Tilsiter Lichtspiele: what do users think?

Peter Manolakev: The quintessential typical Berlin bar/cinema. A charming small place in of Berlin's trendy neighbourhoods. Drinks at reasonable prices. Cinema is also resonably priced, but is no cineplex experince. Staff is friendly, however card payment is not possible. Overall, would recommend and re-visit.

Marla Rós Zola: Lovely small independent cinema with good selection of films. Cheap prices and great if you’re not expecting a super fancy but authentic cinema. The bar is nice to have a drink before or after the movie.

Declan Ward: Wow, what a great cinema! I was visiting Berlin with my partner and we stumbled across this absolute gem. Its such a cosy spot to go for a coffee, beer or to watch a film with a really “gemootlich” atmosphere. There’s a really great selection of drinks and films, everything you’d want from a cinema/cafe! The staff were excellent too. Really friendly, welcoming and professional - especially the two twins! Thank you to them for going the extra mile to accommodate for us. I will be recommending Tilsiter Lichtspiele to all my friends and family when they’re in Berlin. 5 stars from me!

Miranda Müller: Wonderful place! Some of my best evenings in Berlin are spent here. The waitress Jo makes great drinks and is very charming.

Bartosz Gluba: Really cosy and good place for drink. As for the cinama - not very comfy seats and no ventilation.

Chris Jarv: We have gone to the Tilsiter for many years. It is one of the oldest cinemas in Berlin and has a wonderful bar at the front. They produce their own bier. My husband loves the dunkel bier. It is a charming location with a relaxed vibe. Service is always pretty good. Winter can be difficult with the smoking inside, but in summer they open the windows, and there is seating outside. We love the Tilsiter, so we choose to brave the smokey winter atmosphere.

Shady Darling: Charming and very small. Great if you expect art instead of blockbusters.

Flor Bari: Great place to hang out with friends but also for seeing movies

Reuben Courtenay: Quaint Kino, very rustic. Cool environment and screen.

Burak Dogan: Top spot. Great staff, lovely homemade beer and cozy environment.

Tiestes Cobblestone: Nice theater, but for the price you can go to a much nicer one 🤷🏻‍♂️ You're seated very close to the people in the next row, and the screen is not very big. The seats have no headrest. It's perfectly fine for a small cinema! but again, there's better ones for the same price so 🤷🏻‍♂️ I will stay away from the popcorn if I return in the future, too. It has a weird caramel flavor that I wasn't personally fond of, and full of unpopped cornseeds 😅

Michele Randleston: I enjoyed seeing films here . They have a cute little cafe to sit and have drinks.

Jochen981: Watched Red Rocket here in the smallest screen they’ve got. The experience was alright but I have to say there are far better cinemas in the city. The seats have no headrest which is really a no go in my opinion. This was amplified by the screen size which was too large for the small distance so that you’re forced to look up at the projection in most rows. Also the projection was too large for the 2k image, could sometimes make out the pixels, not great. It’s not terrible by any means but I probably won’t come back.

Rebecca Laulan: Very good movies, you can also just sit there.

Lenu: Nice atmosphere in the small cinema, delicious popcorn, though expensive. The tickets were cheap because we were a group so the popcorn evens out. One of the few cinemas with Spanish movies.

DAR F: We had such a great time I love how everything is so ancient but still clean and comfortable The only downside.. Is that if a person seats in front of you... His head will be the main character

David ABCD: The place was clean, nice selection of beverages, sweets and popcorn. The staff spoke English (that's appreciate it as we are tourists) and were friendly. Thank you.

Camille Liret: I felt in love with this place!!! A really artistic cocoon with delicious popcorn smell, plenty of movie posters in black wall which make you feel inside an other universe ❤🎬 9€ an adult ticket, which is great! Comfy seats & tiny room and I felt like looking at a big screen at home! Good movie selection as well! I LOVE IT

Q. Lei: One of the best local independent theaters in Berlin. They allowed us to do a test screening for our not-yet-released feature film. Very nice people! I hope they are able to withstand the Covid hit.

M Vitti S: Lovely small film theater, with friendly staff, smell of popcorn everywhere, a nice selection of diverse movies to choose from, and a cozy atmosphere overall. As stated in other reviews, however, rooms are not inclined (so getting a good view of the screen can be an issue) and don’t have air conditioning, so it can get pretty warm by the end of the movie. Still, it’s pretty affordable, and a local business you should definitely support!

Conrad Noack: One of if not the best art house cinemas in Berlin. The program usually has a political edge

Xun: Nice programs, comfortable seat, no popcorn.

Joanna Ji: Great little alt. cinema with good selection of films. Would def. be back given the chance!

Izabela Rosiak: Very cozy little cinema with alternative, interesting movies.

Oliver Kniep: great tiny cinema shows original versions with subtitles, ambitious program

Parisot Sophie: Nice cinema. Space to seat and nice cashier

Domi nika: Cool cinama, with the fountain in the screening room (I mean, seriously?!) 😂

Mathias Fuchs: Just saw a supergood movie "Shoplifters"

Inge van Vuuren: Great atmosphere, very kind people

Necrostate: Great alternative cinema

Babylon Kreuzberg: what do users think?

Jung Woo Yae: Local’s choice for the arty films. You do not need to go there 20 mins before the screening time as they start to let you in about 10-15 mins before the time written on your ticket. Oh there are about 20-minute long adverts going on, if you mind them.

Irena Zabojnikova: The movie was supposed to start at 5:30 PM, but with watching boring ads and apparently waiting for more guests to come, it only started at 6 PM. That ruins the mood since the beginning. Otherwise the rest was fine, small cinema with a small bar at the beginning with food and drinks. It was a bit overcrowded and felt unorganized.

Dale Hawkins: nice old theater. they have popcorn and the like and comfortable seats. tiny bathrooms though, which seems to be a pretty common thing in Germany in general.

Levin Song: This cinema is small but cozy. The screen quality is nice. Super friendly staff as well ;)

Louis C: Kino lovers will absolutely love the Babylon Kreuzberg cinema. There is something retro and authentic in the air. Grab some pop corn and enjoy the movie!

George S.: The sound for Batman was too low.. the side speakers were not connected or some issues... The place looks nice.

Gabriel Francisco Lemos: Great cinema showing movies in their original versions.

megan: beautiful vintage feeling interior, friendly service and good prices (they do a student discount!)

Moritz Erdt: Nice little cinema.

Jack Elgar: Classic movie theatre, Great style. Popcorns delicious and always plays new movie’s what more could you want!

Bruno Peres: Excellent option to watch movies in their original language. Got impressed by the quality of sound and image. Seats were comfy. Peculiar decoration, different from fancy and branded cinemas we see in big cities, political manifestation and point of view expressed in lots of stickers and posters. They don't have popcorn but you can bring your own snacks or buy some in the bar (they also serve good beer and coffee). Great experience, welcoming and cozy place. Definetely will visit again.

Niccolò Brumat: Awful experience! The cinema itself is quite cozy and nice, but 1 they have no popcorn, 2 the staff is quite unfriendly, 3 the chairs are extremely uncomfortable to sit on for a long time, 4 it was quite cold inside, and lastly and most importantly the video quality of the screening is extremely bad and dark. I went to see Bones and all, but I’ll have to go watch it again somewhere since this experience was extremely bad.

Cami Boreal: I love this place. Good bar, great cinema experience, amazing set of good old machines...loooooads of movies to rent too!

Suhas Thakral: A great and cozy experience! There is a sofa in the front of the seat and I loved this idea! I was giving it 4 stars as they do not have popcorn!!!!! But they did make up for it with an amazing selection of whiskey

Yannik Panic: Great spot in a nice neighbourbood! It felt very cosy, friendly and welcoming. It's too bad they don't have popcorn, but that would be the only negative I could think of. We watched night of the living dead there.

Damijan Cavar: Cosy small cinema where you feel like you are at home. Unfortunately the movie experience is not the best as dark scenes are too dark and sound is not even close to what you get in a big cinema. That said it is cheaper than big chains, prices of drinks and beverages are affordable, it is mostly free and you can have an intimate movie experience.

Nils Ruggiero: Just a fantastic place! Their "Videotheke" is something I would never expect to see in Naples from where I'm from. I swear I saw tears of joy and commotion when my friend saw it. The viewing screen was not as big as those gigantic kino-centre you can visit, but still quite large and more than enjoyable. The audio was also very good while the seats were comfortable enough. But those who come late can enjoy the sofas right under the screen. Overall the atmosphere is very nice and what they did with the place is amazing. You feel the spirit of the enthusiastic cinephile but it is not clingy or overwhelming. But what really matters is the screenings they give. Today they started at 11 with "La Dolce Vita" by Fellini and they end at 22:40 with a total of 23 movies in just one day! Really amazing place 😍

Killian Meehan: Cosy kino (there are couches!) with a cool vibe and some great whisk(e)ys. Massive DVD selection for anyone interested. They're clearly passionate about all things cinema. I always have a good time here.

John-John McCann: Great indiekino, lots of charm and a great movie selection all throughout the day. Lots of movies in English too or with English subtitles. You can get a drinks & snacks too, rent movies on dvd, join the Kino Klub, book online (advised to avoid disappointment). Nice place to hang out too!

Romain Torres: Small screening rooms and the sound isn't high enough in my opinion. Seats are kinda comfy but you probably won't see the bottom of the screen if someone is right in front of you. Ambiance is great, cool seats in the hall and they show movies in original version, which is great.

Melina: I was in Berlin for the first time and found out about this super cute and retro movie theater. Wasn’t able to watch a movie but had an amazing conversation with Zach. What amazing human being! I’ll always remember you :)

Carlos O. Heras-Bautista: There was a lot of place. The seats were comfortable. Went on winter and the temperature was on the spot. Nice sound too :D I would gladly go again

dog: Love the retro interior of this Kino, they have good selection of movies, also in English. Movie cost 9€ (pretty reasonable) Small popcorn it comes mixed sweet abs salty cost €3.8 and it’s really tiny 😅 they screen commercials and trials for 30 mins before the movie, just so you know that you don’t need to rush

Sophie The Wanderer: Brilliant little cinema with lovely decor, fair prices and friendly, helpful staff. Had a lovely time there and will go back 💙 They open the doors 15 minutes before the first screening.

Average Berson: Beautiful retro layout + Fresh MIXED popcorn 🤤 Recommend choosing you seats from row 10 up (seats 7-11) for beat view 👀

Ally Lin: Amazing cinema, comfy chair and good selection of Asian movies

Jada e: The seats are not built for modern tall people anymore. There’s just not enough space, if the cinema is full it’s not comfortable.

Marta Bartoshevska: small and cozy cinema with one screen i guess. great pick for a date. buffet is overpriced

stephanie: probably the prettiest cinema i’ve been in

Adonis Kypraios: Retro feeling and Dekor! But the "show" is being stolen from the kindness of the personnel! Amazing, will visit again for sure!

Sophie Pownall: Cute small cinema with unique showings and intimate experience.

RD VV: Beautiful little arthouse cinema, great staff and a lovely tiny screening room where the classic 'Casablanca' (1942) just started right away without any advertising. Definitely would like to return one day.

rainypraha: Tiny place with huge satisfaction. A hidden gem!

Gloria Ciceri: This is one of the most beautiful kino i've ever seen in my whole life. Small, intimate, clean.

Robert Stephan: Excellent little cinema programming art house movies as well as classics and rare documentaries. Good to know for tourists: most films are original versions with German subtitle, so no dubbing. The place has an underground feel to it, and this is fuelled by the leftwing flyers and banners. You can even order 'anarchist' beer! Note for tall people: the seats are a bit cramped.

Moritz Kröger: Super nice, alternative cinema with interesting movie selection. It's one small room with a few seats, sells some beer/whine/cola, and the staff is very friendly as well. If you fancy I unique and different cinema experience, this is the place to go.

John-John McCann: Your familiar tiny kino in Berlin of whi h there are many. This is a charming little cinema, good place for a drink too.

emilia pethers: it was November and freezing cold in there. heater was not working so we had to leave before the movie ended but we didn't get a refund :(

David Healion: Lovely little cinema! Very friendly staff and an overall great experience!

Benedek: Great little movie theatre. They also sell beer, and you can drink it while watching a movie.

Gökhan Kutluer: Not only a cinema but also such a lovely and cozy place to chill.
Response: Thank you, Gökhan, we see you came during our cinema poster sales! :)

R K: Usually these small cinemas have old and/or uncomfortable seats. Luckily the seats at IL Kino are very comfortable and modern. The blonde girl behind the bar seemed to be in a bad mood though
Response: Thank you , R.K., we take pride in making it comfortable space. As for the rest, we can all have a bad day, but I'm be pretty sure you'd be met with a smile next time :)

Ana Carolina Boldrini: I loved this place. Friendly staff, good teas and coffes and also nice movies. The movie room is cozy and warm. I fully recommend the visit!

steve taylor: My favourite small independent cinema. Not just a great choice of films, often original language with German or English subtitles, but a really friendly atmosphere. Nice little bar, stylish little auditorium, cheerful staff. One lovely touch, due to the pandemic, the windows were open to allow airflow, and during the cold evenings staff gave out blankets so customers kept warm! It worked perfectly alongside the glass of Glühwein!
Response: Thank you, Steve, it warms our heart like a big cup of Glühwein to hear!

Jung Woo Yae: Small, but very cosy cinema of locals’ love.

vera krautwurst: just lovely. bring a date or good friend. this cosy small independent cinema in a great neighborhood will take good care of you: the additional bar serves everything in style... wine, beer, drinks, tapas, small cooked dishes, cake... the best: you will be able to take it into the movie. always good to come with some extra time.

Alison Tran: Lovely vibe and nice ambient music. Lasagna was super nice but was a bit disappointed by the service. I was told it would take 20 minutes for the lasagna to be prepared and I waited 40 minutes and wasn't served my orange juice for the entire time waiting as well. The place wasn't very busy either. Would've been great otherwise but I left with something to be desired.

Guillermo Castro: I was looking forward to go since some time ago. The visit matched completely the expectations. It's very warm place, with a comfortable nice cinema room, big screen and good sound system. Also, I liked the decoration. Really enjoyed it!

Claudio: Cozy small independent cinema that shows films with original audio. There is around 30 to 40 comfy seats (first come-first serve). Before and after the film you can order drinks and snacks at the bar. Of course you can finish your drink during the film. All in all, I really enjoyed the movie and would go again anytime.

Dalibor Barkic: Very nice and friendly ambient. The service is good. The food is delicious. It's located in a quite and calm street. If you want to watch some non Hollywood movies go here. They have a small cinema. Very nice and ideal for a random movie night and a movie night with friends, partner or even alone. The sound system is very good and the screen is very big.
Response: Happy to hear, Dalibor! Hope to see you back soon!

Moritz Erdt: We went here for an open screening and the movies were really mixed. From completely artistic or maybe random (?) to amateurish to really well executed. It is a bit of a pain to get up there, true. But it’s totally worth the “struggle”. Upstairs they created a really cool atmosphere. Just don’t expect a huge screen or a blockbuster Theater.

Tita Andronica: Small Kino with seats in bricks!! But very nice and relaxed atmosphere. Art house movies and some experimental things... they organise an open screen night once a month. You just come on the 3rd wednesday of the month with your short film!

Masaharu Nishiura: I have been to a short film screening event. The short films were good. But the venue seems inaccessible to injured and handicapped people. The host / interviewer is arrogant, and the music they play is awful. I don't understand. Independent filmmakers, but they play Beatles, and even worse. Inside, there is also a normal cinema room. It has bricks, it looks a bit like a war period prison.

Jo-Hsuan Hsu: A small gem in the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The theater is cozy with very interesting brick seats, but definitely too hot in summer.

Ram Brandwain: Th place is on a roof of a residential building with 6 floors and no elevator, small screen, no AC, and almost double the price for a ticket than other kinos i went to Berlin. The room was so hot to sit in and watch the film, there was a home fan spinning next to the screen to get some air flow. It has a hipster vibe and unique but don’t go if you’re looking for the cinema experience. One of the weirdest cinemas I’ve been to.

Omi Willems: Super cute, comfortable cinema for cozy Berlin nights

Daniel Peña Ortiz: Who in the world thought that bricks with cushions were a great idea as seating for a cinema?

Nico Vasilevski: A great cinema with local queer highlight! I highly recommend this!

Roman Maurer: Hidden in nested backyards and beyond five flights of stairs lies this really cute cinema with the nicest love-seats I've ever had the pleasure to sit in. Video / Audio experience was very enjoyable and there was ample room between seats. I'd love to visit again.

CZMaestro: This place is hard to beat when it comes to community and vibe in the underground and independent cinema scene. SO cool. We went for the Cunningham 3D film a while back (to see it without the 3D, which I loved), but I'd love to return just to hang out some time! It has this very special energy that you've find some place truly unique and hidden. And though you've gotta look for it, and you've gotta climb to the top of a pretty high walk-up to get there, it is well worth it. Hope to return soon!

Kajal Kapoor: My friend and I were talking about how we both wanted to see a movie in the theater so we were going to go see ‘where the crawdads sing’ but turns out all the movies are in German not in English the day we went, so instead we watched this comedy movie called ‘nicht ganz kosher’ This theater was very nice and had popcorn, water, and candy. they were really nice comfortable seating in the theater and I would definitely go back if I wanted to see another German film. I believe there are days when all the films are in English I just happened to not be there that day.

D: One of my favorite cinemas with movies in the original version.

Ferdinand Diedrichs: Small cinema. Rather educated and snobby but friendly audience. Nice selection of movies, especially some you cannot see in bigger cinemas. Interesting food and drink offerings (liquorice and fritz-lemonades in addition to popcorn and cola). Unfortunately you have to have cash to buy food and drinks. The tickets can be purchased using cards.

Paul Szkibik: Movies being shown in English is a big plus. There is no seat reservation so better be there a bit early if you are particular.about where you will sit. Some of the screens are a bit on the smaller side so don't go in expecting an IMAX experience.

jutta Wohlrab: Oh I love my local off cinema. It is suchA great place to go to. A really amazing collection of movies to watch in a really nice and relaxed atmosphere. What else are you asking for it’s one of the really old of movie theaters and I hope it will stay forever

Louis Krages: Solid cinema with 2 large screening rooms. Sadly they mostly show German dub movies and the prices are kinda steep for such a small theater.

Noa Kaufmann: Small cinema, nice with the wife and friends!

Habibak TicTac: Pretty good cinema. Definitely not the best cinema out there, but a pretty great cinema

Tùng: Just awesome for cinephiles. Unforgettable experience with films like “Get Out (2017)”

marcella warkid: It was cute, im into a smaller cinema...staff was nice too

Gaber Zidar: As cinemaniac you have to come here and stay here forever...🎥🏢 just the tickets are a bit pricey... Almost cried when I realized I can't attend to any show due other obligations..😢

John Harrison: So great to see this! I used to deliver their mail, when working as a student in 1972, to the old address in Welserstrasse. Delightful people. Wishing the Institute every success.

Albaraa Alghamdi: Good but not that great normal theatres are great size so you don’t get lost but this is the complete opposite

Hannah: I visited here in 2017 during the Berlin International Film Festival and it was amazing! Highly recommend if you love anything to do with Film!

Jackson Emanuel: One of my favorite independent cinemas. Where else hosts a Tarkovsky retrospective every year? The selection is wonderful, a gem for cinephiles everywhere

Nomi Feldsehen: It's a cozy little cinema. I've been there only once but it reminded me of ICA cinema (London) a bit because of the size and the surrounding environment. I want to try another film there.

Oliver Mildau: A bit too small for my taste, but the movie selection offers must sees on a regular basis.

Andrew Grant: What's not to love about Berlin's cinematheque? Amazing theatre, fantastic programming. Only downside is that it's at the otherwise dreadful Potsdamer Platz.

Rahul: One of my favorite place. Good architect and beat interior and good for English language movies

Semih Ewdala: The place is decent. Staff is very helpful and nice and super cheap. Tho there was now break between.

Anna Mel: A unique experience! Ever since we moved to Berlin 6 months ago we wanted to go and finally had the chance and it was totally worth it!!! We watched Metropolis (1927) followed by the Babylon Orchestra Berlin and it was magical. Just one tip: I would recommend sitting up front instead of the back like we normally do at the cinema. Actually, when I go back, I would hope to be upstairs. And also, please, if you go with your friends, please don’t go out every chance you get to get beer/wine (disturbing passing in front of us, the space is too small and we want to watch) and don’t chat with your friends, it’s disrespectful to us who really want to enjoy the experience and to the orchestra. Ps. Get a poster at the entrance and some popcorn (5€ the huge one) with some wine/beer/non alcoholic drink at the bar :)

Sankar M: I watched a couple of Tamil movies in Babylon. Amazing theater atmosphere. This theater makes you feel like you are watching a movie in India.

Isabella Baum: Lovely place. It is old but gives very vintage vibes. I personally went for a Flamenco Presentation and it was truly beautiful. I would definitely visit again.

Constance Strawn: Easily my favorite place in this town. They being so explicitly antifascist - both in direct messaging like banners hung in the lobby and more subtly with the programming choices - helps me feel safe when I'm in there. It's one place in my life that I can really relax and let myself get lost in fantasy. I'm so happy to have them.

Fatma Hassan: We attended there one of the silent movies during the silent movies festival! The place is although old but well organized and clean, the staff there are so friendly as well, I will be back for sure!

Varun Hebbar: We booked the biggest screen in this theatre and the experience was okay overall. Not the best in terms of audio quality or screen size, but it's not too bad either. But the price was pretty cheap with 9 euros per ticket for a Kannada movie (Indian language)) vs Cinemaxx for example where it's always 13 euros per ticket for the same movie. There are some parking spaces nearby and there's also an U-bahn station in front of it, so it's easily accessible by both means of transport. You get popcorn and couple of snacks inside, and some drinks as well. The screen was pretty clean too but the seats were quite old. Overall you get what you pay for, so it's fine.

errezeta: Very nice old movie theater! I really liked it the neon logo in front of the building. The seats were spacious and comfortable. The image quality was ok for an old cinema, it was what you would expect. They host from time to time movie festivals from different countries which I find very interesting, for seeing something different from Hollywood movies. I would definitely recommend this place.

Christopher Orr: Pretty much everything I've experienced over five years of visiting Babylon has been excellent: silent film screenings (especially Buster Keaton), cinema organ accompaniment, orchestra accompaniment, documentaries, festivals, talks, the prices, the building, and the popcorn!

harsha huilgol: Well, a unique experience. Watched Kantara movie on a screen which had approximately 70 seats. It felt watching a movie on a large screen in a large Living hall 😀. Loved the experience though.

Hyo: Went to watch Korean Independent movies and enjoyed a lot :)

ACUD Kino: what do users think?

Daily Chinese: Cinema with a large history. They accept only cash. People who are working there have a passion about their job, they know everything about the cinema, movies and whole history of this place and cinematography. I would love to recommend this place for all film lovers, and who is looking for unique experience. Cinema is located on the last floor. The price for the tickets is around 10 euro +.

Piero D'Onofrio: A small cinema in Berlin where it is often possible to see films and documentaries outside the normal commercial circuit and particularly interesting from an artistic, social, political and experimental point of view. Thanks to the director, a passionate and competent woman who often presents the screenings to the public in person. There would be many places like this all over the world, as an alternative to the globalization of the audiovisual market!

Jason Bone: This kino 2 has about 50 seats, and is so cozy. I enjoyed the Paddington 2 movie there with 6 Euros.

Sara Al Ahmad: Small cinema very cozy. They have nice movies. There is also a club and a cafe. They also have a small theater. There's always some cultural activities

Darko Stevanovic: Nice Kino with very cool atmosphere and indie film screenings. Prices are reasonable.

Fabio: Small but really cosy and cool

Carlo: Great ambience!

Katarina Nemec: One of my favourite cinemas/culture/bar/experience places in B.

Regina Vitányi: Amazing alternative cinema and cultural space

Xavier Pade Campenon: Nice arty cinema. Don't miss the Short Attacks every month!

Filmtheater am Friedrichshain: what do users think?

Toby Tobyson: Nice and friendly staff with decent selection of drinks and snacks. The seating, sound and video quality is standard. Nothing exciting.

Marwan Dessouki: The seats are comfortable and the movie theater has a nice vibe. Would recommend to go for a nice casual movie, but the sound system could benefit from an upgrade.

Alan D'souza: Really good for the price, but I have visited theatres with better picture and sound quality

camille sanchez: Very awesome cinéma room, you have space thr staff always smile, and the popcorn is good.

roni madhana: Really nice cinema and one of the best popcorn in Berlin.

Simone Secci: One of my favorite cinemas in Berlin. Beautiful old building, always a great selection of movies.

Timo Nazari: Amazing old eastern German movie theater that is part of the York group. They offer a wide selection of original sound movies with German subtitles. Great selection of condiments and sodas. The seats are comfortable!

A S: On some summer days this place has a magical feel to it. I'm not sure if it is the Volkspark nearby or the beautiful Bötzow Kiez neighborhood next door. Before going to the show you can have some delicious food at a restaurant in the area and after watching the movie you will also find a great bar.

LF: Cosy small (not too much) multi room movie theater near Volkspark Friedrichshain. Nice atmosphere and comfortable chairs. It is part of the York Group. You can buy tickets online or at entrance.

Sebastian: Amazing film theater in a classic style. Lots of blockbusters but also independent movies. Original versions and subtitles as well. Good prices and very friendly staff. Clear recommendation.
