Kino International: what do users think?

Linh N.: This cinema has a charming atmosphere and the architecture is beautiful. The bar offers a lot of snacks including alcoholic drinks, so I could even enjoy my white wine while watching the movie. Very friendly service.

sssc v2: came for sinthujan varatharaja’s book premiere (an alle orte die hinter uns liegen) and had a wonderful time! the building is gorgeous, especially how the light flows in. also, the book is a blessing, go buy it. /@juiceoramah

Louis Von Bauer: A little travel back in time with a very simple, Soviet/DDR atmosphere. Wish the sound and seats would be much better though

Ario Yuniawan Prariyadi: Great DDR building which still stand perfectly until now. The seat in the cinema is quite comfortable. The screen itself is bigger than I have expected before. The location is nearby the Underground Station U5.

Alex Gorskyi: A fairly large cinema with a big screen, but the most important thing in it is the choice of films. The selection of movies shown there is a pleasant surprise.

nichse: To me, one of the most charming cinema in Europe. Doesn’t matter if it is not the most updated one: the sound could be better, the seats more comfortable, the screen more futuristic... no. Kino international is a experience, like driving a old Aston Martin. Just beautiful.

Ryan Clare: Amazing theater. It has a nice old timey feel. Get there early to grab a drink at the bar and relax before the movie

Winnie Dias: Beautiful building and great atmosphere !

Laurent Kaestli: Old, renovated movie theater with a lot of charm. Great building , nice bar to have a drink after the movie.

Marc Jordana: Amazing cinema. It’s got a different vibe: the old-style entry, the bar facing Karl Marx Allee and its old communist (plattenbau) buildings, the central room with its long courtains... The image and sound quality is good. Only “but is the inclination of the room: if you have someone tall in front of you, you view may be partially blocked. Tickets can be bought in advance in its website (0,50€ plus).

Lindelwa Mhlanga: Intimate, quaint. Great screen and sound. Not very cheap but not expensive either. Spent about €20 on a ticket, small popcorn and weinschorle

Ksenia Titova: Cinema with old style. It is a bit old in general, but for this price it is ok. All tickets 🎫 don’t have specific place so you need to come in advance. Also be ready for a smell in the hall, they use air exhaust but when a lot of people it doesn’t really help. Overall it was nice to visit this place. And this place still has curtains in front of the screen which I found very unusual and charming.

Gillian Claire Lane: Really liked this place, felt like a more traditional cinema than a superchain one !! Comfortable seating, good selection of English speaking movies.

Kevin Heinrich: Great cinema with a nostalgic vibe, always movies in OV , nice staff, good choice of drinks (Proviant etc. ) And comfy seating

W. Sasson Chahanovich: Amazing cinema! Such comfortable seats. Beautiful, def go

Rodolfo de Campos Monteiro: Cool cinema, feels very authentic and the chairs are comfortable.... But can you believe they ran out of popcorn before the movie? 😂

Siddharth: Old School, refreshing change from a multiplex chain.

Fatma Hassan: Nice small old cinema, the seating was very good and the people working there are friendly! Sometimes there are OV movies with german subtitles..

Ryan Bateman: A beautiful, large cinema with good sound, comfortable chairs, and friendly staff.

Toby Tobyson: Nice and friendly staff with decent selection of drinks and snacks. The seating, sound and video quality is standard. Nothing exciting.

Marwan Dessouki: The seats are comfortable and the movie theater has a nice vibe. Would recommend to go for a nice casual movie, but the sound system could benefit from an upgrade.

Alan D'souza: Really good for the price, but I have visited theatres with better picture and sound quality

camille sanchez: Very awesome cinéma room, you have space thr staff always smile, and the popcorn is good.

roni madhana: Really nice cinema and one of the best popcorn in Berlin.

Simone Secci: One of my favorite cinemas in Berlin. Beautiful old building, always a great selection of movies.

Timo Nazari: Amazing old eastern German movie theater that is part of the York group. They offer a wide selection of original sound movies with German subtitles. Great selection of condiments and sodas. The seats are comfortable!

LF: Cosy small (not too much) multi room movie theater near Volkspark Friedrichshain. Nice atmosphere and comfortable chairs. It is part of the York Group. You can buy tickets online or at entrance.

Sebastian: Amazing film theater in a classic style. Lots of blockbusters but also independent movies. Original versions and subtitles as well. Good prices and very friendly staff. Clear recommendation.

John Harrison: So great to see this! I used to deliver their mail, when working as a student in 1972, to the old address in Welserstrasse. Delightful people. Wishing the Institute every success.

Albaraa Alghamdi: Good but not that great normal theatres are great size so you don’t get lost but this is the complete opposite

Hannah: I visited here in 2017 during the Berlin International Film Festival and it was amazing! Highly recommend if you love anything to do with Film!

Jackson Emanuel: One of my favorite independent cinemas. Where else hosts a Tarkovsky retrospective every year? The selection is wonderful, a gem for cinephiles everywhere

Oliver Mildau: A bit too small for my taste, but the movie selection offers must sees on a regular basis.

Rahul: One of my favorite place. Good architect and beat interior and good for English language movies

Semih Ewdala: The place is decent. Staff is very helpful and nice and super cheap. Tho there was now break between.

Melina: I was in Berlin for the first time and found out about this super cute and retro movie theater. Wasn’t able to watch a movie but had an amazing conversation with Zach. What amazing human being! I’ll always remember you :)

Carlos O. Heras-Bautista: There was a lot of place. The seats were comfortable. Went on winter and the temperature was on the spot. Nice sound too :D I would gladly go again

dog: Love the retro interior of this Kino, they have good selection of movies, also in English. Movie cost 9€ (pretty reasonable) Small popcorn it comes mixed sweet abs salty cost €3.8 and it’s really tiny 😅 they screen commercials and trials for 30 mins before the movie, just so you know that you don’t need to rush

Sophie The Wanderer: Brilliant little cinema with lovely decor, fair prices and friendly, helpful staff. Had a lovely time there and will go back 💙 They open the doors 15 minutes before the first screening.

Average Berson: Beautiful retro layout + Fresh MIXED popcorn 🤤 Recommend choosing you seats from row 10 up (seats 7-11) for beat view 👀

Ally Lin: Amazing cinema, comfy chair and good selection of Asian movies

Jada e: The seats are not built for modern tall people anymore. There’s just not enough space, if the cinema is full it’s not comfortable.

Marta Bartoshevska: small and cozy cinema with one screen i guess. great pick for a date. buffet is overpriced

stephanie: probably the prettiest cinema i’ve been in

Adonis Kypraios: Retro feeling and Dekor! But the "show" is being stolen from the kindness of the personnel! Amazing, will visit again for sure!

Gökhan Kutluer: Not only a cinema but also such a lovely and cozy place to chill.
Response: Thank you, Gökhan, we see you came during our cinema poster sales! :)

R K: Usually these small cinemas have old and/or uncomfortable seats. Luckily the seats at IL Kino are very comfortable and modern. The blonde girl behind the bar seemed to be in a bad mood though
Response: Thank you , R.K., we take pride in making it comfortable space. As for the rest, we can all have a bad day, but I'm be pretty sure you'd be met with a smile next time :)

Ana Carolina Boldrini: I loved this place. Friendly staff, good teas and coffes and also nice movies. The movie room is cozy and warm. I fully recommend the visit!

steve taylor: My favourite small independent cinema. Not just a great choice of films, often original language with German or English subtitles, but a really friendly atmosphere. Nice little bar, stylish little auditorium, cheerful staff. One lovely touch, due to the pandemic, the windows were open to allow airflow, and during the cold evenings staff gave out blankets so customers kept warm! It worked perfectly alongside the glass of Glühwein!
Response: Thank you, Steve, it warms our heart like a big cup of Glühwein to hear!

Jung Woo Yae: Small, but very cosy cinema of locals’ love.

vera krautwurst: just lovely. bring a date or good friend. this cosy small independent cinema in a great neighborhood will take good care of you: the additional bar serves everything in style... wine, beer, drinks, tapas, small cooked dishes, cake... the best: you will be able to take it into the movie. always good to come with some extra time.

Claudio: Cozy small independent cinema that shows films with original audio. There is around 30 to 40 comfy seats (first come-first serve). Before and after the film you can order drinks and snacks at the bar. Of course you can finish your drink during the film. All in all, I really enjoyed the movie and would go again anytime.

R DELILKHAN: Large and spacious seats, good quality speakers and screen. Toilet is a floor above, slightly inconvenient.

David Y: Classic old school movie theater. With very high ceilings in a balcony. Normally plays French movies but they can be in German or in French with subtitles. This is a great art house theater part of the York cinema chain.

Alex: Very nice cinema.

Douglas Nasrawi: Great old-fashioned cinema

Vasco Pereira: A very nice old cinema, with the flair of old times when going to the cinema was a special ocasion.Worth a visit!

Pietro Serra: Nice cinéma, but it is a pity they do not show more films in their original language.

Andrea Marino: Cozy , clean ... Not the best sound / screen but definitely good.

Amanda Christiansen: Absolutely gorgeous and classy cinema! But the sound is extremely poor.

Tatiana Gusar: Wonderful place but rather expensive tickets and no EC card... Only cash

Babylon Kreuzberg: what do users think?

Jung Woo Yae: Local’s choice for the arty films. You do not need to go there 20 mins before the screening time as they start to let you in about 10-15 mins before the time written on your ticket. Oh there are about 20-minute long adverts going on, if you mind them.

Irena Zabojnikova: The movie was supposed to start at 5:30 PM, but with watching boring ads and apparently waiting for more guests to come, it only started at 6 PM. That ruins the mood since the beginning. Otherwise the rest was fine, small cinema with a small bar at the beginning with food and drinks. It was a bit overcrowded and felt unorganized.

Dale Hawkins: nice old theater. they have popcorn and the like and comfortable seats. tiny bathrooms though, which seems to be a pretty common thing in Germany in general.

Levin Song: This cinema is small but cozy. The screen quality is nice. Super friendly staff as well ;)

Louis C: Kino lovers will absolutely love the Babylon Kreuzberg cinema. There is something retro and authentic in the air. Grab some pop corn and enjoy the movie!

George S.: The sound for Batman was too low.. the side speakers were not connected or some issues... The place looks nice.

Gabriel Francisco Lemos: Great cinema showing movies in their original versions.

megan: beautiful vintage feeling interior, friendly service and good prices (they do a student discount!)

Moritz Erdt: Nice little cinema.

Jack Elgar: Classic movie theatre, Great style. Popcorns delicious and always plays new movie’s what more could you want!

Anna Mel: A unique experience! Ever since we moved to Berlin 6 months ago we wanted to go and finally had the chance and it was totally worth it!!! We watched Metropolis (1927) followed by the Babylon Orchestra Berlin and it was magical. Just one tip: I would recommend sitting up front instead of the back like we normally do at the cinema. Actually, when I go back, I would hope to be upstairs. And also, please, if you go with your friends, please don’t go out every chance you get to get beer/wine (disturbing passing in front of us, the space is too small and we want to watch) and don’t chat with your friends, it’s disrespectful to us who really want to enjoy the experience and to the orchestra. Ps. Get a poster at the entrance and some popcorn (5€ the huge one) with some wine/beer/non alcoholic drink at the bar :)

Sankar M: I watched a couple of Tamil movies in Babylon. Amazing theater atmosphere. This theater makes you feel like you are watching a movie in India.

Isabella Baum: Lovely place. It is old but gives very vintage vibes. I personally went for a Flamenco Presentation and it was truly beautiful. I would definitely visit again.

Fatma Hassan: We attended there one of the silent movies during the silent movies festival! The place is although old but well organized and clean, the staff there are so friendly as well, I will be back for sure!

errezeta: Very nice old movie theater! I really liked it the neon logo in front of the building. The seats were spacious and comfortable. The image quality was ok for an old cinema, it was what you would expect. They host from time to time movie festivals from different countries which I find very interesting, for seeing something different from Hollywood movies. I would definitely recommend this place.

harsha huilgol: Well, a unique experience. Watched Kantara movie on a screen which had approximately 70 seats. It felt watching a movie on a large screen in a large Living hall 😀. Loved the experience though.

Hyo: Went to watch Korean Independent movies and enjoyed a lot :)

Tilsiter Lichtspiele: what do users think?

Marla Rós Zola: Lovely small independent cinema with good selection of films. Cheap prices and great if you’re not expecting a super fancy but authentic cinema. The bar is nice to have a drink before or after the movie.

Declan Ward: Wow, what a great cinema! I was visiting Berlin with my partner and we stumbled across this absolute gem. Its such a cosy spot to go for a coffee, beer or to watch a film with a really “gemootlich” atmosphere. There’s a really great selection of drinks and films, everything you’d want from a cinema/cafe! The staff were excellent too. Really friendly, welcoming and professional - especially the two twins! Thank you to them for going the extra mile to accommodate for us. I will be recommending Tilsiter Lichtspiele to all my friends and family when they’re in Berlin. 5 stars from me!

Miranda Müller: Wonderful place! Some of my best evenings in Berlin are spent here. The waitress Jo makes great drinks and is very charming.

Bartosz Gluba: Really cosy and good place for drink. As for the cinama - not very comfy seats and no ventilation.

Chris Jarv: We have gone to the Tilsiter for many years. It is one of the oldest cinemas in Berlin and has a wonderful bar at the front. They produce their own bier. My husband loves the dunkel bier. It is a charming location with a relaxed vibe. Service is always pretty good. Winter can be difficult with the smoking inside, but in summer they open the windows, and there is seating outside. We love the Tilsiter, so we choose to brave the smokey winter atmosphere.

Shady Darling: Charming and very small. Great if you expect art instead of blockbusters.

Flor Bari: Great place to hang out with friends but also for seeing movies

Reuben Courtenay: Quaint Kino, very rustic. Cool environment and screen.

Burak Dogan: Top spot. Great staff, lovely homemade beer and cozy environment.

Enmanuel Ortega: Very nice and confortable theater. It would be better if the separators between seats were movable.

Angelo Edades: A really really good cinema. Staff are friendly especially for first-timers like me. Good price, screen projection, sound and seats are very good and comfortable.

Oliver Martin Schües: Pretty neat cinema near the heart of Berlin. The large popcorn really is large. Lack of large fountain sodas keep it from getting 5 stars.

Maria Mochalova: Favorite cinema since forever. From the whole group this is my favorite place to go. The staff is always very friendly and to be honest - I love their chairs and their cinema design in general. Plus they serve cocktails to take on with you!

Bartosz Gluba: Hands down - my favourite cinema in Berlin!Air-conditioned rooms, with great design and ambiance, very helpful and supportive staff and amazing choice of movies!

Jada e: Consistently the best cinema I’ve gone to. Very comfy and decent facilities

Erfan Sth: I really like this movie theater despite its small size compared to many other venues in Berlin. It has several salons and they are quite clean and comfortable. The location is amazing and convinient and the cinema itself creates a nice atmosphere and environment for film buffs as well as the ones who go to the movies occosianlly as well as families. The visual and audio qualities are very good and the seats are very comfy. I strongly recommend this movie theater.

Kino in der Kulturbrauerei: what do users think?

Erika Rosen: One of my favourite cinemas in Berlin! Try to watch a movie in salon 3 - it’s huge and with very spacious seats. The only downside is that they don’t accept VISA cards.

Alize Nero: In this cinema really everything went wrong. 1. There was a long queue for the tickets and it took each person an exceptionally long time to buy the tickets. 2. They did not accept visa or debit cards 3. The price of 2 tickets was 25€ 4. The queue for the snack bar was long and again it took everyone long to get their orders and people couldn’t pay with visa or credit cards 5. The small popcorn was the price of a cheeseburger (6€) and small water 5€ 6. We ordered salty popcorn but halfway through the bag it was sweet 7. The toilets were unacceptable! So messy and dirty and not functioning and the facet broken I feel sorry for the people who work there

Milos Petrovic: Easily most chilled kino I have been to. Small and large halls, sweat sound, clean, not to much people coming to see movies. Just watched new Avatar there.

Jamie Matthews: I enjoy watching movies in this movie theater. The lobby looks new and pretty. The theater hall feels a little dated but the seats are very comfortable. The screen is large and sound system is imersive and of high quality. Movies are typically shown with original sound track at this location. The temperature control is also right at this theater.

Mosti Ghu: Awesome cinema but the seats are very uncomfortable. Also a lot sort of icecream were not available, empty shelts.

David the IV: I love when cinemas have these huge comfortable soft chairs. Plenty of room for your feet, clean carpet and atmosphere. They just hosted the premiere of our movie, and the purple color of the carpet makes the pictures unique. Plenty of space in the lobby for staff / fan pictures. Thank you for inviting me to the Fantasy Filmfest and for hosting Gunpowder Milkshake!!!!

Olivier Novel: Nice movie theater complex, good sized screens and good sound quality and volume. You can buy your tickets online or at the box office. The concession stand has all the treats you can expect of a good movie theater. Some movies require that you go to the theater to appreciate them, here you have an excellent option, so come on down to the Kino in der Kulturbrauerei

Jirka Hubáček: 27 minutes of ads, ordering online comes with 1.10 € “advance booking fee” 🤷‍♀️, don’t accept Visa or Mastercard at the counter.

marzzy mogh: I had a great experience there to watch an action movie, the quality of sound and the clarity of movie was fineThere is also chrismass market at the entrance if you go there on end of November

Farhad Qazi: The best cinema in all of Berlin city. If you want to watch movies in their original language in the lap of luxury and comfort, then look no further. This Cineplex has it all.

Hassan Radi: Huge cinema in the German capital with lots of screens that shows the latest blockbuster movies. It has a Dolby 7.1 surround system in most of the screens which is really great. The screens and bathrooms get cleaned regularly and after each screening, so you always find your seat and the surroundings clean.

Sabbir Salekin: The cinema hall is huge and the sound system is good. However, it is unreasonably expensive. The price of pop corn and drinks are really absurdly expensive. If you have other options, take the other options and avoid this place, if you are unwilling to pay to pay too much money.

Erika Rosen: Great cinema. Get the VIP chairs. You can tilt them backwards so that you’re basically laying down watching the movie. And you can charge your phone on the arm rest. I’m always gonna book VIP seats from now on.

Paula Pinho: Very nice cinema. Big and comfortable. With a great variety of films to choose from. I only think that the prices for beverages and popcorn, etc. are very high. 5€ for a bottle of water?!

Shane Cook: Disaster. After paying for premium seats had to queue 20+ minutes to BUY!!!, yes buy! The 3d glasses. Never again to this place. In other places they are free. Not a single level open except basement. Join queue fir pop cirn to get glasses!!! Come on guys, surely you can provide a better service than this.

Mohamad Nihal: The screen and sound system were amazing. Clean places.I just wish there were directions to the screen number somewhere. Took me 20mins to find screen 9 on top floor

Artem Kovalyov: Had fun watching avatar here. Well, the first one was epic, this is more like an aquarium movie. Recommend me some good drama or romantic story for a good cinema experience

Hassan Radi: A cute little cinema with 5 screens. It offers fewer seats compared to other cinemas, but the seats are comfy and you can buy popcorn, snacks or drinks as usual. You can access it from inside the shopping mall or from the main entrance in the back street.

Em Curare: Cute little Kino, with nice snacks and drinks, lovely staff. They show lots of movies in original without voice overs or subtitles. Would choose this over the big chain cinemas any day!

S James: Non-white people, please stay away from Rollberg. A racist incident occurred here at the Halloween triple feature event on 12.10. I was extremely disturbed and reported this to management and asked for the racist to be removed. I also was no longer interested in watching the halloween ends preview that I had paid money for. I was told that if I wanted to stay for the rest of the show, they would of course remove the racist. When I mentioned that my staying or not staying for the rest of the event should not affect their decision to allow a racist to continue to view the show, they offered empty placations and agreed to a refund, and said they would *eventually* ban the racist but they did NOTHING to actually remove the racist while I stood there with my outrage. The fact is, they will not outrage for you because you are not their demographic. They are not interested in creating a safe space for you to exist in, because they would rather you not be there at all.
Response: We are incredibly sorry to hear this. We do consider ourselves and inclusive space and deeply regret that you have experienced this at our cinema. Action has been taken and we would very much appreciate if you'd get in touch with us at hilfe@yorck.de

Paola Saa: Cool place! the seats are comfortable, the cinema isn’t too big but is cozy and I like the fact that there is a “neutral” bathroomI recommend you to buy your tickets online so you can get a little discount :)

Germain: Great cinéma, with alternative movies and original version with subtitles.

Juan Felipe Cadavid: Never too crowded and nice movie selection. They always show original versions with subtitles. Some of the auditoriums are a bit small with small screens. But sound quality and image quality are great. Great atmosphere too!

Hackesche Höfe Kino: what do users think?

Jana K: One of the most atmospheric movie theaters in Berlin (and it’s a lot to say). Located on a top floor of the very historical building in Hackesche Höfe, it surprises you with several movie halls with comfortable seats and great sound system. Most films are screened in original language, and they have a large section for kids. The staff is always friendly and their popcorn is always tasty.

Bárbara Vitoriano: Nice Kino, it was a great evening. Also, the building is super great!

Nicole: Such a nice old cinema. A bit crowded due to the location i guess. Had to wait a bit for drinks and snacks - could have used more staff that night. But cinema feeling was great.

Marijke Kuijs: I usually like this cinema a lot but the last movie had the sound way too loud. So loud that I saw multiple people close their ears cause it was hurting. Next to that they also had another speaker turned on where we could hear someone speak through a microphone. Bad experience in a normally nice cinema.

R. Wolff: Loved this cinema! Friendly staff, comfortable seats & even relevant commercials!
