DA F.U.N.K. Hip Hop Street Dance Courses in Berlin: what do users think?

Nicole Strauch: Best dance school! Lessons are always fun and you make friends quickly 😊 The choreos are also awesome and really make you want to :))

2malaika1: We recommend. The location is easy to reach by all means of transport and even on foot. Great rooms in the Holmes Palace. Afterwards you can, if you want to take a shower right there. A big compliment goes to the dance coach. Although she is younger than most participants, she knows exactly what she is doing. She has a lot of patience and shows each step so that he sits in the end. All in all, but in a pleasant way, so you feel really comfortable. I enjoy every time I can go in the evening. Everybody is integrated by the trainer so that everybody gets together with everybody in a dance part. The music selection is very good. Come along and see it for yourself at a trial lesson. :)

sabine forcioli conti: Courses great :) ! But communication with the school under all dignity!!!

Wir du: Not found Sow hard to find

Lucia: The trainer is really great.

Jessica Brandao: I did the Lady HipHop Beginner Class with Kimberly and I have to say she is just the sweetest girl! I really liked the way she structured the class. Hopefully the school will remain open in these uncertain times.

Manikanta Garikipati: Great trainers, you will not miss fun and learning!

Olga Dryn: I went here for a Zumba class and it was great! Teacher was super engaged and energized! we had so much fun ;)

Tatiana S: I was surprised how friendly and cheering the front desk person was, it happens rarely esp. in Berlin. Warmest welcome and the class is great. I love how the rooms are that one can really see yourself in the mirror (only in one other studio in Berlin I ever been it was the same), there is even AC (super rare practice in here as well). The teacher was great too! Definitely coming back.

Amanda M: The class was amazing but the front desk staff was not friendly.

Darya Sudas: I love this school. The staff was always helpful, the coaches are fun and creative.

Alex Siberian: awesome dance school for beginners and advanced

martin castagna: mega😎

Flying Steps Academy: what do users think?

Fizah Nahwi: Huge and spacious studios, dedicated and talented coaches, variety of classes. The main reason they don’t get a full 5 star review from me is because of their deteriorating customer service (which used to be quite efficient before summer 2022) Just hope and pray that you don’t encounter any glitches because if you do, then be prepared for endless back and forth emails, unanswered calls to customer service agents and the app that seems to be having a lot of issues lately preventing you from booking its classes. And unauthorized deduction from your bank account.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to give us a review! 😊

Uroš Skulj (Urkius): A professional dance school with great vibe 🔥🔥
Response: Thanks a lot for your review. We are glad you had a great experience ;)

Elena Jirkov: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI’ve went to the flying steps academy for over a year now and Iove it! The atmosphere there is really chill, the instructors are easygoing and motivated and I’ve really enjoyed taking k-Pop classes with Melis.
Response: Thanks a lot for your review. We are glad you had a great experience.

CENTER OF DANCE: what do users think?

Ivy Clayton: The teachers are professional, but in my opinion the overall vibe is pretty hostile for adult recreational dace classes. I get it if you train professionally, but even the beginner classes were extremely tense, and given that there are so many studios in berlin that are a lot nicer, making it more fun to dance, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Irina Kuznetsova: Perfect place to dance and test your strength! I love this place

Patrick H.: Not enough space with a crowded class

C Milieme: Good communication, great classes! Thanks for getting back to me

Marco Scola: Great Place for the dance lovers!

ill_ ana: I like Afro classes here. Nice and cool studio!

PoleFlow Berlin: Very nice studio and classes :)

Paul K: Very nice dance place - salsa & bachata

Detlef Schmidt: There are certainly good dance classes there.. but the people who answer the phone there are amateurs.. very horrible treatment of customers.

Sandra Neugaertner: I have taken part in the Power Yoga course several times and looking back I can say that it was the most efficient "training" I have ever done. Since then, I have never noticed such major physical changes during the course anywhere else. You feel great after every session - not only physically - but also mentally/psychologically.

motion*s Tanz- und Bewegungsstudio: what do users think?

Chevy Nyala: Motion*s is certainly the most divers and most welcoming dance school in Berlin with one of the broadest offers in classes and styles. However, I’m sad that the standard and quality of many courses have dropped quite a bit in the last year or so. Where there were high-profile instructors, often well established masters of their styles, there are now a lot of twenty-somethings teaching classes, who just don’t bring the same level of expertise and teaching quality (especially if you yourself are not a teenager anymore). In the last two years I saw at least 4-5 great instructors leave. Merely the Jazz and Ballet classes have stayed relatively consistent. Unfortunately those have also fallen prey to the “USC-syndrome”, though. Because of providers like Urban Sports Club there is so much rotation and random drop-ins that instructors seem often forced to lower the level and explain everything from the basis, especially in the beginner and intermediate classes, which is super frustrating and hindering for the regular students. I hope this will improve again and the school will shift its focus back on experienced, adept instructors, so all the dancers above 25 feel comfortable too
Response: Hi Chevy, thank you for your detailed review. You know all of our teachers are self employed and come and go throughout the years when they are booked for dance jobs or move around the world or take baby pauses ... . So we have little control over that area. And other teachers usually come via recommendation or are part of our existing network. But If you have feedback about specific teachers / classes we'd be happy to get an email from you info@motionsberlin.de to look into it. And yes you are right about the USC syndrome, wich is why not all of our classes are bookable through the app. It is the teachers who decide if they wish for their class to be bookable via USC. So please also speak to your teacher about this experience so he or she can then make a more informed decision about putting their training out there. Thanks again for your review! Kind regards your motion*s office team

Linda Veijola: Great classes with warm atmosphere 😊 Good location with the studio. Easy to dorp-in or go regulary. Teaching often in English. A lot of classes for adults. Open levels vary a lot, so you’ll find out the level by just trying. Overall, can only recommend!
Response: Hey thank you Linda! Can you also recommend the dance program that you've been a part of? lot's of love from motion*s <3

Bosaina El Haggar: Critical: ValueWaste of time sorry :/ in the 2 times i booked a class, they changed the teacher without giving notice. Also in the 2 times, the teacher is not teaching us anything, she’s basically just dancing so that we can follow.
Response: hey there, sorry you made this experience twice. Though you must know that our teachers are all self employed. Sometimes people call in sick on short notice because how can you plan that? We always put a lot of effort into finding substitute teachers on short notice. For them jumping into an unknown group can be challenging for them as well. As soon as we get info about a change of teachers we usually communicate that via our Kurskalender.

Chris Gogler: Great dance studio! The first class you do is only 5 Euros, really worth checking out. Diverse range of classes. The voguing class is wicked!

Dina Kourouvani: the dance celebration in Berlin! Reminds me of Pineapple in London. Very friendly and easy going ambience, reasonable prices very interesting schedule and amazing teachers ❤️ The perfect place to enjoy dancing, especially for dance-lovers-non-professional .
Response: Thank you so much for your feedback!

Marco Scola: Very nice dance studio, very clean and bright

senem: Wonderful place and professional teachers
Response: thank you Senem! Hope we'll be seing you regularily!

Berlin Dance Institute: what do users think?

Sara Kibler: The Berlin Dance Institute creates a place, where everyone, regardless of their dance level, can discover and learn about themselves through dance. I highly recommend the five month intensive program to anyone interested in an intensive dance experience. The teachers are incredible, ready to give fair and helpful corrections and make sure that the group moves forward together. The respect for each other, both among the program members and between students and teachers, creates an ideal learning atmosphere that is motivating and encouraging. From Graham, to ballet, to different styles of contemporary dance and improvisation, everyone can discover their potential, their style, their preferences and wants. A big thank you to Suleika and the entire BDI team for this unique and inspiring experience. <3

Ley La: Best dance school ever! I love it. Have been to other schools before but this one is by far the nicest and most welcoming environment. Everyone is working honest, hard but with fun. I can just recommend auditioning here if you seriously wanna become a professional dancer.

Valentine Capian.Moser: Great dancing space and no issues with neighbors because of the music.

Karin Gingras: Absolutely wonderful place to train and dance - excellent teachers who bring lots of heart and create a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment to really grow and explore, good floors, and beautiful big studio spaces 💎

sandra ann butler: What a fantastic place to dance and to be inspired. The diversity of the teachers is amazing; they all ooze professionalism and at the same time cherish their students. They have created an oasis of calm and tranquility where learning is enjoyable, creative and satisfying. This is the place to be, truly impressive!

Dorothée Tölgyesi: The staff and students succeded in creating a family like environment while still pushing for better results. This establishment nurtures talent and allows you to reach your full potential. No other institution is able to achieve such a high level of professionalism and create a strong lasting relationship between dancers and their art.

SophiaMpoulou: I am a first year student, and I already saw progress in the way i make each movement. We work really hard, and both teachers and students really put so much effort for the best result! If you aim high, then Berlin Dance Institute is the right school for you! :)

Stephanie Leisen: If you want to be a dancer you should go to Berlin dance Institute. Great and professional teachers will give you the best education you can get!!! :-)

Rosanna Barriobero: Amazing school! I’m really happy with my education. Super nice energy and atmosphere of all the students, and very professional teachers from all over the world.

lila wolken: I did my apprenticeship here and was very happy with my decision to go to this school. The lessons are very diverse, I was able to work with great choreographers and always felt supported.

Angie: I wanted to ask why you can only come to the dance academy from the age of 16?
Response: Dear Nicole, we are a recognized vocational training, where the general school education (MSA, Abitur) has to be completed before you can attend our training. So it's not like at the state ballet school, for example, where dance training and general school education run parallel to each other.

Maja: When does the first year of training begin and when do I have to apply?
Response: Hello Maja, the new training year always starts at the beginning of October for us. The audition dates start in March every year and the application documents should always be received about 2 weeks before the respective date. You can find all audition dates on our website! Greetings from the dance academy balance 1

Helicopter pilot Ian: Incredibly friendly people here. My first time was last night and everyone was so welcoming. The atmosphere is fun and lively and the dancing itself is great with dancers from all levels. If your cab driver drops you off at the billiards place, face the front door, turn right (toward the train station) then walk that way and around the corner of the building. Google maps is a little off.

Diana Lerêve: lots of fun : ) recommended!

B M: Friendly, helpful and clear with their teaching! Many thanks

Thalis Kalfi: Friendly and accommodating teachers (Anna & Slava), well-organized courses, nice space, easily accessible location. Two thumbs up; highly recommended.

Neue Zeiten: Not just a dance school. This is where great contacts and new friendships are made.

Benedikt Jockenhöfer: Great swing dance school with a great concept and great trainers!

Pole Flow Berlin: what do users think?

Fernanda D'Emery: I attended a workshop at the studio and really enjoyed the vibe and the class itself. The place is also quite beautiful. However, the location could be much better. Besides not easy to find, it’s located near several car repair stores, which brings inside some sort of dark dust (my nude knee pads were really dirty after the class, not to mention my legs). Had I known about this before, I probably wouldn’t have booked a class. Even though the environment in the studio is welcoming, the aesthetics is nice and the class was good, I feel better in a cleaner space, so I would not recommend the place for people who are a bit neat freaks like myself.
Response: Thank you Fernanda ❣️

Susana Chamorro: First thing I would say about pole flow is that it feels like a safe space for everybody. And when we talk about pole, where u show a lot of skin, with a lot of mirrors, with people around u, is very important that u can feel embrace. There is many people that through pole as in my case, worked like a therapy in so many levels. I started to go to pole flow many years a go, and i am still going there, sometimes 3 times a week and also online classes. There you can learn many different styles from many different teachers which i think is amazing. I am very grateful for the experience that i am getting from the studio and I cant wait to the next class :))) Xx
Response: Thank you so much for your review and feedback Susana! It warms our hearts to hear. We do believe pole can be very healing and we try our best to create the environment for such magic to take place ✨

Annabel: Best Pole studio in Berlin !! The space is beautiful, nice and clean. The team of teachers is super professional, kind, friendly and helpful, a wide diversity of classes- from acrobatics to fun and sexy dance routines, and the studio has really special, inclusive energy. Always a positive experience, Highly recommend!
Response: Thank you so much Annabel! We are very happy to hear ❤️‍🔥

Eva M: pole flow is like a second home to me in Berlin. It’s rare and wonderful to find a studio that is beautiful, full of great classes, but also one that is so respectful of the history and culture of Pole dance. This is not your average “Pole fitness” studio, but one that embraces the rich history of sensuality and dance, as well as strength building via tricks and such.
Response: Thank you so much Eva! 💓

Elise: I can only recommend Pole Flow, I started pole dancing there some years ago and this studio is so good. I love the teachers, the variety of their styles, they all give you very good inputs. Workshops are also tip top (more please !)
Response: Thank you so much Elise! It warm our hearts We look forward to continue dancing together ❣️

hannka: Nice space and trainer but weird location and the beginner course was more like an advanced course. The pole I danced on was also really scratched, dirty and old which is a nogo for me. Overall okay experience.
Response: Hi Hannka, thank you for your feedback! We are sorry to hear you found the beginners course too advanced. We would appreciate if you could email us at poleflowberlin@gmail.com to share which specific course it was. Thank you for bringing the damaged pole to our attention, it has been replaced now :)

Emily Volbert: The teachers at Pole Flow are super sweet, the studio itself is beautiful and you never have to share a pole. By far my favorite Pole Studio in Berlin!
Response: Thank you so much Emily! 💓

Patrick H.: Excellent school with very friendly teachers and staffs. The rooms are also big enough to move in.

Whisper of the Sacred: Bilingual dance school offering classes and workshops by amazing teachers. Good location and fair pricing✨

Carlos González: 22€ for a Gaga class of 1h 15 min? Are we crazy? Not even in Israel you pay so much for it. Very disappointing. Is it everything just about making money at any cost...?

Leisa Prowd: Love this space! Such a variety of classes in great studios!

Nikolay Ofitserov: I was there for a dance meditation course and it was fantastic! I recommend

Kayla Collymore: Fanatic movement research class with Idan Yoav! Multiple studios with friendly desk lady and tons of sun light

Nicolas Avila Rodriguez: Good place good teachers good atmosphere 👏

Rene Rothe: Nice big room in classic Berlin factory in the backyard. Salsa is well and loosely organized there.

Ramona Wank: Drop in, uncomplicated, up to date and good classes, focus on everything contemporary and improv related. Ballet has thinned out.

Pe Pe: Great courses for kids.
