Tetiana Drevytska: It is a pity that I did not read the reviews about this clinic and personally about Dr. Bilal Chamat before my visit. I would save time and nerves for myself and my son. I arranged an appointment for my son for an initial examination and vision test through the Doctorlib application. The application asked me the age of the child, he is 16 years old. When we arrived at the appointment, at first we were kept outside the door of the clinic, because they found out if the teenager would be accepted. After 15 minutes, we were still allowed into the clinic. We started filling out a questionnaire, we have private insurance, drawn up through my work. The administrator began to ask for the original documents with registration of residence and passport. Despite the fact that all the information is on the chip of the insurance card and this is not the first time we have come to see doctors, these documents were needed for the first time and this was not written down as a requirement anywhere. After about 10 minutes, a doctor (Bilal Chamat) comes in from the office and says: "I will not examine the patient at all." This happens with his cries and discontent. The administrator starts telling me that our acquaintance started badly, so you need to look for another doctor. When I asked why the obligation to have original documents with you is not written anywhere and why there is not enough information on the insurance chip card, I was told in a very loud voice "if you are so smart, why don't you treat yourself?". I regard the behavior of the attendants of the clinic and Dr. Bilal Chamat as discrimination against visitors from Ukraine! I don't recommend this clinic to anyone.

Kourosh Moazami: I am a patient who respected the doctor for his work. The clinic however had a really awful reputation,, mostly thanks to business practices. the doctor has put together a high tech office and they equipment looses value, consequently he makes you pay for his amortization, whether you ned it or not. There is never someone answering your call and your calls are never returned. Up to this point I will give the clinic 4/5 star only because the doctor is friendly and more importantly competent. At my last visit I encounter an assistant and receptionist, thinking things were improved in the admin department. Little did I know that the new crew were operating more like prison guards than members of the staff of a doctor that charges you 650 euros for a checkup after running you through every machine he has acquired. The new crew treated with with arrogance and disdain that I had not encountered outside of the worst of the society who occupy immigration offices and border police. This is all in the backdrop me loosing my eyesight again and desperately needed to see the doctor before heading to my assignment in South America. I can barely see know as my eyesight is deteriorating constantly. Still I would not bear to suffer the indignity of dealing with the new staff. Hopefully I can find a more humane clinic in Colombia tomorrow. The words I am writing now are just a blur fizzed by the autocorrect. Congratulations doctor, you were only hated by your publicly insured patient, not your new staff, true to the form, are chasing away your private patients. Someone will have to pay for your expensive equipments, and that will not be your insolent employees. Please reconsider their impact on your practice.

Kathleen King: Do not go to this man! I had laser surgery in Italy and had to get my eyes checked four weeks later. So I called this clinic when I got to Germany. When I asked how much it was going to be just for a check-up, they "couldn't tell me because they didn't know what they'd have to do". It's a check-up! Then they said that I'd have to put down a 300 Euro deposit when I came in but then they would refund me say, 200 if it cost 100. I should have said no but I had to get them checked as I'd be traveling again soon. So I went in I realized I had forgotten to stop at an ATM and when I said that he said "GO!" and you could tell he was very concerned about the money. So I went out to get the money and I should have gone home!. When I came back they took the money and he performed his "tests" on me. He spent little time doing what he was supposed to and more time talking about his interests, etc. He did tell me about the retina, etc., but I didn't need to hear all of that again. The Dr. who did the surgery had already talked to me. However, the longer he talked, the more time it seemed he was spending with me. When he was done I went out to the front desk and was handed a bill for 305 EUROS!!! Excuse me!! That was not worth 100!! The wonderful - CARING - Dr. in Italy did the first check-up AND surgery AND the one-week check-up for 126 EUROS!! This man scammed me and I feel like a fool. DO NOT GO THERE!! He truly is a con-artist and should be reported! As a matter of fact, I will be doing so. My travel insurance may not reimburse me for this because the price was ridiculously high. If so, he will be hearing from me and I'll make sure the word gets out about him!

Lola Tseytlin: Will never let this doctor to touch my eyes, I by mistake book a different Termin and he was crazy and I had to run a way from there. Just wanted to check my opinion with operation and it was horrible

Lovetta Kamara: a very bad experience with this clinic, i went with my mum for her cataract surgery and i paid the full amount before the surgery, on the day for the surgery after 5 hours i was told told the surgery wasn't successful as my mum eyes are critical. i was dismissed very rudely and my money wasn't refund and my mum was traumatised for a week. this clinic is disgusting , i was so so disappointed.

I am going to make a letter also to the Notional Medical Council so they can do the necessary against this psychopathic person.

Jan Kohlbecker: Had a bad injury - so Kristin Tetz and Isaak Fischinger managed to fix my problem in the "blink of an eye" ;) i can highly recommend Augentagesklinik Spreebogen!

Florentine Domroes: The consultation about the laser was very detailed and also honest, because in contrast to other clinics, I was also informed about the risks and especially the risks in my case. Instead of wanting to make an appointment straight away, we made a check-up appointment six months later. At my request, the preliminary examination was then carried out and there I was not pushed into anything either and the decision to have the laser was entirely up to me. Now the surgery was very successful and I can see again! I have no complaints and the many follow-up appointments with short waiting times in the practice are wonderful. I can only recommend the Eye Day Clinic on the Spreebogen with Prof. Dok Tetz and his excellent and friendly optometrists.

Carl-Christian Gehl (CharacterCarl): I came here to fix my severe farsightedness (+5.75, +2.75 astigmatism) that I've always had. During the preliminary examination, lens implants (Artisan) were recommended to me, since LASIK with my strength would only be possible with a special procedure and would be very stressful. Also, implants don't wear off over time, unlike LASIK (unless the strength changes. But that's always a possibility). Since I was a bit afraid of the operation at first and had never seriously tried other options, such as contact lenses, apart from glasses, I decided to continue with it and to keep the possibility of an operation open . That wasn't a problem. Soft contact lenses were ordered, which I also had fitted there, and a specialist institute for hard contact lenses was also recommended to me. After trying both options for a few months and finding them less than ideal, I decided to go ahead with the surgery. Unfortunately, on the day of the surgery for the first eye, I had a panic attack. However, this fear turned out to be unfounded, since the actual surgery really wasn't that bad. The practice team was very understanding and took good care of me. Follow-up checks were carried out over the following weeks/months. I still had to treat my eyes with drops for a while and get used to the new vision, but everything is fine now. I've had the implants for 9 months now and the vision is great (120% vision). Except for slight halos around lights in the dark, nothing to complain about (but I was also informed about this during the preliminary examination). I am very happy that I decided to have surgery at this practice.

Dada Ernst: A very exceptional doctor. After a long search (approx. 18 months) with all well-known and less well-known specialists working in Berlin and the surrounding area, a doctor who is really interested in the well-being of the patient - especially scientifically - who does not primarily pursue business interests (which - so I think maybe faulty impression - the absolute exception is). Here there is no assembly line work, but a completely individually tailored and no time-limited consultation. As part of the treatment, all - in fact all - wishes of the patient are individually addressed. Advice and surgery are also carried out personally by Prof. Tetz. The (first) operation has already been completely successful and completed. I can see, work and pursue extraordinary hobbies without glasses and reading glasses again! Thank you so far, also for the quality of life gained and keep it up. Absolute recommendation!

Stefan Ringers: I had an initial appointment at the clinic, originally for a consultation for a lens operation. However, my first positive impression was spoiled very quickly. The reception staff are definitely not a figurehead for this clinic. It is not worth the effort to go into the many shortcomings, it is a pity that the employer is not able to recognize these shortcomings. A second visit to this clinic is out of the question for me.

Berk Tekin: An appointment was made on the phone with Pr. Dr. agreed, which is why I had to wait a long time for this appointment. However, only the assistant came that day with the reason that the Pr. Dr. have no time. I was so looking forward to it and was sent home disappointed. Also long waiting times.

This comment is written with a 6-week review of a bad operation on my right eye (-3.5) in a first clinic and the comparison with the Spreebogen Clinic in Moabit, which performed the operation on my left eye (-6 ,5) performed; - Personalized patient care by an optometrist who ensures a continuous human connection (also very accessible via email) from the first day of measurement to the follow-up appointments, great responsiveness, pedagogy and patience in answering all questions. I was able to see my surgeon Prof. Tetz several times, he also took enough time to answer my questions professionally, transparently and precisely in the preliminary and follow-up discussions. - Excellent time management, accurate meeting of appointments (never spent more than 15 minutes in the waiting room) - During the operation: great serenity, the gestures were explained and practiced several times, which allows the patient to be active and find his way during the operation. - Extensive and detailed medical treatment (6 weeks) to avoid unnecessary pain - Excellent technique that enabled me to have full vision again the very next day which is not the case in all clinics (my right eye operated on with another FEMTO device at another clinic suffered from 2 months an overcorrection of 1-1.75). In this respect, the technology keeps its promises: little pain or side effects after the operation, normal life can be resumed the very next day (reading, working). I 100% recommend an operation at the Spreebogen Clinic, which gave me a new life.

Jana Cavojska: Very short waiting times thanks to good planning - if you have an appointment, you can get there after half an hour at the latest, not after several hours like in many Berlin practices. Here, for the first time, I experienced that the disadvantages of my eye drops were explained to me and that I was left to decide whether I could better live with the disadvantages of the eye drops or the disadvantages of not taking them.

Sheldon Drake: friendly nurses, competent if cold doctors, but the way everything is set up, you can lose your whole day. get a test, wait 20 min. for doctor. go for photos, come back and wait an hour to speak to doctor, you're in the back of the line now. New test? ok, now wait for your doctor, except they are in surgery for the next two hours but nobody tells you. I was there 6 hours today, starting at 7.30am. For a follow-up test that it took 4 emails to get a reply to schedule. Nothing against the doctors. I saw them running back and forth up and down the hallways crowded with sunken people waiting for care. Looks to me like they need about 50% more doctors, but I guess that doesn't make the stockholders happy. Also, seems to me if you regularly have to dilate the eyes of people who might not be expecting it and therefore didn't bring sunglasses, maybe some little cheapo paper ones so they can make it to the subway? This is what patient-centered care would have. If you must go, bring lunch and a cushion, and cancel the rest of your day. Take the train.

Emilio Villegas: After 5 appointments with my eye doctor and no improvement he decided to send me to the Charite for further analysis because he didnt have the proper equipment. He didnt give me the transfer letter because it was clearly an emergency. After a very early arrival I was still dismissed because apparently it didnt look bad enough for the doctors (my eye was swollen and half closed). What good is it to get an appointment in 6 months if my emergency is now!? A terrible experience which was even worse considering I needed to travel for almost an hour to even get there.

Lotta Bauer: I have now been treated on site for the 5th time. Despite my very long journey, I am dependent on this clinic and the specialist. But the waiting times really suck! You really can't do that to anyone. Waiting longer than 6 hours every time is not possible. Very competent medical staff but absolutely unorganized. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Tobias: Shameful. Every visit is an impertinence. Here the fantasy of a supposedly prestigious Charité meets miserable reality. The clinic is shockingly understaffed, and permanently understaffed. The doctors only blow in every now and then when they're not operating somewhere. For our annual check-up, we have to wait 5 to 6 hours each time, despite the appointment being given six months in advance. The otherwise very dreary, completely undecorated corridors and waiting rooms are overcrowded with waiting patients. Strangely chaotic, being sent to random door numbers without being called, only to be sent to the next door again. To make matters worse, everything seems run down and the examination/treatment equipment makes an outdated impression. Why?

I. Bwi: I often have an eye infection and am always afraid to go to the eye clinic at the Charité. Every time I get a panic attack because of the very, very long waiting times in the ambulance. All patients spend around 8 hours in the outpatient clinic and that affects the psyche a lot.

detta blum: I've just been back for a few days for an exam. Long story short, I can confirm the time management issues. The admission to the ward was actually a very bumpy and lengthy procedure, but it was probably due to the widespread absence of workers due to the corona virus. The nursing staff was very friendly and competent. The crucial point, however, the medical examination, is to be praised with the highest tones. Real SPECIALISTS are at work there and constantly give me the feeling that I am dealing intensively with my problems and finding a solution to them. Very nice and above all reassuring that such doctors exist; far away from exclusively profit-oriented, established "doctors" who read the Hippocratic Oath every morning as entertaining, defecation-promoting reading on the locus. Basically highly recommended.

Manuela Bothe: Modern clinic that also has to struggle with a lack of staff and still tries to give everything. It would be better if the kiosk was also open on Saturdays and Sundays or if there was also a patient and guest check-in. The food and coffee could be improved. Those who are on the upper floors can enjoy a beautiful view over Berlin 😃😃😃

Geoffrey Khorn: TL;DR - I had femto lasik eye surgery here a few days ago, late September 2021. Correction was for -4.5D and slight astigmatism. The operation went smoothly and I can see perfectly the same night of the operation, but still in recovery. The staff and doctor were all professional, friendly and accommodating to me as an English-speaker. The facility was clean, modern, and stylish. Since this is during the covid pandemic, everyone including myself wore medical masks the entire time. The price was on the higher end at 3900EUR compared to other locations, but for the friendly and professional service and the results, I can say it's well worth it. For anyone in Berlin shopping around for a place for laser eye surgery, I highly recommend EuroEyes in Sony Center. For more details of my experience, read further. It's important I share this in length simply because there aren't many reviews online for lasik surgery in Berlin. -Consultation visit- In my first visit for consultation, the staff and doctor were very friendly and happy to help me in english. I came fully prepared with information of my own research and knew I wanted the femto lasik with wavefront technology. The consulting doctor was very quick and thorough with the assessment. He used a few measuring tools to measure the thickness of my cornea and also my eye prescription strength. He recommended me the ReLex Smile operation. Since that method does not offer the personalized laser correction via wavefront technology, I kindly wished to move forward with femto lasik with wavefront instead. I was able to book ALL of the appointments in advance: pre-exam, operation day, and follow ups. -Pre-examination visit- On my second visit, a technician helped measure my eyes. We did the cornea thickness and prescription measurements again. In addition, we did a wavefront scan. The technician seemed to have a difficult time operating the machines and took longer than expected. Overall, she was very informative and helpful. She gave me some items for recovery such has sun shades, eye guards and tape to wear when sleeping after the surgery. The doctor that did a thorough medical exam was so kind and friendly. Her english was excellent and I felt very confident in her examination. My eyes were dilated for the exam and we made a full check for disease or any concerns -- none found, of course. -Operation day- On the day of the operation, there was a male technician that performed all the measurements for my eye: cornea scan, eye prescription scan, wavefront scan. He was well experienced and professional. I can tell he knew how to operate these machines based on how efficient he was (stark contrast to the technician the my pre-exam). He gave me a tablet to help came my nerves. On to the operation, the surgical nurses and Dr. Inken Lamcke was very kind and professional. The operating facility was extremely clean. The femto laser to create the flap was one room -- this step took what felt like seconds. Then I was walked into the second room where the laser eye correct was done -- this too felt like seconds. And then I was done. -1st follow up- This was a quick follow up the day after the surgery. The surgical nurse from the operation day examined me and noted that my recovery is going exceptionally well.

antonella tezza: I did. an ICL a Month ago. I was -8 and -8.5 and had an Astigmatism -1.5 in one eye. Now I see perfectly. The doctors are nice, they do some confusion with the appointments, but overall I would definitely suggest and recommend this place

Emmy Amro: Wouldn't recommend to go here if your German is not perfect. I tried in my best German but the receptionist kept cutting me off very unfriendly. Then I tried explaining that my partner was outside and if I could bring him in (because of Corona you have to go in alone), because he is German and could explain better. She didn't even let me explain, cut me off and continued to berate me. She made me feel really ashamed, like a kid who is told to stand in the corner for doing something bad. In front of a full room of people. Aside from that I am disappointed with the bad results after my surgery and the fact that I had to go to Hamburg on own costs twice for surgeries because they didn't have the right equipment in Berlin. I payed much more than I anticipated and my eyes are really bad, much worse than when I used contacts

Aaron Chamberlain: Had my femto-Lasik here. Staff were friendly, kind and discussed all the parts of the procedure with me. A month on from the procedure my vision is perfect and I am recovering well.

Mrs Inkognito: I was there for a consultation, the email said it would take about 1 hour. In fact, it wasn't more than 25 minutes without waiting. Two eye exams were done, then I had to wait again. The conversation took place very routinely, I was introduced to the more expensive version, but not explained why the cheaper version might not work well. Then they searched for appointments directly in the PC before I could even ask a question. I could cancel the appointment if I changed my mind. That didn't strike me as serious. The main thing is to make an appointment, maybe there will be a bonus for the employee. I didn't have the feeling that they took the time for me and my questions. Too bad. I then paid €5.60 for the parking garage for almost 70 minutes, a discount for the visit would be desirable.

Berlin Gal: Had to go in for an emergency appointment on a Friday without being a patient at this practice before. Seen Dr Schneider straight away, and got a prescription to fix my eye issue. Very friendly staff! Been amazed by the kindness they’ve shown to elderly patients in the waiting room. Thanks!

H Frances: Went in without appointment for an emergency case. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Got to see the doctor within 30 mins and reinsured it was not a serious problem. The drops calms my vampire red eyes quite efficiently. Very glad I found this clinic. Will recommend to others!

Matt Hallmann: After I got my eyes measured at a optician (twice), my optician found that one eye had two different results that were quite far apart. My optician recommended to go to an eye doctor, because of the better equipment and to see if there might be something wrong with eye pressure, etc. I tried to make an appointment but this doctor refused me. I was told to find another optician. That seems very unprofessional and bad to me. Feeling disappointed.

Lukas Schlauz: I've been suffering from cataracts for a year, but this ophthalmologist was able to help me tremendously and there were no complications. In general, I have to say that I was treated very nicely and friendly and the practice looks very good (at least from what I saw :D). I can recommend it to everyone!

Nora Rever: I've been there twice, once with an appointment and once as an emergency. I have always been treated very nicely. Scheduling appointments is very easy. Everything was explained to me very competently. When I had to go to the open consultation hours for an emergency, I stood in front of the door half an hour before it opened and it was my turn very quickly. The doctor explains everything in a calm and pleasant way. The equipment looks high quality and the practice seemed extremely clean to me. I can therefore only recommend this practice and would go there again and again.

inge duiker: I am not feeling very confident about this clinic anymore. I went for a free consultation in September, they then told me my cornea is too thin for LASIK. This week I went for further tests and paid 180 euro for it, now they told me I can get the ReLEx SMILE laser. So yesterday I went for the operation. Then during the surgery the had to stop because the machine didn't make the incision big enough. Or so I am told. Today I went for a check up and now I am suddenly told I can not have SMILE laser but I can have FEMTO LASIK... Every visit I get a different doctor. What am I supposed to think of this??? And during the surgery the doctor did NOT tell me ANYTHING about what will happen. Not even that I should focus on the green dot. I only knew to focus on the green dot because I looked up other peoples experiences beforehand. The surgeon did not tell me anything and left me in the dark about anything. I don't feel very confident that with every visit I get told I need another type of surgery. I also don't feel very confident in a surgeon who is this incapable of guiding me through a procedure. I don't ask them to be super socially skilled, but guiding a patient through the procedure is basic stuff.

Today the icing on the cake: I actually had an appointment for mid-December, but due to complaints I was supposed to make an appearance today (logically I had also reported on the problems I still had since the laser treatment). After an hour of waiting (okay) I came into Dr Phalitzsch's room. I have never experienced such treatment! From the start I was made aware of how unwanted I was at the moment. Even though there was a lot going on today, such a manner sucks. My actual complaints were not even addressed, she asked about my problems since the laser treatment, but then didn't even want to hear the answers, unbelievable. "I shouldn't be like that and fall back on glasses if necessary" - "Oh, come on..." .... your statements. When I then got down to the actual reason for the visit, I noticed how restless she was and assumed that I had a cold and should have it treated after all. "Everything is fine with her eye," she said, but without really checking it. Only when I asked her directly to examine me and told her how uncomfortable I was feeling did she look into my eyes again for a minute. Unbelievable, with what kind of arrogance and how annoyed one can meet patients!!!! At the end I asked if my glaucoma prophylaxis was over because my eye pressure was finally measured and if I could do without the appointment in a week's time. Again, she reacted annoyed, she didn't have time to take care of it, I should have this checked by another ophthalmologist (I was told last time not to go to another ophthalmologist) and she didn't have time in the appointment calendar see whether glaucoma prophylaxis is pending at the next appointment! Wow! The rating given is addressed to Dr. medical Phalitzsch. The rest of the practice is fine and you are treated in a friendly manner.

Bernward Eberenz: The medical execution of the OP itself may be ok. The patient ADDRESS and SUPPORT, on the other hand, is NOT! Not only does it leave a lot to be desired, it is not only horribly bad but also deficient to the point of rudeness!!! This private clinic acts like a money sucking machine when dealing with the patients! Beyond what is absolutely necessary, no handshake is done more than absolutely necessary! Even the slightest friendliness at reception - none! Availability in case of complications - ZERO! If in doubt, you will be snapped at on the so-called HOTLINE that you should contact the emergency room of the Charité if there are postoperative complications! INCOMPREHENSIBLE! NEVER AGAIN!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!! P. S. Individual (very few) employees are excluded from this fundamental criticism!

Sergei Kalachev: The staff is friendly and polite, doctors and assistants are also polite, but I suspect it’s because they want you to buy into their lies. I had a laser surgery made in my home country and after two years my vision started deteriorate. Only right eye. I couldn’t go back to my country because of corona and decided to get help in Berlin (It’s Europe after all, Germany, good medicine, advanced technologies and so on). I brought a health certificate and different documents with my health history translated to German. So, nobody really went through them. They gave me eye drops to dilate the pupil, checked my vision on some kind of machine. Then the guy looked into the eye with light and then complete nonsense... He said I have myopia and hyperopia and I am not allowed to drive and he said I might have glaucoma and need to do their costly analysis. God knows how many times I visited eye doctors in different places - none of them ever noticed anything related to glaucoma, no one in my family has ever had it. And hyperopia??? I see perfectly fine things in front of me. So, he said I need to do a bunch of analysis with total cost of ~170 euro. I had to go back to my country in the end, visited just regular clinic. Paid 11 euro for doctors appointment, they found out my eye has grown a bit (based on my health certificate and documents that I had) that’s why only right eye deteriorates (myopia is basically it, eye grows vision deteriorates). No glaucoma (pressure in the eye is normal), no hyperopia of course. All was well explained. That’s a shame, Paulig clinic not only does not help people, it hurts people by lying and telling nonsense. What if I didn’t know what myopia hyperopia glaucoma is? And just trusted the clinic? God knows. I would NOT recommend going here. Oh, and of course the clinic will answer my comment (most probably in German) saying that it is a complete lie and I am an idiot that got everything wrong 👍

Lu Su: The reception were really nice, explained every details to me, as well as the doctor, let me feel relax and comfortable. PS: The decoration is different from other clinic, more artistic. But when I used the eye drops prescribed by my doctor for ten days, my eye symptoms got even worse. I made a new appointment with the same male doctor who told me that it was normal for my symptoms to worsen because the eye drops had antibiotics that made my eyes more sensitive. I asked at least twice if it was allergy related, and the doctor said to keep using the other spray and ointment, and if it was still bad for fifteen days to try the allergy eye drops again. This was unacceptable to me, I then went to another hospital with the same machine, the doctor took a look at the allergy and told me that the eye drops with antibiotics I was using were not right for my symptoms, I used the eye drops prescribed by another doctor and after only one day the symptoms had already started to get better. This treatment was really a very bad experience.

Anil Uckunkaya: Typical commercial place, barely an eye clinic, more like a beauty saloon. The doctor only checked my eyes for 2 minutes, refused to speak English, I could barely understand what the problem was. Also they were trying hard to sell their own products, an eye spray for 25 EUR. Very bad experience overall.

Alejandro Sáez: I can only confirm previous comments and evaluations. Very unprofessional in general. The waiting time is always above 1 hour, no matter if you scheduled the appointment 1, 2 or 3 months in advance. If you complain about it –and I did several times–, they just say: “well, one or two hours is normal”. This alone gives a very clear idea about how this clinic is managed. Apart from that, the diagnosis is really poor and inaccurate in my opinion. I'm afraid I am another case of a “potential glaucoma”, which seems to be pretty common for what I’ve seen in other comments. Don’t try to get more information about it. You won’t get any clear answers, but they will ask you for +150€ for a laser treatment, 100€ for pills, extra costs for additional tests... just a rip off. Never again.

S Q: Horrible experience! After waiting an hour even I had an appointment fixed they refused to give me a prescription if I won’t pay for the additional glaucoma checking. Scammers. The appointment itself took like 10 minutes. Don’t go there, all negatives reviews are true! Weirdly enough most of the positive comments are given by accounts with a single review!

Artur Brynka: I have moderate positive experience with this clinic. On positive side, staff and doctors speaks English, and waiting time was somehow okay (approx. 20 mins). On bad side, I have strong feeling that clinic aims for profit at first place (or I just don't understand specifics of Augenarzt, like why they need 2 appointments to write recipe for glasses), which really demotivates.

bar hoshen: tl;dr - They tried (and actually failed!) to book me an appointment for 9am when the doctor starts working at 10am that day without telling me.(and there are more appointments at 9am that day) I feel lucky for not actually reaching the point of successfully booking an appointment with them. Called to book an appointment, was offered a specific time and i told them that i will send them an email within 10 minutes saying if i will be able to come to that appointment or not. sent them an email with a positive response. 3 days before the appointment i noticed they didn't actually reply my email. I called to check and they actually made a mistake and didn't write my appointment even though they saw the email. While the rep tried apologizing and explaining the mistake, he mentioned that in that day the doctor comes only an hour after the time of my appointment. He also mentioned that there are tons of appointments for that morning at the time of the appointment I was supposed to have...

Emilio Villegas: Went there for a bad eye infection without making an appointment after work. They took me in and I received the right treatment right away. If they offer one of their branded products for eye care I would decline and look for a pharmacy. Their mark up is quite high and you can get the same product for half of the price outside.

Elene Kaikhosroshvili: she told me I don't have a glaucoma yet, but i will get it in couple of years. i checked it with 4 other eye doctors, no one confirmed her "diagnosys". she prescribed me very expensive tests that wasnt covered by insurence. she scared me and almost convinced me to do some (also very expensive) laser thing. i do NOT recommend her to anyone.

Ahmed Mustafa: The worst experience I ever had. They want to get money of you as much as they can. They will scare you with diagnosis that is not accurate. They will convince you to make a lot of unnecessary & expensive tests. They will try to sell you medicine that is very expensive. They even tried to charge me more money because I asked them to print out my tests result. They is always a long waiting time in the clinic (1+ hour)

Greg & Chris Callison: After suffering for nearly 20 years with unpredictable and extremely painful episodes of Corneal Erosion, it was during that frightening 3am emergency visit to the Charite eye clinic that the attending eye doctor gave me a referral to Dr. Torun. I am still thanking God that - after seeing countless eye surgeons, he alone finally figured out the problem - i.e. that the numerous eye doctors I had seen in the USA had prescribed the wrong eye medicine! Thanks to his brilliant diagnosis and excellent cornea laser surgery, I have not had that problem for over 10 years. He is truly my hero, absolutely outstanding in his field.

Birgit Gräf: I was born in 2015 at the Charité by Dr. Thorun operated on the right eye with DMEK. Absolutely fantastic with 100 percent visual acuity, my ophthalmologist says, if you didn't know, you won't see the DMEK corneal transplant. Unfortunately, I had previously had an operation on my left eye in Hamburg, with unsatisfactory results. Human!!! and technically an absolutely great doctor.

GLS 1905: It's a shame that you don't get any hope for a child 10 years old. Unfortunately, doctors can sometimes deceive, I presented my 10-year-old son to a special clinic abroad, and what a coincidence the doctors there promised treatment methods. It's a pity dear doctor, but unfortunately we are no longer of any value here as a patient with public health insurance. I will only say so much about this, you should not give up hope and hold on to the statement of this doctor alone for the diagnosis as a diagnosis.

Klara Himmel: I got my eyes lasered in May 2022 by Dr. Maus and I am so glad I finally did it. Over the last 6 years I was thinking about it since I have never felt comfortable with glasses and contact lenses. Everyone at Sehkraft was really friendly and created an relaxed and comfortable environment. I was even able to do the check ups in Cologne and Berlin ( I kinda lived at both places at this time). I had OrthoK-lenses before and waited 5month until we did the LASIK. I felt really safe and it was spoken openly to me about the wait time it could take and that they would not laser if there still would be a change in my dioptrien. The surgery itself was quick and easy. I was able to see right away. Only 3 hours of tearing eyes afterwards. 1month after they already don’t feel that dry anymore and I haven’t regret the decision in any way yet. Thanks to Dr. Maus and the entire Sehkraft Team

Konstantin Krokhin: I had Femto-Lasik with iDesign done. I see perfectly clear 150%. Some dryness in the eyes, but I was told it usually passes after a couple of months. The doctors and other staff are super friendly and professional. I also have some minor decrease in the night vision as it sometimes happens, but it is also expected to stabilize over next months I believe. Beware that the prices on the website are for eyes with -1 and less myopia, so the final price will be more for you if you have i.e. -5. Overall I am super satisfied and happy that I did the surgery. Natali Minko performed the surgery and it very quick and painless :)

Daniel Bruynooghe: I had my eyes lasered here and have only positive things to say. Professional, experienced, well organized and very friendly. Have achieved 20/20 vision. Did not have to wait at all. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Barbara Szabo: Exremely long wait (despite private insurance)! Very unfriendly personal. I actually stood up an left. Never again.

Ingo Kraatz: I too have had bad experiences with this practice. I've been a patient there for years, the doctors I've been to are all nice and competent, but the reception staff can hardly be beaten when it comes to unfriendliness! If I just need new drops (which I have to take for life) I ALWAYS need a checkup first! Long queues outside at 7:30 a.m., the waiting room jam-packed and that too with Corona! I will look for another practice!

Beate Knoth-Schindler: I had new lenses fitted 6 years ago for €5,000. From then on, I went for a check-up once a year. This year I also wanted to have a check-up on July 8th, 2022 and was in the practice at 10.45 am after having to drive more than 40 km from Hoppegarten and a previous doctor's appointment. Since I am abroad for several months at this time, I only had little time for various doctor's appointments. I said that to the office hours assistant at the counter and asked her to accept me during the official office hours until 12:00 noon. In a very dominant and dismissive way, I was told that the rules here are like that. My request for an exception, since the waiting room was only occupied by a few people, was brusquely rejected. This practice cannot be recommended, the acceptance system is discriminatory for patients with health insurance. It also doesn't matter whether, like me, you paid for the actual surgery privately. Very shameful and highly rude.

O Riol: I've been a patient for several years and have experienced a lot of positive as well as negative experiences. The treatment from the doctors was always excellent. Registration and organization has improved significantly. The timing of the treatment was also great this time.

Sylvia Albrighton: It's unbelievable how badly the patients are treated by the ladies at the reception! I also had to endure that a few times! It surprises me that the practice is overcrowded when you are treated like cattle on an assembly line. I live in Italy and was only in Berlin for cataract surgery (2 eyes...several visits...all unpleasant!). God knows how I came across this center? About the treatment: the doctor who looked after me throughout was very nice, friendly, competent and patiently advised me, thank you! The first operation was with a laser, the doctor didn't introduce himself! I had to ask him his name! And that with a short intervention with the laser for 1000€! The anesthesiologists….1. Woman, rude, cold... left a huge bruise on my hand and didn't numb me properly, so I was in pain at times and the doctor asked her to inject. Second surgery, checkout, anesthetist arrogant, scared me and left 2 bruises……. What I reports is all true and not exaggerated! One should consider carefully whether this is the right eye clinic for the needs.

Timothy Brick: Was visiting Berlin as a tourist from the USA. Had a situation with my eye that needed immediate attention. Called them and they were able to see me that same day. The Doctors here were great and couldn't have been nicer, and more understanding of my situation. They were a great help when I really needed it.

Ahmad Alani: The staff is very friendly and cooperative, I have been treated by Dr. Veltrup (as I remember her name), she is very professional and did a very well check to my eyes, explained me my case in very simple way, also she was very nice and friendly, and all the team there speak English very well. I highly recommend them , but I think they are more specialist in surgeries.

Sandra Jimenez: Very competent Mrs. Mielke... she operated on me and everything was great. Unfortunately, I don't always like going there because of waiting times. At least 2-3 hours each time!! 😡

Boris Goldshteyn: Dear (private) patients! I would absolutely avoid this practice! Here you are completely exempted as a (private) patient. I went to the practice for an ingrown hailstone. Not a complicated thing actually. The statement shows this: the services related to the hailstone surgery were worth around €100. From the first moment I was seen as a cash cow and investigations were carried out, also several times, which have absolutely nothing to do with the actual problem. Which are very expensive and, according to a doctor friend of mine, absolutely unnecessary for the obvious problem at hand and the correspondingly short surgery. After repeated inquiries and even refusals, these examinations were literally forced on me. The result: an invoice of almost 600€! So unless you want to act as a gold mine for this practice, I would recommend you to go to another practice. Where you actually tackle the problem, which is why you make representations in practice. And not only the greed for money is in the foreground. The surgery itself went well and smoothly.

Sarah: Miss Dr. Mielke has been very rude, so I avoid this practice. Even her employees later complained to me about the behavior of Dr. Mike apologizes.

Guter Kuenstler: I've been waiting for my estimate for surgery for 5 (!) weeks. Unbidden, a complex anamnesis was taken, which is not necessary for a small operation, but ok. 4 calls, constantly claiming that the estimate will be sent to you soon. Where is the problem? Is money made here with the anamnesis, and then you hear nothing more? Totally unprofessional in dealing with customers.

Before the examination, everything was done before the doctor was contacted, which I find very pleasant, as it shortens the waiting time immensely. Klaus Bernhardt: Friendly helpful staff. Went there again on the advice of my ophthalmologist. Because of OP. ( cataract ) . I felt very well looked after by the staff and doctors. Got an appointment for the surgery right away. First of all, thank you for the intensive investigation and friendliness of the staff. Today I had my first eye operation (new lens). I felt very well taken care of. Everything was explained to me again. And all the staff from reception to discharge were warm, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately only 5 stars are possible, but deserve a lot more. Thanks for everything, I'm fine and I'll be happy to come back in January for the other eye because I feel like I'm in good hands.

Stefanie Wagner: I can only recommend the Charité to everyone. Starting with the nursing team, who always give their all and make sacrifices, everything just fits. The doctors are great, certainly also because the Charité has an excellent reputation throughout Europe. Unfortunately, I had to undergo more or less painful stays and examinations there, but I was always glad that I was in the Charité. Really great, please keep it up!!!

max 29: So this visual school is a total disaster. Let's start with the dates. Regardless of whether you are a private patient or a health insurance payer, you have to wait around 3 months for an appointment. The receptionist is a very very very I reiterate VERY rude person who definitely should not be working with children. She doesn't understand that kids sometimes too Running around, or being stubborn. A simple billing address change is also asking too much. Today we were allowed to wait 1.5 hours in the waiting room and now 2 hours. Each time not a single patient was called and the doctor's room was empty. I don't know if they first had to eat lunch or slept a bit, but it doesn't make sense to let small children wait 2 hours without any apparent reason in a waiting room that is 0% child-friendly. STRESS PRE-PROGRAMMED! And now to the doctor. We've been there 3 times so far and didn't even get a clear explanation of what our daughter's problem is. If the child cries, they don't wait until the child has calmed down, NO, they say yes, make a new appointment. The last time I almost had to mess with the doctor so she waited 2 seconds. I can't rate the skill. But we will definitely switch practices because this place is a total disaster.

Anke Neldner: I have some doctors and asst. Met doctors at the clinic. All doctors deserve 5 stars plus. The treatment as such was very, very good. The doctors took their time and explained everything professionally so that I could get good help. However, what is demanded of the doctors by the clinic management borders on bodily harm. Doctors work through patients without a break, like on an assembly line. When man becomes a mass product, one has probably ended up in the eye clinic. It's just wonderful that the doctors can still take the rest and time for their patients. Thank you very much for your daily commitment! Waiting times in my case were over 6 hours on the first visit. The registration forces do not take enough care of the doctors.

Kubi: The visual school is not recommended. My daughter had a squint. Her eyesight deteriorated from day to day. She received drops of cortisone for weeks. Today, 5 weeks later, I took her to another eye clinic. There you just shook your head at the long medication of cortisone. As a result, my daughter got an eye pressure of 50, which was not found in the Charité. According to the doctor, she should take the drops for another 2-3 weeks. And the comment on seeing the worse and worse was that it will be fine. To make matters worse, she got a prescription for glasses with wrong values. The Charité was definitely good, but the times are over.

Gützi: Previously 5/5 but today.. Maximum 3/5 It is broken saved, in the bathroom the tiles were broken. In the past (2 years) there were about 4-5 nurses now there are 2 When asked "can I have another bottle of water" came the answer "we don't have any more, I'll give him a bottle from the team room" And at my request "can I go to the children's ward" came "It was closed for price reasons" You really were a good hospital, now it's being saved like so many other things. Petra Bornemann: Very long wait times, and nothing happened. (The aisle doesn't get emptier with patients) One gets the impression that the breaks are more important. We had an appointment at 9.45 and left the eye clinic after almost 8 hours. Even if it's a teaching hospital, it shouldn't be like that. Friendliness is given here. We understand but at some point this will end.

Katrin Albaum: Absolutely not recommended if you have something acute in your eye. I went to the eye emergency room for a foreign object and I'm still here 7 hours later and I haven't been treated. Personally, I will never go here again and in similar cases I recommend holding out until an ophthalmologist's office opens and going there.

Puppet Masta: Best bronchoscopy in the world. The rest of the house urgently needs renovation and should not be listed. Far too few nurses for this, doctors abound in some wards. The food should not be brought into the room. Otherwise you don't move at all. All the money is mis-distributed.

Michael Mund: If you are actually sick then the Charité in Berlin is the clinic of choice. Here high quality is well paired with competence. Due to the presence of doctors from many disciplines, a targeted diagnosis is very likely. It always helps to put some pressure on so as not to get lost in hospital operations. The appointments within the clinic are not easy to get, but they are significantly faster than with general practitioners. The commitment of the doctors and therapists as well as the nursing staff is high. If sick - then Charité!
