Franziskus-Krankenhaus: what do users think?

Ante: I come here due to recommendations of my general doctor for urgent problem. I also have prescription from doctor to admit me as soon as possible. However, when I arrived they refuse to take me with sentence, since I can walk and dont cry cause of pain that it is not urgent and that I go somewhere else next day. Absolutely worst service ever. I just can not understand how is allow to practice medicine today by refusing the person to offer medical help. So for some comments here who are positive, probably are from employees. Otherwise go anywhere else if u need treatment!

Abdul Rahman Khankan: I don't really understand where all the negative reviews came from 🤷‍♂️ I've had an amazing experience with super friendly nurses and doctors, and everyone spoke good English (well not the person responsible for meals, but he was still friendly and we could communicate with basic words and signs:D) The emergency staff were awesome and reassuring, and then I had to be checked in and the 4a wing staff were very helpful and kept checking on me and asking if I needed anything. The hospital and facilities were clean and hygienic. I visited this hospital a year ago and my experience was similar. Overall I had a really positive encounter, and I hope that I don't need a hospital in the future, but if I did, I'll definitely come here.

vishnu v gopal: Doctor and staff was helpful. There is no pedeatrician/kids doctor here, so we were referred to another hospital after completing the inital checks.

Fahmi Al-Najjar: Inefficient emergency services. It took me 7 hours for a simple fever and throat pain symptoms.

Ailish Macleod: Good clean hospital with friendly and helpful staff. English and German speaking. Was seen within 10 minutes by a knowledgeable doctor, after being turned down at every other GP practice because I am not a german resident. Paid a fee of €10 and then another sum for my prescription at the pharmacy. EU health card accepted.

Alexander Buyanov: Great hospital with very friendly staff. Came to the emergency room at 8pm and got treated immediately, had surgery the next day without a problem. Almost all doctors and nurses speak good English, listen to requests and are always available for help. Can only recommend. 🙏🏼

The Patriot: If you have an emergency, i suggest you to avoid this hospital. I went for an emergency because i hurt my toe very bad and turned blue i was afraid i had broken it, went to this hospital had to wai first 2 hours for the doctor and after doctor came made me a rentgen i waited another 1 hour to tell me if its broken or not, and then doctor told me that the nurses will come and put bandages on your foot and then i waited another half an hour for the nurses while i was hearing them laughing and eating in the other room next to mine until i just took my things and left the hospital without any help..

Andrew Erickson: Visiting from the US and not feeling well (flu). Went at 6:30 pm to see a doctor and nurse in ER was extremely grumpy. I just left rather than wait a long time for what would likely be a doctor with similar temperment. Funky smell and seemed understaffed. Got OTC meds at an apothecary and they were extremely friendly.

Mariam Kintsurashvili: You come to hospital to get relief and treatment but not to get even sicker. Waiting time of 4 hours (maybe more, as we're still waiting while I'm writing this review) at the emergency for a person with a severe flu and high fever, highly contagious to other patients waiting in the same hall - this is just unbelievable! Staff doesn't seem to care. Blood test was taken extremely badly with hand bleeding for some time. Maybe you get such kind of treatment as a foreigner, and otherwise it's a different case. Anyway, highly NOT RECOMMENDED hospital. Pure disappointment

John F McClellan: This hospital is excellent. I had to have a last minute surgery and the doctor suggested this facility. They took care of me in a timely manner and the staff was extremely nice. Lots of English speaking nurses and Doctors. I upgraded to the 2 Bed Room for 85€/night, since I would only be one night. I have had lots of crappy issues with hospitals in the past (AVOID CHARITE EVEN IF YOU ARE DYING, GO SEE A VET FIRST). I really cannot recommend this hospital more. Simply put they take care of you when you need it the most.

Martin Luther Hospital: what do users think?

Gabriel Cerrato: I helped bring in a patient with a bleed to the emergency room around 6pm. they made us wait. Then after 30minutes they finally decided to evaluate the patient and severity. Then they finally directed us to a doctor on the second floor. No assistance whatsoever to a patient who was in pain and couldn’t walk. Once upstairs, we had to wait still for hours to finally sit with a doctor. No medication was given or infused. We were sent at midnight to no pharmacies open and the ones that were open told us they needed the medication to be ordered until the next morning. The patient had to go through a rough night and bare with pain.

Shuai Liu: I was overdue and I waited for 4-5hours for the 5 minutes examination on a not busy day. In fact, when the female doctor brought the male intern to the examination room, she did not communicate with me. She just ordered me to lie down. Ironically these two was talking about personal stuff and laughing, there is no care and sympathy for a pregnant woman with a 40w pregnant belly who has been waiting for them for a long time. On the day of delivery, there was another bed available in the ward where I stayed, but my husband was forbidden to accompany me, he has to leave 3hrs after i give birth. Instead of let my husband stay the nurses wrapped the bed in plastic and leave it in my ward for my entire stay. I think it's ridiculous. I had c-section, but they allocated the family room to the family who gave nature birth shortly ahead of me. Just think a little bit more, Which women needs a family to take care of her more? On the second day after my operation, I had to push the my baby to the diaper room outside the ward to change the child's diaper, and i need to go few times a day, because the nurses say this is mom job to do and i need to learn it. Is it rocket science? Why do I need to "learn" it so urgently? walk with the my c-section wound and the catheter was torture, I told myself I'm a mom now i should not to cry but it's so too much pain and i wish if i can have any sort of humanly help. Nurses check me up 3-4 times a day but it's all just to keep you alive when you're alone in the ward. My child is almost two years old now, but when I think about the delivery and inspection experience at that time, is still the worst days of my life and i wish no one else need to experience it.

Keivan Karimi: I strongly recommend against going to emergency room of this hospital specially on night shifts. - The waiting hour in emergency room is pretty long. We went there on 7.30 pm and doctor visited my wife at 10 pm. - I can see others also mentioned in reviews that the staff will not treat you well if you do not speak German. Well, multiply it by 10. My wife asked politely from the nurse in German, if she could speaks English so that my wife could explain her symptoms and the issue better. The nurse said "Nie" which means never!!! They forced her to tell her issue with limited German proficiency or she can leave. Is it a school and is the nurse a teacher forcing you to learn the language??? Medical & emergency issues could be the matter of life and death. The nurse should not force here preferences to patient. Also for god's sake English is made from German language, half of the words are almost the same. How on earth someone who had studied in medical and caring field can say "I don't understand English at all" ??? Also as far as I know the official language of EU is still English &surprise, surprise, Germany is in EU ... They took my wife's blood sample & gave her a partial treatment and told her to wait in lobby. After waiting for another hour (it is 1.30 am now), they told my wife that she was not there and doctor came to visit her & doctor could not find her and that's her fault that she left the room. The nurse was saying all of this while she was laughing ... We left the emergency room at about 2 am with no results and a paper indicating "The patient left the emergency room on her willing and doctor could not do further treatments".

Ahmad Mansee: Our experience was really great, the stuff is nice spoke English with us and provided the best medical care possible. Highly recommend for delivering your baby

Hawdi Kids: Rarely got the phone answered by Orthopedics reception. Which forced us to visit by ourselves nevertheless it’s painful to walk to get an appointment. I will find another place.

Sunny Paul: This is a worst hospital. My wife had a second delivery in this hospital and the experience were horrific. My wife had a very good progress while reaching the hospital. We preferred water birth and the midwife there prepared a hot water in the tub and wife started sweating from the scalp and the babies heart rate went really high. I called the midwife and she asked to wipe my wifes face with a wet towel. She got cold and her body temperature increased. Even then the midwife does not agree her mistake or correct the water temperature. Then i asked my wife to step out from the water. Than the midwife realised she made some mistake beacuse the baby heart rate went really high and she started forcing my wife to deliver the baby as fast possible. By Gods grace baby was safe. The midwife has no knowledge about water birth and there was no support from the midwife. Even the ladies who serve the food were racisit and a very bad behavior, she was asking my wife to pick her own tea or milk from the pantry by herself and commented that you can do it by yourself as you didn't had a C-section. And the review letter after delivery they wrote that she didn't know german language leads to the complication in the birth. The staff are racisit. If you want to have a best birthing experience go to drk westend hospital but for that we have to book by 12th week of our pregnancy.

Ömer Alptuğ Öztürk: Had an ablation surgery they were very caring , thanks a lot

Marina Albigiante: Rude treatment in the emergency room, sarcastic tone to speak with patients and lack of human touch. They refused to attend me in the emergency room, because of the nature of the symptoms I presented. The biggest problem was the way two of the employees communicated with me. Dealing with people's health is a delicate subject and communicating properly is key. I clearly received a different treatment for not being a German citizen, as the first question I received was if I was a tourist - I am a legal resident in Germany. If you don't speak German, I also recommend you find another hospital. Overall I wouldn't recommend.

Nadia Zyakwa: Great clinic, amazing personal from cleaning lady to doctors. Everybody is very friendly, caring, kind. They really think about patients, their comfort and health, try to care, help and even support psychologically, control all aspects of treatment all the time. They made me a knee surgery, gave a plan of recovering, all necessary medicines and equipment (with public insurance). Thank you so much. You are amazing people doing huge job.

avani rao: I was there for C Section with my first baby girl born and I was very satisfied the doctors and nurses were all very nice. I appreciate the way doctors and nurses treated me nicely and friendly. 👍🏻

Waldfriede Hospital: what do users think?

Aja Jane: I had a good experience here. The nurses and doctors were all very kind, thorough, and helpful. My German isn’t good, and in the past I have been treated poorly at hospitals because of this, but this didn’t happen here. There was even one nurse who spoke no English but she used Google translate on her phone to communicate with me. The one downside is that it is a disorganized place. Both times I came here (for my consultation then my surgery) I was sent back and forth between different wards when I was trying to check in; everyone I spoke to was telling me I needed to be somewhere different. But this minor inconvenience was worth it for the great care.

Max Schad: Our experience here was beyond words. We couldn't be more grateful to have had our first born daughter born here. The midwives, doctors, the entire staff was unbelievably kind, friendly, warm, supportive and professional. We really can't say enough about our experience from walking into the maternity wing at 3:30am until we left 4 days later.

Rachna “Yes, She Pilots” Reiter: I was admitted there and am very grateful to them for helping me swiftly. Most of them spoke English were very kind and patient, took very good care of me. The hospital is clean, very nice and knowledgeable doctors and nurses! Thank you!

Gabriel Anhaia: Best hospital and staff. They were very professional, and it took about 1:30 since arrived, until they spoke with me, and I took an x ray, what is way faster than any other hospital in Berlin. I strongly recommend.

Christina Olivier-Maj: I can highly recommend the maternity ward (Kreißsaal) here at Waldfriede. I was very impressed by the quality of the medical treatment. The midwives and doctors spoke english, and took the time to guide us through the process so kindly. Overall very positive experience.

John Robson: The surgery team that fixed up my hand after a bicycle wreck was great. The overall experience, however, was diminished by a lack of effort to communicate with non-native German speakers. An example was when I was delivered to my room after surgery. I was just parked and left. Despite both arms being in casts the nurse didn't explain anything, or put the call button where I can reach it. A German patient came in later and got a five minute orientation to the bed and the call button, etc. The same thing with the food. They gave the Germans menu choices, but just brought me cold cuts. Apparently the effort of asking me was too much, so someone just picked for me. When I asked why I wasn't given a choice, she said she would check, but never came back. I should be discharged in the morning but no one has explained when my family should come back to pick me up. Also the room has three people in it with no privacy curtains. Floor is disgusting under bare feet but no slippers were issued, at least not to me. Overall holistic patient experience is like a trip back to the 1950s.

Natassja Lehmann: The staff are so lovely here. Very communicative, and genuinely kind. They made the effort to speak English for me. I am able to speak German, but medical stuff sometimes escape me, especially when nervous about an operation. This really helped! And what a lovely garden. Thank you for looking after me so well!

Giorgio Peacock: The staff are so lovely here. I had an outpatient surgery and the experience was excellent. Highly recommended.

Liam Anthony: Everybody very friendly but the hierarchy between the doctors and the midwifes is not clear which causes great confusion for the primary necessities of the patients.

Amaan Faragalli: I hate this place it took a week to do 1 leg surgery
Response: Dear Mr. Razee, we are sorry that the stay with us was too long for you. However, it must also be clearly stated that your treatment could not have been carried out on an outpatient basis. If you would like to discuss this with us again, please contact the department where you were treated.

Sana Klinikum Lichtenberg: what do users think?

Carol Munar: I have ten weeks of pregnant and I went to this clinic with a terrible headache and worried about the baby. The gynecologist that attended to me asked me if this was a life or death situation and told me that I should go to my gynecologist and not to the clinic. I went there because it was nearest to my house and I follow the recommendation of my doctor, “if you feel bad go to you nearest hospital”... Well WRONG decision. That gynecologist was rude and mean to me. Then they took some blood and never gave me the result. I left that place after 5 hours with out knowing the labs results. So, one start is to much for this awful place.

DRK Kliniken Berlin | Mitte: what do users think?

Jee Hei Park: I’ve had experiences in the past with doctors in Germany. It’s been cold, with a lack of compassion and struggling to navigate just the physical space you’re in. Every person I talked to here was compassionate, understanding and thoughtful. To be honest, it really threw me off. But here, I was met with what I needed at the moment. Be it information, compassion or a laugh. I don’t know their names but to the women in Endoskopie, thank you for making a very scary and weird experience much less scary and weird.
Response: Hello Jee Hei Park, Thank you for rating us so positively. We are very pleased that you felt so comfortable with us. It is wonderful that our employees took away your fear with their cheerful nature. I will be happy to pass on your thanks to the department. I wish you all the best. Best Regards Matthew Henke corporate communications

Dominic Maibaum: Dont understand the bad reviews. At least the emergency unit was super nice and effective. The nurses and doctor was friendly and listened to my symptoms and came to a very quick diagnosis. I dont know why it was so empty that day but i sat down for 1 minute, was called immediatly, got an IV injection instantly and several checkups inlcuding heart rate, blood preassure, taling blood and a xray within 45 minutes. The longest waiting time was for the IV dripping throught Poor them they have to carry you with a wheelchair due to insurance reasons over the whole property to reach the xray Station.

Irma Gagulia: Came here with ambulance. Everyone spoke english. They took all the exams, communicated the process to me. everyone was friendly. Thanks a lot!!!

Patrick Villiers: This was a truly singular experience! A wasp sting on my tongue started a swelling and I just managed to get to the hospital on time: I couldn´t swallow and could hardly breathe. The Red Cross Hospital in Wedding couldn´t have been better: fast, highly efficient, above all, friendly and competent. My thanks to the doc, reception and nursing staff. I was able to leave on the same day and .... have no after effects! PS I left out that it´s also squeaky clean!

Mary Farid: Dr Paul schneider had performed a lung surgery for me 5 years ago. Everything went so smooth, no complications whatsoever. Dr schneider is very knowledgeable and professional, at the same time he is warm and friendly and treats his patients as friends not cases. His assistant also is a superb doctor. The hospital is very clean and well equipped. I liked that the hospital was somewhat small, because there was a warm atmosphere between the staff and the patients. Although it was a major surgery, let me reassure you that I am feeling very healthy now, healthier than I was for years.

Ir Yu: RACIST!!!! AVOID IF YOU DON'T SPEAK GERMAN! The guy at the front desk (has tattoos on both arms) yelled at me YOU ARE IN GERMANY SPEAK GERMAN when I was trying to explain that I have a fast pulse (tachycardia). I was about to lose my consciousness. I thought I was having a heart attack and I tried to show it with my hands. He doesn't need to know English to understand I have a problem with my heart. Just racist... So sad... I never had an experience like this in Berlin. If you read this : I think it is not the best situation to give anyone a "lecture" about speaking German you racist..

Sara Gutiérrez García: I have been to this hospital at eleven at night, through emergency door and I could have never imagined they would treat me so nicely and quickly! Also on the inside it is pretty new, it's easy to see they have very good equipments.

Hans Hartfiel: The staff were very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. Should I ever come back to Berlin and need some unexpected medical attention I will most certainly go there again.

Mr. J Rashdi: Very friendly staff and people can speak english.
Response: Hello Mr J Rashdi, Thank you for your positive feedback. We are very happy about it and wish you all the best. Best Regards Your team at the DRK Kliniken Berlin

Anastasia Yakoushova: I was calling and ask if they can speak English, the administrator just said “Ne” and hang up the phone. I was trying to call again few time, and nobody answer. It’s the worst part when you need emergency situation!!!!

St. Marien-Hospital Berlin: what do users think?

walid miakhel: We were here today in Emergency my mother was sick this clinic is disaster no one come to examine or at least to ask what is wrong they don't care about the patients. After half and hour in other rooma patients were shouting and nurses was just time passing with each other. when no one come to visit us we left the clinic with disappointment

Jürgen Schwietering: I brought my neighbor here after she suffered a home accident that required a whole bunch of stitches. Admission and treatment was really fast, everyone was very kind. They offered water even to me who was just waiting.

Hasan: This hospital is not so enriched

Andreas Sußeth: Okay

Level D: Was on 01.01. early in the morning in the emergency room. The nurses were very friendly and took good care of me. The treatment was immediate, what I reported was discussed, what medication usually helps me. Only the X-ray employee was so rude that he didn't even say hello. The lady at reception was also very friendly. Overall I was pleasantly surprised. Thanks for the quick help

Rina Zek: Had a very bad experience, my mother had to, despite a car accident and severe pain, wait more than 3 hours in the waiting room. It wasn't until I asked the doctors how long we had left have to wait, my mother finally became called. Would like to give 0 stars because this is not the first time.

L. W.: I experienced extremely friendly and loving treatment. From the preliminary examination to the operation and the subsequent aftercare by the professional nursing staff, I am extremely enthusiastic. Rarely have I experienced such human care. I would like to give special thanks to Station 1. Not to be forgotten is the friendly reception by the gatekeepers and the cordial and professional team at registration.

A. A.: Station 6 is an unreasonable station!!! Really bad. The staff is very rude and extremely racist. No matter what I did and did there, I was yelled at. I shouldn't touch anything! And can't I read that the kitchen is only for the staff, although your colleague previously allowed me to get a fork. So very bad. The eyes are rolled when you ask a question, you feel uncomfortable with the looks from the staff. There is no please and thank you. Apparently these people weren't taught manners. The patients are also treated very poorly. A cheek that these people were really allowed to enjoy their training in order to be able to deal with people who are sick later. Just the very last of this station and possibly the hospital!!!!

Claudia Hartwig: Some of the staff very unfriendly. Went to the emergency room doctor with my daughter because she fell and her wrist was causing her severe pain. The doctor was very rude and made comments that didn't work at all. It was very quiet there, so I couldn't explain where this stressed species came from. The Oflege staff were also very outspoken among themselves.

YazzieBee2012: For the second time in a year I was turned away with the information that I would have been better off in another hospital with a specialist department. In both cases and hospitals that I visited afterwards, I was assured that the emergency room at St. Marien could have done this and that it made absolutely no sense to send me away. They even tried to scare me this time that I would have to be admitted to a department as an inpatient. Total nonsense by the way... due to my quick visit to the emergency room, I was treated well and sent home! Honestly... it's best to leave the ER alone and go straight to another hospital. Saves nerves and time !!! Definitely not recommended... well maybe if you have private insurance or if you have such a crazy emergency that brings in a lot of money!

Alexianer St. Hedwig Hospital: what do users think?

Jerry: Hands down, best hospital in Berlin! Came here with an appendix and 40° fever, got surgery within 3h of arriving. They are taking such good care, it's crazy and I'm state insured... They speak English and German! Super friendly, super helpful, good food choices, couldn't have chosen a better hospital to go to! Great, experienced and caring doctors! So happy, thank you to all of Alexianers Hospital Staff! Special thanks go out to Dr Schultze, Dr Lorenz & Dr Scholz as well as nurse Vera, Simon and Martin ❤️ if you ever go here, ask for them ;) One nurse was bad, disliked her comments and behavior... I guess every hospital/station has to have one 😅
Response: Dear Jerry, Thank you very much for your very good rating and your kind words, which I am very happy to pass on. Kind regards A Steinfort Quality and Complaints Management

Andrada Predescu: The people working at the ER are the proof that Doctors with a capital D still exist. I was there three times and not only they did their job by treating my wound carefully, they also were very empathic. A rare thing in the german medical system. THANK YOU, keep up the good work!
Response: Sehr geehrte Frau Predescu, herzlichen Dank für Ihre freundlichen Worte und Ihre 5* Bewertung, ich leite dies sehr gerne an das Team der Notaufnahme weiter. Kind regards A. Steinfort Qualitäts- und Beschwerdemanagement

Alina Jeffery: Simply excellent! Was in June 2019 2x on station 1 for urological-surgical interventions. Thank you for the nice and friendly treatment! Very important: you are definitely perceived as a human and not an object for making money as in other hospitals in Berlin. If urology, then only the SHK! Thank you very much!!
Response: Dear Mrs. Jeffery, thank you very much for your friendly words about our hospitel. With best regards A. Steinfort Quality Management

Angel Sh: One of the best hospitals I was. was there 2 days for appendix surgery. Professional doctors & nurse team, everybody were so kind, nice and passionate even that I couldn’t speak german! The hospital is very peaceful and clean. Thank you!!!!

Alison Mc Keown: Waited for 6 hours with a lot of pain. After 6 hrs I decided to ask if they forgot me. Then asked me to give a sample that I already gave and 5 minutes later a doc came finally. Lied to my face that they are super busy. Desaster!
Response: Dear Mrs McKeown, I'm sorry you had to wait so long and were unhappy with the emergency room staff. I will forward your lines accordingly, these will be discussed and evaluated internally. Kind regards A Steinfort Quality and Complaints Management

Alan S: Very straightforward experience and I had no trouble getting into the ER and getting treatment with my travel insurance. I also waited around 10 minutes in total, granted it was a Sunday and there were not many people at the ER. Almost all the staff I interacted with spoke English and the one that didn’t tried very hard to be nice to me and descriptive. Much appreciated service and attention. Thanks so much.
Response: Dear Alan S, Thank you for your kind words and your great rating of 5*, we are very happy about it. Kind regards A Steinfort Quality and Complaints Management

Derya Çiçekçiler: The emergency service is very slow, very few people work, I went to pain due to urinary tract pain and they made me wait for 4 hours even though the emergency room was empty. I will never come again. Also, the nurses don't speak English.
Response: Dear Derya Cicekciler, I am sorry that you were not satisfied with our service in the emergency department. Our patients are assessed with the so-called "triage" in different levels of urgency of the treatment and after this the treatment is carried out in the emergency room. In addition, there may be delays due to emergencies (patients who come to us via the fire brigade). Kind regards A Steinfort Quality and Complaints Management

Jez Ponciano: Had a really pleasant experience here. I was attended and given proper care immediately. The staff are nice and warm. I came around 10pm and everything was done within an hour - consultation, xray, emergency treatment, meds and medical notes.
Response: Dear Jez Ponciano, We would like to thank you for your kind words and the 5* rating and wish you good health. Kind regards A Steinfort Quality and Complaints Management

Adwaithaa Vasanthan: I took my friend to the ER here because of horrible stomach pains and they responded pretty quickly which was good. Within 2 hours of being there he was told he would need to have a surgery to remove the appendix. We were told the procedure went well and he would be home in a few days. However, there was an abscess soon after and turns out they botched the surgery. He had to have another procedure to drain the abscess. Absolute nightmare. DO NOT GO HERE.
Response: Dear Adwaithaa Vasanthan, thank you very much for your information. I'm sorry to read that your friend developed an abscess after surgery. This is a complication that, unfortunately, sometimes happens. With best wishes for a speedy recovery, I remain Kind regards A Steinfort Quality and Complaints Management

Quynh PX Nguyen: This hospital is so great. I called before to make sure if I could go to the ER with my condition, the receptionist tried her best to speak English with me, and she was really kind. I was surprised because I got receptionists at other places hanging up on me when I ask them "Sprechen Sie Englisch" many times before. So I came to the ER, and the nurse and doctor promptly checked for my condition and performed the necessary tests. Thank you so much for your promptly treatment and amazing care.

Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin: what do users think?

Zee: I visited this hospital when my young daughter need emergency services. However, they did not have a Paediatrician (which is very strange) and redirected us to a different campus. The staff woman who coordinated with my wife during this was very polite and empathetic.

Di: Came there with strong pain from cystitis, fever and high leukocytes. Doctor prescribed me only herbs instead of antibiotics. When I was telling about my pain in the kidney she resisted it telling me that it was a pain in back, not kidney. The tone of speech was nervous and rude. I left crying from pain. My permanent doctor wasn’t in the city. At night I couldn’t endure the pain and started to take antibiotics which I had at home. They helped from pain after a couple of days but as it is expected they didn’t treat me till the end. I was believing several months that it was pain in back as doctor said. Now when I finally checked kidney and got all the analysis it appeared that it was an inflammation of kidney as I was saying. As I didn’t treat it when it was needed I got it more complicated. It is very said that in modern world you can be left without help, have to use self treatment to survive and get diagnosis after several months. It all could be easier for me if I wasn’t ignored at that day.

Andy Walker: Not quite sure what to think of them. My mum is there now with promises of an operation and didn't get anything to eat for two days, just painkillers. And in the evening she just got told: sorry, not today. And they just put her up anywhere and forgot about her. And now the weekend is upon them. Edit: There seem to be several places named "Charite" in Berlin. No idea where my mum was. Above happened for two long weeks. Then the operation, short and excellent. Then good food. And aftercare in a separate hospital for two weeks. And rehab and daily physio therapy in a third place for three weeks (no automatism, need to ask for everything, and need to know your choices, but it's all paid for by state insurance).

Hossam El-Nadi: you'd be doing them a favor by choosing a different hospital. they're overrun and they seem uninterested to do anything about it. they also won't give you any real or precise appointments because according to them "it's not possible", so it's completely normal to wait for hours for your turn. if you're ok with that, pack some snacks and drinks, you'll need those. POV: on my second appointment for a checkup after surgery and currently waiting for 1 hour+ despite having an appointment

Florence Heinen: I gave birth here two years ago and plan on giving birth to our second child here too. Great experience the first time, everyone was helpful and professional. Due to covid restrictions there were limitations on when my husband could join during labor/visitations, but this was not specific to Charite-Mitte. All hospitals had this restriction

Shequita Henery: If you are an American stay far away from this hospital. I went in there because I need stitches and left without it. There is a list of issues with this hospital so brace yourself. 1. Went through the emergency doors. They refused to let my husband in because he didn't have a covid test. (Like we are supposed go plan that someone would hit me off a bike. Btw. We both have 3 vaccinations but that wasn't enough) 2. The guard refused to speak to me only to my husband. (Excuse me) 3. Went in without my husband 4. Gave the lady my passport and my authorization information and she tells me go sit outside. So I'm like do you know how long it's going to be. (Remember my husband is outside in the rain) she then says no and flings her hands up and continues to put my stuff in the computer. She once again says go sit outside. I'm still calm and I'm like do you know how long it's going to take. This is where everything went left she then flings her hand in the air. No I don't. Why do you want to know. So I then immediately said oh no I'm not being seen here and walked out. 5. Image one blonde techican made me walk away. Her behavior was outright nasty down to your security guard. I will never recommend anyone to go to your hospital. Your staff's behavior is downright nasty and despicable.

Sh Jä: If you’re looking for the most horrific service in the world in an emergency room, that’s the right place. Zero sensitivity from the staff and a real lack of willingness to help. Try to avoid it as much as you can if possible. I waited 11 hours until a doctor saw me. It’s just a room with no connection to emergency.

Tarso Bessa: Staff is rude and arrogant, including doctors. If you need an emergency service, do not go there. They don’t have patience do hear you, they diminish your situation and try to make you guilty for being there. Several people were complaining about mistreatment in the waiting room It’s the worst experience I had in a hospital ever

Jonathan Farias: Unethical and indifferent. Don’t bother going to ER if you are a foreigner even if you have your eu health card or had your insurance take care of the appointment, they don’t care. Some lady will not let you speak and ask you for 100€ until you leave.

Alexandr Orlov: I will not write anything about the quality of services of those places that are located on the territory of this complex. My review is about the general impression of architecture, appearance and emotions that all this things caused in me. Charite is a clinical complex located in four districts of Berlin, and I was at one that is near the railway station by the river Spree: A very large fenced area on the territory of which there are many old buildings of different orientations. These are just hospitals, and buildings of individual medical specialties with laboratories, and administrative building, and, as I understand, there is a university is here too. All buildings are with beautiful old architecture. Sometimes quiet quickie work was encountered, such as the ugly painting of some walls, after which the color difference looked ridiculous. But overall, the complex left a very pleasant aesthetic impression.

Vivantes Humboldt-Klinikum: what do users think?

Costin: As a state-insured foreigner, I was brought by ambulance to this hospital for an emergency at around 11 PM. In a reasonable amount of time in the waiting area, someone from the reception desk made my file and later was taken to a free medical ward where two well English spoken doctors examined me. Due to my condition, I was hospitalized for the night. The room was clean and there was a nice breakfast in the morning. I took some specific tests by the nurses and was examined very carefully by the doctors. In the end, I was discharged before noon and complete paperwork about my tests and treatment were given to me alongside recommendations for future care. All in all, I have received very professional and careful medical assistance and I want to thank the personnel from this hospital for this. Keep up the good work!
Response: Good day, Thank you for your positive feedback! We are very pleased that you were satisfied with the quality of your treatment and your stay at the Vivantes Humboldt Clinic. Many greetings Your Vivantes quality management

Zuzanna Zygmańska: I had an ongoing miscarriage and went to the hospital to get things checked out. It was a terrible experience! I was examined by a very unfriendly doctor who was really insensitive (both physically even though I mentioned that what he is doing hurts and psychologically). He also became really mean when I told him I do not speak German proficiently and would prefer to communicate in English. On top of that he did not even bother to communicate what was going on during the procedure. I had to literally ask "did I loose the baby?" to actually learn this was the case. I did not hear "I am very sorry" or any bare minimum of what one should say in such a situation. They took my blood sample to check if I didn't loose to much of it, asked me to wait for the results in the waiting room for more than an hour and somehow lost the results, so they had to draw the blood for the second time and again asked me to wait for another hour or two. Not to mention, I was placed in the waiting area with a family who just welcomed a little baby while I was crying over the one I lost, which is an absurd!!! At no point was any psychological support offered by anyone in the hospital. I would not wish this to my worst enemy. Stay away from this place.

Anna Michael: My gynecologist sent me for a further check-up to Herr Dr. med. Zaher Halwani was not only late for 1 h and 20 mins for the scheduled appointment, he checked me for literally only few minutes, said I needed a surgery and left the room. I ended up asking many questions from a nurse but she could not reply to some of my questions as she was not a doctor. One week later I was operated in the same Gyn Humbold Klinikum. Minutes before the surgery I realised that the operated doctor who was saying hi to me was not Dr. med. Zaher Halwani but another doctor I have never seen in my life. No one ever told me that I would be operated not by Herr Dr. med. Zaher Halwani who actually checked me. After the surgery, 4 instead of promised 2 cuts were done, the operated doctor did not visit me for 2 days. I was all upset and wanted to know what was the result of the surgery. To all my questions nurses replied that the doctor would come when he would be free... 2 days later the operated doctor came over. The worst he told me: "I was not sure if you wanted to have children, but I operated thinking you wanted". I almost cried as I clearly stated that during my first and last visit to Herr Dr. med. Zaher Halwani one week before - SO SO UNPROFESSIONAL! It has been more than 3 weeks after the surgery, meanwhile 3 out of 4 scars got infected and I had to go to my Hausarzt, then back to this hospital to search for further assistant. I would never recommend Gyn department of Humboldt Klinikum. The whole experience was very unpleasant and unprofessional. I could see how doctors and some nurses did not care about me and other patients. Truly sad to be in hands of such 'professionals' as they literally decide themselves if we-women should or should not have children....without listening to us.

Olga Driglova: Absolutely great service and doctors. super professional Team , very friendly and feeling like home. 🌸🌸🌸 thanks for everything
Response: Good day, Thank you for your positive feedback! We are very pleased that you were satisfied with the quality of your treatment and your stay at the Vivantes Humboldt Clinic. Many greetings Your Vivantes quality management

K C: Staff is unfriendly, unhelpful, give you lots of attitude and do not give you the bare minimum you would expect from the hospital staff. They lost my health insurance card and gave me no treatment that I was promised. I spoke German and still treated like I was garbage 😔 I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Charisma Manalac: In May 2018, I have given birth to my daughter and the whole experience was great! Me and my husband did not speak German but that did not stop them from giving us the best care and ensuring that we understand everything so they even brought in staff that could translate for us. Though honestly there was one Doctor that I felt was not very pleased with my presence (lol) but that’s fine, guess you’re not everyone’s cup of tea. But the rest of the staff were amazing! My daughter couldn’t latch properly so the midwife even lent us their breast pump till I get my own from my insurance. Couldn’t ask for more. Godbless them! I am again pregnant and due in April and I choose to give birth here again. :)

Yousef Wehbe: Generally speaking, staff members were nice and helpful. However, if you don't speak German, don't even think to go there! Additionally, for the first time ever in my life here in Germany, power gone (yes electricity) for 4 -5 times during 4 hours, of which the first time of power cut lasted for about 1 hour!

Enrico Sanna: We went to the emergency room because a friend had a very scary synthom. We realized that it was empty, but thanks to that they received him quickly. Instead of making him the main important and urgent test the same night to verify if there was a risk of complications, they told him he had to be recovered. They didn't check if his health insurance was covered but made him 2000 tests leaving oddly for some days later the main and most important check (that resulted negative...). Food was very cheap and sometimes we had to ask many times confirmations about the allergenes contained to avoid him eating stuff that could have created other complications. Finally he kind of escape from there, after getting stomach sick, and because they couldn't find anything from the tests. As last, they very kindly propose him if he wanted to be brought home by an ambulance (in the test there was nothing)?!? Now I aknowledge they sent him a bill or more than 2300 euro home (for couple of days). Sincerely this whole story seems quite suspect and has very bad consequences for an honest and regular EU Citizen that was only very scared of being under risk of death and only because of that went in the emergency room of an hospital, trusting in their professionality and reliability.

INFERNAL MAYDAY: i have been 2 hours here and the doctor is still not here ....and no one wants to talk in english ..it's a prison and u have to pay 100 euros to get inside and wait forever ...i'd rather to die on a side road than be here again

Steven Wagner: HUGE waste of time, 5 hours in the waiting room for NOTHING

Jewish Hospital Berlin: what do users think?

Julius Stein: Shalom. Great service, friendly, even there were many visitors an Xray was done within 2 hours. In comparable hospitals the same service took more than 4 hours. Aside the doctor was cute and competent 😌Thank you.

Masaharu Nishiura: A bit of a mixed bag. You will wait extremely long, and staff look at you as if you're a ghost when you try to ask something, or when you need something. It also feels like no one wants you to be there. You can encounter one or two friendly doctors, but they seem mainly interested in crossing off some tasks, more for themselves than for you. Like simple procedures that are fun for them but don't necessarily help you. A door has greetings in English and Arabic and Turkish and some other languages but not Hebrew. I did not understand this. I am a Japanese man, but my ex wife is Jewish. She did not think that this hospital was very Jewish, or Jewish at all. They served salami for breakfast. If it was pork, it was not Jewish but if it was beef, it was touching cheese and not Jewish either. The general feeling you have as a patient is if you (according to television, I do not intend disrespect to history) are Anne Frank and you arrive at a camp and the guard says to you "hey, what are you doing here!?" Can you imagine? You are in a kind of limbo. I do not wish to give one star because after all some people were kind. But there was fecal matter on a pee bottle that was offered. That is not good.

Jennifer Seal Martin: Dr. Peter Dollinger is the Vascular Surgeon at the Jüdisches Krankenhaus Berlin (formerly at DRK Kliniken Mitte) and I cannot recommend him highly enough. He specializes in Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, and his cutting-edge knowledge, skill, and testing capabilities place him as one of the best in the world. If anyone has a question as to whether this might be the condition they are suffering from, this is the person to see.

Bart van der Boon: Until now, the nurses and doctors are very professional, friendly and helped me in English. Thankful for everything. Also quite a modern hospital compared to the Charité in Wedding.

Monika S.: I went to this hospital with, as I believed, broken foot and asked them to take an x-ray. The "doctor" spent a minute with me, looked at my foot and said that I needed to rest and that they wouldn't take an x-ray because it was apparently nothing serious. His attitude was very unpleasant. Long story short, my foot was indeed broken and it took me a lot of time to get proper help somewhere else afterwards. I'll never go to this hospital again. They know nothing about empathy and simpy aren't willing to help.

Mary (Mar): No disregard of the patient. I understand that, during the pandemic, many hospitals have had to make a lot of changes. But if I have an appointment booked for stationary treatment that will last for 3 months, then the least you can do is call the patient first. Leaving a voice message over 4 weeks ago just doesn't cut it. I've cancelled my flat, made certain arrangements at work and personal life to accommodate the long treatment. Only to arrive at the reception with all my bags and to be told that they had closed the ward. I had so much hope for the staff and the treatment there, but I've been left disappointed and kind of disregarded. It seemed to me that none of the doctors or staff even cared about my situation. I was now facing homelessness only because of their carelessness. The receptionist ended up throwing me out of the waiting room because they needed the chair for a patient who had an appointment in the ward. Thank you.

Gregory Muryn-Mukha: Have 2 times MRI and CT at the hospital. Each time the doctors and the reception stuff were really friendly and were speaking to me in English 🖤

Krishna Pterofractal Sivaranjan: I went to get an X-ray and the receptionist was incredibly friendly and patient with me. I can’t speak German and understand nothing but she helped me fill out forms and navigate the process to get a scan. My technician was also really nice. She didn’t speak any English but was patient with me as well. Very positive experience at the radiology clinic.

Arphan Omar: Great hospital, amazing doctors, nurses and staff

eli n: THE most worst hospital that I have ever been too !Don’t waste your time here !

Helios Hospital Berlin-Buch: what do users think?

Beatrice Denisa: Had an emergency and they were very attentive and caring. No question was a wrong question even if I was in a very bad state. Very friendly staff that’s taking care of you from the minute you walk in. Not only the doctors but also the nurses were speaking English very well and they were always by my side at every step until I went out. Other hospitals should definitely take notes from Helios. Thank you for everything guys, you really are a blessing!

Sally Underwood: Absolutely excellent. From the treatment I received as an emergency patient to the surgery, to the care on station B2-12 and the physiotherapy. I was impressed with, and had complete confidence in, all the staff I met. Even the food was fine. I have a Trimalleolar fracture - it looked like nothing - hardly any pain or swelling after the accident, but the CT and X-Rays showed multiple fractures which had to be pinned together. In my case, they used a protocol of immediate weight-bearing after surgery, which felt very scary, but there is a lot of research to say that this leads to a quicker and more complete recovery. The physio team inspired the confidence and strength I needed to start healing as fast as possible. Huge thank you to everyone on B2-12 (Accident-, hand-, and aesthetic- surgery ward) who took care of me.

Dylan Castillo: They kept me waiting for over 6 hours. At times the ER waiting room was pretty much empty, yet they would take over 2 hours (you could see the time they took on the screens) to call the next patient.

Mohammed Safwan Al Hasan: I had a slipping femur 12 years ago , had my surgery done in this wonderful hospital , the surgeon was really cheerful and helpful , the staff in general , the nurses and my physiotherapist they all made my 1 month stay there better. Thankful !!

Marc Bauer: unimaginable on how many levels the aftertreatment for surgery is bad in this facility. Starting with grumpy workers and as a nose surgery patient I got almost only milk products for eat which are known to be bad with respiratory issues. Also I didnt get the medication I needed for the night but instead a pain medicine that caused allergic reaction. Im not talking about the surgery itself but If you wanna heal don’t go here or just leave as fast as you can

Coenraad Snyman: I haven't heard anything positive, and when my mom goes for treatment for pain relief in her back, and comes home, weeping, not just for pain but the treatment, then is it even worth it. She went for the same treatment before at Maria Heimsuchen, they did it slowly and had her lay down afterwards to make sure everything was fine. Here, they jab her and treat her like a cow getting branded and rushed out.

shafighe hasani: the poorest hospital ever, i have been there for corna test and they have checked me and given me just antibiotics and now after one year they send me a bill of 570,93 euros and don't understan how much cost to test someone ????

Mimoshe 6: Worst treatment ever, I spoke on the phone and waited for a long time and it wasn't a problem, but after all the waiting I got an answer from someone who didn't speak English and then I waited again and I got a reply from a girl who was really mean, I kindly asked that I want someone who speaks English to answer my questions about a private operation You answer me with rudeness and disrespect, because I do not speak English, look for another hospital!!!!! And then she closed the call to me?!!!

Pol Foreman: They offer Covid vaccinations for which one has to first create an account on their site, then when the account has been created there is a repeating error and the appointment is cancelled. They could have used the same proven system as every other vaccination centre by using Doctolib, but no, they preferred to use their own failing system. I assume it's just because they want people's data to resell it somewhere, otherwise I cannot imagine why they'd do it like that. Stay away from this scam.

Hassan Ghasemzadeh: I performed a parotidectomy operation in the "HNO" section and stayed there 5 days to recover. The staff were very kind and care about patients. Most of them are able to speak english too which helped me a lot. The Klinikum have a nice environment. Free high-speed Wifi is also available. The quality of foods were good as well.
