Fenriz Gym: what do users think?

LW1: I am a BJJ white belt from Australia who dropped in for a roll while in Berlin for a short time. Ended up going to some night classes (back to back). Staff were easy to talk to and welcoming. I felt very safe and comfortable. Coaches were easy to understand and gave great advice. Gym is clean and change rooms are good! Classes were in English and rolls were solid! 🤙🏼My classes were with Peter and Felipe and I was welcomed to the club by Robert and Michelle (excellent service!). Thanks for the warm welcome and happy rolling 🙌
Response: Thanks a lot and safe travels. Come say hi when you’re in the area again 🤙

Cameron McLean: Needed a trainer for my 3-week trip to Berlin to keep up my motivation as a near total beginner. Felipe provided me with outstanding personalised instruction over 8 or 9 sessions, which he linked to group classes. This was a huge learning step for me - cannot recommend Felipe highly enough.
Response: Hi Cameron, Thank you for your nice review

Camila Wahrendorff: The gym is very well organized, the teachers are great and they all speak English. If it only had a Fan so we don’t suffer too much in summer it would be perfect!
Response: Hi Camila, thanks for the nice review. We're glad you like it here. It's hard to keep a place like ours cool with so many people hard at work and outside temperatures of 35+ but we're trying to maintain a good climate through our ventilation system as much as possible. Thanks again and see you on the mat :)

Dragan Bacivan: One of the best MMA gyms I've ever visited. Been here for a few months and I love it. The BJJ instructors are highly experienced, give good instructions and attention to students. The vibe is also positive among grapplers/sparring partners. Highly recommend! Thanks Fenriz
Response: Thanks a lot Dragan

Sangram Gupta: Good place for everything, MuayThai, Boxing, Wrestling, JuiJitsu and MMA. Nice staff and coaches accompanied with usually good crowd. Hygienic gym. Sometimes the owner is rude specially on the slippers if you forget, but he is so to everyone. People feel bad about it but well atleast he is not partial there.
Response: Hi Sangram, thank you for the 5 stars and the constructive feedback.

kris howard: Amazing gym friendly reception and coach's. I have no idea where some of the negative reviews about the staff are coming from. In the almost 10 times I've been here they were always nice and accommodating even when I forgot some equipment.
Response: Thank you for the great review Kris. You're always welcome

Liselot Ramirez (Lee): I took the Muay Thai class and it's just like they describe it: learning together, very respectful, and for a newbie like me the coach and the other students gave me the chance to keep trying, and that's why I'm coming back. Robert was at the desk and answered all my questions; he's very professional and helpful. The facilities are super clean, with great space, and with everything you need. You have two free trial classes, it's good to take them and have an idea what you want to do next, meet the coaches and the people. Overall, everyone is great here.
Response: Hi Lee! Thank you so much for the nice review :) we’re glad you enjoyed your visit and hope to see you back soon. All the best ✌️

Andrew Howden: There is a Muay Thai gym about 100m from my house. I do not go there — Instead, I cycle to Fenriz! It is near the best gym I tried — maybe on a median, the best.
Response: Thank you for the kind words Andrew :) You're always welcome.

Rikard Hjort: Great facility, great coaches, great atmosphere, lots of classes both morning and evening, there's even a weight training gym area, and whenever there's no class you're free to train alone or with a partner. If you're a busy person who values flexibility and quality, this is a great choice.
Response: Thank you Rikard! Happy to hear you like it here :) you're always welcome.

Lukas Bubner: Great teamvibes, coaches, equipment and hygiene - Even for visitors from other BJJ Gyms! I'm excited to exercise soon in Fenriz Gym for my stay in Berlin!!
Response: Thank you, Lukas!

BJJ DOJO Berlin: what do users think?

Niels ten Oever: Very nice gym with dedicated, technical, and kind trainers. Trained here for about a month while in Berlin, welcomed by a dedicated group of all levels and genders. A lot of fun to train, drill, spar, and chat. Yoga sessions on the weekend are very nice plus, and the open mat on Saturday is amazing. As well as the ability to train mornings and evenings.
Response: Hey Niels. Thank you for coming by and spending time with us. We hope to see you in the future !

christian hänchen: I been to quite a few BJJ dojos and this stand out by far. Not only is the community and atmosphere extremely pleasant and inclusive. But also Rodrigo (owner and head coach) is amazing in the way the teaches - precise, patient and approachable!
Response: Hello Christian Thanks for your kind words. See you soon!

Sebastian Cushing: As a beginner it has been a great atmosphere. The dojo has many options that provide flexibility to different schedules. Rodrigo is a patient and detail oriented instructor who is personable and ready to answer any questions. The dojo is clean, well organized and very welcoming.
Response: Hello Sebastian. Thank you for your feedback!

Serbay Arslanhan: I joined the gym recently. Everyone has been very nice and offered help whenever I needed / asked for it. For me, having options to join morning or evening classes was also very helpful for fitting the classes into my schedule.
Response: Hello Serbay, Thank you for your review!

Rodrigo Catao: Great place for starters in BJJ. Rodrigo is a great coach and the Dojo has a great infra structure. Students from all levels train here in great friendly environment.
Response: Hello Rodrigo. Many thanks for coming by and bringing the family with you!

Eva Lund: This is an awesome dojo! It is beginner friendly and adapts to the different needs of the students: hobby-training, competition preparation, etc.; the classes are mostly taught in english (with a mix of german and portuguese ;-)).
Response: Thank you very much for your words! See you on the mat.

Markus Twele: Great place! Amazing coaches and very welcoming atmosphere. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

dan: My first private class in BJJ with Rodrigo was yesterday. Before heading over, I explained what I was interested in learning and experiencing for my first class. He delivered everything in a competent, encouraging, and patient manner. The Dojo is brand new and done with care. A calming atmosphere. I can't compare my experience with others since it is my first, but I was personally looking for this.
Response: Hello Dan. I am happy that you've had a positive experience. Thanks for coming by and see you in the future!

Valerio Massucci: A highly skilled and dedicated Professor as Rodrigo and the most welcoming team sets the perfect environment for students both at beginner and advanced level whether adults or kids. The brand new location has quite a spacious tatami and as far as lessons there is plenty of choice between morning and evening classes every day of the week and open mats during the weekend. Last but not least very high hygiene standards are kept throughout the gym, a very important factor considering the inherent dynamics of this martial art. All in all a great atmosphere at the Dojo and would recommend anyone to pay a visit.
Response: Thanks for the feedback!

Q L: An awesome academy of jiujitsu. It is located at a convenient location in Kreuzberg. The approach of the teaching is focused on movements and heuristic principles. Will train here when I visit Berlin again!
Response: Thank you very much for visiting us! See you soon

Mewis Dojo martial arts school: what do users think?

lesyk goral: Just after one month of mixed martial arts exercises in Mewis Dojo my life changed: i feel happier and alive. I became more confident, stronger and met some amazing people! Very friendly atmosphere and professional staff make me to come there almost everyday. Even though the course is in german they are trying to translate everything to me so i don't feel like an outcast. Strongly reccommended!

André Mewis: We BELIEVE in earning your trust in a community, where EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

Paul Alexander Appl: Since Believe Martial Arts and Mewis Dojo are the same company, I am writing the review for both. The assessment is primarily about business practice. I strongly advise against this company! Do yourself a favor and invest your money please, please in another dojo... Explanation: On October 7th, 2021 I went to a trial session and signed a contract that day. The contract should run for 12 full months and be extended by a further 12 months if I do not cancel six weeks before the end of the contract period. Exact wording in the contract: “The term is 12 paid months. The term is extended in each case by the duration of the initial term unless it is terminated in writing at least 6 weeks before the end of the initial term or extension period." So I terminated the contract in good time as of October 7th, 2022. When I asked, I was then emailed confirmation of receipt on August 23, 2022 and the confirmation of cancellation was sent to me on September 30, 2023(!!!). At first I thought it was an oversight on the part of the member administration and asked them to correct it. However, she said that the contract had already started on October 1st, 2021 and I had therefore canceled 3 days (!) too late. I signed the contract on October 7th, 2021 (provided with the date of the signature) and had not received any benefits beforehand, so how can the contract already be signed on October 1st? have started? Who would sign such a contract? After the problem could not be solved with the member administration, I asked André Mewis in the WhatsApp group that has the training group to take care of the problem. He's always been very nice to me so I thought it was an isolated case and must have been a communication issue with membership management. In the group it turned out that there are several problems of a similar nature and that the participants are reluctant to talk about them openly, partly for fear of repression. Mr. Mewis's reaction was to kick me out of the WhatsApp group (...) and then write to me privately. --> So this is the "Mewis Dojo / Believe Martial Arts way" of dealing with conflicts... Incidentally, the WhatsApp group is the central source of information for appointments and special features. So I was excluded from this service for the remainder of the contract period... In the private chat he then wrote to me, among other things: "...the contract begins on October 1st - that's why you have also marked the direct debit authorization for the 1st below!" With the direct debit authorization you have the choice between the 1st and the 15th of the month (not October, but in general). That's standard practice and of course that doesn't mean I backdate the contract... When asked that before 07.10. received no benefit, he replies that he had already been in contact with me via WhatsApp and that it was all his working hours and his benefits. They would therefore like to calculate the time before the contract is concluded, the customer acquisition... Which reputable company would ever try that...? Today, on October 4th, 2022, both the next monthly fee and a service fee for the next year were debited from my account, although I had already revoked my direct debit authorization and the cancellation is already active... It seems like every penny is being squeezed out of customers, even without a legal basis. In summary, it was a terrible experience with a dubious company, which I would not wish on anyone and I am glad to have good legal protection insurance... Better invest your money in another dojo... LG
Response: [October 3rd, 2022, 7:33am] André Mewis: I'm writing here now so that we don't bother the other participants in the group on a public holiday! My membership administration (service provider) not only represents me and my many families, but also many other fitness studios and martial arts schools! In particular, we did not communicate specifically about your case! They adhere to general regulations! I will briefly explain my point of view: we have been communicating since June 2021; on July 15th you signed up for a trial session, cancelled, made a new appointment and made a new appointment, then canceled again and made a new appointment for the end of July - beginning of August; then we targeted it again at the end of August and on September 14 you postponed it again to October; on 1.10. I had asked again and on 4.10. and 5.10. we finally have another date for 7.10. did! All benefits and my working hours When we both made the contract, I discussed everything with you ... the contract begins on October 1st - that's why you marked the direct debit authorization for the 1st below! I gave you clothes, equipment and fees worth 150€ as a gift! I hope I was able to help a little from my side and bring some light into the darkness! [5.10.2022, 08:50] André Mewis: Being kicked out of the group sounds very hard! I'd rather communicate with someone in person than harass members in such a group! Basically, I like the idea of making such things public if they would affect everyone in general, then I would be able to save this and time in the future! But I pay my membership administration, that it does its job and relieves me of such things, but I'm happy to help with ambiguities! I wouldn't call it an entrepreneurial risk, rather an advance payment & service and yes, maybe customer acquisition! The cancellation confirmation has been correctly issued by the member administration! In principle, we do not give anything for free when signing a contract! With us, only the 1st or 15th is marked and is then also the start of the contract! For you it is October 1st, that's what I communicated before you signed!

Omid Sa: The studio is not at all suitable for adults and advanced users. André Mewis seems disinterested and is only motivated when it comes to new members. The training with Birgit is a disaster, you feel like you're in a children's group with her and you're treated like that after I expressed my criticism, including the forced dress code with the trick of selling home-made products After the criticism, André Mewis terminated my contract.
Response: Dear Omid, your message to me was: "Your training is very varied and motivating, Birgit's is very bad, I have to say"! Birgit wrote to me: "FYI, Omid came today in light blue shorts and a muscle shirt, Lukas in a beige t-shirt. I kindly pointed out to them that our clothes (t-shirt) should be worn as a sign of teamwork and respect Omid doesn't like our T-shirts (the material is too thick for him) and it's probably too expensive for him, football gave them free, if he gets them for free from us, he always wears them"! Your contract with us, as a gesture of goodwill, was only for 6 months (I gave you a T-shirt of good quality and print as a gift - you had been with us for more than six months and you were no longer happy! That's why I have complied with your wish and canceled your contract! Thank you very much for your feedback and the time & journey together with us!

Zoro Zero: Not even brought the children to the rehearsal traning, they make their prices according to ideas, although I wanted to know the fixed prices and what kind of contracts there are, unsympathetic
Response: Thank you for the feedback and the rating! "The" definitely means the call center that arranges the appointments for the first lesson for our two schools! We have many offers with different terms. The first hour and consultation afterwards is free of charge and if you are not only interested in the prices, but also in our age and performance-based programs, I would be happy to invite you to one of my two schools to get to know each other! Please make an appointment, I am sure you will be positively changed and enthusiastic!

Till Müller: The training corresponds 100% to my expectations of a modern and yet traditional martial arts school. The children are introduced to the sport physically and mentally and are also taught the basic values of karate. Thanks to André and the team.

Romuald Lubert: My son has been in the Mewis Dojo martial arts school for 4 years. He has become more confident and aware. His attention and discipline have increased. The family atmosphere is ideal and my son really enjoys training with the many children and the trainers. It is the optimal type of sport for children who have a lot of energy. I can only recommend this school.

Paulina Schneider: I had been looking for a suitable sport for a long time until I came across the Mewis Dojo through a friend. I was already enthusiastic after the trial lessons and now I go to lessons several times a week. Although I haven't been there long, I notice how the training helps me in everyday life. I feel safer on the road and my self-discipline has improved a lot. I'm also much more balanced and controlled. The people in the dojo are uncomplicated and friendly and the lessons are a lot of fun.

Prinzess Prinz: A great martial arts school. We have tested many schools and all of them outperform. A very nice, competent team. The children have a lot of fun in the class, learn a lot and the self-confidence of my little ones was suddenly increased. Your teacher told me, "... as if you had flipped a switch." She is now happy to work on the lessons and the grades have been greatly improved. Many thanks to everyone!

Tzvetana Ivanova: Our 9-year-old son has been training in the dojo for 2 years and is still totally enthusiastic and motivated. The trainers are competent and don't "just" teach the children karate, but values for life! We can highly recommend the martial arts school!

Spitfire Academy Berlin GmbH: what do users think?

Andrew Barnes: Great gym with a really nice, multicultural group of athletes/hobbyists and a great atmosphere overall. Instructors are friendly and approachable & make beginners feel welcome. Class taught in a mix of German & English but everyone is accommodated. Would definitely recommend.

Baran Calisci: Nice gym and strong fighters. Friendly staff and a lot of courses. High humidity in the gym because many ppl sweat in small area but nothing to bad. Just need to get used to it.

#yogamithandan “Yoga & Körperarbeit” / miss ShantiPanthi: Positive: QualityProfessional and very friendly gym in Berlin. I was welcomed warmly (as a female "lightweight" beginner) to join the BJJ classes with professor Gabriel Rainho. Although many people on the mats, the atmosphere was always friendly and professional. I'm looking forward to re-join on my next visit.

Emiliano il serpe: Best gym in Berlin! Been training here for almost 4 years and never regretted once ;)

Chrissie: The BEST Gym for training BJJ!!! I started there as a fresh BJJ white belt in 2015 and they have been nothing but supportive along my journey through BJJ. I'd watched the trainers from all martial arts codes support their students and sculpt them into fierce athletes. It's amazing to see such a transformation! Even in myself, though I am not committed as most members, I saw fantastic results. I absolutely LOVE the support given from everyone at Spitfire whether they are a trainer or any level athlete or member! PLUS, you can meet anyone and speak any language from across the globe. This is such an amazing multi-cultural hub! So cool to see all different types of people together and share their culture and talents with one another. If you are interested in Martial Arts, I 100% totally recommend!

Timo Rößner: Best gym in town. Period. I've seen at least half a dozen of mma / kickboxing / brazilian jiu jutsu gyms in Berlin but this one is by far the best. Instructors are mostly ego-free (something quite rare), people very nice, international and the classes are excellent. Easy to make friends, have a good time and learn something. The BJJ team is also very active, going to tournaments all the time and making it easy for you to join. I have trained here for 1,5 years now and literally the worst thing i have to say is that sometimes it's a bit too packed. But I'd take that over a half-empty gym any day.

Sergio De Lima: If you’re seeking either health improvement, learn how to defend yourself or even have a better social life that’s the exact place to be, very professional and friendly staff with a bunch of options for you or your family to learn martial arts in any area with great professional martial artists, the gym is complete with everything that you need and absolutely nice and clean !

Quang Ong: Great nogi class. Very good, friendly and knowledge coach and staff, high level training partners.

M N: Critical: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueBelow average gym with hygiene issues and terrible management. Despite their copy paste review response to "contact them directly" multiple attmepts to do so were ignored.

amr wahman: This place is very wonderful, I advise all friends to participate in this beautiful edifice and have technical expertise and the work of champions running in MMA tournaments around the world

Henry Gelhart: Daryl is a fantastic instructor, offering trilingual classes in German, English and Spanish! Group classes are usually limited to a small amount of students, making private and precise exercise possible. My wife and I both signed up after the first class!

Moritz Wessendorff: The best workout. Also for beginners. Very nice atmosphere. Daryl takes a lot of time for each student. Learning curve enormous. Fitness curve too!

Fatlum Prekadini: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality

Marvin Joseph Schwarz: Daryl is a great guy - a trial session is worth it!

Kimura Karate School Berlin Charlottenburg: what do users think?

Michael Lederer: All three of our children have attended this school for years. We cannot recommend it highly enough. They teach the children karate, but more than that, a wonderful combination of discipline, respect for self and others, kindness. It feels like a family. Our oldest son, 12, just attended the one week karate summer camp. He had so much fun, and we are so grateful he had that chance. Five stars!
Response: Thank you very much , Michael!

Bobbypsycho: I have trained in this school with the head coach for about 15 years and highly recommend him and this karate school. The training is demanding and the effectiveness and efficiency of the techniques are always in the foreground. I experienced the headmaster as a motivated, patient, experienced and technically very adept trainer. If you are interested in learning karate seriously, you should definitely try it out here. It should be remembered that it is a very complex sport and martial art that needs to be learned with a lot of patience and care. So bring a lot of good will, motivation and perseverance!
Response: Thank you Boris! What are you doing?

Linda Gavgaeva: Excellent karate school with very experienced instructors. You learn quickly and have a lot of fun doing it. I've been a member for years and I've grown very fond of the team. Can only recommend everyone to try it out.

Tony Müller: My fifteen (15) years in this karate school in a very short time. With his many years of experience and extensive specialist knowledge, the main trainer has an incredible range of skills. This makes him always look very confident and convincing, on and next to the mat, and gives you the feeling of being in safe hands. He is in regular contact with the international scene and is always up to date when news and updates appear. The coach is not only very popular in Germany, he has also earned a lot of respect and recognition worldwide for his training style, which is almost incomparable in this country. Personally, I couldn't think of a better person as a trainer, as I was treated with respect and communication on an equal footing from the start. Over the years the other students and the coach became like family to me, you could always and always rely on each other. Without these factors, I would not have stayed on the ball over this period. Sensei Chao has been training successfully for decades and has an extremely strong team of trainers at his side. Internationally experienced, friendly and extremely motivated young people who want to transfer their knowledge to the new generation. I was lucky enough to work out and sweat with these people and I am incredibly grateful for the knowledge that has been imparted to me to this day. And whoever brings a bit of self-irony will always have a good time and laugh a lot. I can only advise everyone to stop by and get an idea for themselves, as I can only express a small part of my enthusiasm with words. Thanks for reading and have fun exercising.

Georg L.: Update below. My three years in this karate school in very short: The main instructor has a 5th Dan and specialist knowledge is available. He is a person who likes to hear himself talk and his behavior towards his students is at times infantile, disrespectful, condescending and transgressive. He often tries to impose his ideologies (e.g. politics) on others. Most of them do not take him seriously and therefore overlook the weaknesses of his personality. The main trainer seems to have to compensate a lot in my opinion, which results in disturbances that are extremely questionable. In his school there are other instructors who report to him. Some are good or very good. One, on the other hand, is unfortunately at the level of the main instructor and is also quite narrow-minded. Both seem to have a strong power frenzy. In short, the horizon of these two people is their ego. (Well, the smallest lights want to shine brightest) All of his trainers are much younger than him and now and then they convey wrong knowledge, e.g. gets noticed during the exams. The lessons for beginners are varied but are very often disturbed by the higher graduates. The main instructor's main focus is on the higher graduates. According to his contract, hours that are not worked will be made up for due to tournaments or courses. I have never made up for hours in my time there! Lessons take place in the way that suits them. The main trainer likes to talk about respect and that you should stand by your mistakes. Unfortunately, these are just empty words from him. The positive thing for me there was that I got to know a lot of great people and that I had a lot of fun with the training thanks to these friends. Of course there is a lot more to report and even if I wouldn't recommend this school, I don't advise against it. After all, everyone can get their own picture of the school and the people. Therefore use trial training and decide for yourself. …Good luck with it… Update 09/14/2020 Since I emailed the main instructor my criticism in advance (or even afterwards), many positive reviews have been written here (a rogue if you think bad things). Just a brief explanation: The main instructor did not contradict my criticism on any point and also assured me that he is not angry about my criticism. I also told him that I have no problem taking something back if it is wrong. I am amazed or amazed at how much fear my criticism caused. (If students had told me that they agree with me or there are still students who agree with me, they would never make it public, understandably.) Be that as it may, I would like to point out again (actually meant seriously) to use the trial training to get a little insight into this school. At the moment everything should be very euphoric there :)

Josephine: I can fully recommend the karate school and advise everyone to stop by. Use the trial training session to let yourself be inspired by a very informative and fun training session!

Sasuke Uchiha: Live there 👌 can recommend the karate school
Response: Thanks Eric

Tobias Liczbinski: The karate school is good
Response: Many Thanks

Udo Woidacki: Nice dojo, top instructors
Response: Many Thanks

Go Og: A good karate school 👍

Hardstyle Martial Arts e.V. | Kampfsport, Selbstverteidigung, Kickboxen: what do users think?

Palstek: Great training, great atmosphere - a perfect kickboxing school. I've been looking for a trainer for a long time who offers well thought-out and challenging training. I finally found what I was looking for at Marco. Exhausting, sweaty and a lot of fun!

Aurelia Ottemann: Have fun, great workout. Marco and Arthur are proven experts in the field of pointfighting, light contact and forms and complement kickboxing with highly effective athletic training. If you want to be fast and agile, this is the place for you. I've been training at HMA for about 2 years and I feel like I'm in good hands, both athletically and personally. The atmosphere is open and relaxed, the training is goal-oriented and always up to date, leaving room for individuality. New sports science findings are consistently implemented here and I have learned a remarkable amount here despite a long period of previous experience in martial arts. Thanks! :)

Anatoli Termer: The HMA training is always varied and, in addition to technique and endurance, also combines elements of self-defence. There is something for women AND men and all age groups! It's a great way to get acquainted with martial arts and improve your individual skills. Both Marco and the experienced fighters always help and give tips! Highly Recommended!
Response: Thank you dear Anatoli!

Gerlinde Scholz: If you are looking for very good kickboxing training (pointfighting) as well as karate kata training (with and without weapons), you have come to the right place. Marco Pultke is a very patient, dedicated and motivating trainer who is second to none. Everyone is encouraged and challenged. After all, I'm already 50 and simply feel "at home here". There is a great togetherness! And where else in Berlin can you learn from a national coach? So my tip: Just drop by, do 2 free trial lessons and then decide for yourself in a neutral way. You will definitely not regret it. The transport connection is also super central, both by car and by public transport. Never give up your dreams! It's never too late to start!!! Gerdy

Kolito 1909: Super training for old and young, experienced and inexperienced. It's not about beating up on each other, it's about learning the techniques of the sport with fun but also with the necessary determination. If you need something to balance your everyday life, you've come to the right place.

J. G.: Marco's training is really great! I even come from Kiel to Berlin once a month to take part in the training because I can't find anything comparable here. A balanced mixture of technique, endurance, exhaustion, fun and good (hip-hop) music with nice people and a well-maintained practice room. We recommend!

Kev Santa: If you are looking for a professional martial arts course in Berlin, you will find the ideal place to go with Hardstyle Martial Arts. An optimal mix of theory and practice, combined with lots of fun. Here you sweat and work hard, but always with regard to your personal skills, which are expanded with every training session. Absolutely great! My advice to all interested parties is: Join the family!

Peggy Richter: Super great sweaty training. If you want to learn something, this is the place for you. Experiences are conveyed and it is a friendly atmosphere where children, teenagers and adults can feel comfortable.

mareile morawietz: Top training for kids: the right mix of games, fun and training content. The trainer responds well to the different technical levels and characters of the children.

Marc R.: Perfect training for everyone from 6 years! Great trainer, explains clearly and calmly, yet decisively. Best combo for martial arts training!

Ringside Gym - Muay Thai / MMA / BJJ / BOXEN / ESKRIMA: what do users think?

Yushu Soon: The gym offers a friendly and motivating training atmosphere - you can feel how the trainers do their best to give attention to each person in the class. Great timetable and good value too.

Tanja Keller: Great Gym! I had the chance to train there for 3 weeks while I was in Berlin and had such a great time. Coaches and teammate were brilliant!

Pat Mc Kenna: Great gym! Nice mix of classes at different times. The staff are open to feedback and always looking to improve the place. Would recommend.

Elijaih Blue: Great gym that is easy to find near Ostkreuz. The trainings are very good and majority of trainers teach in German or English so there is no problem for visitors to participate in the classes.

paolo abriola: Every time I’m in Berlin I go train at Ring side gym. People are really nice and the instructors are super prepared. If you are in Berlin don’t miss the chance to train with the best !

Augustine St. Louis: Wonderful place to train. Got great trainers and also nice people(with skills) .

Fang Han: My son and I are both registed by the BJJ training of Ringside. Both BJJ trainers Elijaih and Gabriel are amazing teachers, they are very patient and encouraging, they can explain the movements very clearly and always give effort of the personal empowerment of each student.

EBP: If the Coaches of the Gym start rating their own gym and calling it good and clean, you already know what´s wrong.

Vojtěch Jasný: Looks like a really nice place if you are into martial arts. I recommend the Kettlebell Club Berlin which has trainings in the same space.

Anne Becker: Go there for a free trial and see if you like it. They offer different "classes" like boxing, thai boxing, mma and open gym.

Taekwondo-Institut Berlin: what do users think?

Eva Eickelpasch: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueVery nice trainers, good training, amazing experience and clean trainign rooms over all a great studio

saeeda sadat: Here we can receive our goal🤞💪🥋

oren meiner: Best martial arts school in Germany! Super nice rooms, well aired and sparkling clean, well lit and stylish design. But the best of all is the master and the teachers, from children to seniors, they teach with precision and mindfulness, with the most important factor - having fun while training. Actually, 10 stars belong here. Am thrilled!
Response: Thank you very much for your review. We try to get better every day and offer our members the best possible service!

Nikolaus Roettger: Full marks from me. Top school with a very good and very nice team of coaches. Thanks to you, I rediscovered Taekwondo two years ago after a long break.

Sparkeling Soda: I started Taekwondo when I was over 30 :) and it's still the ideal sport for me. I'm improving my physical condition, staying flexible and learning to defend myself. It still fascinates me that I learn something new every lesson, even though I've been at it for a long time now. I was also able to develop wonderful friendships in this dojang, which are very important to me. My conclusion: Taekwondo Institute Berlin: simply mega!

R B: As a beginner, I had arranged a trial lesson there. When making an appointment (online), there was even the possibility to ask questions via the chat function. In this context, I was advised to be there 15 minutes before the training session, so that everything could be explained and shown to me a bit. No sooner said than done....so I was there 20 minutes before. The coach was still busy with the kids group. In between, I was presented with the declaration of consent for the trial training session. That's it... Unfortunately, the preliminary talk did not take place. There you could have found out that I was not active in sports for a long time and therefore have a manageable condition. When I started as a beginner, I was (apart from one woman with a black belt) at the age of 48 the oldest and probably the least athletic student who tried to keep up with the warm-up exercises and follow-up exercises to the best of my ability. After 10 minutes I was all set and out of breath but I tried by watching the man in front; to find connection somehow with the next man and the trainer. The trainer corrected my misaligned hands and feet 2-3 times, but otherwise I was hopelessly overwhelmed. In between we sat in the corner and watched the “black belts” doing the special exercises. Then jump back up and keep going. After the training, there was only a short conversation, since the trainer was already on his way to the "sparring" unit. The studio is okay. The changing room was a bit small (especially when there are still excited kids jumping around there and throwing their things around 😁). Since ITF training is used here, this was probably the wrong approach in my case. True to the motto...."Are they too strong...are you too weak". I had thought/hoped that as an absolute beginner and newcomer to martial arts you would be introduced a little more cautiously. In the meantime I have discovered the “traditional” Taekwondo for myself, which approach suits me and my abilities better.

Physiotherapie Mey: This Corona story made everything around it sad, but Franzi and David are doing great, especially with my nervous son. Have handled him with patience, thank you

jemand tolles: Great training and great trainers! Even during Corona! Absolutely nothing to complain about!

Masood Yaqobi: very nice

MMA Berlin - Mixed Martial Arts: what do users think?

Azuron Burrito: I've been working out here for almost 2 years - great coaches and courses.
Response: Thank you! : )

Bahram Elham: Cool

Scruffy Rodriguez: Great gym, friendly to newcomers and with down to earth people
Response: Thank you! : )

Paris Kontopyrgos: bad me no like

Ashkan Rezaei: Money oriented , unfriendly and partly racist crowd and bad train This gym has only one positive point, namely trainer Robert, who is friendly and professional. You can forget other trainers. There are much better providers in Berlin

Jacob Stille: Caution subscription trap! After 12+2 months, I properly submitted the notice of termination, then I was informed that the contract would have been automatically extended by the duration of the term. In my case 12 months. When I then pointed out that I had paid all the agreed contributions (even 2 more) and that I could no longer come for health reasons, I was offered the opportunity to pause the extended contract by submitting a certificate. My explicit instruction not to debit any more contributions was initially not answered and then with the words "okay, then I will no longer debit" - as if this were a courtesy. It's not this! Regardless of the contract, direct debit mandates can be withdrawn at any time. With regard to the always morally reprehensible tactic of tacit contract extensions, this has been officially illegal by the BGH since March of this year! Consumer contracts can be terminated monthly after the end of the term, regardless of general terms and conditions, etc. It's a pity to have to end the number with such a "fight (r)ampf"! Training good, unfortunately no showers...

Hayrettin Kanbur: I trained here for many years and it was always a great experience with super nice people and teachers. Go do a rehearsal, we'll see..have fun.maybe I'll start again at the age of 49 :)

Pierre Bernhard: I've been with MMA Berlin for almost 2 years. The studio is very easy to reach by public transport (approx. 5-8 minutes from S-Bahn station Julius-Leber-Brücke and U-Bahn station Kleispark). There is a wide range of different training sessions, at all possible times. The length of the workouts is just right. The trainers take the time to answer questions/feedback and ensure correct execution. You feel very welcome and the members help and support each other. During sparring and ground fighting (BJJ), consideration is given to one another. I feel very comfortable here and can heartily recommend it to everyone! The corona rules are strict but necessary. Better be Safe than Sorry. Kudos to Wolf, Daisuke and Robert for the great training sessions. Regards Pierre

A Stolze: cutthroat! Toggle contracts and dispassionate trainers. There are 1000 better gyms in Berlin Fenriz in Kreuzberg or Spitfire in Schöneberg.

Qaiser Abbasi: Trainees and trainers are all respectful and really fun to train there!

Shihonkin Dojo e.V.: what do users think?

Filippos Kalamidas: Beginner or advanced, if you are looking for kick boxing, this is the place. The trainers are always eager to help and share their knowledge and the people attending are very friendly and respectful. Great experience altogether!
Response: Dear Filippos, thank you for your awesome rating! We're glad to have you at our dojo to be part of the kickboxing team! See you soon :)

Bar Gonen: Shihonkin Dojo is a wonderful place for beginners and experts as well. The classes are very nice and accessible. Also good for learning self defense. I recommend everyone to come and join!
Response: Thank you for your rating! I'm happy you like our Dojo and the way old okinawan karate is taught here! I'm glad to count you to my students! Best!

Nina: My son and daughter have been going to Dominik's karate for a few weeks now and are really enthusiastic every time. They come back balanced and with beaming faces. I myself watched the first training session and was impressed by the collaborative, respectful atmosphere in the group. The more advanced children accepted the “newcomers” in a completely open and supportive manner, everyone treats each other with care, and after the first few hours I had the feeling that my children also fully belonged in this small “community”. Dominik has a very pleasant, calm and appreciative way of dealing with the children. We are happy about this discovery!

Patrick Herbke: Our son goes here for children's karate. We took part in the trial training sessions with him. At first we had doubts whether karate was the right choice as a sport. But right from the first training session, we were impressed by the very relaxed, calm and very professional atmosphere. On the one hand, this is thanks to the trainer Dominik, but it is also lived by the other children. We were impressed and convinced by how sensitively the advanced students dealt with the beginners. You can see that it's not just sport, but also a way of life. Any reservation that this could be a "rulers' group" is completely unfounded. The coach makes sure that it stays that way. We can only recommend. Great work, thanks!

Felix Kuchinka: There are many positive things that can be said about this dojo. First of all, there is Sensei Dominik, who welcomes everyone who is interested in martial arts with open arms and does not reject anyone. This is also reflected in the members. You are immediately accepted and integrated into the dojo family, no matter where you come from, how old you are, what you look like or anything else. Prejudices just don't exist. The training is also of excellent quality. The training in Okinawa Kempo Karate is versatile, demanding, sweaty, but at the same time exciting, fun and fulfilling. Sensei Dominik responds to everyone individually, promotes existing strengths, helps to overcome one's own weaknesses and strengthens one's own self-confidence to an incredibly high degree. I can absolutely recommend the Shihonkin Dojo to anyone who is interested in (especially traditional) martial arts. Nobody will regret their decision
Response: Thank you Felix. I'm glad you like it!

Enrico Müller: My daughter has been doing children's karate for a few weeks and is absolutely thrilled. She is there with full vigor and does not want to miss any training. Dominik is a great trainer who caters to the needs of the little ones. I do fitness fighting myself, which I enjoy a lot, so I don't really have to push myself to go to training. It's very demanding and will get you in shape. Depending on the course, FF is led by Dominik or Sasha, which provides variety as both contribute their own style. I highly recommend it!!!
Response: Thank you so much Enrico!

Ph ma: I just love this dojo! The training is fun, but at the same time demanding and you learn really effective techniques. But the biggest plus is probably the master Dominik, who supports each student individually and takes time for everyone. He is very inspirational to me! I am incredibly happy to have chosen this martial arts school, everyone is warmly welcomed here and I enjoy every training session. The other offers such as kickboxing are also highly recommended and a good addition. Thanks Dominic! :)
Response: Hi, thanks for the great review! I am very pleased that you like it with us! I do my absolute best to make everyone feel at home with us and learn a lot!

Nathalie Weiden: Very good training also (but not only!) For children. Dominik is a committed master who communicates his enthusiasm for martial arts through his own example. Our children love to go to training and are already making good progress!

Ate Schell: Dominik really knows how to inspire and has a huge amount of knowledge. Dominik is the first teacher that our son recognizes and really respects from the bottom of his heart. He relies on his competence and feels protected, seen and encouraged in Dominik's decisions. Every time he comes out of the dojo, he seems more mature and collected, besides all the knowledge that he reports with fascination. He really enjoys training and is more and more willing to invest more energy.
Response: Thank you dear Ate! I am very happy to read this! I am happy to know your son is among my students and I am very proud of his constant development!

J. Moscardini: Great dojo in which both children train. The Sensei really responds to everyone according to their individual needs and is always an attentive contact person. The prices are more than fair. In lockdown he made every effort to motivate everyone and created professional and very high-quality online offers. Without this mental coaching we would have survived the time worse. Thanks for that!!! The dojo is now an integral part of our lives.
