Kame Berlin Japanese Food and Snacks: what do users think?

Kelvin Chin: By chance walked by, peeked in and saw the cafe offered rice bowls and wraps. I ordered the beef don (rice bowl) with an extra piece of fried chicken for €8. It was delicious and fast late lunch. Cute place.

Elena Bout: Unfortunately disappointed. However went here because I saw it’s top rated for matcha. One of the stuff was wasn’t nice rather rude, that was making not wanna stay. Strange thing with minimum purchase of 5 euros… as for matcha it was okay, but since it was top rated I was expecting great matcha. I’m a matcha fun, very picky with it, with a grade being ceremonial not low or baking matcha. Anyways, it’s okay , not great. A bit disappointed after all reviews:/

Oscar Barrios (LECHIP): Delicious snack. Delicious karage onigirazu. All the matcha things you can imagine. Very friendly and cozy place, plus they play great music! Vegetarian options: Multiple vegetarian dishes

Anastasia: Nice place, matcha size and price is a big plus. Matcha cheesecake is good, not sugary. Want to try more things from their menuRecommended dishes Matcha Cheesecake …More

Safiera Kho: You always feel most welcome here - great vibes- and matcha lattes:). You should try the homemade cookies (my favorite: sesame) for only €0.80 a piece. It’s my favorite place to sit back and relax after a busy day in buzzling Berlin. The best service by far from the lovely staff!

Lisa: Wanted to visit this place for a while. In my mind it is Mamecha from the westside. There was a long queue, because they serve food as well and there seem to be only three people it was a bit slow. We got a kaffe latte, a matcha latte and a mochi. Friendly service, nic vibe a cool illustrations. The paper cups seem to not match the place tho, a bit too cute.

Kame Berlin, Japanese cafe and snacks: what do users think?

LIDIA Ś.: Been visiting whenever in Berlin. The place is located a bit remotely in western part of Berlin but its a lovely cafe with small outdoor seating. Their matcha tiramisu is amazing. Great matcha grade used for matcha latte and very tasty genmaitcha. You do get a carafe of water with each order as well. Staff is lovely, the only disappointment is that it is opened 2 days a week only.

JennatOfficial: The price is expensive for a small portion. However they have a nice matcha tiramisu that you should try if you are a matcha lover!

Kosta Chen: The matcha tiramisu and the yuzu berry cheesecake tasted gorgeous! Definitely will come again (and again)!

ZD: The "bento box" I paid 13 € for.There are much betterThe 2 stars is for the location and cute interior.Food: 1/5 | Service: 1/5 | Atmosphere: 3/5 …More

David Lojewski: Very delicious match cheesecake. The stuff was very friendly and the decoration nice. They also have miso soup and rice burgers that look very promising. We really enjoyed the visit. Prices are moderate and you can pay with credit card.

M C: This is the only place in Germany (up to now) where I could find melon pan. It was quite tasty. The iced matcha latte was also very well brewed, not falling behind the tokyo quality. They also accept payments by card.

Benjaluck Fai Yuttisee: Lovely little place with interesting interior. Many options of tasty Japanese pastry. Delicious matcha latte among other choices of drinks. Totally recommend the curry pan and matcha cookie. Can pay with card. Staff are friendly.

Elle Rivers: Nice and cozy place to hangout with friends and family and have some coffee or tea. They always have fresh bread here and the Japanese bread selection changes from time to time. They also have a lunch menu from Monday to Saturday. They offer Onigirazu (rice wrap), chicken teriyaki sandwich and/or miso soup with some side dishes (potato salad). You must try their matcha baked goodies too such as a matcha cake, matcha brownies and matcha cookies. You can also of course get your Japanese Tea fix here. Staff are nice too. Always friendly to you and they’re all Japanese. The place is also kid-friendly.

Kyra Alas: Awesome Japanese café with delicious pastries. They have good hot drinks as well. The place is usually always full.

Charlotte: Super native and inexpensive!!! If you are a matcha lover, you wouldn’t want to miss this little restaurant.

Sugafari Laden Berlin: what do users think?

O S: Great store with lots of different candy from across the globe.

Heran Bago: Candy from all the world. Very friendly staff. Awful for your teeth and wallet. Beautiful displays. Great gift opportunity. 🍬

Kristine Hørlück: A small place, but if you take the size of the place into consideration then it had a rather large variety from America to Korean and Japanese candy. It also has themed goodie bags! A cute place overall

P A: Cute little store with a huge selection. Incredibly happy to find lots of stuff I love! The only disappointment was seeing all the pop-tarts and the only ones missing were the unfrosted ones, which are the only ones I can eat. Although this made me very sad, the store is amazing and I will be back (all the time probably) picking up more US items.

Rüdiger Horst: A small colorful shop. Nice staff. Pricy tho

James / Jamie: I go there on a somewhat regular basis to fill up my candy shelf with British and American stuff. Great offers and also new things on a regular basis!

__: Expensive and surprisingly underwhelming stock of American candies.

Oukan Tea: what do users think?

Katie Mai: Great Japanese place in Berlin! Very quaint and peaceful inside. Curry and rice was nutritious and delicious. Also order black sesame drink and a red bean walnut mochi. All vegan - highly recommend!

Irem Erdem: If you are a matcha&tea lover and looking for alternative drinks try this place. Their Hojicha is soo good! Absolute gem in the neighborhood. Sweets and lunch options are available too!

Elena -: beautiful and peaceful, went for lunch. i would love know how the marinated cucumber inside the onigiri is made, it was very very good. got hojicha and genmaicha tea

Sergiu Foca: Small tea house and a nice option for lunch. Plenty of Japanese tea to choose from and really kind and attentive service.

Valerie Roy: The food was excellent and beautifully plated. The food takes a while to arrive between each course, but it is well worth it. This is a restaurant that is ideal for special occasions or a romantic evening with your partner. Our server spoke English and was very attentive to my gluten-free diet.

Catherine L: Calm and quiet place, no odd food odors just tea and nice music there

Sara Cifani: Great variety of teas to choose from. Mouthwatering desserts perfect to take a break in rainy days. Really enjoyed the cosy atmosphere, combining authentic design and smart details (usb outlets everywhere and complimentary WiFi). The savory dishes are also really good with several vegetarian options. My favorite was the curry. They keep me coming back by often adding new interesting items to the menu.

Valerie Chaika: Quality matcha. WiFi is a plus as reception is bad inside. Though they refused to give me filter water because ‘they can’t charge for it’. It feels wrong, when you just spent 15$ on a drink & mocha :)

M. S.: Very Japanese cafe. Nice interior design with style. High quality of food. Located very central, in a tourist area.easy to find.price is reasonable regarding its quality and location. Friendly staff. PS matcha cheese cake taste very similar to the one in matcha matcha (which no longer exist)

Chaya Dein Japanladen: what do users think?

Vic Tyler: I have been preparing matcha myself for some time now and I used to be disappointed when I ordered matcha out. But not here. The tea was prepared with love and the perfect technique, served with cute and delicious Japanese sweets. The mochi I tried here were amazing, the matcha chocolate was great and the staff were really nice. I’d love to come again!

Gabriele Marogna: Very cute place, the price are somewhat premium but so are the goods, very aesthetically pleasing, nice view on the outside for the corner where you can get Matcha and mochi of different kinds, good time :D

Kai Mc: Great azuki ice cream for 2 euro!! Very sweet store owner. Authentic Japanese products from bowls to kimonos, snacks and more :)

Renata: Friendly staff and big range of Japanese tea and handcrafted tableware and items for making tea, from different manufacture and workshops of Japan. Interesting place for Japanese culture fans, here you can buy masks, daruma doll and yukata.

Xenia Blanco: The owner is Japanese and speaks good English. She is lovely and has her own tea brand in the store. Great assortment of interesting Japanese teas along with pottery, ceramics and other Japanese goods. They serve some tea in house.

Hoang Van Nguyen: Relaxing ambience and the shop has a variety of beautiful japanese products. Love to come here for a cup of tea with a view of Kaiser Wilhelm Church. You can refill the tea with hot water for free.

Inken Paepke: Beautiful japanese tableware, everything you could need for celebrating tea. The staff is very friendly and you can enjoy some tea and snacks right there (nice view inclusive).

Thomas Hofstaetter: Nice place for high end Japanese tea. Good tea ware.

Guido Neun: Delicious Teatime and place to relax

Marieke Kramer: Beautifully handcrafted Japanese items and very good service

tenzan lab.: what do users think?

HL S: Good 👍 shaved ice but i hope they prepare themselves some proper bowl or something, that would be what I expect when I order 10€ ice-cream, I didn’t really liked to eat in takeaway bowl with paper spoon. Been there couple times but the same every time. Beside that everything nice.

Macchan: I was expecting nothing much - but it was really good! Took the vegan peach one. We shared cause I thought one would be too much but one each should be manageable as it is so light in the mouth. Can’t wait to come back. On Saturdays it is crowded, so don’t be in a hurry, need to wait some time but worth it in my opinion. I heard the staff speaking Japanese, the place is legit!

Sonia Ran: So good! I went in the evening and we were practically the only people there. I got the pumpkin shaved ice. They put a lot of work into the art, hand made and everything. Really tasty.

Benjaluck Fai Yuttisee: Seeing many 4 & 5 stars reviews I had to try it. Unfortunately my experience was not quite there. The shaved ice was tasty, but nothing special. The service was extremely slow and they got orders wrong for myself and multiple other customers.

Donovon Tan: Starting off with the “Peach 2022”, i really love how each components of the dessert compliments each other, you have the Sweetness from the Condensed Milk, creaminess from the Milk and Salted Mascarpone Cream, Saltiness from the Salted Mascarpone and Guérande Salt(France’s most famous salt marshes), Freshness and acidity from the Peace Sauce and Lime Zest. Finishing off with Roasted Sesame which leaves a roasty hint at the back of your tongue. . The name “5 Elements” indicates 5 distinct flavors SWEET, SOUR, SALTY, BITTER, and UMAMI. Sweetness which came from the Condensed Milk, Acidity from the HEBESU and lemon syrup, Saltiness from the Scorched Tamari Soy- Sauce Cream, Bitterness from the peel of the Lemon Slice, and the Umami from the Soy-Sauce Cream. Finishing with Rice Cracker for crunch and a roasty hint and Mochi for glutinous texture. Follow me on Instagram @donnie_foodie for more food reviews and recommendations around Berlin and Germany!!❤️

Tala Hatem: Very pleasant experience. Their shaved ice is heavenly and you can’t go wrong with the cold brew of the day . Staff was also unbelievably friendly.10/10 would definitely visit again .

joanne hu: Really cute and authentic Japanese cafe. Great matcha flavour with red bean and the mango also tasted fresh. However, do expect a long wait… We waited for about an hour for two kakigori. A tiny point of improvement: maybe adding something chewy to the kakigori, like mochi or actual pieces of mango would elevate this dish.

S L: Was sincerely surprised how good Kakigori is (the one in the pic is a Anzu Daifuku). Even the drinks are really good, with great matcha flavour 😊. Perfect in this heat to be honest.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

pigo: Goasia supermarket, my favourite place to shopping in Germany. Clean store with very organised shelves with clear labels for me to locate foods and goods. Thousands of choices for cooking Chinese, Japanese, Korean and other Asian dishes.

Gottfried Kibelka: 5 stars because finding a sizeable Asia market inside a bookstore is a fun surprise. I found prices a bit high and the selection of cooking vines and teriyaki too limited but I ended up filling my backpack anyway.

Serin Jacob: Really wide selection, mostly good prices. They have an entire wall of ramen. Every kind and every price range you can imagine. I got like 25 items for 32€! Unfortunately location is a bit weird, inside a supermarket , you have to go all the way down to find it.

Mary Mustard: Enormous! A big selection of Asian products. One of the biggest Asian supermarkets in Berlin.

Daniel Villanueva Raisman: Very nice variety of Asian, mostly Chinese, ingredients, food, and even snacks. Overall, I would recommend it both for people looking for specific ingredients difficult to find in normal supermarkets or for those wanting to try something new.

A S: One of my fave supermarkets in Berlin. If you need real chilly then that is the place to go to. Also just anything like instant noodles, shrimp crackers, ramune, etc. Its all available. They also have a huge selection of tableware from Tokyo Studio. P.s. This is the place to go to if you need a 20kg sack of rice.

Chris C: Great selection of Asian cuisine and products like noodles, sauces, frozen food, produce, snacks, cookware and dishes. Great Raman selection with different brands and flavours. Love the extra spicy versions and the mama pho. Tasty frozen dumplings along with dipping vinegars are also another go to for me. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you are looking to create Asian dishes with authentic products. The prices are also very reasonable too.

Nikoletta: Nice asian shoop. Not so big but have all things what you need.

m: I went there for the first time as I was told that they have better selection of product than in my neighborhood. Many things are more expensive than the other places I usually shop. They charged 30% more than it said on the price card for half the things I bought. Unfortunately, I noticed it at home. It was really disappointing as I paid for train tickets and travelled way further than usual just to go there.

yashpriya sharma: The Market is nice with a variety of selection of asian food however, the staff is not helpful. The service staff are expected to help the customer navigate the store but here I found the service person to be extremely rude and bad tempered.

Mahmoud Orma: Has a good collection of products, but this branch needs to be renovated. One fridge was making a very annoying noise.

Michele Randleston: Loved this store. Nice variety of Asian groceries. They have basic fresh Veggies to make Asian meals too.

Louie Anthony: Even thou I found the ingredients and products I wanted desperately once I got home and checked, a few of the items were expired and spoiled. The trip back was to long and I decided to throw them out but the rest was good, would I visit there again, I don’t know if I will.

謝幸娟: Right out of U-Bahn, very convenient to reach, also have 10% discount during Saturday!

Arun Prabu Semalaiappan: 2x fire noodles 🤤😁 I always buy this here, and we also find a variety of noddles, seaweed, seaweed snacks. Also the fresh greens, love it. Good place to find asian groceries. Not to mention the knives , a compact mortor and pestle, soup bowls and chopsticks. I keep buying something new from any of these.

Groncrafter Hd: This place is pretty small and there is not a lot of variety but it serves its purpose. There are no available employees to ask for help exept dor the ones at the checkout. But all of that is not so important. The most Important thing is that there is way to many customers at once in there for a shop so small. The hallways are crowded and there is no way around that. I, as a visitor was not able to follow the corona rules which reallz tripped me of. I hope this helped you

shubhra bhatt: Desserts taste as good as they look. Lovely & delicious. We ended up trying 4 different types between 2 people. Can’t wait to try all of them. The coffee was good as well. The staff was absolutely friendly. The café is small so be prepared for a take out or wait to get a table.

Yi-Tung: Tasty coffee. There are limited seats so we can only take away. Highly recommend to call in advance for reservation so you don’t have to wait and stand in the cold. The cakes look like art! We will definitely come back and try them. You can really feel the Japanese vibe in the café.

Abdelrahman Alhato I عبدالرحمن الحتو: I love the place.. nice staff and amazing products. I tried the Matcha Tiramisu.. and I recommend it.. an easy recommendation.. they give you water with a glass on the table.. I also tried the classic cold green tea.. they give good amount so it can be for two. Enjoy your visit

Huyen My Nguyen: Cute little café serving mesmerizing tiny cakes. The Matcha Sesame was just perfect! Everything was delicious, not too sweet. The prices are a little bit high, but definitely worth it for these tiny works of art. Sadly the Matcha Tiramisu was sold out, but that will be reason enough to come back!

Keith Zhou: 3rd time over the past five years. Walked into the cafe completely by accident back in 2017. Then tried to come here for the matcha tiramisu every time I visited Berlin. They now only open in the weekends because of Covid. The matcha tiramisu tasted exactly the same as five years ago. Hope everything remains this way. Will definitely come back next time.

Canny Chiang: Best cakes in Berlin so far! I enjoyed the Japanese x French pastries a lot. I come from Asia and do prefer French and Japanese styles of cakes. Komine made my day. We took away 5 different cakes. When arriving around 3 pm on Saturday, I was lucky no queue in front of me. However, after I picked the cakes (8 mins after entering the shop) there were 6 people at least queued behind me. The seats in the cafe were all taken. They are making a really good business for sure. In a way, good guarantee for tasty deserts! We had canele, Mont Blanc, early grey mousse and the pomelo cakes. We are happy with them all. Very sophisticated, nice texture and well balanced between freshness and sweetness. The packaging was well handled as well. We purchase around 3pm and only got home at 6 pm. The cakes were still Ina good shape! We were very happy with the cakes and will go back again try other flavors of cakes.

Septi Dwisidi Hapsari: My go-to place to buy Asian spices or fresh vegetables and herbs. I wouldn’t said that you can find everything, but they have most of the things that you’ll probably need. The location is inside Potsdamer S-Bahn, which I think really convenient. Sometimes they also have seasonal fruits other than the frozen one. Price is decent. Expect some queues if you come around 4 pm. PS: if you can put Indomie Goreng (original) and Indomie Goreng Rendang in stock, it would be very much appreciated

S. C.: Limited space, hence not a large variety of products as you will find in other Go Asia shops in Berlin. Perhaps this is nothing the shop leader nor the employees can do. BUT what can be improved: a lot of products lack price tags. It becomes rather intransparent especially when you’d compare the prices between brands. Hope that this can be taken care of soon.

Nomad 97: You will find everything here: soy sauces, noodles, instant noodles, soft drinks, Asian snacks, rice packed and supposedly grown in Asia, all kinds of hot chili 🌶 peppers, even the Asian bowls , plates and mugs. What else? Friendly service and quick cues.

Lalit Badgujar: Go Asia! A good shop to have most of the Asian food. A bit pricy. Here you can find almost all the well known brands from Asian countries.Currently they are having an offer. I have posted a pic of it

María M: So many special products and open almost always, very recommended

Sesame Sprinkles: This vegan cafe uses mostly organic, seasonal and local ingredients. Hence, prices are a bit higher. There are cakes, cookies, scones as well as a couple of savory sandwiches. At the moment, they have a particularly large diversity of banana bread! Sweet bakery items are made on location. Looks and taste are in the style of home-made bakery. Not very refined, rather rustic and hand-made. What we had was just okay, in my opinion. The interior is decorated mostly in pink, and the atmosphere is friendly and calm. There are plenty of seats inside. Vegetarian options: all vegan Dietary restrictions: no dairy, no egg

Eugenia Mozgova: Totally amazing experience - flat white and vegan cheesecake just to die for!Iced Sakura latte- very refreshing coffee-free summer drink! Great service and place! Totally recommended. On pricey side though

Sahar Ben Shushan: Beautiful boutique coffee place, everything is so tidy and clean. The coffee is great with homemade cakes and cookies. Highly recommended! I am so in love with the place vibe, they did there really good job

Matthias Pfeiffer: Had a very tasty (and vegan!) dark chocolate cake. It was a great blend of taste in combination with their Sakura Latte, which includes a bit of cherry blossom flavor. Thankfully not at all to sweet, just the right amount for a sweet snack at lunch 🍰☕😋 Vegetarian options: Have various vegetarian and vegan options.

anjana kumar: Great cafe place. Awesome place to chill out with friends. Very friendly staffs and nice service.Dishes tried: Chocolate cake, banana cake with walnut, banana cake with chocolate, mango cheesecake and of course some awesome coffees. Gives you a very good vibe.

Tudor Maiereanu: This place was amazing! The desserts they have are so fresh and tasty! Not too sweet, not too heavy, just perfect! The owners are also super nice and are more than happy to help with any recommendations in terms of the products they serve. The area itself is also very peaceful and it definitely gives a calm vibe!

Antonietta Trotta: Beautiful place lovely caring service, let alone the best cheesecake ever… and the best matcha tea I’ve ever had! A paradise for vegan sweet tooths! Definitely worth trying

Polly Straughen: Near to my hotel and wish I had found it sooner. Great filtered coffee and a sweet roll. Then grabbed a vegan sandwich and banana bread for the train ride. Wonderful service. Eat inside or out.
