Vogelgnadenhof und Altenheim für Tiere: what do users think?

Marc Tschirner (Transformer): I just wanted to donate money but after these lousy reviews no way! ...It is known that many rip-offs appropriate the donations and the animals are abused for it. The rating of "Nemesis" in particular speaks volumes. And that no one takes a position on this either.... Bad!!! ...you have to be careful where and to whom a Terfreund wants to donate money... This association has been disqualified here on Google.

Kristiane Duntsch: I got friends there for my two lonely female budgies in a very uncomplicated way. Now I have a mini crush that gets happy with each other. Now there are three girls and three boys happily chirping together. There is enough space and they already harmonize with each other. Nice people there helped me a lot, for which I will always be grateful.

Clemens Hauf: What is being done cannot be rated with 5 stars and it is not appreciated by the Senate, which is a pity

Jan Fuchs: never been there Google Maps is crazy🤣🤣🤣

Nemesis: The concern - caring for old sick animals - is commendable! I have known the club since 2010, for 10 years. I increasingly feel bad and am concerned about the welfare of the animals living there. I miss animal welfare in the aviaries of the birds. Captive birds also need toys to keep them busy and not just crouch on each other in boredom. Play equipment is missing in the aviaries. It is not enough to just install thicker branches in the aviaries. As in nature, branches should have different diameters and should be arranged so that the birds not only jump from branch to branch, but also have space to fly. In the Falkenberg shelter it is very nice to see how creatively aviaries can be designed if you are smart enough, really love the birds and want to do good to the birds. I can understand the neighborhood's annoyance at overcrowded events and on Sunday, too. Not only people suffer from noise. The noise scares the animals! Apparently the owners / keepers and the participants in the parties lack sensitivity, respect and consideration for the well-being of the animals and neighbors. The association's flyer states that caring for the animals should cost 8,000 euros per month. What is 8000 euros needed for? The grounds, the animal houses and the garden make a gruesome, dirty, neglected impression. There I saw at least four large dogs in the unkempt bare yard. Every dog as big as a German shepherd. Such dogs have to be employed, they need at least 5 kilometers of exercise and training every day. I can hardly imagine that the owners walk several kilometers of GASSI with the dogs every day. Or that the association does the GASSIGEHEN with volunteers. Donations of money are taken for granted without comment and without a thank you. The telephone consultation times stated in the flyer will not be adhered to. I miss positive customer-friendly and service-oriented communication. Honestly, I don't have a good feeling about the responsible work of the association for the welfare of animals. I hope the animals are well looked after and not just a means to an end to raise funds ...?

Birgit Schelkmann: Love and competent care is not enough. Old and/or sick animals find a last home here. Originally intended as a bird sanctuary ... other animals quickly found their way there. All animals are not only provided with food by the carers, helpers, etc., but also with a lot of stroking. The veterinary care is also perfect. I was able to get an idea of all this for myself a few weeks ago, because I was allowed to adopt my dog girl rescued from Romania from there. As far as donations from individuals go, I personally think a cash donation is better than bringing a few cans of food. From what I understand they are also supported by a large pet food chain.

Volker Sachse: The sanctuary is certainly a sensible facility. However, the occasional events on Sunday afternoons are unreasonable, even though I live 300 meters away. The loudspeaker system is set so absurdly loud! According to a press release, the police had to be called once. I promise the organizer: I too will call the police the next Sunday noise. And one thing you should keep in mind: Animal welfare is important, but the welfare of humans should come before the welfare of the animal.

Christa Neye: An experience for bird lovers and those who want to become one. Great that there is such a thing and such people. Competent and loving care of the animals. Very very interesting and worth a visit.

Eckhardt von Cloppenburg-Bensgenstein: It's a good thing that there are such sensitive people in our society who volunteer to take care of older animals that have been left alone. Big respect!! Donating to this association is a worthwhile and grateful cause. Eckhardt v. cb

Marlon: You can already hear and see many animals from the bridge (Hebammensteig). A nice idea.

Katzen in Not Berlin e.V.: what do users think?

intranetmiri: Some time ago, Mrs. Noto and Mrs. Jarozs gave us our cat Ruby, who has developed great and is happy to be a single princess here again. Many thanks again on this way. Your commitment to cat protection and the good feeling for the needs of humans and animals are something special.

Claudia: Open conversation over the phone with plenty of time for advice on our search for a partner cat. In contrast to other intermediaries in Berlin, the discussions are at eye level and honest. Ms. Noto gets a lot of requests, so you have to remember to follow up and give context every time - that's completely normal. You have to have a lot of patience both in the search and in getting used to it. Everyone wants a cuddle cat right away without putting in a lot of work, but no one knows in advance how a cat will behave in a new environment. We got a "shy", 12-year-old tomcat who lived under our bed for 5 months and then developed into a cuddly absolute dream tomcat.

Qaiser Abbasi: Really top club! We adopted a young pair of cats.

Holly Hope: We got two little tomcats through Ms. Noto very quickly, which corresponded 100% to what we wanted and the character of the animals was described absolutely correctly. The cat foster home, in which the animals were taken care of in the meantime, was PERFECT! The supervisor is an animal lover through and through, which you can see very quickly in the character of the animals there. She has, so to speak, "the right eye" and advises very competently. If Ms. Noto seems a bit "rough" ... every person is different, we all also have stressful times. Ultimately, it's the result that counts. And compared to the Berlin animal shelter, where we also looked at everything, I think you will find much more aggressive, conspicuous animals there. Financially, all of this is more than correct. Almost a bargain, if you consider what the individual services at the vet cost, plus the care of the animals through to placement and any travel costs. I would look for a tiger here again anytime.

Andrea Roskosch: Keep it up! Here everyone is helped as quickly as possible, no matter what problem you have. For the few people and a voluntary work that's really great! More is not possible with the best will in the world! The advice is great too. It is an animal protection association and the people help and advise without earning anything, on the contrary, there are so many people in need that a lot is paid for it, not to mention the time and nerves that are left with it! Thanks to the association, far fewer animals end up in animal shelters.

AssasinAKW Wari: As many young and healthy cats as are adopted here do not stray through Berlin. It all seems more like a thriving business. I really had to scroll to see an animal, which was/is really difficult to convey. I think if the animal shelter is the better partner for humans and animals. Update Suddenly animals from Spain are mediated. Hands off this club. Anyone who asks for donations should also be honest.

Ani -: I adopted three cats from the association Katzen in Not e.V. I've only had good experiences. I had time to think about every cat. I could have returned them within a certain time if the chemistry wasn't right. No cats are "sold" here for profit! The adoption fee is reasonable and the money is used to pay the club’s veterinary costs, among other things. Volunteer caregivers are important. Although the people in the foster home pay the feed costs themselves, you can take the foster animal to the contract vet after consultation with the association. As a foster home, you do not have to pay medical expenses. But you can only drive to the vets who have a treatment contract with the association. If you go to another vet, you have to pay the costs yourself. I was a foster home myself for a year before adopting three cats. It is a thoroughly reputable association and the focus is on the well-being of the cats!

Saliha Dogan: Super friendly and helpful, they helped me right away, many thanks and a lot of strength and success for the great work you all do every day

San W: A highly competent, extremely dedicated and experienced lady who dedicates her life to cats! She helped us with the 2 cat adoptions like no other cat does. When it comes to bringing sensitive animals together, she has a wealth of experience that is second to none and passes it on for the benefit of all cats. She helps VOLUNTEER all animals! Foreign animals sit there (because someone complained about this) because people order one and then ask this association to help them with the placement because they didn't think twice about it, have no money, allergies, etc. So there is nothing to complain about! Cheers to such people! In addition, this work helps to avoid that the cats have to go to the animal shelter!

Wact Cat: Very great mediation. The cats are socialized in a family setting (fosters) and are used to people and other animals as well as the litter box.

Tierschutzverein für Berlin: what do users think?

Arikia Millikan: Really amazing center and facilities for the orphan animals of Berlin. They take a lot of care to make sure the animals find good homes where all their needs will be met.
Response: Thank you very much :-)

Tom LeFatty: Me and my boyfriend came few weeks ago, on Friday, during the opening hours. Sadly, we were not able to visit any dogs, nor cats. They gave us some lame excuse. Frankly lame, because one would assume the organization would have the decency sticking to their scheduled times. Afterall, we all love animals and want the best for them. Like finding a good caring home. Needless to say, i don't understand what is the point of Tierschutz Berlin if not Re homing animals that are brought there. Hope you can sort this mess out and not only for wasting our and many other peoples time no doubt. But mostly the

Fan Yuan: A huge, organized and very friendly animal shelter operated by animal lovers. All cats, dogs, bunnies and even pigs have their own space with indoor and outdoor area. And the staff speak super good English and explain patiently what the adoption process is. Will for sure come back to check out the dogs :)
Response: Thank you so much and see you soon :-)

Lisa Tam: A really huge, unique animal shelter with cats, dogs, rabbits and exotic animals. The cat houses are like cosy little flats for those who live there. And it's not just a fascinating place to stroll for animal-lovers. The circular concrete architecture is simply amazing, featured in the movie Aeon Flux.

Amber Gaillard: The people looking after the dogs very clearly care about the animals and want them to find good homes. It's good to see.

Eric Stark: We went there to see about adopting a dog. We weren't allowed to see any. What a joke!

Jevgeni a.k.a. JeFF: A great place to spend some time with children even if you have no plans to adopt an animal. And please do support these amazing people working there and their animals in this shelter.

Kate Foran: Such lovely staff , very helpful and seem genuinely happy in their work. I adopted my first dog at this shelter and every staff member was very thorough , they really do their research in making sure dogs go to the right owner. I could not recommend it enough , a shelter run by real animal lovers.
Response: Wow, dear Kate, thank you so much for your great review. If any questions should come up, please don´t hesitate to contact us. Good luck for you and your dog!

jaghanivasan s: Went to take aerial picture of this place with my drone (very unique construction from above). The place is a animal protection center for cats, dogs and reptiles. One can go there to adopt the lovely animals. Tip: visit during summer to see the reptiles. No entrance fees.

Dino Agli: All the staff is very rude to say the least. They are also not helpful at all both in person and by emails. It seems like you bother them wanting to adopt an animal..: are they all forced to work there and have absolutely disinterested for animals and hate for humans??!
Response: Hi Dino, really sorry that you were not happy with our service. To clarify this and improve our service it would be very helpful to know when you spoke to whom by phone or mail. You can contact us directly via lobundtadel@tierschutz-berlin.de

Samtpfoten Neukölln e.V.: what do users think?

Pauline Delplanque: Shelter for cat where they are very well treat. The staff is very nice. To see the cats you need to call and take an appointment. And this is normal because they are there to be adopted, not as an attraction :)

Xander Nope: I'm glad there's a cat shelter here in Berlin, but do not let any other reviews fool you - you cannot just visit. They keep the door locked and it's by appointment only. And from what I gathered by the guy, if you're visiting they don't really care if you want to see the cats and will turn you away. So, good on them, sucks for anyone who just wants to play with and see the cats. Kind of upset that I went down there to get turned away. I stood outside of the place and had to knock on the window to finally get noticed and this was after calling on the phone while standing right there. I would've donated just to see the cats. Something the owner should think about if they are working under a donation platform.

Blumenladen Blütenreich: Thx for your great service!

Sol (Sol): Very nice people and super cute cats

Ema Raven: A very caring and responible non-profit cat shelter!

neil numb: Absolute legend's

Yiran Nara: We found our second cat here in the summer. Absolutely great how cats are treated here. The mediation also went very well. You had the opportunity to come here often and were well looked after even after the little tiger moved in.

DaLoRiot: I wanted to find a playmate for my cat. I spoke to the staff on site. They asked me to contact them by email and wanted to put my contact details on the pin board for "the agents". I wrote a nice, medium-length email. Nothing happened. After a week I called all 3 intermediary numbers from their flyers. Again nothing happened. I drove to the store again and spoke to the staff who "only feed the cats and can't say much else". At least I got an email asking me to describe my hangover. I did this and this is the state of affairs after more than three weeks. I can really only hope that the animals are treated better there than they are with people. An absolute no-go to treat a prospective customer like this. A bad experience for me, I can't recommend it at all.
Response: Hello DaLoRiot, it's a pity that it seemed to be going so unfavorably for you. Please keep in mind that Samtpfoten e.V. is not a "cat shop", but an association run by volunteers (i.e. we also have work and family in our daily routine), where the needs of the cats come first. In our e-mails and on the website we point out that a reply can often be delayed or not given at all. But we can assure you that the animals are treated in an exemplary manner here. Warm greetings, the velvet paw team

Nadine Ade: What a great organization. Very dear people are here for the cats. The cats are nurtured, cared for, fed, petted and entertained. Please don't forget that velvet paws depend on donations and support.

Honiig1: Thank you for entrusting me with my two soul cats <3 greetings from Bärbel & Shino

Animal Equality Germany: what do users think?

Klara Tieleman: Very important work and a such an ambitious and hard-working organization with great employees. I support them since years and I will still do in the future. Definitely can recommend animal equality🍀💖

Cy Borg: Animal Equality Germany is an international organisation working to put an end to cruelty towards farm animals - cattle, pigs, poultry, horses (yes, horses are being slaughtered, too) via undercover research, different campaigns, petitions. Please support their efforts if you can, any way you can.

marcus karten: The constant commitment of Animal Equality is a very important component in conveying to people the unspeakable suffering of factory farming. This requires continuous education, which the Animal Equality teams pursue with a lot of energy and passion. Thank you for your valuable work!
Response: Dear Marcus, Thank you for your great review. Our work is only possible because of people like you. Thank you for your support. Together for the animals!

Kira: Great association that is committed to animal welfare with a lot of courage and passion. Through Animal Equality, I've learned a lot about current issues in animal husbandry. Thank you for your strong, tireless work!
Response: Dear Kira, Thank you very much for your review and your support. Our work is only possible with the support of people like you. Together for the animals!

Luisa Schäfer: I'm so glad I got to know this organization. The people who work there make a great effort for the animals. I'm not the only one who sympathizes with the animals that are being tortured and exploited around the world. Here animals are loved and fought for them, as is my wish for all living beings: a life in peace, freedom and without pain! Thank you for your work ❤️ I really appreciate your emails. They are always written so compassionately and personally. We must keep fighting the atrocities and the powerful people behind them.

Aerofyx: I have full confidence that Animal Equality is doing and will do everything in its discretion to stop all animal exploitation. The detailed and regular reports bear witness to this. So much passion and so much courage. Just great, thanks for that! Lisa and Finley
Response: Hi Lisa and Finley, Thank you very much for your great rating and your support. Without great supporters like you, our work would not be possible. 🙌

S. W.: I watched the Dominion documentary a few years ago. I was horrified and stunned with horror. For decades I didn't suspect anything about it and that's why I'm so glad that you exist. There are people who give the animals a voice and tirelessly fight for the animals. If everyone regularly monthly only 1 euro, you can help.
Response: Thank you for your great rating and your support! Without great supporters like you, our work would not be possible. Warm greetings the Animal Equality Germany team

Ingrid Medwed: I am very grateful to Animal Equality for their tireless commitment to the animals, sometimes dangerous research, good and important public relations, high transparency and above all the effectiveness and the considerable successes. I am happy to contribute to this with regular donations.

Robert Karaca: My wife and I have been vegan for 25 years 🌱 We support (as far as we can) several animal welfare organizations. We have some "own" animals and a sponsorship. It's easy to do without animal corpses! Recently we also help Animal Equality (unfortunately far too little) The team does valuable work and uncovers the cruelty of the exploitation of all animals! Undaunted, honest and certainly often infinitely sad, you shake us humans up. Please give an amount, no matter how small - everything helps! So that the dream of a world without animal suffering becomes reality!
Response: Dear Robert, Thank you very much for your review and your support. We are pleased that you have been following a vegan lifestyle for so long and that you are actively supporting the animals. Without great supporters like you, our work would not be possible. Warm greetings the Animal Equality Germany team

Louisa Wittek: I've been a member of Animal Equality for about 2 years and I'm consistently happy with the work of the organization. The educational work and the fight for the animals come first and the campaigns make perfect sense. I have complete confidence in Animal Equality!
Response: dear Louisa, Thank you for the great rating and your support! Without great supporters like you, our work would not be possible. Warm greetings the Animal Equality Germany team

Gisela Feuerstein: Ordered a bottle light for friends as a reminder of their pet. Very nice contact with the seller. Cookie & Friends Berlin | Dog Walking & Dog Training: what do users think?

Lisa S: Loki's favourite days of the week is when Jan comes around taking him and the pack to Grunewald. Alex's team is doing a tremendous job with the dogs and I am really impressed how well they manage the walks and even care for each dog in the pack according to the needs and training level. Everybody in the team is reliable, trustworthy and highly professional. And even when I need ad hoc help, they make it work. Thank you!!!
Response: Many thanks for your review ! Im really happy that you are happy with us ! 🐕🐕🐕❤️

Anna-Margarita Papadakes: Alex and his team are one of the most professional friendly and experienced dog walkers that I have ever encountered. Watson loves being with the pack and even though he sometimes struggles on leash in the city he is calm happy and engaged with Alex and his walkers. They are super reliable, very trustworthy and great people as well. We are so glad we found them l, Watson goes 3 times a week and is happy, socialised and exercised. We love cookies !
Response: Many thanks for the kind words! 😍We are more then happy that we can help you with Watson and have you as our clients ! 🐕🐕🐕

Inma Ortiz Montiel: I met Alex through my previous boss. She totally recommended him. Now we have a puppy ourselves and Alex has been helping us with puppy training (in group) and some individual lessons. All super good 😍
Response: Many thanks for you review ! I’m really happy that you liked the training.👍🏼🐕

Victoria Schrank: I am super happy with Alex and his team. He does not only walk my dog, but also corrects his behavior during those walks. Socializing in a pack of other dogs has helped my dog to become more of a "good boy".
Response: Thank you very much 🐕😍

Sini Ryberg: I really want to thank Alex and share my warmest recommendation. I started dog training quite early after getting my puppy and it was the best decision. I checked out several options in Berlin and couldn’t have made a better choice than training with Alex. He is really friendly, always tailors the advice and focus to my needs, but also gives direction, is honest and direct with me and seriously a dog whisper. My puppy loves the training with him and he simply works magic. I learned so much already and look forward to every session with Alex as they are fun and truly helpful. Can’t wait for my puppy to be old enough to join him and the rest of the team in the forest soon and know she will have the best time in the best hands :-) thank you Alex! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Response: Many thanks for the kind words! Daisy is a really smart sweetheart :)

Carolina Ivarsson: We tried a few dog trainers but non were giving us as quick results through practical advice as training with Alex. You will learn the most important areas to train and get easy tools and tricks to teach or handle your dog, from a puppy age and up. We are super happy with our training and have many of the great qualities of our dog to thank due to what we learned here. It has also been good to have someone to contact whenever we had a concern or question, and Alex is always there to support and then we work on what we need for our dog in the sessions we have. We can only recommend!
Response: Hey Carolina , Many thanks for the review ! Happy that you’re happy :)

Baylee Mehr: We worked with Alex at Cookie and Friends Berlin and couldn't be happier! He helped us learn how to walk properly on the leash with our 2-year-old German/Shepherd mix named Theo and his methods worked quickly and effectively. Additionally, Alex took the time to get to know us as a family and has been a reliable resource for us even as our weekly training sessions have ended. We can strongly recommend Cookie and Friends :)
Response: Many thanks Baylee ! Theo was really a fast learner and you also did a great a great job ! Keep on doing the good job with Theo ! 🐕🙏🏻 Greets

Martina Lovrinov: I have no enough words to explain how happy we are with Alex as a dog trainer. We have been struggling with a leash walking and setting boundaries for our Jack Russel who consequently has problem with staying home alone. Already after one 4 lesson pack, changes are incredible! Alex gave us clear structure and plan which was impossible for me to find on internet or in books. He has many clients but if quick advise on Whatsapp needed, he is always there. We will continue to work with him until separation anxiety is fixed. Thanks Alex! I have no enough words to explain how happy we are with Alex as a dog trainer. Response: Hey Martina, Many thanks for the kind words ! You and Kobe are a great team and fast learner:) Im really happy That I could help!

Alex Savas: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, ResponsivenessFinding Alex was a huge blessing! Our training sessions really helped me understand how to communicate with my dog better, and the group walks in the forest are my dog's favorite days of the week. :) There are so many dog trainers and walkers in Berlin, but Alex is the first one I've really trusted. Highly recommend!
Response: Thank you very much for the trust given! And I’m really happy that I could help ! 🐕👍🏼

Brynhilda Nadine Arnold: Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, ValueThe dog training with Alex did miracles. Already after the 1st session with my Chihuahua Bine, we had amazing results. Barking stopped and she listens and walks so much better. On top Alex is a really nice person!

Tierpark Berlin: what do users think?

Wendy MacRonald: Do not miss this outstandingly wonderful experience! I cannot recommend the Tierpark highly enough. Lovely staff and amazing animals. Food outlets were great quality and the lady at the small souvenir kiosk was a delight to speak to - a beautifully warm and enthusiastic person. The front gate man with the long goatee was kind and helpful too. We went twice to this precious place during our one week holiday. That’s how great the Tierpark is!

Hassan Radi: The place offers some relaxed walking around nature with lots of animals to see. You can visit the rabbit's area and the petting zoo. Be careful as the animals at the petting zoo are a bit aggressive; especially the goats, and they might kick you, so be careful when you bring small kids.Visited on Public holiday Wait time 1 hr+ Reservation recommended No …More

Tejasvi N: I think it's one of the coolest animal park in Berlin. It's pretty big and you can spend good amount of time in walks or rest around. The number of animals are lesser than Berlin Zoo but here you have different areas which compensate for that. Himalayas was my favourite as you get to climb up and get some good walk up hill. Overall it's recommended !!

I.: Amazing!!! Everything looks clean, new and well taken care of! Restaurant Patagonia was great surprise. Also lots of places to buy ice cream throughout the park. It is possible to rent a little trolley for kids. There is an electric train that goes around the park every half an hour.

bryan teo: It's both a park and a zoo in one! Despite some people being anti-captivity, the animals here are clearly not mistreated or appear stressed at all. The zookeepers maintain the area very well and you can see that the animals are really chill about it. The zoo had also participated in several conservation activities that helped repopulate certain species that could be extinct. Definitely a nice place and good cause to support!

Olga Kovalyova: It's a great place for family and children especially. There are a lot of animals, tropical building with crocodiles, interesting information for children about products containing and how it evolved for environment. Playing garden, food court and large territory for walking . It was interesting fir visit and make your dreams come true if you dream to see penguins and giraffes 😉

Batoul Dhainy: Amazing!! Tickets for adults: 17€ and kids under 4 years for free. A-lot pf animals to see and the walk between the woods is really relaxing. Its really big park with many animals to see. Its somehow far from berlin center but its worth itVisited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More

Syed Hameed: Our kids enjoyed it. Natural environment, there is a kids play area, washrooms are available, staff is friendly, however there are less animals and it was difficult to spot a single animal in a big cage. But we managed to see most of them.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …More

Seireen93: Probably the most amazing animal park I have seen yet to date. It is the biggest in Europe and you will need a full day if not two to really venture into every corner and see every animal. The enclosures are huge compared to other zoos and the animals seem to be very relaxed and not pacing the fences. I visited during a hotter day (35C) and the Birdshow was cut short in favor of the animals which I admire greatly. If the birds do not want to come out they don't seem to be to forced either. Most placed (except the Himalaya zone due to very steep streets) are also very accessible and you are also allowed to bring your own pet dog. The food stands and restaurants are okay and not crazy expensive. I visited on a sunday and the amount of people is nicely spread out throughout the park. Kids playgrounds were the only thing very packed though. The elephant enclosure was being closed down and rebuild but thanks to the size of the park it did disappoint. All in all a more than pleasant experience and I will definitely visit again.

Divy Gupte: Great place to spend some time with family and friends. Kids would really like the place. It's better to visit nice sunny day. One can expect 3 to 3.5 hours of walking.

Aquarium Berlin: what do users think?

Helga Fritz: The part that we like the most is the petting space, yes! you can pet fish and somehow they like and and are very used to people touching them. The space inside the aquarium allows children to use a lot of energy running around and discovering insects and animals. Sometimes the aquarium smells a bit weird but maybe it’s part of the charm.

Sahar Kretschmer: That’s a nice aquarium but also simple one! Of course there were some giant fishes and different amphibians, insects, snakes 🐍, but it can have more different kinds of fishes, the environment is nice and also there is tropical part, I will post some of its photos here! All and all as a scientist both my husband and I enjoyed spending time there!

Saji: A great collection of fishes, marine animals and reptiles. This place is located within the Berlin Zoo. The setting of the individual displays is very creative and brings to life the ecosystems that the fishes originally came from. Enjoyable for the kids (absolutely) and also for all

Issam Ahmad: Really amazing and diverse marine, reptile and insects collections. It’s an absolute recommendation for both kids and adults. I had a different imagination on how it would look like (I thought it will be much bigger with all glass but nah it’s nothing like that)

Ni Hao: the aquarium is soo cool, it has two floors and it’s not that big, but I still enjoyed it. I really liked seeing the chameleon and they have so many beautiful jelly fishes and even sharks 😱 so with the visit.

Minerve: This is a beautiful place and can be booked together with the zoo. It has beautiful fishes, reptiles, amphibians and insects. There is also a place to get drinks and snacks

Ilija German Ilić: A great place to visit, especially with children. They have a very nice selection of aquarium fish, from small and very colorful tropical reef fish to the big ones such as sharks, stingrays, etc. In upper floors lots of reptiles, crocodiles, spiders, toads and insects. Impressive!

Neil Darler: Right next to the zoo is the aquarium. It’s a building on 3 floors. The ground floor is where you see all the fish, sharks, coral and jellyfish. In one corner is an area very dark for the light sensitive fish, The next floor is where you get the amphibians and reptiles. There is a room where there are 3 crocodiles and a few turtles that you can look down on. The top floor is where the insects were. This is the Smallest floor and doesn’t take long to walk around. They have a lift to help people with pushchairs however when I was there it was busy and people were carrying them up the stairs. It’s a good place to visit and i think 90 minutes is probably the most time needed to see everything.

Panda Man: Overall worth the price of admission. Good variety of animals with good living conditions. Just make sure you come to an off day as its quite busy.

adelina panosso: Located next to the zoo. You can get a combo ticket to visit both places. The Aquarium it self is a building of 3 stories, on the first floor you will find a good display of marine life, very beautiful. On the second floor you will find reptiles and on the third some frogs and insects. We spend a little less than 2 hours there, even so it was a timed entry, the place was extremely packed. The place has a very poor ventilation and no air conditioning. It was so hot and humid inside that we couldn’t take it anymore and left.

Berlin Zoological Garden: what do users think?

Markus Bahr: We first started with the elephants from the zoo. There are toilets at certain intervals, which I think is a super thing. Toilets are clean, not crowded and there are baby changing areas. Again, there were places where we could buy coffee etc. at certain points. It was very crowded, but people were distant from each other. We wore masks in closed areas. If you pay attention to the hours, you have the opportunity to watch the feeding hours. We watched the little monkeys feed, it was so much fun. There is also a very large and extensive playground for children. It is suitable for all ages, including babies.

Natalia Cano: There are plenty of places to eat inside. It is very organize and friendly for the kids. There is an amazing playground inside. It is pretty easy to walk with the stroller. I will recommend to check the website to see the eating times of the animals and I will highly recommend to buy the tickets online to enter as soon as you arrive. During the weekends is always full but at the weekdays is always nice to go to the playground or walk around. There is also a nice Store at the exit to get some nice souvenirs

Sahar Kretschmer: That was really nice to spend time there, my husband and I enjoyed a lot! We visited different animals! And in a very interesting atmosphere! That’s very nice!👍 It’s big enough and many different places for different species, even nocturnal animals! So just enjoy!

Michelle Kjersgaard: A very nice an clean zoo! We visited the zoo on a week day late in August, and safe to say that it was too hot to visit a zoo. The animals didn't do much. But the experience were still great! Beautiful animals and very easy to come close enough to take pictures without having to battle other guests for the space.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …More

Aakash: Beautiful zoo animals. Friendly employees, beautiful paths the new predator house is very nice, penguins, giraffes,... Very nice facilities. Several gastronomic facilities invite you to take a break. Feeding times of the animals are on the map and can be found on the net. Also if you want to visit the aquarium make sure to get a combined ticket. But it was a time well spend also the ticket prices were good enough! Buying online is good option rather to wait in queue.

Matthew Rasch: Enjoyed about 2 hours of walking around this zoo in early March 2022. On one hand it was nice, on the other hand it was challenging seeing these wild animals stuck for our viewing pleasure. Anyways, it was a beautiful layout, easy to see everything in a couple hours, and a great break in the afternoon from several days of meetings.I can imagine once Spring sets in how beautiful it will be. Really enjoyed the seals!

Amar J: The 3 stars because the visit was in winter. Else could had been easily 4 stars. Located in heart of Berlin. Yet so close to nature. Avery convenient to reach with public transportation. A perfect getaway for family and especially kids. You get glimpse of wild animals. During sunny summer days visit there would be a treat. However, during winters it was just not that great. It was chilly windy day. Mostly the animals were in their shelters and we hardly sighted anything there. The full entry tickets were just not justified in my opinion, should be reduced for such seasons. Only for that reason would say, 3 stars. Hope we visit back in Summer and possibly few more stars, if we get better glimpses.

Martins: We had an amazing and relaxing day here. To start with, they have ticket machines outside and this was the quickest I’ve ever gotten a zoo ticket, hence we were in the zoo within like a minute or 2. 2 tickets set us back €35. The zoo is pretty big so allow a few hours to see all the animals in a relaxing way by also taking a few breaks at the cafes. They have a wide variety of animals there and taking a seat and watching seals do their thing was amazing. We managed to see all the animals apart from wolfs and bears, maybe they were sleeping :) It’s definitely worth a visit overall, it makes it a brilliant day out.

daniel wystawnoha: Great zoo in the middle of Berlin. Good connection with buses and trams, with the station next to the zoo. The zoo was nice to spend 4 hours exploring with the kids. Very good facilities, nice restaurant to take a break in. The staff are friendly. Feeding times are advertised. We managed to see the sea lion's being trained and the panda's feeding.

Algimantė: Very nice, clean, taken care of Zoo. Animals are taken care of, they don't look too stressed. I wanted to see panda feeding, but it was very hard because of all the ignorant people who had to block all the view with their phones. I get it, you want to take a photo, its fine, but let other people, who just want to look and not film everything, to see it too. Gift shop is adorable too.

Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research: what do users think?

ChHn: It was nice working together

Ja Ju: I had a CT scan with my dwarf ram today. wow ! Rarely have you experienced such incredibly friendly people who are actually strangers to you. From the e-mail contact, the lady on the phone for an appointment and also today personally ... really everyone was so so so warm and nice. Everything went smoothly and without long waiting times. Especially now in Corona times you rarely meet people who take time for you and listen to you... not just "work you off". I was very agitated but was accompanied really well and everything was explained to me. Got a CD with the pictures straight away. Apart from the very sobering result of the CT - a thousand thanks! People really work here with body and soul in their profession 🤗

Bianca Kühn: I had brought my miniature ram here for a CT scan. They are friendly and likeable people, but you have to wait several months for pictures. In addition, they are very difficult to reach. You can't always answer the phone, that's clear, but emails are simply ignored or even deleted.

Dirk Pritsch: Exciting and important research in times of increasing numbers of endangered animal species.

Nadine Urban: We were there with our puppies and can only recommend it, the staff and the treating doctor are very friendly and understanding and you can tell immediately that the well-being of the animals is important to you.

hts post: Very old

Dirk-Werner Benicke: Rewarding visit to the museum and a good view of the city of Bad Wildungen

Andreas Lauter: Great guide, very interesting and important research

Uwe S.: Thanks for the help CT.
