Bonanza Coffee Roasters: what do users think?

Justin Shircliff: An excellent cup of coffee. I went with the filter option as it’s always my favorite. The taste was excellent and quite sweet, if that’s your thing. Nice staff and fast service. The bread looked really good as well, and I’m a little bummed I didn’t try one. Just means I need to come again.

Andre: Just perfect. One of the best specialty coffees I ever had on a V60! The coffee was from Equador (as per their suggestion and since I asked for a fruity coffe) and it had already a very nice smell with a balanced taste. The espresso was also very nice. The location itself is in a very charming alley, and the ambience is very comfortable and modern. It is a GREAT place for good coffee at anytime.

Vana Mavrakana: Specialty coffee of really good quality. Quick service. The place closes at 6pm. Inside it is not cosy, but I like the people and the vibe. It is also quiet and outside you get a feeling of escaping which is quite the paradox since you are very much in the city.Service: 4/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Dzmitry Yudo: Enjoyed our coffees here, a flat white and a filter one. The place doesn’t offer much of desserts/snacks/foods with just a few cookies available. Definitely not the most coziest of the cafes, and a busy one too. The staff are nice and helpful.

Tamara Božić: Beautiful place, aesthetically pleasing. A bit pricey, but it is worth it. Coffee is delicious and the pastries are to die for. It was quite enjoyable, would come back for sure.

Ayşe Nazlı Söylet: Really liking the atmosphere. Interior design is really simplistic and nice, outside area is also very sweet. Coffee is amazing btw. Had a flat white this morning and enjoyed it so much! Not many variety of food but enough for a serene morning!

Robin Metzler: Excellent coffee in Kreuzberg. If you like a quiet space to relax with your coffee come here. It's tucked away in a side street with a big courtyard. Highly recommended!

Coen den Haan: This place is a little harder to find. So keep a close eye on Google and look for the sign on top of the fence. The road sits next to a petting zoo. Then you come to a courtyard where the entrance to the roostery is located. The business is in fact a coffee business, but also the roastery of the coffee brand. The case looks very nice inside. It has a sleek design with lots of wood and steel. There are some plants in the store and a number of displays where products are sold. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is nice and knowledgeable about the product (especially the barista). As soon as the coffee is ready, it will be brought to your table (even if you are sitting outside). The coffee tastes good. A lot of energy has been put into the product. It is, however, a bit on the expensive side. It is not cheap to order a cappuccino or croissant. Finally, of course, the music. This was fine for this place. Twice while waiting to place an order I was about to run the number through Shazam. That says enough. They were chill obscure house beats. All in all, nice place to see and definitely good coffee. A bit on the expensive side but well worth it if you like coffee.

Sergey Mizin: This place has some really cool vibe - kind of industrial interior design and it’s hidden in the courtyard.High quality and tasty coffee with some fresh pastry.Although the place is a bit pricy.

Nhi Tuyet Vu: Cozy and quiet place in a roaster coffee shop where you can smell the coffee beans while enjoying their coffee with modern and interesting concept. Unfortunately they didn’t have public wifi for customer as I found some reviews on Internet that here’s laptop-friendly but the quality is still okay with the prices and service.

Neumanns Café: what do users think?

Ruchira Bafana: One of the most amazing brunch places in Berlin. Great for a leisurely coffee, in addition to having good food options. Amazing sourdough sandwiches. Not only the bread is awesome by itself but also the sandwich toppings are well balanced and just delicious. Don’t forget to try the cruffin!

Anna-Sophie Schwendtner: Great place with really good brunch and coffee. At first the service staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and stressed, but very friendly after all. The menu is very bread heavy but all dishes looked amazing. Had the omelette and really liked it! Good coffee as well 👌🏼 price is what you expect for a Berlin brunch place (~€18 for dish and 2 coffees, but was very full afterwards!) will come back 😊

Matthias Klatt: The best breakfast atmosphere: during the week as the good places are less busy, sitting outside in the sun, with great company AND at a place serving delicious food and really good coffee… 🤩 We had all of that during our visit at Neumanns! 👌🏼 To be completely transparent, we sat inside but it was a sunny day and we did not have coffee that day BUT did you ever try their chai latte!? 🤤 Everything was amazing and I wish there would have been space left for all these baked goods they have on display. 😂

Matthew MacLennan: 20 minute wait for a breakfast I'd wait longer for. Life could be worse. I had the Strammer Max, a 10€ breakfast with bacon eggs salad and sweet sourdough bread. Poached eggs were cooked perfectly. My friends had alternative options that looked equally appetizing. Wish I had two stomachs....

Zoe McArthur: Great brunch spot! Amazing sourdough breakfast options. I have been a few times and love the Hendriks - sourdough base with ham, peas and mozzarella. Staff are lovely and environment of the place is super open and friendly.

Foodie Kismat: One of the best places for coffee and snacks. I love the flat white coffee, carrot cake, croissant and cinnamon roll. Very friendly staff! Usually there’s a waiting time of 15-20mins over the weekend!

Sofia S: If you’re aiming to go to a very “Berlin” kind of coffee shop, then you’re at the right place. I haven’t had enough here to judge the food, but the coffee was okay, and the Lemon Pie was a bit too sweet for my liking. Might go again to assess the food.

Hannah K.: Always delicious. Went for a Sunday brunch. Would recommend making reservations a few days in advance. They fill up fast. I got the hummus toast as a combo.

Elena Gorbenko: A nice cozy place for breakfast or brunch serving a variety of breakfasts with home baked bread, offers wonderful pastries. Coffee could be better though, hence why 4, not 5

Gareema Gupta: It’s a cozy place but food was okaish! It’s a really cute cafe. The sourdough bread was good but it had no proper dressings

Milch Halle Berlin Coffee: what do users think?

Monika Wieczorek: Good coffee and really good cakes! We took cheesecake - this one was super creamy and tasty. A bit long waiting but finally was ok.

Khaliun: Very nice coffee and cozy atmosphere. Loved the gluten free options for cakes.

Lynien Lin: Great atmosphere! Had a cozy morning there. Cheese Sandwich was great!

Angelica Oung: Good cafe, good location. The flat white with oat milk is on point. Free wifi and for me on a Saturday morning not too loud and I can work a little discreetly (but the vibe is not for doing heavy duty work with laptop and no outlets). BUT the vegan banana bread is cardboard. Maybe I have two flat whites instead.

Felix: Quiet a few seats inside and even more outside on both sides of the street. They have tasty coffee and a few assorted cookies / brownies. In my opinion nothing special, just good coffee but thats everything you need.

ma Ito: The bakeries looked all great, but the Schokobrötchen was just fine. There were not so many choices left anyway though it was still early in a day. The cafe latte tasted good. Everything was quite expensive but it's reasonable considering the location. The staff was calling on the phone when I ordered and he made errors with my and the previous customer's order. It wasn't that bad but not professional. The seats were tight in the cafe and I can't call the atmosphere cozy.

Mariana Rossmann: Very good coffee and nice corner to sit outside on a sunny day. The food options are mostly (if not all) sweet unfortunately, but they are quite tasty. The staff are friendly and the service is quick.

Sergey Mizin: Probably the only place in the area where you can get some decent coffee after 6pm

Christakis Psyllides: Overly expensive and very average drinks and cakes. With so many other cafes in the area, this can't get a recommendation. Cappuccino and flat white were pretty bad to be honest and their "famous" popcorn was really very poor indeed. A wasted opportunity.

Lostkid: Been there a couple of times now. The location itself is pleasant, with a park area across the street where you can sit outside in the summer. The quality if the coffee itself is decent but unfortunately the baristas seem to have little to no training and can't do proper coffee specialties such as cappuchino or latte. No matter what you order, you always get espresso with luke warm milk, the only difference being the amount of milk. No layers, no structures, no foam - and more than once not a hot coffee but more like lukewarm. Staff is friendly but I wish the owner would invest some time and care in barista training.

Oslo Kaffebar: what do users think?

yw17: They cool. Cookies are very tasty. I even ordered another one cause I want to get that sugar hit. There’s an area dedicated to laptop users. You can get some works done here. Definitely recommend!

kristof muhi: What a lovely little coffeeshop! Flat white was perfect, cinnamon roll was super tasty, nice service. Work and laptop friendly environment, i cannot recommend this place enough! Music is amazing, nice vinyl selection and support for local artists. Perfection! Gonna return here quite often

S: Nice coffeeshop with good coffee and delicious looking cakes. The filter was okay, a bit thin, but okay. The cappuccino was good, but the espresso beans could have a bit more oomph for milk drinks. The place itself is usually bit crowded, many guest use the back side of the place to work.

Rebecca: A great little coffee shop serving freshly baked goods made on the premises. It’s one of the few places I know that offers gluten and vegan baked options. There’s a space for people with laptops but there are not outlets available so it’s not really a place to work in. There’s a good indie pop playlist playing and they also sell records. The coffee is high quality and there’s a self serve water area. They only take card so be aware of that.

Viktor D.: The place is super cozy and clean. The staff was as well incredible friendly and polite. Wifi connection was good so you study or work from there as well. The coffee was quite good! I would def come over again.

Siraj Modiwala: The vibe was great, the coffee was good and the carrot cake was one of the best i've had. A perfect place to take a couple of friends or a book (or your laptop if you wanna work on something) along with you. The modest ambience is surprisingly comforting.

Omri Holtzman: Yum! , I LOVED the chocolate cookie that joined the great coffee that held up to all expectations I just wish I could go again to get some beans but did not make it . 100% visit for coffee lovers .

Christakis Psyllides: Fantastic little cafe. Coffee is great, service excellent, ambience and cakes are as good as anything I have had in Mitte. Cards only. Highly recommended.......Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Mariana Rossmann: Great coffee and incredibly tasty food. The carrot cake is very flavoursome! The banana bread and the vanilla cookies are delicious. There are a couple of tables outside, which is great when the weather is nice. Inside there are several tables and it’s a good place to work from.

Silhouette hoo: Lovely café, the cappuccino was good and the banana cake was very tasty, strongly recon!

Coworking Berlin by Coffee Fellows: what do users think?

Абай Жунус: Okay for working if you are ready to use your own mobile data. Pros: + 💻 Very laptop friendly + 🔌 A lot of power sockets/plugs/outlets (which is great for Berlin) + Plenty of available seats (friday afternoon) on both floors + 😊 Staff is really friendly and nice + Bagel was delicious 😋 + 🚾 Bathrooms are clean, equipped with sanitizers, soap, and a toilet paper. Bathroom for people with disabilities is on the first floor Cons: - 🐌 The internet is really slow (2-5 mega bits/second) and the signal is weak, I had to use my own hotspot Questionable: ? ☕️ coffee could be better (but I'm not the expert in coffee, maybe you will like it)

Eli Jane: Great coffee. You can work there on the weekends. Wifi is limited to a few hours per day

Jaba Lomtadze: good coffee, and a nice place to meet a friend or read a book

Julian Stapf: First of all I'm happy coffee fellows has a dedicated coworking cafe, it's nice to be in a laptop friendly environment. Here is the deal: the public space has only knee-high tables in contrast to the daypass area. The wifi can be laggy, sometimes disrupted. My fruit dragon bowl was a liquid, basically a juice with some granola. Not even a smoothy bowl should be served like this, it was a bad imitate. The cappucino was okay-ish but not in a quality you expect from a coffee house. Pricing is good considering you can use the coworking area. However, at a point when the music was too loud and the internet non functional I left the space and found a good alternative across the street. So, I hope you know what to expect now at coffee fellows and I also hope the staff see's some potential to improve their service. The idea is good but it definitely requires some fine tuning here.

Leo Lipasti: Quite expensive if you only work some hours and not a full day. Also 19% MwSt. is added to the price when you pay so keep that in mind. Rooms were clean. I didn't use that much internet to say if it was good or bad but it worked fine for me. But I'd only recommend if you plan to stay full hours

Cathi Gentzke: Very good coffee, great wifi and tasty bagels! Can recommend if you want a chill atmosphere to study or work.

Andrew Backer: Came here for the coworking space above (we had 2 rooms for 4 days). Location is great, next to the trains and lots of food. Wifi worked perfectly, which gets you a 5+ in my book. Good coffee, tea selection, and bagels/snacks. There is a decent views of the street from most rooms so it doesn't get too boring. Staff was friendly if a bit overworked at times. I never used the standard seating so I can't comment on that.

A QuinteiroA: Great! Comfortable, quiet and good staff. Nice to focus on work in there.

Kit Whelan: Coworking space above Coffee Fellows with fast wifi and good views. There are no desks or phone booths, mostly cafe-style seating. You get 20% off food and coffee downstairs once you remind the staff about the discount 👍

Fabian Lüpke: Very slow and painful WiFi. How am I supposed to co-work here, if the WiFi is only giving me 60 kilobyte/s (!) per second? Furthermore, don't go here, if you are working on IT projects. They filter all outgoing ports in their WiFi besides 80 and 443. So either configure your ssh to work on port 80 or do not go here. And they block VPN connections! Besides that, nice location, good quality.

leuchtstoff - Kaffeebar und Bakery: what do users think?

Rodrigo Rivera: This cafe is trendy among local hipsters. Although the location feels alternative, this might be misleading, as the prices are on the high side. Although expensive, pastries are nothing special here. The cafe fares better. In summer, this place gets too hot to sit indoors, whereas outdoors, there is no shadow. A better option is to take away and walk to the nearby parks.

Sonia Ran: This is my favorite neighborhood coffee spot. It's a cosy place to go to read a book on a weekend in the loft or bring my laptop to get some work done during the week. Their coffee is really good and a great gift to bring when I visit friends and family outside of Germany. You'll definitely want to get a stamp card ;)

Randon Rosenbohm: How did they get those couches up there? Had everything I needed in the moment (place to work, a gluten free treat, tampons in the bathroom). I have walked by a few times and snubbed my nose because it seems so trendy, but it’s actually really cute in here and seems like a good place for me to make a pit stop at!
Response: Hey there. Thanks for the review - but I gotta ask: if you are impressed by our couch balkony and our baking…aaaand we had all you needed….aaand you found the place actually cute: how did we land at 3 stars? :)

Zablon Msagha: Really good coffee, cozy spot to work. The butter croissant is so nice.
Response: Hey Zablon. Thanks for your praise. We hope to see you again soon. Working at Leuchtstoff with a laptop is fine by us monday through friday - not on the weekends though.

Carles Lorente: Nice place to have a good coffee (lecker capuccinos) and a croissant, sandwich or piece of cake (vegan option avaliables!!). The music and the ambience is so good, calmly and you can even work there with your laptop. They have a terrace in the street, and we repeat a couple of times. The staff is nice and kind… totally recommended!

Melvin: No laptop rule being not enforced (others were sitting there with laptops open). Suddenly I get told “no laptops, thank you.” I saw people studying there with books, pens and calculators open (sitting alone). I saw people on their phones (sitting alone). And here I am to make an educated guess why they said it to me. I come to the conclusion that their team has their culture not set strongly enough as they are not clear enough in their communication. Realizing this while I am still eating my sandwich felt uncomfortable. Since I already felt uncomfortable let’s see if I can help with it. They don’t want people like me (digital nomads), let’s make sure they communicate that so I would not have paid 15 euro’s afterwards. And I pay that much precisely because I know that a 3.50 euro drink is not enough for them, I pay it out of politeness with the implicit expectation that I can sit there. But they have a no laptop rule, while there were people on their laptops. I raise the issue with the staff. The staff was clearly busy, by this point I felt so uncomfortable about the situation that I didn’t care. They needed to ban me at the gate. They made me go through this, their culture needs to be fixed now. I raise it, purely talking on what I am observing. The woman in front of me doesn’t let me finish my point. I interrupt her and ask her to finish my point. She allows me to do that. Clearly this was such a triggering issue that they don’t allow a customer with a calm tone of voice to raise their concern. I make the point. She says they don’t want people with laptops on the weekend because it ruins the weekend atmosphere. Cool, I am fine not being here. I wish you guys would’ve told me upfront. I got emotional after that comment, because I can’t help but think it’s a weird form of discrimination, but that’s something I have to think deeper about to see if it is. Unfortunately, I did get emotional because of it, so did she. Well, she already was emotional when I raised the concern. I could see why, other than it being a triggering issue they were under a lot of pressure and it seems like there is no time allocated to talk about how to set a culture to both employees and customers (that’s my guess, I don’t actually know that). But her being emotional wasn’t helping in keeping my cool. So why not 1 star? Coffee was okay (and I am critical, okay means top 20%) Sandwich was good And a guy stepped in (from their staff) to resolve the situation and listen to my feedback. Not 3 stars, because digital nomads aren’t welcome. I am not welcome. The place gave me the idea that I was and then mid-bite in my sandwich I get told in a very subtle way that I am not with “no laptops, thank you” If you’re not a digital nomad: clearly a 5 star place, enjoy. It’s worth it :) And to the coffee place: sorry for giving a 2 star rating, but you can clearly take the hit. Moreover, anyone reading this review will realize you’re a cool place to stay, except for digital nomads needing to get work done. If anything, I am helping you to enforce the rule of no laptops. Cheers!
Response: Hey Melvin, thanks for taking the time to write up this detailed account of your take on the story. Its infinitely more productive and actually helpful to us to read what disappointed a guest rather than getting a bad rating without any context. Let me start by saying I am truly sorry that you had a bad experience at Leuchtstoff. We work hard to bring great products and very friendly and humane service to our guests so I think its useful to explain about our policies, our perspective on how this situation occurred and lastly how we can potentially learn from it. I had to shorten my answer a bit, else google wouldn’t let me post it. I left my email at the bottom. Firstly in brief: Leuchtstoff has been a place where people not only enjoy our coffee and food - but also meet and hang out and: where they work. We understand this as a quite normal part of our role in the neighborhood. We did however find that without any regulations the cafe easily turns into a socially sterile co-working space which we dont want to be. People hide behind their laptop screens and dont interact - fair enough: but too much of that leaves us a feelibg like a weird office, not a neighborhood cafe. Leichtstoff is a place to enjoy very good coffee, housemade cakes and organic food with friends new and old. A place to meet people and lastly: also a place to get some work done if you are into working in a cafe. So we regulate the use of laptops (because yes: laptops are the tools which represent all the antisocial aspects of working in a cafe, so this is where we - like so many cafes - chose to draw the line). We allow them mo-fr in the second and third room where most of the seating is located - but not on the weekends. Why? Because we dont want a working atmosphere in the cafe on the weekends and we have to draw the line somewhere. We try to navigate this with a combination of signs that explain our policies and on top of that many a conversation with folks who missed or misunderstand our signs. For this of course our staff dont always have time and capacity which results in situations when people do sit around with laptops before we have a chance to tell em: no laptops today, thank you. So far so good. What went wrong here? I am struggling a bit here because it would be very easy to say: my friend, the signs were there you just didnt see/read them. Maybe since they are in German. If that language barrier is your indication that you/digital nomads are unwelcome I have to say I disagree quite a bit. I beg your pardon, but this seems more like a lack of respect on your part for the local culture and language than anything else. Secondly if an employee in a cafe tells you: „sorry, you cant use a laptop here on weekends“ - what is there to argue? She simply repeated a rule of our place which you had not understood yet. (However, I can relate to a confusing situation if at the time of your arrival other folks were also using laptops.) And yes - this is a stressful situation for our staff and no they dont have time to do all the explaining that I am doing now. In a more perfect world, they would have time for this and so many other meaningful interactions with our guests …but who would pay for that „overpriced“ cappuccino if you get my meaning. Those aspects make it a bit hard for me to accommodate your feeling of not being welcome. You are totally welcome here - anyone with laptop mo-fr, without laptop anytime. But lets look at how we could avoid bad feelings like this. To avoid unclear situations and the frustration that ensues we are thinking about limiting the tables for laptop users in general and marking the tables very clearly. After trying multiple softer regimes it might just make life less complicated for everyone involved. Again, I am sorry our colleagues did not initially show you the reaction and patience you needed. But I read your account like you have some understanding for them as well. Id be happy to continue this conversation and treat you to a friendly cup of top 20% coffee :) David@leuchtstoff.berlin

Willie: Had a good time here with the best croissant in town 😋
Response: Thanks Willie! Glad to hear you love our croissants

Ksenia Sirota: Loved that there’s a large offering of coffee from local roasters. Didn’t like that the banana bread I’ve got was dry with one side being stale from sitting on the shelf for some time. There was some hint on leaving a tip though I took my order to go. Hope for a better experience for the next customers

Fatima M: Loved the interior, the iced latte is good.Highly recommend the lemon cake, soooooo yummy. Also they’re so kind!
Response: Thank you Fatima :)

Karolina Connolly: I love it. The interior ordered is very interesting not something that we got used to see in coffee shops. There are places you can climb like a mini second floor open space with places to sit and tables which is cool. Super friendly stuff that speaks perfect English. Reality coffee and even vegan desert, vegan milk, alternative coffee. I love it! Seems like a very popular place.

Irene Schreiber Braccini: Best coffee, superb attention! The person at the cashier was super attentive help me choose a bean that suits my taste, with buying the coffee grains they gave me a free coffee. The location is beautiful and desserts are delicious too. Do try it if you’re a coffee fan!
Response: Hello dear Irene, thanks so much for your bloody good review <3

Marilena K.: I've been couple times here for breakfast, brunch and it never disappoints. Staff is always nice and friendly (and English speaking). Their food menu is unique, I enjoy the flavor profiles and ingredient combinations they offer. Their banana bread and cakes are nice, but nothing extraordinary. Their chai latte is meh. Prices have been increasing crazily, but that's what inflation does I guess. Payment only by card.
Response: Hi Marilena, thanks for your bloody good review <3

S: Espresso, Cappuccino and other drinks (OJ!!) are simply as they should be: amazing! Also the food is really good. But not just another avocado toast, but rather they have their own interpretation. Instead of avocado, they use edamame and tomatoes - and it’s great! The chia pudding is great as well. Strongly recommended! In my opinion, it’s one of the best coffeeshops in Berlin. The staff baristas and roasters for sure know what they are doing - excellent work. By the way, they also sell their beans in their online shop!
Response: Hi S, thanks so much for your bloody good review <3 We hope to see you again soon!

Annie Xiong: Really nice cafe to sit with a friend and chat or work on your laptop. There is lots of seating and some great cakes and drinks! I had a ginger bread cake and hot chocolate with oat milk and it was great.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Response: Hi Annie, thanks for your bloody good review <3

Justin King: Always great coffee. English speaking staff that is a good thing and a bad thing. But of course they are very friendly. Busy and lively, and a great place for a meeting with friends or business colleagues.
Response: Hi Justin, thanks a lot for you great review - what's missing for the fifth star? :)

ev a: One of the best coffee shops in town.Great taste, bloody good coffee :)Even my mum and grandma in France are huge fans ( I always have to order for them so that they never run out of espresso). You see, fans all over the world.
Response: Hi Eva - thanks so much for your bloody good review <3

Faruk Yazıcı: I was searching for a cafe to work with my laptop for half an hour and have some coffee&cake together. Luckily discovered this place. It's a cozy place with friendly people, and some awesome vegan cakes and coffee. Totally recommended.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Response: Hi Faruk, thanks so much for your bloody good feedback <3

Thao: When I was there last Sunday I ordered a cucumber salad which was a side dish from the menu. When the food arrived it was larger than I had it before so I asked the waitress "is this usually a small dish?" And she responded no. When I first ate the dish, I realized that it was instead the zucchini salad, my friend also tried it to make sure. So we told the waitress who responded rudely "so you just ate it?". I thought that was quite unfriendly especially because the slices of zucchinini was covered in sauce so it was not easy to distinguish between the two. Been here multiple times even on quiet days the service is slow and staff are not so friendly. Good thing is that you can pay with card and also the food is usually good so I'll give them that one. However, the service can be improved...
Response: Hi Thao, thanks a lot for your feedback. This helps us impvoing the overall experience. Have a great week! Best, your 19grams Team

Sofya Sinyakova: The coffee was cold and the food was very plain. It appeared as if the cook cared more about the look than the taste. The service wasn’t very pleasant and we didn’t feel welcome.
Response: Hi Sofya, thanks so much for your feedback - we are sure you will have a better experience with your next visit. Warmest regards, your 19grams Crew

Manuel Gil Ferreira: 0 flaws! My favourite coffee shop in Fhain - the staff is SUPER friendly, the cakes are delicious and with generous portions and the coffee is pretty good too. There's lots of space so you don't scramble for a spot and it is conveniently located!
Response: Wow thank you! We are very happy to help ☕️🍰

19grams Alex - Café, Kaffeerösterei & Event Location: what do users think?

Michael C: A cafe for coffee that is really hipster. The roast is delicious, and we had a wonderful brunch, but the eggplant was the highlight of the meal. In addition to that, give the rice porridge a shot. I have tried a lot of other cold brews, but this one is by far the best. Additionally, the personnel was friendly and kind. In general, it's a pleasant adventure to have.
Response: Hi Michael - thanks a lot for your bloody good review <3

Enrico Becker: 19grams serves one of the best coffees in Berlin they are a cafe / coffee roastery which means they roast there own coffee in-house. They are similar to an Australian style cafe place, which means they also server nice brunch food, not like most other coffee roaster places in Germany that just serve good coffee but no food. Here you can actually go for Brunch and have a Egg Benedict or other yummy dishes. I can only highly recommend them.
Response: Hi Enrico, thanks so much for your bloody good feedback <3

Olga Kostova: Friendly and caring staff, delicious food, like really-really good, I had to compliment the chef. Coffee is also great. Conveniently there is a bottle of water on each table, and they will bring you the next one, when notice you are almost done with geh first. The space is well organized, lots of tables, enough space in between, music is not too loud, you can come with your laptop, small or big group of friends, the place is just accommodating.
Response: Hi Olga, thanks so much for your bloody good review! We hope to see you again very soon. <3

Alena Kirdina: Definitely the best 3rd wave coffee in Berlin and outstanding interior which always has a free spot for you. The food has been pretty average, but changed for better in their last menu.
Response: Hi Alena, thanks so much for your bloody good review <3

ellie: Excellent for brunch + work. They have a dedicated conference room for this purpose that has powerpoints under the bar tables with a huge work table in the middle. I was very productive that day. Cauliflower dish I had was amazing too.
Response: Hi Elli, thanks so much for your bloody good review <3

avichai Isaiah: Great service, a bit slowly compared to Sunday. The meals were huge, delicious and satisfying.Fair prices.Nice and quiet environment.
Response: Hi Avichai - thanks so much for this bloody good review. We hope to see you again soon <3

Barbara Szymonowicz: Wonderful place for coffee and breakfast. Food was awesome and surprisingly. Very friendly service. Good location.
Response: Hi Barbara, thanks so much for your bloody good review <3

Wunna Zander: Tried to book a table over phone for 10 pax as online only allowed 6pax, no answer several times. Luckily. Stopped by in person to view the place and make a reservation ( decided otherwise). Atmosphere not cozy, rather plain and cold. Greeting and reaction of staff not inviting. Definitely not reflecting our coffee culture in Australia.
Response: Hi Wunna, thanks for your review although you have not even been a guest in our place. Stop by for a coffee some time soon <3 Happy Brewing, your 19grams Crew

Ngoc Tr: I ordered Eggs Benedict. What I got was two ok poached eggs with a tasteless hollandaise sauce accompanied by a very watery + under-salt side of oyster mushroom. The only good thing in this plate was the polenta. Coffee was meh. Service was slow.
Response: Hi Ngoc, thanks for sharing your experience. We are sorry that you did not enjoy your meal and hope you have communicated this in time with our servants as we would have been happy to swap your food. Warmest regards, your 19grams Team

Berlin Gal: My go-to coffee place in Alexanderplatz! Coffee‘s bloody tasty, and I love 19grams‘s sustainability approach and love for coffee. Developed a new addiction, their zero waste coffee shots which are my instant happiness potion.
Response: HI Sandra, thanks so much for your great review! We hope to see you soon again <3

Isla coffee Berlin: what do users think?

Caitlin Conley: I came here three different times while visiting Berlin. Staff is very friendly. On the third visit we sat down for breakfast, and I was beyond impressed with the food. So not skip the mushroom Mushrooms on Toast. The Kimcheese sandwich was also amazing. Very cute and simple indoor space.

Ozlem: We went there for the breakfast, asked if they have a table and seated. Then waited for some time with the expectation of having the menu soon. They didn’t bring the menu, and we didn’t want to wait for the breakfast and ordered cake and coffee. Our coffees were prepared and waited at the bar for a while, because there were no one to serve it. If they told us we should order first or get the food/drink by ourselves we would do that btw. Anyways, cakes were delicious, tahini cream chocolate cake is definitely worth to try.
Response: Hi Ozlem, we’re sorry about the confusion regarding the service. We’re a self-service cafe, which we try to communicate on the menus at the counter, as well as on the big coffee menu on the wall, as well as when we greet our guests upon arrival. Sadly, this doesn’t prevent things from going wrong from time to time. However, we always serve the drinks and food to you at your table once you’ve ordered at the counter. So, we’re not sure what went wrong there. Again, our apologies. We’re glad you got your coffee and cake in the end and that you enjoyed it.

yasmine: prettiest toast i ever had! so so delicious! i they also have really good coffee & the staff is super friendly - they make you feel right at home. i recommend the smoky mushroom toast
Response: We're so happy to hear this, Yasmine!

Jonas: Amazing Flat Whites as well as delicious smooth drip coffee. Definitely go for the Queen As if you'd like something sweet &salty on the side. Staff is incredibly welcoming. Will definitely come back here!Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Response: Thanks a lot, Jonas!

Maroosya LK: Coffee and food are on the next level! They've got an amazing menu. On the picture you see a brioche I had with ricotta cheese and sweet potato on top, but there are way more awesome options. The only thing I regret, is that it's not a place to study with a laptop, so I felt a pressure to leave
Response: We're glad you liked the coffee and food, Maroosya! That's what we're here for. Sadly, we don't have the space to offer a place to study, but we hope you come back as a customer.

Melina Barhagh: Really, really good coffee! And although their food menu was limited, it was very tasty! We will definitely go there again.
Response: Thanks for the review! Our kitchen will be back to its full glory in October :)

Leitha Matz: Don’t miss the garden out back. A small oasis in a busy neighborhood. They’re really the best coffee around, and I highly recommend the warm polenta loaf with caramelized onions.
Response: Thanks so so much, Leitha. Your message is why we do this :)

Riccardo Mengacci: Isla is a very nice and welcoming food place in Berlin. The food was amazing, especially the Granola, with its crunchy and sweet ingredients. All details are in place! In addition, the the two girls who work there are so kind and professional. Don't miss to visit this place for a fresh, healthy, and fast brunch!
Response: We're so glad you had a nice time with us, Riccardo. Thanks for trusting us with your all-holy breakfast and coffee!

Suada B.: Went here with my boyfriend for my birthday brunch in December. The staff is friendly and I found the place cozy! Food was delicious and fresh! We’ll go back and I really recommend it!
Response: Hi Suada, we're so glad you had a nice time and look forward to the next visit.

Alexa: Really nice place. Friendly staff. Good food! 5* :)(Try the hot 70%Dark Chocolate drink! AMAZING)
Response: Yay Alexa, we’re so glad you had a nice time.

Hallesches Haus - General Store, Lunchroom & Event Space: what do users think?

maryam bahrami: I like the place. It has open space and a cute little shop. There is an outside terrace that is perfect for sunny and warm days. I had the poached eggs (listed as HAUS EGGS YOUR WAY on the menu) with an extra sourdough waffle. The eggs were perfectly poached, and the waffle taste was interesting as I’m not used to sourdough waffles. The staffs were friendly and nothing to complain about. They also accept cards payment, which is a good extra point. It’s better to make a reservation on weekends to avoid disappointment. If you are into checking different cafes, I recommend putting this place on your list.

Suzana: Hallesches Haus has been one of my favorite places in Berlin for the last 5 years. I love everything about this place. The food is always fresh and delicious, the staff very kind and the building is just amazing. We love to go there especially on the weekends for the brunch and then some shopping in the deco store they have. The drinks are also very yummy and in summer the garden is just the best!

Maggie Walecka: Not a long time ago I went to this place for breakfast. The place is very bright and spacious and that's why I really liked it. I sat down at the terrace and there was a reservation at the table but it was coming at 12pm and it was just 11am so for me it was fine, I just wanted to eat breakfast. I ordered and while I was eating my breakfast one male staff member came to my table with other people saying that this is a reserved table and he needs a table back. At this point it was 11.30am. I was a bit confused. The reservation came early but I had another 30 minutes and was in a middle of eating. He eventually found another table but his approach wasn't cool at all. I'm giving 3stars because the place is nice, good is good but the staff needs to learn how to speak with their guests.

Loay: I heard great things about that brunch place, but never had the chance to try it until one of my friends invited me there. It was very busy and had a nice atmosphere, it is located directly on the river, I loved the setting. When I wanted to order brunch, it took me a while to understand the ingredients in the dishes, the combinations seemed very strange to me, then I decided to go with sunny side up eggs on sourdough bread. The dish was expensive and tasted mediocre. Many of our friends ordered other dishes and had the same experience, didn't even know what they were eating and some even left their plates completely untouched. When it was time to pay, the waiter was very unpatient and annoyed that we wanted to pay separate as we were a big group In the end there was one plate left unpaid and while we were trying to figure out who didn't pay it, he said no need to pay it's on me, now please let's move on, I was shocked of his behavior and in general really struggled to understand what's the hype is all about this place

Elisabeth Charlotte: Very friendly services. Simple menu, not much options but nice food and good presentation. Had ordered poached eggs but turned out were boiled eggs. Grill tomatos were not really grilled. A bit disappointed with this. Overall is fine.

Sahadehvah Suppiah: Food is good and the choc ganache in particular was great. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. We walked in on a Sunday at 2pm, the place was quite full but we and managed to get a table indoors. I'm taking 3 stars off due to the presence of numerous fruit flies that were swarming around us throughout our meal. It was not easy to get a clear photo of them due to the size
Response: Hi there, we are sorry to hear this, apologies. Please get in touch with us at reservations@hallescheshaus.com, thank you!

Dominika Valkova: This place is great for brunch or breakfast. The staff was really friendly, even though we didn’t have a reservation they’ve squeezed us in (2 people). The waffle dish had very unique taste, eg peas purée, ideally you take a little of everything from your plate at once. One downside was price for extra bacon, two small slices for €3.50 is a tad too much.

Viktoriia Bochkova: I think that random curry wurst would bring me more joy than this place. Waiting list was about 30 minutes. Then we waited almost an hour for two brunch options. 1.5 hours for what? For an overhyped overroasted piece of bread with hodgepodge of ingredients which didn’t work well together. Was it fried mango, sweet potato or what? Hard to say. Need an explanation why this place is so popular.

Ozlem: When I saw the menu first, I thought I wont be satisfied, and even thought going to another place after. But, it was one of the best brunches I had in Berlin. Cool atmosphere, good coffee, and a generous/delicious brunch.

Anna Kuprienko: It's a very typical Berlin place (in a good sense): open space, store & café. I was late for brunch, unfortunately, so I got a cheese toast, carrot cake and coffee. And I was glad. Salty lemon lemonade was pretty interesting - it's good when you're thirsty

The Visit Coffee Roastery: what do users think?

Nhi Tuyet Vu: A very cool cafe with bright, youthful and minimalistic decor. Delicious roasted coffee with very reasonable prices. This is also an ideal place to work or study. Well worth a visit 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Response: Thanks for your kind words :)

minami habu: They have many seats to get a coffee or work, and good meals but sometimes it gets crowded and noisy, and I feel the vibe is a little gloomy compared to other cafes (maybe it depends on weather). Wifi, Study, Work
Response: Thanks for your honesty about your experience. The fact that our coffeshop is pretty big it offers space for a lot of people and sometimes when its full of course it will be a bit louder, but usually our coffeshop is a peacful place to relax or work.

March Hebæk: one of my fave cafes in berlin! staff is super sweet, coffee and matcha is good. the slices of cake are huge!!! you can study and work here for hours, the music the play is good (taste!!!) and toilet is clean. i got a stamp card because i know i'll be back, for sure:--) update: I've been back loads of times by now and i haven't been dissatisfied yet!!
Response: Thank you so much :) Glad all our efforts pay off.

Joerg Schudrowitz: They do know their business. Cool location, cool ambiance, good coffee. That is Berlin. If you are into coffee it is worth a detour.
Response: Thanks Joerg, happy to read these lines :)

Daryl Robson-Gomm: I read reviews saying this place was the best breakfast in Berlin and I was not disappointed! The food is on another level and is so delicious. The coffee is excellent too! We waited in line for a table but only for 5-10 minutes but it was worth the wait. This beats anywhere else I have eaten in Berlin! Perfection!
Response: Thank you so much :)

Alisa Pavliuk: 🇺🇦 I was here one year ago and promised them to write a review on Google Maps because my coffee was unbelievably good 🙌🏻 A year has passed but Visit is still the best cup of coffee in my life ✨ Highly recommended!
Response: Hey Alisa :) Thank you so much.

Patrick Plaggenborg: Full black and white coffee roastery where everything looks industrial and stylish. From the coffee machines on the countertops and the qooker water taps to the sitting area to the staff clothing. Clean and minimal design to make the coffee flavors stand out. Fancy V60 coffee from Peru and Colombia at the moment, and they have decaf espresso. Nice terrace on the inner courtyard as well.
Response: We got the minimal style :) Happy you liked it. Thanks a lot.

Irina Dimova: Lovely place with great coffee and atmosphere The best coffee in Berlin for sure! And please don't eat this dessert with chia, I want it to be mine alone💔
Response: Thank you :)

The BYFFR Company: The best coffee in Berlin and their mango chia pudding is SOOOOO GOOD, and their acai bowl is so fresh and delicious, the staff is so friendly and helpful and the interior is super cozy. Highly recommended.
Response: Much love :) Thank you so much.

Teresa Andrade Pinto: Best coffee in Berlin, absolutely loved it, went there so many times to work, tried almost everything on the menu, super good coffee and food. Shout out to the manager and his daughter, super sweet always!
Response: That is so nice of you :) Makes us happy to read this.

St. Oberholz: what do users think?

Tamara Kokošarević: I can't say there was anything special about the place. I wasn't there to study or work, just to relax and have my morning coffee. I ordered double espresso with cold milk on the side, but it was good, really good, so I came back the next day. If it's close to your accommodation and you don't want anything posh, just to enjoy your morning espresso and some people-watching, I can recommend it. :)

yasmine: the almond blondie is really nice, the quality of the coffee is great, the vibe of the place really encourages you to get some work done, the staff is friendly and they have good wifi. no complaints.

Ece Ozkan: Good coffee and it is remote work friendly! If you are looking for a cofffeshop with WiFi where you can do some work, St. Oberholz is the place. Tried the filter and The Oberholz - which is oat foam ices cappuccino - and definitely recommend both! Especially the second one is pretty unique and tasty.

Nhi Tuyet Vu: Super cool interior design, laptop- friendly coworking space. I’ll give 4 stars if the coffee isn’t overpriced with small portion and quite bad quality. The new iced cappuccino is too sour as normal cappuccino, cold brew is tasteless. I decided to go there just to have a new place to work so I didn’t expect to a good coffee cup but I have to say that I was disappointed after paying and drinking something like coffee flavored water. Prices are around 4€.

Erika Rosen: A nice place with a co-working vibe. Try the iced cappuccino with oat foam! It’s delicious and great for hot summer days.

Matthew Clauson: Never had a hashbrown in a bread. I found it bland. The menu for this croque did not include onions as an ingredient and was ordered by our friend who cannot have onions. Small issue but she could not eat. Small table so had to drink our coffee fast to make room for the hashbrown. At the time ordering we were prompted to pay tip by card PRIOR to the service and finishing of the food. This is not how tipping works. It's rude. Positives: excellent coffee and cappuccinos! Super. Another plus was the (very) small pickle salad which came on the side of the sad potato and cheese sandwich. Waitress was friendly and prompt although could've used a lil help as it was quite busy.

David L: Went here during the evening for a DJ set and tried to order a beer alongside my friend. Instead, the tap ran out splashing foam everywhere and it took them over 15 minutes to set up the tap again. When the bartender filled it up our beers, he only did so halfway with the rest of the glass being foam, and ignored us when we asked to get our full glass worth. On top of that, the beer tasted horrible and was warm. Absolutely terrible experience- there are way better bars/clubs/cafes in the area.

Mayara May: “Great place to work from and the food and coffee are impeccable. Special shout out to the Brazilian guy I think it’s danilo, very friendly and has great customer skills! Def will come back

Tobias Lichtmann: Customer: "A St. Blend, please" Barkeeper: "What?" Customer: "A St. Blend, please" Barkeeper: "I dont know?" Customer: *pointing onto the menu* Barkeeper: "Ah, a filter coffee" (Menu reads "St. Blend"). Customer: *Yes, a St. Blend" - how it says on the menu. Bottom line: Either: Too cool to know your own menu. Or simply: Very little of customer service ... somewhat entertaining.

Margaret Ann: The coffee is okay but fhe food is very overpriced. I used to enjoy coming here ocassionally to take part in fhe Sunday drawing class upstairs... however now the class has been told that fhey will need to pay almost 20 euros per person to be there for an hour.. I'm not sure if that included a coffee or not... probably not... Meantime people sit downstairs with their laptops plugged in for hours and sip on one coffee whilst they use the WiFi. Way to go in losing regular weekly customers! I couldn't think why I would come and drink overpriced coffee otherwise at rosenthaler platz.

The Barn Café: what do users think?

Triin Roomet: Yes! If you appreciate good coffee, this is THE place to go. The coffee was amazing! I ordered a cappuccino with oat milk, the barista was very kind and they also had some very nice pastries (did not buy but I am sure they were nice!) overall vibe was chill, minimalistic, Scandinavian. There are seats inside so you can enjoy your coffee indoors as well.

Victor Abadio: Food menu is short but everything is delicious. Had the stuffed croissant and the cake. Both great. Also the best hot chocolate I had my stay in Berlin! Creamy and not overly sweet. The staff is incredibly friendly, fast and knowledgeable about coffee. One hundred percent recommend it!

Kadien Kent: Some of the best coffee ive had. Carrot Cake was delicious as well - not too sweet and very moist. Staff was very friendly, especially Sam! Nice decor inside - Less is more! Will come here again!

Greig Stuart Torpey: Lovely little modern cafe, delicious cakes and hot chocolate. A little overpriced but well worth the visit. Staff were lovely and atmosphere was great. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Covid friendly

Hülya Ülger: Delicious coffee, very helpfull & nice staff, beatiful coffe shop, various good quality coffee beans!

Gustav Vang: Excellent coffee, service minded staff, cosy place. You can't go wrong if you actually like coffee without wiped cream-caramel sprinkled-oreo filled-ice frappé. Buy the coffee to stay for the best experience. The Barn are often placed in neighbourhoods with below average traffic, not in malls. On my favourites list

Christakis Psyllides: One of the best coffees in Berlin-Mitte for sure. Very consistent throughout their numerous branches. Loses a star because others provide a great coffee in the area too but also have toilets (which Barn never does!) and food (Barn has very few options and none very fresh). A pity as with toilets and food, Barn would be the best cafe chain anywhere I have ever travelled to.

Addyson Reimer: Had a lovely breakfast here. The coffee and hot chocolate was fantastic. The cakes were wonderful too. Will be back.

Vishwa Vijay Singh: This place is great! Had iced flat white, and loved it so much ended up having one more and buying the beans. The baristas are lovely to talk to and will definitely increase one’s coffee knowledge!

Nikola Todorovic: Excellent coffee (tried an espresso and nitro cold brew) and very polite, patient and knowledgeable staff. The place is packed and yet they will still take the time to explain different roast types and flavors. Highly recommended!

Herman Schulz Café-Bar: what do users think?

Bordenrat 7: A wholesome around the corner. The ambience is very calm and stuck in time. The interiors are old wooden based masterpieces. The person at the counter is friendly and helpful. Tried the Käsekuchen and it was so good. Not too high in sweetness yet has a lovely homemade flair to it. Besides the great pastries, its also a cozy place to come spend your afternoons reading or working

St L: Don't walk by! Super fun little cafe and bar. Had their matcha latte with oat milk and it was outstanding. Service was good too. Loads of cozy seats available. Will be back soon!Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Zoe P.: Very cute location and original interior! BUT service is highly lacking professionalism! If it wasn’t for the yummy bagel this place would not even be worth one star. The cakes are quiet delicious for vegan conditions. The service was very long. It would be nice if their was a little bit more of friendly smiles within the staff.

Wojciech Futro: Very lovely laid back café, amazing cakes and very good drinks like smoothies or lemonades. I love the quaint atmosphere inside. There are seats outside and inside. On important note: you can't pay there with debit/credit cards. Staff is very friendly. Quite interesting toilet inside as icing on cake. Overall great place to visit. Vegetarian options: Many vegan options encompassing vegan cakes, plant-based substitutes of milk etc. Parking: Paid public on streets nearby

Serena Ma: I liked the place’s vibe in general, staff is also really nice, and they support unknown artists giving them the chance to exhibit there, in a small yet very cozy room. I’ve been there for a little concert. They have vegan options too. Service is quick and friendly, recommended for chill nice evenings. I’d put 5 stars if I didn’t know that artists don’t get paid, which I think is quite unfair, since events always bring extra customers :)

Eric Woo: Nice local cafe serving coffee and cakes. Coffee is decent but the highlight is their homemade cakes and atmosphere.

Shahar Pery: Old living room vibes, love the chill and special, carefully selected music. There’s a specified area for laptops, free wifi. Variety of good vegan cakes, bagels (fake salmon is great) and soup. There is usually a quiche which was not the best in my opinion. Hot wine and lots of drinks, great coffee!

Christo Phillm: Very comfortable bar with a nice and cosy Kachelofen, cake, soup and drinks. It's very chill and laid back.Food: 3/5 | Service: 3/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Daria Utopia: This place is really unique! The design is all over the place in the best way possible and it makes everything feel like you're at home (a crazy cozy home) The employees or owners of the place are friendly, they speak English as well as tolerating my aweful Deutsch.. There is WiFi food and drinks (great cake that looks homemade) and a place to plug the computer. All in all this place is great and warmly recommend.

SungW: Good vibes in a favorable way to foreigners like me who can only speak in English but little in German. And a strange guest, the funny dog at the entrance. belligerent only to passer-by dogs but friendly to humans. He hates his kinds.

Chapter One Coffee: what do users think?

Anat Lev Hacohen: This place will make you irresistible to high-end coffee!Fantastic taste, lovely service. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Sonia Ran: I wish they had more seating. It got a bit hectic on the weekend. Nice coffee, I had a flat white with oat milk.

Bjorn Hauksson: The best coffee in Berlin!Recommend their two portions of filter, Colombia origin.

Vedat Dicleli: Hipster coffee place, cool minimalist decor and espresso with distinctive flavour. Less intense and fruity versus a stronger and more bitter espresso in Italy a contrast

N P: Possibly the best flat white I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. I felt sad when it was over. I live in Kenya and grow coffee, didn’t expect the best espresso drink of the year to be in Berlin! I need to up my game. These people are true experts 🙇🏼‍♂️

Wooyong: My favorite cafe in Berlin! Barista is professional and gentle. He always keeps smile and brings customers good mood!Latte and filter are really nice!Taste:💛💛💛💛💛(5 stars)Service:💛💛💛💛💛(5stars)

Dom: An unique coffee experience not only in the taste, but also the way some types of coffee are presented. Definitely a hipsterish café with many interesting people around. The choice of coffee is good and the taste delicious. Not too bitter and perfectly smooth. Staff was friendly and polite. All was served quickly. The atmosphere is cool! Prices are on avarage, depending on what you take. What I like is that water was offered. Try it out, it's worth it.

Julie: Well trained and friendly staff. A bit pricy than other coffee shops around (one filter coffee plus one pastry 5,60€). But the great atmosphere compensates it. Kind of a hipster coffee shop hiding in a quite alley.

Maximilian v. K.: Pour over from Columbia was extra ordinarily well balanced and such a nice sweetness. It was a very well brewed coffee. I would rate five stars if chapter one would deliver consistent results but when I was one week later full of anticipation of getting served this amazing filter coffee again It just didn't taste as good as the week before. It's an overall really nice coffee place. I can fully recommend it also the pastries.

Fatih Etke: When la marzocco leva 90 meets with coffee beans you get the best taste of espresso. Atmosphere is amazing. Well experienced baristas, One of the best coffee and machine, Affordable price, Possible to sit outside, The main reason for 4 star is structure and interior of place. If you are coffee lover, you should visit this place.
