Trillian as: I received very good and competent advice. I was allowed to try out different machines and was then able to decide on the model that I liked best. The machine was checked once when it was picked up and I was able to try it out in the shop to see whether everything was working as it should. The store is easily accessible by subway. For drivers: There is a parking garage nearby that is free for 1.5 hours.

A: We have professional Juli sewing machine and serger in the shop. The advice is excellent, even with a short introduction to the machines! It took almost 2 half days and the owners (both woman and man) are very patient and give all the pros and cons of the respective sewing machines. No comparison to any other store!!!

freya sul: i went this monday to get some advice on what overlocker machine to buy and made an appointment to try some in person. there was a man there who showed me around but he didn’t listen to my budget or requirements for the machine and i got the feeling he only wanted commission. he wouldn’t tell me why the more affordable models were bad but only tried to convince me to buy more expensive ones. then when i changed my mind after he said they don’t offer a return policy (sus) he got mad and started yelling saying if i make an appointment i have to buy something and literally kicked me out. would not recommend supporting this fishy money oriented business
Chris Wokral: Terrible experience. I brought in my Bernina 730e for service when I was having problems with it. Though an older model now, this machine was almost $10k USD when new and wanted to bring it to a Bernina dealership to receive the best service possible. My German isn’t good yet but the ladies who received it were really friendly and helpful so it all started well. They quoted me about 40€ for an estimate which I was fine with. Within a couple days I received a call to come pick up my machine as the technician claimed it was unrepairable — indicating that it must have been dropped and the frame was bent. As I’m not the original owner, I can’t be certain that this wasn’t the case, but I had been sewing on it for the last 7 years and previous technicians made no indication of such a problem when I’ve had it serviced in the past and it was working fine. When I I picked it up, I asked about potential options or alternative solutions. I was told that they could maybe send it to Bernina in Switzerland but it would be very very expensive and they could offer no indication of the amount or if they could even do anything. Their only potential solution was for me to buy a new machine. While I’ve been considering an upgrade to a new 7 or 8 series, I was unhappy at being told that my machine was basically scrap. I looked online and took it directly to another sewing machine service center. Upon arriving and taking my machine out of the carrying case, the plastic cover for the free arm was completely falling off. They hadn’t even bothered to put all the screws back in when they examined it. So not only did I pay 40€ for an estimate, receiving nothing more than a verbal claim that it was unrepairable, my machine was returned with more problems than when I brought it in. Really pathetic. The next store I took it to listened to the problems I was having, received it for service, and fixed it so it’s running as good as ever all for around 100€. I understand that sewing machine stores make more money on new sales than repairs, but when it’s time for me to upgrade, it sure won’t be by buying a machine here.

Kristin Rein: really disappointing, this machine neither corresponded to the description nor my quality requirements derived from it, nor was it shown to be accommodating. So no revocation granted, since delivered to company address. No recall, as agreed days before, but they were very happy to sell us a machine that was almost 10 times as expensive. I would have liked to have taken a different model, but after this experience, I like to buy elsewhere with a better feeling. Sometimes you should read the reviews first.

Flocki: Just recommendable! Very friendly, take time for the customer, very competent, top satisfaction! We have received some offers from various companies. In the end we decided on the company Sewing Machine Center in Berlin and it was definitely the right choice! The entire staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions, and also demonstrated / demonstrated everything. A lot of time was taken and in the end we drove home happily with our overall package. For us it was and is the right company for sewing machines and all matters. They have a very large range of machines and you can get everything you need. Katharina D.: As long as you leave enough money, you will get “good” advice, as soon as you have a “problem” with a machine, you will have a rude awakening. The employees then become rude and condescending. This just seems to be about making money and what comes after... Tough luck. We have never experienced a customer being treated so impudently and for not exactly small sums. Very sad !

Sun Shine (Loreen): The couple that runs this business is top notch in terms of friendliness and advice. Hence the five stars. It could just be a little cleaner and tidier. Between all the sewing machines, including real treasures, there is almost only one narrow aisle. And yet I would love to go there again and again. :)
KOLO Berlin: The best service that I can only recommend, both on the phone and on site. The mechanic also takes his time on the phone, giving advice and really trying to help. It is really only to be recommended!

Alice B.: Does your sewing machine need to be repaired? You are right here! Competently and carefully. Not cheap but inexpensive. Bring some time! The insider tip is no longer one. Corona has turned many into needle and thread artists.

Martina Baumann: My old Veritas sewing machine stopped sewing and needed an overhaul. The owner, slightly grumpy-Berlin, but professional, immediately looked at them and estimated the repair and spare parts costs. He then informed me that due to wear and age, he would advise against repairs. Would have been feasible, but more repairs would likely be needed in the near future. I should rather get a newer model. Sounded very plausible, and there were also numerous repaired older sewing machines. Could have left the machine there for "disposal", but preferred to take it back as a potential spare parts store. Only 4 stars because I cannot judge the result of a repair.
Rene Schneider: I had to wait about 3 months for the repair including a cost estimate, the repair itself then only took one day, the result is perfect as far as I can tell

Innina artworks: Lovely shop with a big choice of fabrics and crafty tools Good quality and different price ranges. The service can be a little bit slow but always quite friendly. I was looking for knitting supplies and you can find that there too. Not a big choice but readonable choice of wools for an ok price, needles as well (not the best quality but good).
Chris Jarv: Good store for basic sewing items. The selection of fabrics is generally ok. They have knitting, crochet, dress making sewing, haberdashery and some embroidery items. They have new selections of seasonal fabrics. A good general sewing/needle work store.

Rebekah Eckard: Honestly really wanted to like this store. I shop here often (at least once a week) but the women who work there are incredibly rude. They ignore me when standing at the register and then always act like it is a pain to answer any questions I have. At first I thought it was because of my “foreign accent”, but it seems a well known fact even amongst my German friends how rude these women are. Today, I brought my child in with me to grab buttons and then leave. I would have been out in less than 3 minutes if they hadn’t made me sit so long. When my child made noise, they gave her a look and then let someone else move in front of me to pay. I finally had to beg them to just let me pay for the buttons so I could leave with me “loud child” and they made it seem like I was a bother to them. Honestly, I wanted to support this store because it is a local shop, but I’m done. I will order online before I shop here again.
Kuan Liang Wu: I went to the shop today and I have to say, the service was so friendly! I have absolutely no idea about sewing and was trying to find a solution for our curtain window. So I asked the lady and she was so patient and gave great advice how to fix it. Even thought my German was really broken, but she was really patient. I will be back for sure for other projects! Nika Walldorf: First I have to say: this is your local to-go-to and not-order-online fabric store. Most of the time you might find what you seek - and if you need something special, they probably know where to find it. And here is this little bit of bitterness in this handy fabric store of your neighbourhood. the sales stuff. Well, sometimes they are surprisingly friendly, helpful and easy to go to and the other day, the same person does not know you, is harsh and nearly rude. After consideration I came to the conclusion: They are humans with all the stress and how to cope with it. And not each day is as fine as the other day before. That aside: if you´re living around the Frankfurter Allee.. that´s your store if you in the need of fabric, buttons ( big selection!) and such.

Lea: The selection is very small due to the size of the shop (~150m2). If you are looking for something specific, for fashion design or interior design forget it. It’s a neighbourhood shop. Expensive too.

A Zimmermann: A dream for the MYOG - great online, but the store "in real" is just terrific. Good advice, great order, large selection - the only "problem" is that you have to go back again and again because new project ideas are constantly emerging ;)

Romy Amori: Nice team 👍❗ I was there today with my Overlook to get a few more tips and tricks in a small course. It was wonderful. Despite a lot of walk-in customers with bigger wishes and smaller zipper problems, a large group of sewing students and me and my machine, the ladies of the shop did not let themselves be disturbed. They listened patiently and gave excellent professional advice. In any case, the shop is a recommendation. Katrin Hennig: It is unbelievable for what price and with what bad advice new customers are scared away here. A sewing beginner was recommended to use cuff fabric to sew a scarf and this was also sold. If you take care of customers who need help, they might come back. But never again.
