

Luka Emmanuel: I love this place for its artistic outlook.

Feis Buk: Great discovery

Luana Ma.Be.: I enjoied the time here. The place is a multi options space for art, music and dance.

Bernd Kumar (Tron): A nice venue for good performances

Michelle Read: Interesting oldskool Fringe performance venue.

Der Lores: My home in this town.

AMR Karkout: Great place!

The staff were all lovely and helpful, particularly when we had some issues with the new ticket system. Use the Welcome Card to get a 25% discount and it is definitely worth your while. The tour lasts just over an hour and is very entertaining!

Rosanne: Actors were good at their job and great storytellers. The decor and rooms were fully immersive, 10/10! No COVID restrictions anymore and there was a woman coughing her lungs out during our tour, but no one said anything about it. That wasn’t great. Everything else was definitely worth the price!

Timothy Visser: Period decor and forgotten sense of style with stunning presentation of acts. Oh, and the toilets....... unmissable!

Martin Schroeder: Had an absolutely amazing evening at the Golden 20s show. Would recommend to anyone! Really good entertainment.

nicolas weber: Awesome experience. watched the Golden Years show, would definitely recommend it. Food prices were a bit high, but students get a discount for entry tickets. Really wanna go to their drag shows, but they’re always fully booked.

Dan Malasky: Exceptional experience at Wintergarten Berlin from the moment we entered until departure. We did not know what exactly to expect and it exceeded all expectations. The staff is incredibly friendly and even upgraded us to a private booth and did a toast with us welcoming us to Berlin. The show was a bit non-traditional from what we are used to in the US, but was non-stop entertaining with tremendous variety show performances by exceptional and talented individuals. We STRONGLY reccommend attending -- quaint theater that takes you back 100 years with a great night of entertainment!

Ruth Calleja: Spectaular show. Food is great. What is missing a bit of English translation or a word promter for the non German speaking guest.

Ingeborg Cleve: Thrilled by the "Flying Dreams" performance, the latest Wintergarten Variété show – a bold mixture of street dance and artistic acts in a remarkable venue. Both a revue theatre and a restaurant, the Wintergarten combines glamour and familiarity in a unique Berlin mixture. Expect an evening of extraordinary entertainment.

oğuzhan karacüllü: It was AMAZING show! I can’t say anything bad about the show and organization but the price / quality rate of the meals and drinks wasn’t as good as the show. The venue should review its price policy.

Theater at Potsdamer Platz: what do users think?

Saodat Khaitova: Nicely decorated for Christmas. Great performance of Nussknacker by Grand Classic Ballet. Garderobe charges 3 euro. For the price about 80 euro in parter, the was no live orchestra.

Anna: Perfect place for concert - big, spacious and comfy seats. I enjoyed perfomence of Charlie Puth so much!

Maxx B.: Disappointing. The venue is too small for the amount of people that it is meant for, resulting in overcrowding in the entrance/cloakroam/bar area. Signs are confusing. Some drinks/snacks were sold out before the performance and others during the break. The performance was mediocre (Swanlake) and had an annoying blue-ish lighting on stage that made your eyes hurt. Won’t go there again.

Alexandra Toader: Nice venue, easy reachable by public transport. A bit disappointed by the waiting time at the wardrobe, had to wait about 20min and for each item I had to pay 3 euro.

Eugene Yau: Where Berlinale takes place. Nice theatre. Very nice vibes during Berlinale! Great place to watch movies. Roads get blocked during Berlinale. With food trucks around, can grab a drink to chill! Get crowded with bunch of journalists and people waiting to see big celebrities!

Gabriela E.: Nice venue, but making you throw away a small bottle of water, is kind of ridiculous.

Yibo Zhang: Rainbow 6 Siege Berlin Major

Iestyn Dallimore: A really nice venue, prices are a little high and staff are friendly.

Malik Sonntag: The bar prices are ridiculously high. You pay 7€ for 0.75L of Water....

Susanna Borciani: Really nice theater with such a great program for kids and the young generation. A great alternative to the average ‘puppen theater’ offers, that are often pretty low in quality. Here the quality is high and the theater pieces really nice made and enjoyable by kids and their parents too 😊 We saw ‘Der Mond kann trommeln’ and were amazed by it. My son still talks about it after weeks. Cheap ticket price. Super recommended!

Ikeade Oriade: Nice construction for easy and quick passage of crowd. For a first Theater experience, it was great watching Emilia Gallotti.

Caspar Gutsche: It was a great performance, totally worth it. Important note: there are no latecomers

Not without something for the educators on site. We love that.... Thank you for that too. We recommend. We will be back.

B. FM.: Theater for smaller children, lovingly played with hand puppets and theater staff. With simple means and topics suitable for children. Recommended !

Stephanie Stein: As always, fantastic. There has been quality theater for children here for many years. Extremely valuable.

Yvonne Schlößer: Nice theatre, very cute made and set up for kids. There are great plays. Would highly recommend. The prices, especially for adults, I find a bit too high, especially if both parents or other accompanying persons want to come with them.
