Ceramic Kingdom: what do users think?

Keren Tseytlin: This studio is simply amazing. There are so many classes available to learn different parts of ceramics, not just wheel throwing! The studio hours are frequent and great for anyone who wants to practice or just needs space to create. On top of that, it has a great vibe. The staff is open to explorations and the studio has most supplies needed. This is the best pottery studio I’ve ever created at. Thanks!!

Isabella T: Excellent offer of pottery classes. All bookings and payments can be done online. There were so many options of courses that I did not where to start as a beginner! Group classes are small enough to have one to one interactions with instructor. My instructor, Silvia, was super patient, easy-going and helpful. Equipment and materials are readily available for class takers and members of CK!

Andrea Castillo: I had a great course in the studio with Lisa. I did not had experience with clay before and it was a perfect introduction. Lisa was very patient and supportive throughout the trainings. I also found very useful and engaging to experience how knowledgeable about the different techniques and even history of ceramics she was. Thanks a lot! It was definitly worth the time I invested in every session.

Olga Danilenko: In my case, the hosting woman for a publicly announced pottery class was completed unfriendly, it happened that this organisation posted misleading and incomplete information to promote the class and disguise the important details of required payment which we learnt on the spot. Since it was a quite abrupt news ( the price was quite high for similar classes, and no idea why) for us and delivered with no respect or care about their reputation, we had to leave. I suggest Ceramic Kingdom to work on their price policy and communication style. Very upset about this experience.

Lela Harrison: Such a great class! The instructor was very kind and patient. Great way to get into ceramics

Tomás Fonseca: We had a good time there. We booked a private session and our teacher, Mariana, was amazing. Very patient with people that clearly lack artistic skills and we ended up with 4 nice (as possible) pieces. The only "negative" aspect is that the follow-up sessions (trimming and painting) are too expensive, so we ended up doing just one of them.

Melissa Taylor: I took the beginners wheel course and really enjoyed it. Very calm teaching of all different skills with a small class. Already been back to do some private practice - the studio is well organised and relaxed, staff are helpful if you need them.

Loam Berlin: what do users think?

Anne-Sophie Deveze: Went for a 3h workshop there with Kelly and it was amazing! Really nice introduction to hand building, this workshop gives you enough time to build beautiful things at your own pace with the support of Kelly. I would definitely recommend it!

Lisanne Wendling: Took a 6 week course here and it was amazing! Very personal and experienced way of teaching. Could definitely recommend this place to anyone willing to try out a new hobby, or to learn more about pottery.

Sa Vo: Loam is a lovely studio! We had an amazing time learning how to make our own cups :). Thanks for teaching us!

Ekaterina Sakharova: Loam is a new small cozy studio owned by three female ceramic artists. I did a six-week handbuilding course with Juliet at this studio and am more than happy with it! You learn all the pottery (+ glazing) basics within 6 weeks. During the course you can make 3 to 5 your own pieces. Juliet is a great teacher: very experienced, funny, relaxed, gives a lot of useful tips <3

Kaan Gürsoy: Great studio with excellent course selection for all levels. Definitely recommended!

Ewa Sporniak: I really recommend this studio!I did only 1 workshop, but I think I will be back! Pottery is so much fun:)Thanks!

Leticia Palomino: It was super fun and very well explained! I loved it Loam and will definetely come back. Totally worth it!! ♡

Andi Donald: Great shop run by the artists themselves. Can recommend signing up for one of their workshops as well.

Valentina Neumair: I did a handbuilding workshop at Loam and it was super fun! I can totally recommend it 👍👍👍👍👍

claï studio ceramic atelier: what do users think?

Leon van den Berg: I booked a two-day workshop at claï studio as a surprise for my girlfriend. We both absolutely loved it. It was something we both always wanted to do, and I couldn’t have wished for a better place to do it. The studio is amazing and Steffi is the greatest teacher. She is really kind, patient and creative. Would recommend! ☺️

Lobke Rottger: My boyfriend and I did, in celebration of our engagement, a pottery workshop with Steffi. We both had no experience with ceramics, but Steffi managed to teach us the basics in just two days. Steffi has a nice way of teaching, giving you the chance to learn the basics in your own way and own pace. It’s awesome that we have our own-made ceramics at home as a reminder to this class and the city of Berlin. It’s a shame that we don’t live in Berlin, because i’d love to continue learning more about ceramics with Steffi. I will defenitely recommend doing this class to our friends! Leon and Lobke

Valentina Sanfilippo: I took the Throwing Wheel For Beginners class and it was truly amazing: Steffi is a really good teacher, the space is calming and it was the perfect activity to sooth the after-work stress. :)Totally recommended!

Johanna Matthews: I was lucky choosing Steffi being my first teacher in throwing the wheel. In her beautiful studio she curates a well-organized workshop with much expertise, one-on-one guidance as well as the right amount of helpful tips from her own experience and your space for try and error. You will thrive on with lots of good music, personal advice and the perfect atelier feeling. I came with much interest in pottery and found my ignition moment!

R M: I took a pottery class at Steffi‘s beautiful studio and just loved it!

G: The ceramics of clai studio display an intriguing mix between raw and refined as well as purposeful and accidental.

Milena Reismann: I was looking for a studio where I could try pottery on the wheel and luckily I came across Steffi. Aside from the fact that their own pottery is ultra beautiful, the course was also well done. Steffi is very likeable, loves her job and, above all, takes the time to explain everything calmly and very helpfully. In the end, you even have a few small success stories during the taster course. :) So I can only highly recommend - regardless of whether you are a beginner, already advanced or looking for beautiful ceramics - to find your way to Steffi in her cozy studio!

Barsega Studio Gallery (former brsg Keramik): what do users think?

nele g: Such a magical place! I took a class about natural glaze and was so impressed about all the knowledge that was passed on to us and happy about the creative freedom in the practical part. So grateful for this light, positive and unexpected empowering place and experience. Thank you so much xxx

Rike Melzian: Such a wonderful studio filled with beautifully made ceramics by a bunch of the kindest people. I attended the natural glazing class and had the absolute best time! Thanks for having me and fueling my inspiration 🙏🏻

Kathrin Haucke: I attended a Natural Glazing workshop and it was so well narrated, full of interesting history of pottery and info about glazes and encouragement to freely explore your own creativity when it came to making your own glaze. Highly recommend!

Leila Abasova: It is 6 out of 5 stars. BEAUTIFUL, very well done and high quality creations of Elizaveta - this is one aspect. The other one is the overall experience I had - attention, support, consistent and reliable communication regarding the parcel delivery. Sending huge virtual hug - I am extremely happy with my purchase and two amazing extras I found in the package <3 Now I have my drinks not because I am thirsty but because I want to use the cups :)

Radek Srubkowski: I got the ceramic class for my finace and decided to tag along. My partner said it was the best birthday gift she ever got, but think I had even more fun then she did:) Elizaveta is an amazing teacher that gives you a great foundation with a pre-workshop lecture and allows you the freedom to create during the practical part. There is a time limit to the class, but everyone during my session was allowed to finish without being urged, which is amazing because you do leave with a feeling that the teacher was there for you to grow and not just to show you something. The studio, where the workshops took place, was very welcoming. We bought some artwork from BRSG Keramik for our friends and they loved it. will definitely return!

Irene: I took part in a workshop about glazing and absolutely loved it. Elizaveta organised such a funny and interesting experience and I want to thank her for creating this. It inspired me so much:)

charisse ysabel: Learned a lot and Elizaveta was very passionate and I especially liked the history behind pottery and her adventures all over the world. It was a great and very chill class.

Lou Regen: Had a wonderful team-bonding online workshop with Elizaveta. It was a beautiful moment and I am excited to continue the clay journey that Elizaveta so nicely introduced me and my team to.

Violaine Toth Ceramic: what do users think?

Kirsten Wearne: I have done 2 courses with Violaine, they are a very intuitive teacher, sharing their own skills and experiences and to give you the confidence to work independently and take away skills to drive your own projects! I would highly recommend Violene to beginners to get the best basic skills, anyone looking to learn new skills or to expand their ceramic skills further! Looking forward to my next class soon hopefully :)

Melis Balkan: We had a lovely group class with Violaine, she was patient, engaging and very welcoming! She encouraged everyone to come up with their own ideas and guided us whenever we had questions. It was the first time working with pottery for most of us and everyone had a great time! I advise her workshop/classes to anyone who would be interested in trying out pottery :)

Lucie Barsegian: What a great class we had with Violaine and Flora! They both managed to handle our big group, were really patient and fun.Violaine conveyed her passion very well and everyone had a lovely afternoon. Thanks again! Truly looking forward to see our fired pieces.

Giuliana Kolling: Violaine is very patient and nice, the session works really well to understand the wheel and I am super happy about the experience. I had a lot of fun! Will definitely come back for more sessions in the future!

Ismail Mansouri: Such a great course, Violaine was an amazing teacher. She wasted no time getting us throwing clay. I LOVE how the three hours class turned out ❤️‍🔥 highly recommend!

Brondie Bradie: Took a ceramic class as a company team building and Violaine showed us solid techniques, catered for everyone’s different artistic needs, while giving us fun, chill times with lovely conversation. I took ceramic classes before but it was either too hard so teacher did everything for me or too hands off without good instructions but this one was just a perfect balance, making our idea materialise with the spot on practical tips from Violaine.

Benedetta Ludovisi: I took a wheel class and a glazing class with Violaine and loved it! She is a great teacher and the studio is also super nice. I highly recommend to take one or more of her classes!

Victor Carvalho Coolen: A small yet ambitious ceramics studio in the heart of Kreuzkölln run by a lovely French queer artist. Violaine makes stunning pottery pieces, gives workshops, and organizes cute exhibitions in collaboration with other likeminded collectives and individuals. Definitely drop by to have a look if you’re in the neighbourhood or if you are looking for a great gift to a close friend!

Christopher Bétrémieux: I had a 3-session private course with Violaine and absolutely loved it. She’s very passionate and friendly. I really liked her teaching method, she helps you get it right but she’s not doing it for you so you learn the (not so) hard way. I’d recommend 100% for someone living in Berlin who wants to learn ceramics as a beginner (or even intermediate level) 👌🏼

Clayground Ceramic Studio: what do users think?

Dalia Hamouda: This place is all what you are looking for to start learning how to throw. Tiz was absolutely the best teacher. Before coming there I was not super enthusiastic after taking another beginner level throwing workshop that I barely learnt anything during. So I kept my expectations low, or nearly dropped out but I am happy that I didn’t give up and I took this workshop with Tiz. I absolutely recommend this place.

Radek Srubkowski: I got the ceramic class for my finace and decided to tag along. My partner said it was the best birthday gift she ever got, but think I had even more fun then she did Elizaveta is an amazing teacher that gives you a great foundation with a pre-workshop lecture and allows you the freedom to create during the practical part. The Botanical Room: Lovely and talented people, lovely space. I enjoyed every minute being there! 10 stars! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Nailya Bikmurzina: Absolutely lovely space for all the ceramic craft lovers

Andreia Fernandes: Amazing Experience.

Malsalon: what do users think?

Reggie Woronowicz: Fantastic acrylic painting classes in both English and German! I love coming here and always enjoy the painting motifs. The teachers are always very helpful, the studio has tons of supplies to use, and you get a large canvas to paint. Usually you trace the outline of the motif with transfer paper and then the teacher helps walk you though the steps for painting acrylics. If your German is not fantastic, don’t worry - it’s easy to follow along and most the teachers know some English. Sessions are usually 2.5 hours. They also do other workshops for different art mediums (watercolor, sketching, etc.) I highly recommend trying out a class!

Gina Q: Super nice atmosphere, the course was very instructive. You can conjure up very beautiful works of art as a complete novice or with some experience. I loved you guys. Thank you so much again👍😊

Florian Steiner: Super courses with great attention to detail! I can recommend the painting salon without hesitation. Gladly again!

Michael Porep: Let us grasp the world of visual art and interpret it ourselves. The reward of self-knowledge greets through the art of understanding. Thank you for your commitment and the tolerance you have lived for your customers.

Niels Moeller: Great idea. Paint to just switch off. Quite authentic, nice place and great artists.

Mel La: It was great fun! Highly recommended, try something different.

Christoph Hornung: Whoever has never painted is just right. Simply a perfect idea!

EN CERAMICA: what do users think?

Jason Van peeren: A friend and me had the honor to have the first class in Ennio’s new Studio. And it was just a wonderful experience. Beautiful Spot, wonderfully sweet person and amazingly well explained , can‘t wait for the result! Thanks so much Ennio :)

Dilan Perera: I had the pleasure of learning the basics at the "WORKS" class and Ennio was the best teacher one could ask for. And the studio ist super beautiful and cozy. Had a great time and learnt a lot and will do it again. :)

Saskia: I can not recommend En Ceramica highly enough. Ennio is incredibly talented, his pieces are pure, powerful, edgy and elegant - like Berlin but in the shape of beautiful mugs, bowls, and plates. I attended the „The Works“ course and it was one of the best decisions I made in 2022. It’s truly a pleasure to learn from and work with Ennio. He creates a warm and empowering atmosphere in his studio and I ended up surprising myself with the pieces I made. If you’re looking for a pottery course or simply for a few special pieces for yourself or to gift to someone, stop searching - this is the place to go. :)

Cort: The 4-week class with Ennio exceeded my expectations. It really was the perfect way to learn the wheel with concentrated time in the studio each Saturday (you can tell he put a lot of heart into building out this special place) and to have quite a few pieces that I now cherish, proving to myself after all these years that I could do it. Ennio is a superb teacher — kind, knowledgeable, funny, and someone who instills confidence to just go for it, fail, start over, surprise yourself and to enjoy the process. Now I’m hooked and want to keep learning from the master. Looking forward to going back in the new year.

Anna Z.: Beautiful ceramics. I bought mugs and a bowl, I look forward to using them every day from now on. Ennio is a super likeable guy! I will gladly come again :)

Clayers Collective - Pottery Studio Berlin: what do users think?

Carole Miko: I took a hand building course at the studio and now regularly use their firing service for doing hand built pottery at home. It’s a very relaxing and well organised cute little studio and the owners are extremely kind. I could highly recommend.

Jay Row: A beautifully designed little pottery studio run with great finesse and friendliness. The courses with small groups and in a quiet atmosphere are highly recommended. Even as a complete beginner, I was able to take home very nice results. I will gladly come again :)

Lea Röwer: The Clayers Collective comes highly recommended. There, in a small, friendly group, I attended the Beginners Wheel course with Sharman Riegger, who has been a patient and encouraging teacher to all of us. The location of the Pottery is bright, tidy and cosy. There is plenty of pottery on the shelves for inspiration - from anteaters to teapots, mugs and vases. Yesterday I picked up the fired and glazed results of the course and am totally happy with them. Thanks very much!

Burnt Sienna Art School Berlin: what do users think?

Elisabeth Howland: I have had the great pleasure of taking two different classes with Burnt Sienna Art School over the past two years. Louise Thomas’s idea that this is “yoga for artists” is really true. We have to give ourselves the time to be creative and get dirty with charcoal and paint sometimes, especially when we are all getting so full with the flatness of the digital world. The first course was live drawing, taught by Louise — we met weekly for two months and worked on all different kinds of drawing exercises, some shorter and some longer executions, and culminated in a show at a local gallery. In that time I honed my skills enough to produce a drawing for the cover of my book, which was published last year. Without Louise’s course and support, the cover would have surely had the work of someone other than myself. I took a second course in oil painting this fall, which was a weekend course taught by a colleague of Louise who was trained in Florence in the style of the Old Masters, and it was a lovely introduction to working with oils (I never had). We were a small group and it was a great experience. In short, I can highly recommend gifting yourself or another person this precious time to develop your creative being. It really is priceless and has so many rewards!

Felicia Scheuerecker: Oh so nice! We are looking forward the next times in your studio...it was amazing and such a nice place...i felt like beeing somewhere in florence....dont know exactly why 😊 The art courses are very professional I joined an oil painting course of Louise Thomas and one "how we look at people" drawing course of Jesse Leroy with a portfolio review. Very helpful! A place full of friendly and talented people! Thank you so much! ❤

Anna MacIver: I have done two courses at Burnt Sienna Art school - the winter intro to oil painting course and also one day portrait painting course with Jesse Leroy Smith. I had zero experience in oil painting and Louise was a great teacher who taught me loads. I built on what I learn from that class in the portrait class and was able to create something I was super happy with. I really like how you have the opportunity to be creative and paint what you like and have your own style but getting great advice and technique tuition at them same time. Louise is really good at also creating a great friendly atmosphere so it’s always a really fun day. Looking forward to my next lesson!!:) thanks Louise and Jesse - 5/5 would recommend!!

Elaine Dettmann: Louise is an amazing and supportive teacher. Her studio has a warm renaissance atmosphere and small class sizes. While other drawing courses in Berlin are either very casual and lacking structure, or highly academic and unaffordable, Burnt Sienna Art School offers a comfortable middle for artists of any level. Highly recommended.

Chantelle Gallow: Louise is an excellent teacher. I had never picked up a paint brush and she gave me enough guidance without feeling like she was painting for me. It is a real treat to be able to paint outside in the fresh air and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to get out of my head and just create something with my hands for a few hours. To anyone who is thinking about doing some courses in life drawing or oil painting I would highly recommend!

Effy Nails: I’m so glad to have found this beaut art school. So far I’ve attended the winter oil course and the portrait in oil workshop and I can’t wait to do more. Louise (and Jesse) have been excellent teachers, enabling and inspiring me to explore painting- something I’ve had on my list for a very long time. Thank you Burnt Sienna!

Enrique Benítez Molina: it was a wonderful life drawing course. the teacher creates a magical atmosphere which makes you let your inner artist out. without having an artistic background and having had bad experiences with other courses i was able to learn, enjoy and love what i drew :)

Carla Gronwald: The studio is like an island of art in Berlin! Love the classes so much I never feel the time goes by. And Louise is the most wonderful teacher you can possibly have :)

Chiara Chierchiè: Louise is an amazing teacher, she puts a lot of care in making everyone be proud of their work!
