Eislaufen Potsdamer Platz: what do users think?

Christos Golois: The posters describe it as an "ice skating" Hall. In reality the surface is made of plastic. NOT good for skating. It can be dangerous and everyone is leaving after 10'. Definitely not worth it

Mariele Richter: Unfortunately only plastic, no ice.

ellee kim: fake ice! T_T

Lee Chapdaniel: Save your time & money: just avoid this place! A total scam.

Mario Lehmann: Are there ZERO points? Too bad no! The kids were so disappointed with the plastic track. It was advertised with an ICE RAILWAY, not with plastic plates to slide on. Unbelievable! We have seen and used better artificial ice rinks in smaller villages. There really was ice on it! Even for free, the journey is already too expensive!

Toxi Clive von Harrenstedt: I had a wonderful evening at the ice rink! The very friendly and helpful person at the ice skate handover, the right music and, above all, it is not as crowded as on many other lanes. I can only partly understand the bad reviews here. You can see right away that it's not ice! So don't go for it, nobody's forcing you. And if you only have a little skating skills, you'll be able to let the runners whiz around here, too. Oh, and just by the way: "real" ice rinks are a real climate killer, so please don't be so chilly, after all it's almost Christmas!

Martha K.: This is not ice, but a plastic surface on Marlene-Dietrich-Platz, there is not even a thin layer of ice on top (was confirmed to us by the operators). Very disappointing, it doesn't feel like walking on ice either! It took longer to put our skates on than we were off the "ice" again

Max 29: Not recommended at all! You can't drive because you're always slipping and it's really hard to move forward on plastic. It's also super small and boring! An impossible ice rink. By far the worst I've ever driven. Never again!

Molaron: So let's face it, whoever came up with this nonsense either has never skated before or doesn't want the rink to be visited. The idea of replacing the ice on the rink with plastic plates and still promoting the rink as an ice rink is a disaster.

Uwe Tilgner: Blunt plastic plates instead of ice. Only recommended for small children to take away their fear of ice. After that it's better to go on real ice.

Skatehalle Berlin: what do users think?

&Tilly [andtillycom]: Top place for skaters (spacy covered hall) and for bouldering (indoor and outdoor). Pity it´s NOT for stunt scooters. So this is a non-skater review. It’s not just a place. Big “garden” for street-food, courses, program

Marta Franco: This place is great. They have dedicated sessions for roller skaters twice a month, which is nice but definitely not enough. Please consider adding a couple more!

Wojciech Gancarczyk: I went back to skating after a really long pause. After work session on Thursday is just a perfect time for beginners and people coming back to it. This spot has just enough obstacles to satisfy everybody.

J. F.: Today the newly made outside part of the Skatehalle opened, free to use for everyone. It was a nice opener! Berlin Skate scene is dope.

Patrick Smith: That blond clerks attitude, what a drag. The skatepark doesn’t seem to be aware of the Zeitgeist. All wheels sports are separated. My girl and I aren’t able to skate together. Different tool means different time slot. Why not bring them all together? Stuck in 1994 is what that is…!!!
Response: Thank you for your feedback. If we allowed all 'wheel sports' at the same time, we would turn into a drop off for scooter kids by tomorrow. And we would make much more money. But we don't want to. We are primarly a skatepark for skateboarders, run by skateboarders. WCMX is also allowed in every session. Roller skates and BMX have their own regular time slots. That's the best we can do. You don't have to like it.

Jessy N. Marine: Cool staff, super friendly and helpful! Big bowl, street, mini ramp and chilling areas in or outdoor. Pretty cheap too, sooo perfff! Love it. 🏾

Germain: Before there was 1 bmx slots per week, now it's only 2 per month. When booking a session online, there is a fee to pay

C Walter: We had a great time here. Special thanx to Dennis who was the instructor for the girls.

Peppy Cheng: Nice people, nice atmosphere with a big bowl to skate. More to come...

Nicocheetoo: the best skatepark i have seen in berlin, if you pay five euros i have the all day for skating in chill, but if you don’t won’t to pay u can just skate in the free outside park, near you have bars, beers, climbers, house concerts and a lot of things… one bad point, you can’t take a beer inside for the glass ahahah

Erika Hess Ice Stadium: what do users think?

Semen Shendyapin: Minus 3 stars for the entrance, had to wait for an hour in the queue outside because they don’t know how to sell tickets online and make a proper entry points

Internet Jerk: We spend almost 2 hours in line between the entrance and waiting for our skates. When we reach the desk to get our skates the employee told us we could only skate for 10 minutes, because they were closing. I find it very bad organize when the only 2 employees working are giving and receiving skates. Not coming back and will advise no one to go there.

Well Aires: The website is really really bad. There's not a single picture of the place itself, and instead of using written text they uploaded some jpegs with comic sans, besides being ugly and cheesy it also makes it more difficult to translate for those who don't speak German

Linh Phan: The entry price is very affordable - 3.3e. They close shoes renting at the moment. There’s no online booking so be prepared for long queue. The rink is quite bumpy to a beginner like me.

Joseph: Too amazing so it's always really full

Florian Herder: ICE Hall is small but therefore low prices. 3.20€ per person. You have to pay in coins or the amount should line up with your amount. No rental ice skates, no Locker just skating

C P: This is one of those places that belong to what I really hate about Berlin. It feels like a slice of the past, with poor infrastructure, understaffed, and no willingness whatsoever to improve things. You're queuing for 30-40 minutes without knowing anything about the prices (no info either at the entrance or on the "website") or whether the ticket allows you to come back in the afternoon, after being kicked out at 12pm. So unworthy of one of the greatest cities of the world!

Dino Man: I love this place. I went there multiple times per week

Lisa Marie Lange: This is a horrible ice rink. Not only is the ice weirdly bumpy even when it‘s freshly made, but it breaks quickly and it‘s getting dangerously slippery by breaking into snow under you after a while. Additionally to that, the staff calls you out for regular ice skating. You are basically only allowed to go in a perfect circle, forwards and not too fast. Any part of fun at ice skating (like doing basic figureskating moves with blades on the ground) were a reason to get shout at. And no, I wasn’t there when there were lots of small kids or beginners - It was a regular evning. I recommend going to other ice rinks in this city, I haven‘t had such bad experience in any other ice rink.

Dinesh Kene: Great place for ice skating. Also there is ice hockey stadium. Price is reasonable. Skating shoes are also provided at rent of 3 Euro per hour.

Tom Beck: Part of Eisbären Berlin’s history and a proper old school ice hockey venue. You can smell the years of hockey sweat as soon as you walk in! Basic facilities at best but it’s not a bad place for a few hours.

Rachael Page: I've been calling for months to find out if they're open since the pandemic restrictions are lifted. The phone is never answered in their hours of operation shown on GMB and online. I finally went over, and was told by 2 guys outside that they're closed and will be until at least the end of the year for construction - even though there's no notice on their door and the neon signs and times of operation are still shown outside the door. Shockingly bad communication, how hard would it be to put a message on their phone and door and update their online listings. Terrible management.

Vasily Pamukhin: Home of the Eisbaren :)

Scott Corwin: Watch the Eisbären Practice and get the players autographs afterwards.

Szabolcs Feicht: Very hard to park, toilet could be renewed.

Daniel Werner: Tradition pur

Oscar Petermann: Dynamo

Robin 17: Nice

Witschi 72: The bunny hasn't lost its charm. One likes to remember the good dynamo times there. A drinks stand and two more food stands would not have been bad. Less waiting times and more sales would have been possible.

Fabian: Great little ice rink with a traditional flair, will be used by the polar bears for the CHL games in 2022

Ilia: The class with 8-10 kids is too crowded and too long for kids (2 hours). The class is in German "they said it is a German training course". I would not recommend any courses if your child doesn't know very good German language.

Da Banane: I had an inline basic course for beginners with Manfred last weekend and it was a lot of fun despite the wind and weather and you could learn a lot in a short time. I'm looking forward to more courses :-)

Julia Wojtaszek: It’s NOT open for public. Don’t go if you want to go ice skating

Danny Brasco: I love it..Great facility..Very ideal for track skating ⛸...also has mini football pitch.

Jens Thomalla: SPORTS

Chris S.: Very nice sports facility and precisely because of the lockdown and the early sunset I rediscovered the tartan track. So sport is at least rudimentary possible. Unfortunately, the facility isn't open all the time and isn't open to the public, which I find quite frustrating. In the end, all or at least a large part of it was paid for out of public funds. I would like to be able to use the facility at the weekend and not stand in front of closed gates. Especially now during the lockdown I would wish for that all the more. The high-performing squad can continue to train there virtually undisturbed, and outside anyway, opening the facility for the period for individual athletes is definitely appropriate. But unfortunately it's typical Berlin...

Oliver R.: In the small bistro you can satisfy your hunger very well and the coffee is, in my opinion, the best in the area. Unfortunately, the hall is not open to the public when it comes to ice skating.

DerEinbeinige PaPParoZZi: The ice stadium is always an experience, shortcomings are parking spaces. My 5 stars for the small restoration and the two girls, just kisses there. It's like MuttA at the table.

Lena Renz: CAUTION! NO PUBLIC HALL! Finding the hall was an adventure! Google maps / router led us around the velodrome! 🙈 The building is very nested, the reception area is unoccupied, and it is not visible from the outside that there is neither an ice rink nor that it is not open to the public!

RICK MANN13: Old school station with tradition

Steffen Joost: Smaller ice rink, good that there is a small restaurant with a snack bar. It's also open on Sunday mornings.

Christian Geng: Functional hall without seating in the large sports complex. Very friendly, authentic Berlin staff in the restaurant.

Dino Man: This place is super packed during the weekend. You should expect to be in the queue for 1 hour, otherwise you better go early. They work for the ice every 2 hours, amazing.

Maarten van der hoef: Value for Money is little, Profit is everything. We received old skates with laces, althought they were the right size it was impossible to get them to fit around my leg as the leather was extremely stiff. Food corner was having crepes with surrogate cheese they erroneously call Gouda.

Niclas B.: A wee bit small and often quite crowded especially when school children come. Compared to other places outside of Germany, very expensive but I can't tell if it's expensive for Germany

Johannes Koch: It certainly won't be the last time we visit this ice-skating rink. Despite the horrible weather, we got on the ice with our two kids and made it a fun excursion. The facilities are not impeccable but functional, they have special skates for little ones and a helper for beginners, which was awesome. Renting skates costs a little and you'll end up buying some snacks but that's all part of the program.

T M: Terrible experience. Very crowded, and unsuitable for a beginner, with lots of teenagers racing around and bumping into people. The staff were unfriendly, because I understand only a bit of German, and were very rude when I asked to change my rented skates because the size was too big. Definitely won't be coming back again soon.

Brayan Marek Wierzbowski: almost all the shoes didn't fit, slipped etc. there was good food at the kiosk.

Victoria Taylor: We celebrated our daughter's birthday here. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Good time had by all!

Shining-Ana: Small and cute. Staff is friendly. The price is very fair! The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because it can be quite crowded sometimes.

E Vinogradova: Queue for an hour to get in, another 30 min to get ice skates, another 30 min to return them, crowded, rude staff. Like RUDE. Teenage personnel telling you off for their mess. The facilities need some work. Too many teenagers showing off their “skills”.

Katy: If you love waiting in lines, this is the place for you! We waited about 25 minutes to get in on a Sunday at noon because they have ONE person selling tickets. Then you wait in a long line to rent skates and after you're done skating you'll have to wait in line again to give the skates back because dividing the window into two separate lines would be far too efficient. (After waiting in said lines you will be scolded for not arranging the laces properly—they don't tell you this when they give you the skates, you're just supposed to know it). The actual rink is fine (and the bad pop music is fun) but if you rented a seal for your five-year-old and then had to park it somewhere while taking her to the bathroom, don't expect to find it again. People were swiping seals left and right. Very antisocial behavior....
Response: Dear Katy, the waiting time is even in our team regarded as an unfortunely disadvantage... we just have one cashier-room and no chance to rearrange the building. Well - be shure, there a lot of signs to advice our guests how to prepare the rental-stuff for a quick return... exact this causes the delay. Please be shure that we tested different systems how to speed up... it´s really on our customers! And regarding the seals: If you keep the chip, our ice-guards will pick out the missing seals quickly - this is working for shure! (but we cant´t change the behavior of or guests...) Thanks for your ideas and comment! Yours Ice-Team

Linh Phan: One of the best ice rinks in Berlin. The entry ticket is 3.3euro. You can only come in with a online reservation. They also offer shoes rental as well. Remember to bring your Vaccine pass because they will check at the entrance.

Aurora: super rude staff:(( we were so excited to finally skate but everything seemed to go wrong that day… made us go back three times with a new reason every time and didn’t know how to respond with basic kindness/respect. we were all also vaccinated but she didn’t have a scanner/and didn’t accept my friends’ french vaccination ?? we ended up just leaving after and giving up on the skating cuz we were not having it. if you’re gonna follow corona rules get the right tools to do so and possibly don’t hire a rude old lady who will not listen to a word you say.

Voci dell'Opera: Waiting time is too long! It’s a pity there is no option to buy tickets online. There were a lot of noisy children around. I’ve heard some skating rinks have different timings for adults and children.

Kata Jóna: Cloesed for the whole 22/23 season?

ellee kim: small but friendly, except sometimes(not all times) Kasse is not so kind, but i cannot complain so much. both my daughter and i love the ice skating school during winter. we already had 2 years of Eislaufschule here.

Paul Boldijar: Unfriendly staff, impossible tell how to buy tickets online. Staff doesn't speak English. Don't come here please

seero Gamoli: We went there and they say we have to book online ... when there is nothing in the website says that

Dino Man: The ice rink is big enough to skate

Néstor Castillo: Extremely unfriendly staff. Do not recommend.

Mariana Lanusse: Super!!!
