Jackie Hibbert: First night in Berlin, booked ahead for this fab jazz club. Seated up front listening to Afro Cuban music. Great cocktails and a smooth vibe. Highlyrecommend🙂

Mircea Sulger: Nice place for a jazz night, good cocktails, value for money and nice staff. Recommend to book in advance if you want a seat in front of the stage.

Yuan Joyce: Wednesday night 9pm entrance fee is 2Euro per person. Usually pack before 830 so do arrive early to get seats. After 10pm have audience usual jam session

Dayner: Had a great time seeing a Latin Jazz band in this small venue. Nice cocktail menu as well. Best to make a reservation. One star removed for not accepting card.

The Hat Bar Berlin: what do users think?

Alfredo Marcus: Great vibe, cool musicians jamming. There’s a jam session every evening. I think it starts at 9pm, usually closes at midnight, lasts call 11:30. Cocktails are good bear in mind it’s not a Propper cocktail place where they take their time to craft them. They don’t even shake the sours, they just used hidden shaking smoothies blender. Anyways the waiters are nice and the musicians have the best attitude, one of them even came and chat with us for a bit.

Alaa Mahmoud: One of my favourite bars in Berlin! Live jazz music in the night with very nice musicians, good cocktails, warm lights, I love the atmosphere ❤️
Response: Thank you very much, dear Alaa Mahmoud, for a great review! We're happy that you're happy, and we're looking forward to your next visit to The Hat Bar!

Septi Dwisidi Hapsari: Small jazz club, there’s not too many cocktails choices but totally love the ambiance of the bar, they perform live jazz every night, if you are jazz enthusiasts, you’ll love this place. The place is usually crowded but the service is fast
Response: Septi Dwisidi Hapsari, thank you for the great review! We’re so happy you loved your experience and can’t wait to see you again soon!

Met Usa: A very cool bar under the train tracks with live jazz music almost (maybe) everyday. Great cocktails, good sounds system. Maybe they can improve their air circulation a bit better if they keep letting people smoke inside

Marcio Pezzo: The great band, outstanding cocktails and cool atmosphere make this a place one of my favorites in Berlin.
Response: Dear Marcio Pezzo, we highly appreciate your positive review!

Documentaries Short: The actual place is too small and unconfortably narrow shaped, isn’t cosy but soulless.Pretentious place, unreasonable prices, joyless staff. Good music indeed but Old-school jazz bar it is definitely NOT.
Response: Hallo, Documentaries Short! Since we are not sure if you are a real person who has ever visited our establishment, please contact us personally via email mail@thehatbar.de, and we would be happy to discuss the issue at your earliest convenience.

YAAM: what do users think?

Eire E: Cool vibes! Reggae music with chilling atmosphere with beer, African food, some clothing stalls. Nightclub part feels a bit of Thailand or south East mood.

Cezar Comorasu: Yaam is a place where you can feel like home. Not a really cozy yard, but there are lots of lovely people and amazingly deliciously barbecues. Nice!

Ya Ting Tsai: Place with nice view & hipsters. You can enjoy good vibe and beer here. However it might be a problem if you don’t like to be around cigarettes and sth more…As for food, I had some grill chicken there and it was quite nice but don’t expect the table to be clean 😂

Angel Eduardo Ruiz Villar: Best vibe ever. Something between hipster and hippie. Felt quite relaxed in this place. Incredible amount of options.

Annely: Good vibes, relaxed atmosphere. You can choose yourself the entrance fee (between 1-10€). Drinks are fairly priced, staff at the bar a bit unfriendly. Didn’t try the food.Relaxed place to hang out and smoke, seating area near the water was occupied by some animals

Brandon Braun: Some of the most flavorful food in Berlin. The jerk chicken spot was insanely good. The vibe here is great as well. Real down to earth people not some bougie fake ambience. What a gem!

Zig Zag Jazz Club Berlin: what do users think?

RedFox L: Small place but great vibes. Service is really good and nice. Better to get tickets in advance for concerts. Drinks are average, I had a flat fizzy drink, it seemed that the bottle was opened long time ago.

Shoaib Bhatti: The place is cozy and have a particular vibe to it. Lovely atmosphere. I went to attend jazz event. The band plays every Tuesday. First session was played by the band and it was amazing. For the second session after the short break, they let the new musicians to showcase their talent. Everyone deserved a round of applause.

Lucy Wendon: What. A. Fantastic. Place. I’ve sang jazz for most of my life (since I was 10) and have visited many jazz clubs in the UK and abroad. This club is my favourite of all time. Friendly service, AMAZING musicians - check them out seriously, Babylon Orchestra. WOW! Could have watched them all day every day. They had special guests, Ukrainian musicians playing with them along with an American drummer, Spanish trombonist…NEXT LEVEL AWESOME. We hope to visit again very soon. Also look out for the cool bar/pub on the corner of the block just before you get to Zig Zag for a couple of beers beforehand. The landlord is brilliant. Perfect 10/10.

Wendy M K Shaw: A sweet club with lovely staff and great music, what more could you want? Its decor has an excellent balance between clean and traditional, so you both love the ambiance and feel entirely at ease. Loved it, and definitely will go back!

idil öztürk: I have to say that I really love this place, it has a very warm atmosphere, friendly owner & staff and of course great music. It just feels like home with their cozy sofas, I missed their super funky soul Wednesdays especially with the one and only Ingrid Arthur. Will definitely be visiting again this August!

hussam ahmed: The music was great, the place is cozy, and the waiters are friendly. Really enjoyed my time. One thing that may be needed is adding some more cushions on the seats and the back seating area to make it more comfy. Setting upright 90 degrees for two hours is painful

Tracey Duncan: Great Energy in the place. An Awesome sound system. Big shout out to Mobbluz for a GREAT PERFORMANCE!! YOU GUYS ROCK!! B.A.N.G.!! B.A.N.G.!!! 🤩🤩 💥💥💥

Shashank Gudigar: Great vibes. A proper pub to enjoy a concert. You can enjoy your beer with the band playing! The staff were very friendly.

George Marmaridis: Nice sounding little venue. Terribly slow and rude service.

Stuart Reeve: I really enjoyed my visit here, I went to see a Band and the place was relatively empty, it had a very chill vibe and interesting people

Maria Meichtry: Love this place, the music was super good, the toilets were more or less clean, the only thing was that it was super Hot inside.

Christopher Lee Thomas: Great little location and staff was very friendly. Good selection of drinks as well.

Andres García: The place is exactly what you expect. Some decent bar, decent drinks. A bit low budget. But the bouncer is terrible, and they let about 30 people in front of us because they were with the DJ. I did about 1 hour of line and it was very negative to see a bunch of people skipping line. Aside from this, had a great time.

Prasad Gone: Wonderful old jazz bar where you can enjoy a locally brewed beer and live music in a buzzing and often busy spot. The decor is eclectic and really makes the place that bit more special. I suggest to reserve the table before the place busy during weekends.
Response: Thank you!

oğuzhan karacüllü: Small and friendly place for a jazz night. Dinner was also quite tasty. Your should definitely give a shot to steak. Also they had good wine opportunities. Only problem is service is slow and the place was really congested and crowded. Without reservation it’s impossible to find a table. Staff was friendly and they can speak English good enough. Recommend this place for a night out with friends.
Response: Thank you!

Frances Piper: Got the potatoes and schnitzel, potatoes all garlic and oily and herby, really delicious, comfort food with a guiness type beer. like a good pub with home cooked food. and kind staff.
Response: Thank you!!

Septi Dwisidi Hapsari: I suggest to reserve a table if you really want to sit indoor and watch the live performance. I had to sit outside and can’t really enjoy the music, but if you go with friends and just wanna drink and hang out, it won’t be a problem. Service staff were fast and attentive even though it’s full
Response: Thank you!

Cristina Delgado: I love live music and that was great, but the waiter ruined our experience there. Most rude person I ever meet. We raise the hand to call him, I think in a normal way when people can not hear because of the noise around, he arrived after a while and tell us “you are in Germany and you do not call waiters here with your hand, that is un-polite, next thing he says “welcome to Germany”, and then he says “you need to thank me because I say welcome”… at some point I thought he was joking as I could not believe what was happening. After that he ask us to order and we order food, his reaction was to say “did you ask me first if kitchen was open”… I couldn’t believe how a person like this is working as customer service.
Response: First I want to apologize for this person. I am deeply saddened to have someone like that on our team, but unfortunately I don't know exactly who is meant. Such statements are in any case not typical for us and unacceptable. Please don't judge us based on this experience alone.

Ignacio Gonzalez: Okay, chill place. Nice environment. Quality price okay for being german cuisine. Thr flammküchen was a bit salty.
Response: Thanks!

Soraya Maan: 12.11.22. Changed review. We used to love the bar, but the fact that the bar is not allowed to give tap water anymore is really a shame. Even if you order a few bottles of wine, which in every other bar in Berlin is very normal. You can really notice the bar personal is limited because of the wishes of the boss. One of my favorite bars in Berlin! Staff is amazing and the drinks are great. They can make any cocktail you like and the beers from the draft are very good
Response: Oh dankee

Christos Iliadis: 6,5 euros for a bottle of water is called STEALING. What is worse, venue room stings because of bad ventilation

Llival Jarari: Very nice place in great location with very interesting events

Dan Perry: One of my favourite bars! Staff very nice, very friendly and professional. They really love what they do! Amazing atmosphere, good drinks for good price, nice music, nice events! One of the best bars in Berlin!! Kind Regards, Merely Minds
Response: thank you guys ! Truly cannot wait for your next gig here :) xx

Oskar Kluge: I was at an event there which was really nice:)

Sanne Slijper: Great beers, funky wines, fantastic staff and cool events! Would go again, for sure!

Abhipsa: Cozy bar, great staff, nice room for standup comedy

Vera Cimino: Awesome staff, super friendly and helpful, not to mention the delicious cocktail selections and great craft beers! Table games available too to play with friends. My favourite Prenzie bar :)

Dilara Ekinci: My fav in the neighbourhood, with concerts, comedy shows and cozy atmosphere. The service and staff are also very friend:)
Response: It's a great pleasure to hear that you like it ☺️

Serçin Yilmaz: Drinks are average but music and atmosphere is overall good

경은 Grace Lee: We didn’t know the artist before we went to the bar but randomly and luckily catched the famous garry wiggins band!!! I recommend to make reservation before. it’s very packed inside and if you don’t make reservation, there is no chance to sit... Very nice Jazz-bar, quite expensive and crazily packed but it was incredibly nice performance!

Alla Tsymanovska: Varied menu with cocktails. No snacks. Here you can only drink and listen to music hehe

Alak Nanda: beautiful night with fantastic music! we came in close to 9pn and were happy to have found a place to sit. come in early if you want seating. small, intimate venue with great acoustics!

Amber: Only cash,no wifi,expensive price,little place,but good music

Simon Beckett: An intimate, cozy jazz experience. I think the cover ( €15 Adults, €10 Students) is very appropriate for the quality of the musicians they host. The cocktails are well made, however a tad pricey, but it does add to the overall experience. A lovely cocktail, outstanding music, and phenomenal evening for any night of the week. A must visit if you are in Berlin.

Çetin Haşar: You can enjoy high quality jazz and blues from all around the world. Make a reservation in advance. But do it online. They usually do not pick up the phone...

Jürgen Schwietering: Friday recording Jam session (Free Jam) oddly organized with huge pause which makes it pretty boring. On the good side, volume is very moderate because of electronic drums. Beginner to intermediate level. Good prices for draft and bottled beer but not much selection.

Cripple Knee Ananas Joe: great place for jamming on fridays!

Claudiu Cezar: Enjoyed the evening and met the celebrities of the night! Small but lovely, maybe could be a bit more fitting to more guests?

ChiLi Dilek: Love it! I feel very comfy and welcome!

Tina Kerstan: a truly magical place

Mohammad Elahi: Nice place with reasonable prices.

King Kong: Cool

Roy F: The music show was good. But there is not enough room to sit and sitting chairs and corner/wall sitting places are very uncomfortable.

Slavena Ruseva: Really good place - a bit pricey but it was worth it! Cocktails were great and the terrace was super cozy and quiet even though it’s a busy street outside. The deserts were good, too. Definitely recommend.

Tony Brock: The open air entertainment was good, but the upstairs bar prices were high and the personnel were rude and unproffessional. Never again!

Arunima Raigar: Nice atmosphere and really good drinks. They make fantastic cocktails!

Alex: Super relaxed atmosphere. Nice place to relax and enjoy your drink.
Response: Hello Alex, thanks for the kudos - I'll be happy to pass it on to the whole team as well. See you hopefully soon again at Quasimodo 🎷

Anne Bosveld: Nice place with very well prepared drinks. Nice live music as well!

Kjetil Nilsen: Awesome bar! Small but vibrant, yet a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Really good drinks, the bartenders are skilled. They have live music sometimes and the band we saw was awesome.

Steve Greenfield: Great small venue, I saw a stand up show here which was in English and pretty funny. Will go back. Also good size to try out material if you are a comic.

Dragos Ardeleanu: Amazing evening, amazing talented young band.

Aurélie Shapiro: Great little place with wonderful cocktails. But it’s narrow and crowded near the bar-watch out for pickpockets!

A.J.C.: Great wine selection, cosy place , recommended for a date

Lynn Beyrouthy: You have to come try their Arak, it’s a great atmosphere with the friendliest staff I’ve ever met. When I first visited this bar, I didn’t imagine that I would be coming back so often. The music, the atmosphere, the crowd, the drinks, I love it all. Somehow felt like home from the first visit. Thank you for creating this space

Ali Mustafa: Great place and staff, hosts events for migrants and oppressed people, very inclusive and colorful. The place for people from the global south

Yasmeen Daher: A charming place in the heart of the neighborhood. Highly recommended for spending a great time with friends accompanied by delightful music and delicious food and drinks. It is a great spot to work during the day in a quite atmosphere. A vibrant and friendly team runs this space and offers great shows, talks and events.
Response: Its very kind of you to share this lovely review <3 hope to have you here again soon. <3

Lamia Moghnie: Great place for a morning coffee and/or an evening drink with friends. I usually go there to work during the day. They also have amazing drinks and I especially like their white wine and Arak, and offer a variety of snacks. They also host music and cultural events!
Response: Thank you for your warm words :-) <3 we are waiting to host you again hopefully soon. <3

Hanan Toukan: This place is a gem and an oasis in a busy part of kreutzberg. Not only do the amazing collective of friends and artists that created this space serve the best coffee and Arak and Hummus in town, they manage to be both a daytime cafe and a nighttime bar by transitioning smoothly between both. Kids can play while their parents have their morning coffees and afternoon drinks, all under one roof! To top it all off and in typical Berlin fashion they also host art shows and talks as well as varied cultural events.
Response: Thanks for this heart warming review <3 Hoping to host you again soon <3

Dima Hamdan: Great place... friendly staff, excellent drinks, great live music and just very laid back and unpretentious, the perfect spot if you want to avoid the noisy parts of Kreuzberg!
Response: We are waiting to host you again! <3 thanks for the warm words. <3

Alia Mossallam: Beautiful place for children and grown-ups alike! Run by a wonderful team, an ideal space for workshops, cultural events, talks or drinks.
