The Greens: what do users think?

Praveen Mehrotra: The Greens is located very conveniently near Spree. Visited with family during an afternoon walk for some drinks. Their exotic drinks are simply superb and organic beer a must try. The indoor sitting area is matching with the title and they also sell plants. Loved this place.
Response: Hello Praveen, thank you very much for your kind words! We are happy to hear that our vision of coffee & plants is coming through and you enjoyed your visit and the experience. Thank you for appreciating our diverse menu and we are happy to hear that you had a great time with your family. kind regards your the Greens Team

Monika Monique: Great lemonade and tasty cheesecake. Service in English, no problems. I could recharge my phone there. A great, green place, giving shade from the heat. Toilets available. One of the very few cafes open on Mondays. Finding the place is a bit of a hassle because it is not situated directly by the Spree, inside there are no views towards the river.
Response: Hello Monika, thank you very much for your kind words and pointing out some specialties we are offering! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit and the experience. See you next time, hopefully? kind regards your the Greens Team

Bruna Garcia: It’s definitely a cute place with a great vibe. I had a coffee and a croissant and both were really good. I want to come back here. An advice for those who will come to The Greens: it’s kind of obvious, but try not getting here close to the closing hours, because you won’t find too many options to eat.

Nidhi Jha: Such a pretty cafe and I love the plants theme. You can also buy some plants here or enjoy coffee sitting in the room full all plants. Coffee tastes good too, its self service so you need to take your own coffee and drop the glasses after finishing off
Response: Hello Nidhi, thank you so much for your kind words and your recommendation. We are glad that you enjoyed your experience hat the greens - coffee & plants. Kind regards, your the Greens Team

Vladyslava Zadorozhna: One of my favorite coffee shops in t lhat part of the city. It is cozy and spacious at the same time. Their cakes and desserts deserve additional mentioning. Even not seeing the place, you can get there just following that tempting smell of the god-baked cakes. The coffee is just great, I've grabbed a pack of beans to make some filter at home as I could not imagine staring my day without that taste. Well, the last but not least, plants... If you are into urban jungle, brace yourselves not to spend your whole month budge on the Greens here, but you must grab at least a tiny cactus per visit, otherwise, living makes no sense 😅

Coen den Haan: A hidden place in Berlin. It's an alley where there's a little bar, a theater and a few other things. It's not a place you would easily come across as a tourist but it's worth checking out. From the outside you have to pay attention to where the door is. Look for the green terrace. This store sells coffee, some tasty things to go with the coffee and plants. The design of this place is nicely done. A lot of standing and holding is used. Besides that, earth tones are used inside the store which is nice with the green of the plants. There are some murals and so are plates everywhere. The staff is friendly and also speaks English. They are also well trained baristas. It's a small place and you have to get your coffee at the bar. You can then find your place in the establishment. We had ordered an iced coffee and a flat white and a brownie. The ratio of the drinks was good and there was a good taste to it. The brownie was really good. Good chocolate flavor but still nice and soft inside. For the rest, there was no music played inside the restaurant. All in all, a super nice hidden joint where you can get great coffee and something delicious.

Benjamin Kryze: The original look of this coffee start from the outside looking like an old industrial place. The inside is filled with plants, writing of coffee and natural facts and draws. The staff is very nice and they serve coffee as well as speciality. Really good place to go.

Henning Dahlén: We came by after 12 and they didn't have a lot of options to choose from but we settled for vegan croissant with tofu mozzarella. They were good. The place felt a bit off, which did come with the upside that it was extremely calm to sit outside, no cars anywhere. Over all good, but we felt like we would have loved a couple more options to choose from (though maybe we came at a poor time). Vegetarian options: Mix of vegan and vegetarian

Coni Marinelli: Nice place to have a coffee and a great moment during the afternoon. Perfect for a break during a touristic walk. Is hidden and the ideal spot for a tasty bakery with plants everywhere. 100% recommended!

Viktor D.: It’s a cozy place with a great vibe! I got cappuccino and a vegan orange cake! Both were super delicious! The prices are surprisingly good! I’d come around back for sure!

Café am Engelbecken: what do users think?

Arno Fry: Good place to enjoy the pond view on a nice day. View/location is perfect, food is alright but not too special. They offer a breakfast menu in the morning (around 10€) and Asian dishes from noon onwards. There is also a selection of cakes (around 4€). In spring you can see swans in their nest right next to the seating area. When the sun is out there are also turtles sunbathing on small platforms in the pond.

Gabriel Garcia Bustos: Visited the place for an afternoon coffee and ordered a latte with a sandwich/ toast. I would say it felt a little bit pricey. The view of the lake is great everywhere and it definitely helps the whole experience a lot (except if you seat inside of course). The staff was kind and helpful even when I only spoke English. Cash and cards where accepted.

Lorenz Chua: Beautiful view with good coffee. They also have a selection of cakes that were nice. A definitely must-go if you want a relaxed time over coffee.

Mayya Shcherbinina: Good view, and here all advantages end. Poor and tasteless interior, strange stuff, primitive dishes. I ordered the French Breakfast, they ran out of croissants (on Sunday, at noon, huh? Isn’t the time to eat croissants?). Instead they served a Brötchen (which costs 10 cents) and charged me the same price as for the original breakfast 😖

Mi Ry: We were there for a little stop during exploring Berlin. Café am Engelbecken is a very pretty place with a nice view. The service was super friendly and seemed to have fun working there. We didn't eat there, but enjoyed our refreshing beverages!Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

lionel vailshery (LSVailshery): Very friendly staff, hospitable and good service. The location is beautiful right next to a pond and the ambience is great very spacious indoors.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

M: Delicious food and large servings. Friendly staff and beautiful setting.

N A: A bit pricey for a coffee. Especially a double espresso! In the summer it is a nice place to sit though. Maybe better for a tea. Overall probably just sit around the lake

Abdelrahman Alhato I عبدالرحمن الحتو: The place is really pretty on the lake with ducks and swans.. my only issue is the high prices from the cafe

Camila Loureiro: Beautiful view and friendly staff! However, the food is quite expensive and not as special as the place and what one would expect..

Refinery High End Coffee: what do users think?

Pooja Chaudhary: I read on google ‘best coffee in the neighbourhood’ and I decided to go when I was in Berlin for a day and I was done with my work so I had some free time and I wanted coffee and a really good one. What I didn’t read was the ‘best cheesecake’ . It was actually the best coffee and alongside one of the best cheesecake I have ever eaten. And on top such smiling faces and amazing service.

Juhyun Schoebi: Flat white was quite good and according to my friend, cappuccino was okay. Muesli and scone were delicious. It was a nice cafe with cozy environment.

Emily C: Best cold brew I have had in a while (served with a cute glass straw) — highly recommend. Nice atmosphere, very clean Came for breakfast But they don’t have hot breakfast right now so I had a pastry which was also good.

Bruna Garcia: I was looking for a nice and quiet place to drink coffee around Friedrichstraße and saw this place with a nice rating. Well, I am glad I decided to stop by this cozy coffee shop. I had a Cold Brew, Pain au Chocolat and a cinnamon roll. Everything was delicious. I also experienced a great service. The staff is nice and helpful. I will definitely come back here soon!

Rebecca Lim: Came here for a bircher muesli, sandwich and a black coffee. Great quality stuff, highly recommend! Will take away some stuff for the rest of the day, a pastry and probably a hot choc

hagay isaak: I would put this place in the top 5 coffee places in Berlin.Nice selection of pastries, limited seating is available.

Alexandra Chung: Good coffee but below average cinnamon roll (way too bready and not enough cinnamon flavour) & chai latte (which is basically hot milk)… Would recommend just sticking to their coffee ☕️

Jimmy Aldjah: Nice coffee, had a flat white wit oat milk.Friendly and fast service. Free water available.

Manasi Alexandru Dan: Cozy specialty coffee place with wonderful chill atmosphere and very nice made flatwhites.

Jacob Helbig: This café probably makes the best coffee I've had in Berlin. Not just that, it's at a pretty competitive price! Not just that, but the staff is really friendly and recognized me after the third time or so that I came there. Oh, and the music's great. Come here! Tip the staff! It's an *awesome* place!

Café au Lait: what do users think?

Martina D.: Lovely place for breakfast. It's always super busy and might take a while for the order to arrive. But it's great prices for traditional but also fancy brunch and breakfast dishes. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian and vegan options available.

Sophie Wachholz: I went to the Cafe au lait a couple days ago with my sister. It is a small, cozy and undoubtedly loved my many here in berlin. It was very full and quite chaotic during the prime time of their opening hours. They have great breakfast offers for a relatively good price. As a student, it should be no problem to reach satiety here. The waiters were all very kind and the atmosphere was very relaxing, as soon as there were less customers in the cafe. The food itself was good but not spectacularly awesome. The portions were definitely generous and both my sister and I were very satisfied at the end of our stay. Sadly, they only take cash payment but luckily there is a ATM close to wilmersdorfer str.

Bhavya Linganna: Amazing French cafe for a classic brunch at the corner of U-Bahn Wilmersdorfer Straße. They accept only 💰 cash, so to enjoy the delicious food here make sure to have cash (Bargeld). Brunch was so filling, they give you variety of things on plate with a warm croissant 🥐 , bugett and bread 🍞. I loved the cheese options in the menu. Reasonable price for a brunch for couples in a very tourist and a busy area. Highly recommended

Zane Pointon: Actually very impressive given that it’s in such a dense retail area. The food and drinks were great but a little on the pricey end compared to most cafes. I’m definitely stealing their fried eggs/tomato/feta cheese recipe for at home :)

Arlette Landon: I love this place, is delicious and cozy. The only thing I don't like is that they do not accept credit card :(. Otherwise is perfect!

JJS: Had the pancakes with caramelized apple, it is tasty. Service are overwhelmed at times but still friendly. Recommend to reserve a spot especially during weekends as it gets really crowded throughout the day.

Sneha Navale (TheBombayBerlin): Loved loved this place.. it's like stricking the right cord.. Breakfast with ambience, good feel and music. What else does one want. Yes a good friend in front of you.

Dorsaf Bouchrit: Best hot chocolate ever!! Nice cake and coffee! Nice staff. The place is cozy and calming

R T: Very modern. Freshly prepared food and drinks in front of your eyes by the staff at the counter. Makes the place a little noisier. Friendly service. Nice food.

Ruchira Bafana: Fine decorated, tasteful with good seatings. Friendly service, good variety of menu especially for a fine breakfast. They have vegan option for smoothies and milkshakes too. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

What do you fancy love?: what do users think?

Sofia S: Yes, I’ve had better bagels, better coffee, and better juices in Berlin, but I don’t think that’s the main selling point of this place. The food is okay. But it’s the place that takes the points. Not really cozy, but unique, and full of fresh flowers. And maybe I’m biased because I love flowers, but it makes me want to just sit here and sip on my very average coffee for hours on end.

Robert Holt: I fancy this cafe, love. Very busy, so not quite the "cozy" feeling some might be looking for, but this was neither here nor there for me. The food was fantastic (avocado bagel), the coffee was great (a simple mocha for me), and the staff were friendly, helpful, and quick.

Susanna Lüßen: Seems more like an overpriced tourist place. Long queues for ordering and very expensive. The bagel was fluffy, filling was also good. Yet for the price I would have expected a bit more than the standard. Coffee was okay yet I had better ones. Juice the juice indeed is delicious. Behind the counter it seems rather narrow which limits processes and causes delays. You order inside, then have to wait for your coffee to take it out yourself and the food will be brought to your table. When you go there bring time and money. I rated with 4 stars because my expectations where lowered as I read the reviews here before and knew what to prepare for. Otherwise, I can imagine the experience to be rather disappointing. If there is a decent reason for higher prices (inflation is not accepted) like special quality make those visible to the guests. Make it clear for them which value they get for this price range :)

Bhavya Linganna: They have very healthy menu for brunch with cool music. I loved the staff they are just lovely. They do accept card payment.

Warren Hou: Lovely cafe, cute ambience and great chicken bagel!

Elisa Lomonte: NICE CAFE BUT TOO PRICEY + NO WIFI Popular cafe with cool atmosphere & healthy food - broad choice of smoothies & tasty bagels. Great for both breakfast and brunch. Keep in mind that: 1) WiFi never works; 2) prices are far too high! - too pretentious for locals who don't like to feel treated like tourists ; 3) the staff looks a bit uninterested/bored. What a shame for such a cute cafe...

Vicu Starna: The coffee is amazing. The cake was good. The place is super cozy.

Cassandra Teo: Great bagels. Long queue but clears fast. Hard to get seats during midday though. Lots of kudos to the staff for working efficiently. Coffee is on the milky side.Recommended dishes Brie & Walnut Bagel …More

Murat Sümer: The food was not fancy as much as their name. Bagels were just ok.

Justyna Komuda: Place have a cool alternative/vintage style. I came here cause I saw on menu that they have syrups for coffee and I was craving for a sweet coffee longer time. Sadly they have only caramel and vanilla, so nothing "fancy". Coffee was good, but I have to admit that prices here are quite high. Latte machiato 3,6 + 0,8 for syrup it's to much. Also juices and shakes 4,9-5,5 it's not really appealing. I would say: if you're passing by, you can come, but not on purpose.

Café BilderBuch: what do users think?

Guido Kuhn: Very nice location and famous for its breakfast in an individual atmosphere with old furniture. It is like being in a big room with different living rooms with different styless. Prices are very high but worth to pay. Often live piano on Sunday and different artists showing their paintings and if you like, you can buy.

Ghassan Zein: A hidden gem to a beautiful cosy experience, you feel like home! Make sure to ask for a table in the inside area where the magic is. The lady there is super friendly and took really care of us. Desert was really good and coffee was better! Definitely a 5!

Alon Bruce Revsin: This is one of the most atmospheric spots in Berlin. It feels like a classic coffee place; with antique furniture - especially in the back! It looks absolutely gorgeous. It’s okay for coffee, but the food isn’t great and the service isn’t always friendly. But it’s still a place that’s worth a visit, if only for the atmosphere and the coffee. It’s even nice for an evening beer or wine

Marleen: menu is hard to read/understand. can pay only in cash

Hanz: Café BilderBuch is a bit of hit or miss. They have some really good food but the service is sometimes a tad too slow. Maybe it is in the concept of slow food, which is not bad per se. Just don't make the same mistake I've done a couple tons by coming in already hungry. The käsespetzle is great! That being said, the service is friendly. Once I accidentally ordered a grog and they were willing the exchange it for something I actually wanted, which was not required because I got curious about the grog and ended up enjoying it a lot. They also have live music sometimes as far as I understand. They have been only taking cash for a while now, can't remember if I've ever paid with card here, maybe not.

Joosep: The food was okay and not sure if the place was full but the service was just very slow. Also, you can't pay with card, only cash

Laurence Barnes: Really lovely cozy Cafe, a perfect place to escape a cold winter day, or spend relaxing over brunch on a Sunday. The atmosphere is romantic and chilled, without being cliche. The staff are very warm and welcoming. And the apple pie is very delicious

Sofiya Marinova: Bad food for the price you pay. The atmosphere is kind of nice. I ordered a brunch with fruits and veggies. The fruits contained grapes and apple that have obviously gone bad but the bad side was hidden. The bread is the most simple Brötchen from the shop. The food is very simple and not particularly tasty, there is nothing extraordinary that makes you want to especially go there.

Julie: I am drawn to this place by its nostalgic interior design and the extremely spacious room in the back of the cafe. But the Nachos I ordered was disappointing. It was served when the cheese on top wasn’t even melted. Tasted horrible.

Dr. Dr. Immanuel Fruhmann: The Café BilderBuch is a Berliner institution located right in the center of the nice and fancy neighborhood Berlin-Schöneberg, one of Berlin’s most elegant neighborhoods also when it comes to well-restored old buildings built more than 100 years ago, during the times of the German Empire. And so is the Café BilderBuch, a posh and elegant coffee-house, full of vintage furniture, sterling and ceiling ceilings as well as a very nice rear part of the café, where it sports even book shelves. This contributes to the cosy bookstore café atmosphere of the Café BilderBuch. There is even a stage and live music in this rear part of the café, in which we experienced great German music performed by a local Berliner band. So the Café BilderBuch is also a good jump gate for local bands on their way to become famous. And here at Café BilderBuch the food is great as well. You even can get breakfast until 23:00 (11 pm), yeah seriously and officially. Though I had my breakfast way earlier, meaning midday, I decided to have a special breakfast and therefore chose the “Tausend und eine Nacht” (The Arabian Nights), which is an oriental breakfast with olives, sheep cheese, various other sorts of cheese, cucumber, salad, and this special Turkish salami with garlic called Sucuk. I had it together with a cappuccino. Yummy! At another visit we had a tasty tuna baguette and a salmon baguette in the rear part of the Café BilderBuch, which is full of sofas and couch chairs and of course plenty of books in book shelves. Therefore this café is called also library in its subtitle. So all this together with the nice and friendly staff gives a very good atmosphere to get into your flow or mojo, you name it. So when you are in Berlin make sure you visit this jewel! From Berlin with Love! Dr. Dr. Immanuel Fruhmann

Café Kalwil Berlin: what do users think?

mgblanchard: Best breakfast in Berlin. This quaint, little gem is in the heart of the gay district and is run by locals. Inside is adorned with old fashioned queer icons; it’s quirky and unique. The food is plentiful and tasted delicious. Glad we stumbled across it during our trip - highly recommended.

Bruno Peres: Nice breakfast option. Cool decoration and nice customer service. Plus, very cleaned and organized spaces 👌🏼 Make a reservation. After 11:00 on a Saturday is super crowded and you may expect a delay on your order. Mine was super fast and the waitress was so lovely even with my poor German 😅 I got the option for two people. It’s well served, normal bread and croissants, nice selection of cheese, ham and salami. Orange juice included and coffee is not included. Considering similar options in other regions in Berlin, e.g. Pberg and Mitte, you can pay less. All together was 41€.

Adrian Gorski: Five star. Very good breakfast/brunch set, quick service, good coffee. Nice buffet selection of jams to accompany your coffee after savory breakfast. €18 bill for large breakfast and coffee for one.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

William Gamboa Sierra: Excellent pace to have a lovely and fancy breakfast. The place is beautifully decorated and the food is great. The prices are fair in relation to the quality. Highly recommended!!

Reza Motmaen: One of the best Cafe in Berlin. Engrossing place, so friendly, nice attmosphere, the breakfast option for 2 persons, has a very satisfying portion. I attached a photo from a "breakfast for two persons" option that they served for us.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Ramon Moorlag: Good location for breakfast. Very nice decoration, high quality food. Sadly, actively pushing for tips/trinkgeld. It makes the entire experience cheap. I paid 16.50€ for 2 brötchen, 1 croissant, sliced salmon, scrambled eggs and a cappuccino. 5 starts when the tipping is excluded.

Steve Murray: Food was tasty but service was poor, literally drinks and food thrown at table, made feel like WE were wrong when they gave the wrong order. And absolute rude as hell when paying for the bill. Do not bad mouth your customers to other customers WHILE they are stood at the till paying. There are better places in Berlin, don't visit this place

TheLittleGenius soFly: great cake! It is very easy going and as an addition to the wonderful atmosphere, there is a cute house dog that sleeps most of the time but sometimes comes by to get some pets :)Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Adrian Lim: One word: service. Non existent. Practically waited 15-20 mins to be ‘acknowledged’ and when did, told that the seat is reserved. It would have been easy to pass the menu, coffee to us, say I’ll come back to you in 5-10mins and take a simple order for breakfast. Where is the service etiquette? I don’t care how nice and wonderful your food is but if you’re in the service industry, put effort into this word!

takis papas: The place is lovely outside (inside is very special and beautiful), the very friendly young waiter doesn’t speak much english but that's not a problem. Food is simple but tasty and well cooked. Unfortunately we ordered still water and the bottle came open and seemed re-used many times….7 euro for that “bottled water” by the way….
Response: Sorry but that is a very serious accusation…. We always open the bottles because there are heavy to open for our customers and is normal in our country You could have asked for another bottle by the way…

Café Fleury: what do users think?

Jeannita Anton: Cozy atmosphere, many seats and of course good foods. So recommended. We had French Toast, Dindon and Omelette mit Speck.

Mike N: A lovely french cafe with friendly staff. The array of French breakfast choices is amazing and would absolutely recommend this cafe for a lovely dine in breakfast experience. Gets full quickly on weekend mornings so be ready to get in early!

julius giersiefen: I found a plastic piece inside my salad (photo attached) and when I talked about to the guys who work they seemed that didn’t care a lot.. actually his reaction was that ”it’s happening sometimes“ :/ sadly reaction because I really liked the Café….

Roel G: Very nice restaurant! For breakfast, I recommend the breakfast for two. Good service and very polite. It was a busy day, but still they helped us quickly and happy!

Tim Fahlstedt: The only place in Berlin I've eaten at twice so far. Really good breakfast and cozy atmosphere outside in the sun. Highly recommended having breakfast here!

Noah Sugarman: Cozy cafe with great breakfast food, coffee, and people watching. The mixed cheese plate was fresh and delicious 😋

Alexis Bednarczyk: Lovely cute places, with nice and fresh product. The service isn't the best system as for people waiting for a table would need more taking care of. Despite that, you will like it all from the vibe, the kindness of waitress and the food specially the breakfast!Food: 4/5 | Service: 3/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Andreas Schmidt: Very nice. Quiche. Coffee. And everything else you always wanted for breakfast but were too afraid to ask for.

Cris Charneca: Very attractive ambiance outside with nice esplanade.Inside is noisy and full but cosy. Not a very wide choice of pastry and sandwiches are expensive, but good if you want a little bath of socialising and do not need to have silence to work while you eat.

Kasch Invacanza: always one of the best breakfast cafes! super delicious sandwiches, croissant and coffee specialties. The staff, especially the boss, is nice and helpful, the prices are totally fine. Get there at 9:00 a.m. at the weekend, otherwise you won't find a free table... Special tip: Toast du roi.

Café M: what do users think?

Golsa Na: Lovely small cafe, very homey feeling to it, super cute vintage furniture and a lovely staff, also I can recommend them if you do no caffeine! Easy access for people with wheelchair! And great coffee ☕️

Shanee Beery: I used to love this place, however, my last visit was very disappointing. Barrista had no proper milk frothing skills as seen in pic, and the cake wasn't tasting good. Moreover, slice was fairly small and the couple after me in line got a slice double the size of mine, literally. A business should be consistent and it wasn't so. I hope you guys get better Barristas again

Diana Abdo: A fine, cute and small cafe, seems to be very popular, because had problems with free seats. The interior is pretty cozy. Good coffee 👍🏽

Sebastian Engbrocks: I recommend not only the cake, but especially the sandwiches they prepare every morning. 😋 The owner of this tiny Café lives in the same building right above the place. Nice guy, always up for a chat - just like the employed baristas. ☕️ 4/5 stars because I always complain about “cash only” venues that still use physical loyalty cards printed on paper. So Berlin… 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ta Lo: Calm outside, cute vintage furniture, very tasty carrot cake3.8, coffee taste normal. Latte3.50,cappuccino 3.0€.

Mr Stone: Really small cafe. The Coffee was delicious and the brie roll was super tasty. They did not have service outside on a holiday but there was also only one person working and everybody was super friendly. If you want delicious coffee go here, if you search for a full breakfast experience go somewhere else.

Kerman John-Albujas: Excellent. Coffee was on pint. The milk well skimmedJust what one South American coffee lover looks for and the carrot cake was moist and had a delicious orange accent.

Sah Kilic: Excellent coffee, excellent pastries, excellent service. Perfect for getting some work done with some fast internet in a cosy atmosphere. Coffees are from 1.8 Euro to 3ish, very reasonable for the quality!

carla brunowsky: Outstandingly delicious coffee and homemade cakes, about 90% organic ingredients (according to owner) and a relaxed vibe - what more could anyone want on a sunny summer morning?

Martin Blažek: average coffee, surely you’ll find much better coffee in Berlin.. personal was also strange - we did not know if we are bothering her or she is glad we are there. disappointment.

1900 Cafe Bistro: what do users think?

Athar Abu rukun: Nice place to eat breakfast with friends or family. Very good service and delicious food. They don’t have soya milk but the Syrian guy was so welcoming, that’s mad us feel home 🌷

Елена Левина: Tasty food and polite service. English menu. There aren't much space inside but there are tabels on the street. Not big but various dishes. I liked this place. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian dishes.

omotosho busayomi: The order to table time was really long and when it came, it wasn’t the complete order. If you are not a fan of coconut shavings, request it to be exempted from the pancakes. Definitely could be better.

Rebecca ter Borg: Really nice place for breakfast. It has a good price for the amount of food you get. It is just that the portions could be a little bit smaller and in that case cheaper. My friend and me were both not able to eat 1/3 of the food, which is a lot of food waste. Vegetarian options: Vegan breakfast

Josue Villamar: Cute small cafe next to Savigny Platz on the way to Ku’damm. Egg Benedict’s were nice, I wish I was asked to select the type of bread. Overall it was nice, staff was very friendly. Tried the pancakes as well really good German style ones. Eggnog not so eggnogy it was Hause recipe but it was very liquid almost milk like, it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t eggnog

Dorina Achelaritei: That was the best cheese cake I had eaten in years - I'd go even further and say the best I've tasted in Berlin!! The plum sauce was a marvellous touch - congrats!! The Streuselkuchen was also amazing - nice works, you guys! Considering it's not so easy to find TRULY tasty cakes & pies in the bakeries of Berlin, Café 1900 deserves my sincere applause! 5 stars also thanks to the so friendly service! We'll be back :)

Stephen Prust: Lovely little cafe, we stopped in for breakfast on two days, warm welcome and good food. The cakes look amazing! Booking is a good idea as it is small and it is popular. Note it is cash only.

Michael Andreasen: A very Nice cozy little cafe. Good food, Nice coffee. Beware in the mornings it can be very busy and sine its a small place your order can take a While. But the staff and running double speed to keep up 😊 friendly and smiling People here. Also note they only take Cash!💶

Sandra Harmjanz: Cosy cafe , lovely food and great service

Calorie Wise: Nice breakfast cafe with quite a traditional choice that is however served with flair and chic. The decor is super cute. Their warm bread is delicious!

Rausch Schokoladenhaus: what do users think?

Dhia Abbassi: I went to the ice cream side of shop. The ice cream quality is amazing for very fair price I would say. I tried the pistachio and mango flavours I can't stress enough the quality and how authentic the taste is. It felt eating real raw fruits. Pistachio is usually not my 1st choice but in this Shop is a must try. It's a sicilian pistachio and the taste is really good. I definitely recommend it and I would come back again. 🍨🤤

Sofia S: One of my favourite places to take guests when they are visiting Berlin. And it does not disappoint. Been here quite a few times, and every time it has been a memorable experience. I would recommend the white chocolate cake, as shown in the picture. Try to get seated near the window and you can also enjoy the view. But regardless, you’re guaranteed an excellent cup of coffee / hot chocolate and some grade A desserts.

Mafundi Ngozi: This is one amazing chocolate place. Still sad they stopped being available in supermarkets but definatly worth a visit. Small awesome cakes and everything really tasty (if you like good chocolate). Sometimes a bit of waiting time is required though to get a seat.

Traveling Heels: Amazing chocolates! Heaven on earth! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Excellent flavour and amazing variety. Their coffee is good too, and their liquor’s superb. Their store is one of the best ones in Berlin, worth a visit.

Phil Bennett: Wow, just wow! A chocolate lovers' paradise that will match anything you will find elsewhere in Europe. The pralines are just sublime and a visit to the cafe is a must for the best ever hot chocolate - but worth booking in advance.

Rachel R: We were lucky to get into this place without a reservation, didn’t realise it was such a hot spot to visit. The chocolate drinks and little cakes all looked delicious, and the ones we had were amazing. A bit pricey, but that’s to be expected in one of these places. Felt like the staff were a bit overwhelmed with the number of people at times, was hard to get their attention, but I appreciate the great work they were doing.

Eva: There's a large variety of chocolate, also lactose free but not sugar free. There's a restaurant on the third floor. Nicely decorated worth a visit 👌 and the chocolate is really good. Not cheap

Mayur Bhakta: Amazing chocolate store and experience. I ordered a torte and iced mocha. Both were amazing. The 3rd floor cafe is an experience. I could spend the whole day eating cake and watching out the window. I wish I could have came back and tried more things. This is a must visit place in Berlin.

Kshitij: Best chocolates in town. This is centrally located and very near to unter din linden. It’s large chocolate shop with cafe and icecream shop. You can see them making chocolates. Prices are on higher side but worth it

Aiden Low: Amazing service and I loved the chocolates here. Great place to get food souvenirs from Berlin for home! I felt like a kid walking in here and checking out the chocolate bar

Chapter One Coffee: what do users think?

Anat Lev Hacohen: This place will make you irresistible to high-end coffee!Fantastic taste, lovely service. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Sonia Ran: I wish they had more seating. It got a bit hectic on the weekend. Nice coffee, I had a flat white with oat milk.

Bjorn Hauksson: The best coffee in Berlin!Recommend their two portions of filter, Colombia origin.

Vedat Dicleli: Hipster coffee place, cool minimalist decor and espresso with distinctive flavour. Less intense and fruity versus a stronger and more bitter espresso in Italy a contrast

N P: Possibly the best flat white I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. I felt sad when it was over. I live in Kenya and grow coffee, didn’t expect the best espresso drink of the year to be in Berlin! I need to up my game. These people are true experts 🙇🏼‍♂️

Wooyong: My favorite cafe in Berlin! Barista is professional and gentle. He always keeps smile and brings customers good mood!Latte and filter are really nice!Taste:💛💛💛💛💛(5 stars)Service:💛💛💛💛💛(5stars)

Dom: An unique coffee experience not only in the taste, but also the way some types of coffee are presented. Definitely a hipsterish café with many interesting people around. The choice of coffee is good and the taste delicious. Not too bitter and perfectly smooth. Staff was friendly and polite. All was served quickly. The atmosphere is cool! Prices are on avarage, depending on what you take. What I like is that water was offered. Try it out, it's worth it.

Julie: Well trained and friendly staff. A bit pricy than other coffee shops around (one filter coffee plus one pastry 5,60€). But the great atmosphere compensates it. Kind of a hipster coffee shop hiding in a quite alley.

Maximilian v. K.: Pour over from Columbia was extra ordinarily well balanced and such a nice sweetness. It was a very well brewed coffee. I would rate five stars if chapter one would deliver consistent results but when I was one week later full of anticipation of getting served this amazing filter coffee again It just didn't taste as good as the week before. It's an overall really nice coffee place. I can fully recommend it also the pastries.

Fatih Etke: When la marzocco leva 90 meets with coffee beans you get the best taste of espresso. Atmosphere is amazing. Well experienced baristas, One of the best coffee and machine, Affordable price, Possible to sit outside, The main reason for 4 star is structure and interior of place. If you are coffee lover, you should visit this place.

Café Katulki: what do users think?

Sílvia Mota: A very relaxing and cosy atmosphere! Café Katulki quickly became my favourite café in Berlin. I absolutely loved my vegan sandwich made with beetroot hummus, and the flat white coffee I had was perfect. The vegan pierogies are a must try! Delicious! A perfectly marinated beetroot salad was served alongside with it. The sausage sandwich is a tasty option for meat lovers. Also, the homemade cheesecake is delicious! Everything is served on a very cute porcelain tableware. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Dexter P: The cakes are really good. We had a chocolate and lemon cake. The owners are very friendly despite the rush hour.

Christoph Magerl: At Katulki you get amazing cakes for your afternoon coffee. As a Polish-inspired cafe, you also get delicious pierogi for lunch. The coffee is not world-class but quite OK. Outside you can sit in the sun in the morning and lunch hours. Inside Katulki, with its cozy and old-fashioned interior, is now already a rarity in Berlin. My favourite place to meet a friend and talk.

Susan Nitzsche: I loved everything that we tried! The poached eggs, with mushrooms and pesto, the Polish dumplings, the spinach smoothie, the cake. The staff was super friendly. The interior creates a super nice atmosphere, where I felt really comfortable.

Nicolas Petenian: They are looking for employees now and the job offer sounds like explotation 2.0. Like: 2 years of experience as a Barista for a Waiter job, “very good level of german” as they know they’re want a bilingual cheap immigrant employee because germans are not taking that job, they also require you to do service-bar-dishwashing on the same shift and they offer 12€ per hour.
Response: hi, thank you for writing your opinion. we're sorry we can't talk to you in personally; because your interpretation is not accurate. we just want to officially say here that the rate is included as an initial one and is adjusted individually to the people we work with. we assume that many people have different degrees of experience and this is agreed proportionately. however, we would like to point out that 50% of people with German origin work in our team. we invite you to talk to us!

Marine Trizac: Nice café with amazing breakfast/brunch. The best scrambled eggs I've eaten in a Berlin! Warning : cash only!

Jeehye Kim: Since their opening several years ago, I'm coming to this place regularly. It's for sure one of my favourite Cafés in Berlin. Original cakes, nice breakfast. People working there are friendly.

Rai Tff: Great service, lovely food that really tastes homemade and perfect coffee, one of the few places in Berlín where you can ask for a cortado and get it right.Cozy atmosphere, nice kind people and wifi. ☺️👌🏻

Alaska von Enzberg: Yummy!

Jessi M: Free WiFi which is always a plus. Very cute cafe and friendly staff. Food wasn't great unfortunately: hard boiled poached eggs, watery hollandaise and no salt or seasoning.

A Never Ever Ending Love Story: what do users think?

Andres Capurro: Food Quality: amazing food. The different breakfast options are all really good. They have plenty of healthy dishes and they taste super fresh. Portions: very good sizes. You will definitely be satisfied with most options. Drinks: apart from the regular breakfast drinks, they also offer some nice fresh smoothies. Price: $$ good price for quality and quantities served. Service: very friendly staff. Atmosphere: not so many tables outside, but very nice if you manage to get a place outside. Inside is also very nice and cozy, but in several cases they will be large shared tables. Highlights: a very good place to have brunch on weekends. There might be a wait list if you come after 10am. Early bird gets the table right away ;) Things to improve: not much i can think off. Maybe adding some more full brunch plates like the Mexican Breakfast would be amazing.

Pamela McOnie: Brilliant spot for breakfast!! Lovely staff. Warm and wonderful decor. Delicious breakfasts!! Options range from healthy granola and fruit through to scrambled egg with delicious options such as salmon and sour cream through to French toast and pancakes. Great tables outside on the pavement. If it is full - sit on the waiting bench and wait for a table - it is worth it!

Anita Fanc: Charming breakfast spot! You have to typically wait to be seated because this place is small and popular but wow do they deserve it. I had a strawberry pancake and had to finish it despite being full because it was just so delicious. The coffee is good too. We also tried their hot chocolate which was amazing. The atmosphere is unmatched and the interiors are so so pretty.

Prashant Tiwari: Great place and ambience. Food was also very nice. We arrived there on a Sunday morning for Brunch, had to wait in the queue for sometime but it was worth the wait. We really enjoyed everything here. Service was also great. Must visit place I would say. We will definitely go back again.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Magdalena O: A breakfast cafe. Very good food, freshly made for order. Good service. The proces are quite expensive - EUR 40 for a couples breakfast. The interior a bit too pinkish for me, but we should not argue taste;-)Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Lou Hernandez: It was a very pleasing experience. The food is really good, it tastes amazing and it's very fresh. The staff is adorable. I recommend it 100%.If you're planning on a budget, the prices are a little higher than the menu's pictures here, but still not very expensive for the quantity and the quality

James Cheek: If I could give 10 stars I would. Quirkly little cafe about 10 minutes from Berlin Zoo, I came for breakfast before going to the zoo. Situated on a little side street, its in a perfect setting. I sat outside, but from what I seen Inside, its what you expect from a proper little cafe. My server was friendly, service was quick food (pancakes were gorgeous). Highly recommend ❤️

Jonathan Race (Lord Race): Had to take a 20 min train ride to get here from central Berlin, but conveniently located within walking distance of the station and totally worth it. The pictures and ratings all looked amazing and we wanted to see for ourselves. Super stylish and cute, with music from the James Brown era playing in the background. As you can see the dishes are exactly what the menu says they are, and they were filling and delicious. It's all fresh, and perfectly cooked and the staff was wonderful!

Ghassan Zein: Food is really good! The seatings aren't very comfortable but do the job (part of the place's vibe). Service is great and staff are friendly. Make sure to book beforehand as it gets really busy. Recommended while in Berlin!

Zoltan Lukac: A cosy place, ideal for breakfasts. Located just a block away from Savigny Square, tucked away in a side street, it also has a closed terrace which is ideal in winter. Best to come before 10:00 or after 13:00, as you may otherwise find yourself standing in line. Good bread, croissants, many dishes with scrambled eggs (juicy, freshly prepared), avocado, French toast, pancakes and freshly squeezed juices. Quick and very friendly service.

The Barn Café: what do users think?

Triin Roomet: Yes! If you appreciate good coffee, this is THE place to go. The coffee was amazing! I ordered a cappuccino with oat milk, the barista was very kind and they also had some very nice pastries (did not buy but I am sure they were nice!) overall vibe was chill, minimalistic, Scandinavian. There are seats inside so you can enjoy your coffee indoors as well.

Victor Abadio: Food menu is short but everything is delicious. Had the stuffed croissant and the cake. Both great. Also the best hot chocolate I had my stay in Berlin! Creamy and not overly sweet. The staff is incredibly friendly, fast and knowledgeable about coffee. One hundred percent recommend it!

Kadien Kent: Some of the best coffee ive had. Carrot Cake was delicious as well - not too sweet and very moist. Staff was very friendly, especially Sam! Nice decor inside - Less is more! Will come here again!

Greig Stuart Torpey: Lovely little modern cafe, delicious cakes and hot chocolate. A little overpriced but well worth the visit. Staff were lovely and atmosphere was great. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Covid friendly

Hülya Ülger: Delicious coffee, very helpfull & nice staff, beatiful coffe shop, various good quality coffee beans!

Gustav Vang: Excellent coffee, service minded staff, cosy place. You can't go wrong if you actually like coffee without wiped cream-caramel sprinkled-oreo filled-ice frappé. Buy the coffee to stay for the best experience. The Barn are often placed in neighbourhoods with below average traffic, not in malls. On my favourites list

Christakis Psyllides: One of the best coffees in Berlin-Mitte for sure. Very consistent throughout their numerous branches. Loses a star because others provide a great coffee in the area too but also have toilets (which Barn never does!) and food (Barn has very few options and none very fresh). A pity as with toilets and food, Barn would be the best cafe chain anywhere I have ever travelled to.

Addyson Reimer: Had a lovely breakfast here. The coffee and hot chocolate was fantastic. The cakes were wonderful too. Will be back.

Vishwa Vijay Singh: This place is great! Had iced flat white, and loved it so much ended up having one more and buying the beans. The baristas are lovely to talk to and will definitely increase one’s coffee knowledge!

Nikola Todorovic: Excellent coffee (tried an espresso and nitro cold brew) and very polite, patient and knowledgeable staff. The place is packed and yet they will still take the time to explain different roast types and flavors. Highly recommended!
