Natalia Kempin: First of all their website says: "English patients are welcome" and "Kurze Wartezeit, umfassende Beratung, Diagnostik und Behandlung!" I wrote my request on 15th of June in English and got a reply from the professor's secretary Helena. In German. I literally asked for an appointment underlining that I can come any day except of the 18th of June. A reply was: "Professor Derwahl ist ab dem 29.06. für 6 Wochen im Urlaub." (Professor is in 6-weeks vacations starting June the 29th) "And what?" thought I. There are still 2 weeks till then (and on the web they offer short waiting times). So, I wrote my "And what, there are still 2 weeks till then" as an answer to Helena's email. Helena answered: "ja das ist korrekt. Der Professor ist aber nur an 2. Tagen die Woche in der Praxis und diese sind bis zu seinem Urlaub ausgebucht." So, as a result professor is not there each day, and the remaining options for an appointment (till his holidays) are all booked. Thoughts: text on the website needs an update as much as it's design. One can not suggest service in English and have a secretary who (perhaps intentionally) answers English letters in German. Not sure how polite it is, but even the fact that the detailed explanation was not provided already in the first message, it's ... impolite. To say the least.

Ute F.: I can't say anything about the doctor and the treatment, but the practice management is really bad. I canceled my first appointment after an hour. Why? Because two gentlemen who came after me came before me. M Kra: Somewhat mixed experience. As a private patient, I was always able to get an appointment quickly. My Hashimoto was diagnosed and I was well taken care of when I was originally discontinued the L-thyroxine. Everyone at the practice is very friendly. However, during follow-up discussions I often had the feeling that Prof. Derwahl had not even looked at my file 2 minutes before. Questions were repeated, advice too. All in all, Prof. Derwahl no longer seems very professional, despite his outspoken friendliness. Maybe because retirement is coming, it will be well deserved. I am now looking for a new practice.
Response: Dear Patient, obviously there is a misunderstanding: Thybon can be taken in combination with L-thyroxine if you want to have children and also during pregnancy. However, I prefer the sole administration of L-thyroxine because of the simpler dosage during pregnancy. Since I treat a large number of young women with HT and the desire to have children or pregnancy, it can sometimes happen that not every woman wishes to have children (even if she has previously viewed the file!)! Anna Charlotte Engelbert: When I arrived at the practice at 8am, I was stared at in horror and told to leave immediately as my appointment has to be at 8:30am. After I asked to look up my name in the system, since I am 100% sure that this appointment was given to me by telephone, it turned out that no appointment was made for me at all and I had been on the " Appointment” waited. That can happen and I understand that. But what must NOT happen is the extreme unfriendliness of the lady at the registration. Actually, she would have sent me out again as soon as I entered. I've asked twice to look up my name in the system, which seems like a heavy burden. In the end, they looked reluctantly for an alternative date, but then it was enough for me and I said that I would get an appointment somewhere else. "It's better that way," was the answer, including a derogatory undertone. I shouldn't have to argue and feel uncomfortable, I should be given an apology. It wasn't pleasant for an hour in the morning to drive to the doctor, despite university and work, apparently not having an appointment there and being treated as a burden and extremely unfriendly. I don't enjoy being dependent on an endocrinologist and waiting forever for an appointment despite private insurance, but I still manage to treat people with respect. Marina Vlašić: I would give no star at all, total disappointment. Mrs. Blaske (counselor for diabetes) or something like that promised my man to order the glucose meter and to prepare the table in molimeters, when he was released from Charité we went to the diabetologist ambulance to pick up the glucose meter because on the ward where he was, they Doctor said that you really have to ask everything at the diabetes outpatient clinic. Sara Schumann: TRIGGER WARNING FOR NON GERMAN SPEAKING BERLINERS!! I have never been treated so poorly or felt so discriminated against for not speaking fluent German. I've been a patient here for more then 7 years but none of this was considered. The receptionist was beyond rude when trying to make an appointment and on my FINAL appointment I was asked by Dr. Köster "Why after so many years here do you not yet speak German?" (I should mention the Dr. speaks perfect English) I wasn't sure if I was in an immigration office or a Doctor's office?! As far as I'm concerned a Doctor should be kind and helpful regardless of what language you speak but instead I was judged and treated without any compassion or respect. My advice, find somewhere else if you are not fluent in German.

Sarikurt 30.10: The practice is said to be closed from April 19th to April 24th. However, today is April 26th and no one answers.

Caroline Fenske: Our experience was very pleasant, we had no problems at all, the doctors were all very nice. You have to bring your own waiting time, but that's quite reasonable. I can recommend the clinic to everyone. And it worked for us the first time.

cordula eggebrecht: I usually only review when there is something positive to say, but I have to make an exception here to warn other patients about this practice. After weeks of waiting for an appointment and a very long journey, I was out of the treatment room in just under 5 minutes. A very demotivated Sheila Müller made no secret of the fact that she had neither the motivation nor the necessary competence to treat me adequately. I was deeply frustrated by their unfriendliness and blatant disinterest. Rarely have I been so humiliated in a doctor's office.
Jan Abb: Lived racism ?! It is not the first time that I had to wait well beyond an appointment, all patients with German names got their turn in advance. But today this was clearly confirmed: I come to the practice an hour earlier than my appointment and declare that this is necessary because I have further professional obligations. No problem, they said. A quarter of an hour later, another patient comes an hour earlier for the same doctor because she still wanted to shop, mind you, her actual appointment was after mine. 4453 eagle: Again a practice that pays attention to quantity and neglects quality. The excuses here to justify the bad behavior and miserable performance of the doctors with a tense corona situation is pulled by the hair. Rude at the reception and on the phone and doctors who are as quick with the prescription pad as they send the patient out the door again. In all honesty, my secretary writes on the computer more slowly. Which wouldn't be the worst if it weren't for the great ignorance. Frau Doktor ... has prescribed me a medication that has the problems that I was in the practice for as side effects. Really big cinema because you have trust in doctors again. In all honesty, such a poor performance in no way justifies the arrogant appearance. Neither the employee nor the doctor. Practice is again one of the best examples of mass processing including poor performance in our city.

Melanie Tramm: I was now the 2nd time there. I didn't really have to wait for an appointment. Everything was super organized and the doctor I saw took me and my complaints seriously, which is not the case everywhere. Accordingly, I feel in good hands. I came across Medicover through a recommendation and am very satisfied. Of course you don't get an appointment overnight, where else is that possible? But at my first appointment there were less than 2 weeks between the call and the appointment, that's almost the speed of sound with a specialist.
David Hermann: Super practice, very nice and tidy inside and out. With an appointment there is almost never a wait. Both in practice and in the laboratory (one floor higher) everyone is very friendly. Above all, Ms. Fahimi and Mr. Häder are super nice and competent. We recommend!
Simmi L.: My review also does not relate to the doctor mentioned, as I was treated by someone else. First the positives - quick appointments, modern rooms, competent doctor. Negative: Existing findings should be brought along, they were taken from me at registration and with the comment "we'll keep it here, you'll get it back after the doctor has spoken to you..." So far everything is fine and clear. A few days later, I realized that I had not received the original report back. Can happen. So I called to ask kindly how to get my original? Collection or by post. The answer came: "....originals go into the data garbage with us...we scan the originals and don't need them anymore..." Huh? Do you destroy the originals of the patients even though you were told that you would get them back after the appointment? When I asked astonished, "too much to do...and we couldn't think of everything...I could have done it as a patient...." The conversation broke off after the stuttering connection. Again a long queue on the phone, again waiting several minutes. Then someone picked up the phone and scolded me after I could explain that I had spoken to her colleague and she KINDLY sent me a copy. But she would NOT have done this herself, because I was so impertinent. I brazenly rejected the accusation that I could have taken care of the return... SHE hissed at me arrogantly on the phone with "if you don't like it...you have a free choice of doctor" OUTRAGEOUS!! This already mature lady (according to the voice) should definitely be retrained and maybe be a little more humble. I wasn't dissatisfied with the doctor but with the performance of the registration!! A practice (no matter how modern it may be) stands and falls with the staff. Treating patients like this is unprofessional and presumptuous!
Agnieszka Gawronska: I do not recommend. Of course, I'm not referring to the doctor mentioned above, who is probably good, but to my colleagues. The place is a custom order. You're just another number on the list. There are enough people with health problems. The ladies at reception are friendly despite the stressful work. There is plenty of space in the waiting room and the public transport connection is good. The first consultation (!) with the doctor lasted 3, maximum 5 minutes. Conversations can be quite fast, but it wasn't. I didn't pick up any laboratory values, but went to an endocrinologist for the first time. The lady clearly didn't have time. I could hardly think because everything had to happen so quickly. It just can't be.
Sascha Tim Fischer: The reception is rather little turned. The medical professionals in the laboratory (taking blood) seem very stressed for a while. Doctors take the time to give medical advice. I lack the competence to judge professional expertise. However, in practice I miss the human connection overall. I suspect a mixture of perceived or actual underfunding of the healthcare system. Although I certainly know practices that do it much better overall. This includes, for example, my family doctor and her team. And GP practices are not exactly those that are known for being overfunded. But in Berlin you often take where you can get a specialist appointment. Overall, this specialist practice is quite acceptable compared to others.

Babak Patrick Mahdawi-Nader: After about 15 minutes in the telephone queue, a bored doctor's assistant picks up the receiver and when I ask whether the telephone waiting time for a normal appointment request is always so long, she actually says impudently "You don't have to wait and you can hang up NOW". The practice already fails at the very first contact and "the appointment". You don't have to put up with something like that!!! A real disgrace!!!

I. Kyrsanidou: Unacceptable behavior. I made an appointment two months ago for January, I explained to them that it is something important for me, they told me we can only do it in January 2023, I said ok I will wait. A few days ago they sent me a simple message that they are canceling my appointment, and they don't even tell me the reason. They should, since they canceled my appointment for no reason, make me another appointment somewhere nearby, I contacted them and they tell me in April 2023 we can make an appointment for you again. ( 8 months after my first communication ) They don't deserve even one star with the system they have.
Z Juno: 3rd Floor Reception and the doctors are very friendly. I have been there for many years and feeling always nice. But they can't speak very good English. I would suggest to take a translator or friend there together. I one day needed to some test on the 2nd floor and the doctor and receptionist were not friendly and wouldn't let me to go to toilet before the test. Until i insist or i ll pee on the floor... It was horrible experience and do not feel like human.
Yagmur Yildiz: I had a good experience with Dr. Christine Rühl, she listened to my symptoms and gave me good advices. I got my detailed test results within two weeks. She also spoke English with me without judgement. Other things such as waiting times and rude reception/staff are the same everywhere in Berlin…
Katarzyna Głuszek: I had to wait for my urgent appointment quite long but that's normal with certain doctors. My doctor spoke English and really took care of me. Informed me about risks and gave me an information about what needs to be checked. My blood was drawn immediately, with little waiting. Unfortunately that's it from good things. I was supposed to get a call with results and after 3 weeks no sign. I was supposed to have my important prescription sent via post and it never came. The receptionist seemed irritated with me even though I spoke German with her, she immediately switched to English and was impolite. I'm not sure I'll be coming back.
Kornelia J: Everything went super smooth, the waiting time was maybe 10 minutes, my doctor was nice and professional, got my blood test results via email very quickly.
Bosaina El Haggar: My doctor is great, but the people you have to go through before reaching the doctor, like the receptionists and the people who reply to the emails, are beyond unhelpful! I am surprised every time at how much they DON’T help above the bare minimum. I got a few misleading information unfortunately.
Zuzana S.: I've been there a few times and always had a good experience. Receptionists and nurses were always polite and I never had to wait too long. Dr Valentine is awesome, explains everything clearly and is also very kind.
Tanya Lee: Incredibly rude receptionists (yelled at me on the phone and then hung up) and doctors who are not able to speak even a little bit of English to explain results. Would not recommend this Praxis for anyone who wants to be treated as a human.
Jaqueline Beiram: They made me go back to repeat a blood sample because they made a mistake processing it. And on the day that the doctor was supposed to call with the results, they never called. I asked them about it, they said the doctor got sick. They never apologized for either of these things. They only send one-sentence emails. So far they didn't even tell me when the doctor will call with the results.
Babak: Very bad experience. Dr. Ilka Weiskirchner did not care about my symptoms at all. Although the lab results confirmed that I am on the boundary for a condition, she decided that I need no treatment. Very disappointed with the team. All the medical guidelines point out that the lab results with the symptoms must be taken into account together. It is so disappointing to wait for a long time, take blood test and in the end see that the doctor won't help you. You set your hopes high, to go there and get help, but no help comes... I do not recommend at all.

Lora: They are never reachable in any possible way! As if they have completely closed down??? The only thing that still seems to work is an automatic email saying that it takes longer to get a reply. When my doctor (not anymore) prescribed me medicine, she just left the paper at the reception and gave me a call whenever she wants. When I missed that bc of work, I could never hear from them again. I am happy to accept the longer journey, because my impression is that Dr. Franz has a real interest in his patients. The examinations are thorough and correspond to the clinical picture, and I always receive the written results very quickly. I experience dr. Franz as competent and also very friendly. Niko Nakhshunov: Can't understand the bad reviews. I was able to get an appointment relatively quickly without a referral. The sisters were very friendly. I had the appointment with Dr. Clemens Franz. He is a very nice and empathetic doctor who really takes his time, which is unfortunately a rarity these days. He also communicates at eye level and explains everything calmly and in such a way that a layman can understand it. I would come back to this practice and especially Dr. Franz and can only recommend the practice based on my positive experience.
Carla Feld: The two doctors I see there are very competent. However, the accessibility by telephone is under all guns, and it seems a bit antiquated in today's times that it is not possible to book appointments online. The ladies at the front desk are unfortunately very ignorant and unfriendly. Hence only 3 stars overall.
Hanna Neubauer: The team at the practice is professional and yet cordial, the people there are committed, the atmosphere is inviting despite the size and number of patients. The rooms are modern and bright, openly furnished and very clear. I am on the recommendation of Dr. Franz in treatment and I am more than satisfied. dr Franz brings the relevant medicine across in an understandable way, without making me feel like I'm not being heard. My questions and concerns are answered constructively. The treatment process is uncomplicated and well thought out (e.g. taking blood, consultations or sending the results).
