Our school sponsored the ingredients, the spices @soulspice.tastethatmatters... THANKS to Koch AG for making it possible... so we tried it out.. and it was very delicious. The focus today was on jungle pepper, cumin, salt, cardamom, chili, salt, oregano... next time more curry. The students were amazed at how aromatic spices can taste. It smells very intense and you can season more consciously... very good quality. A new experience for many. We're looking forward to it. I will definitely buy the spices privately too... very tasty.

Sahana P: Cannot be trusted on the freshness of their products. Ordered 3 types of vegetables, got delivered in 2 days, but all the vegetables are sent in a moldy state, it had to be trashed. The curry leaves were also rotten. It is clear that the delivery was sent although they knew the vegetables were moldy and unusable. Don't waste your money ordering from them.
Md Naim babu: Excellent project.Such a nice service, good packaging. I found all varieties which are needed. They have supportive staff.Project are best quality. I would love to continue buying my groceries from store or web-site.
Ketki Mahajan: Very unreliable and dishonest store. Writing this post because it has got to do something with the Health of people. Horrible experience with Spice Village. Spice Village sold us expired products/Just due for expiry ("Best before" date) as free products and trying to earn the goodwill of people at the cost of health of us customers. The expiry date ("best before" date) on the boxes of sweets (free gift which we never asked for) had been covered with a white paint but the date was still visible beneath the paint, when seen very closely. The delivery came on 01.09.2022 and the expiry date hidden beneath the paint ("best before" date) was 04.09.2022 (24 ladoos within 3 days for 2 people which is obviously not possible to finish). Moreover, the fact that they tried to remove the date with a paint clearly shows that their intention was not right and they intended that we eat the ladoos even after the "best before date". In the past too, spice village used to send us products (paid products that we had ordered) which were just within a very short due date of expiry, but we chose to forgive them every time. However now it's time to speak up, since this time they crossed the limit by removing the expiry date, which clearly shows their intention to misguide customers. The also replaced some of our products in the past with similar random products without informing us. Every time we need to tally each and every product in the delivery box with our ordered list and very often, there are issues in the order. We just cannot trust them. Many times there are bugs in their online website where if we order 1 item, 2 items get ordered for some specific items and we end up paying more for something that we do not need. @Spice Village- you really lost our respect..

Horaţiu Popa: Stay away from this online store. They have a quite advanced method of stealing from the products. They cut the bag of spices, they steal part of it and they try to cover the cut with transparent film tape!!! And then they ship the spices bags hoping that the clients will not observe the transparent film tape and the missing quantity. :( This my experience with india-store.de : I was placing an order to India Store, order no. 100206 from 05/03/2022 02:43:13. The items are different bags of spices. I received all the bags, looked at them quick and I thought they are in good order. I placed them in the storage room until first use. In few weeks I wanted to use the TRS Black Pepper Whole, Content: 400 g and, at a closer look, I noticed that the bag was cut and then taped with transparent adhesive tape. I measured the quantity and there were 280 g of pepper seeds instead of 400 g. In other words, I received a cut bag of pepper seeds and a third of quantity was stolen. As soon as I noticed the problem I sent an email to the store, but they claimed claimed it was too late (it was a month). The truth is that I could not notice this theft made professionally to be unobserved (they used transparent adhesive tape and they stolen just a part of the quantity, hoping that nobody will notice). My question to them is are they more interested in how quick I observed the damage / missing products or they are interested that one of your clients received a black pepper bag that was cut, a third of the quantity stolen and then taped with transparent tape? This is not concerning them? The missing part is 1.497 Euro. This is my loss. They think that I am spending my time for about 1.5 Euro? No, I am making a complain as a principle of honor. They should stop doing this and you should check if their employees are not stealing products parts in this way. And I am not sure if the product was not becoming dirty or somehow affected during the stealing.
Response: Dear Sir/Madam, We are really very sorry for the item which you didn’t receive in good condition. But please understand our store exists since 2005 and we never do such business. You can also read the reviews from other customers and there is no any feedback about the problem which you mentioned. We always pack and send original packings. We don’t need to cut the original packings and steel content from it. We don’t know how this mistake could happen. Please note sometime we receive the items from our shipper also where the plastic packs have minor cuts, but after recognition we don’t send it to the customer. You told one spice had a cut and the cut was covered with a transparent tape. This could be happen also from our shipper. But the problem is that we don’t weight every item before packing. We believe that all the informations mentioned on the packing are correct. Well we are sorry for that. We have already given you the full refund of the item and you don’t need to send it back. Abhinav Mittal: Went there for first time for Diwali shopping. Owner there was super nice and I was able to find most of the stuff there that was there on my list. Although the store is small in size but it is definitely one of the most wholesome Indian stores in Berlin . I even found some sparklers there which made my Diwali. I really loved the way owner treated all his customers. Keep up the good work. I just wish I lived a bit near to the place.

They don't confirm your order, remove items from your order, do not adjust the shipping cost. The customer service needs to improve. In my email exchanges i was told no fresh products would be sent they didn't specidy during summer only. and I was not told neither i could be refunded i was told store credit... I will continue shopping with them occasionnally but I guess i have to cross out all fresh products

Mario Kalipke: The shop does a wonderful promotion at trade fairs as well as with the presence on the Internet. Unfortunately the employees in the sales department do not manage to do this as well. Despite PayPal payment, the dispatch of the goods takes 2 weeks. A reasonable apology or explanation is unfortunately not given on request. Carsten Raddatz: This store has a market stall at various weekly markets (Thursdays Hackescher Markt, Saturdays Kollwitzplatz) - that is how I learned this store exists. A gift from heaven for lovers of dried chili peppers! Caynenne, Bird's Eye, simple Paprika, smoked Chili, Carolina Reaper, Bih Jolokia, simple Habanero, Chipotle and plain Japapenos. Oh my. I came here specifically to get pounds worth of of Birds Eye and smoked Anchos, and wasn't disappointed. The market stalls have teensy bags of 10g or less, but planning to cook enough chili sauce for all my friends I needed to come here and buy a full bag of things, which wasn't a problem. If you know the pfefferhaus, you'll know you need Kräuter Mian to complement that. (Hint, if you need kilograms do call them before you go.) Needless to say, it appears that _all the spices_ can be bought here, and even though I did not need much service, the staff is super friendly and seems to know their stuff.

Helen Münnich: I appreciate the products from Streugut: high-quality organic spices with a fair trade background. I learned here why you should pay attention to organic pepper (because of the more essential oils!) and why I should grind it fresh. That wasn't important to me in the past, or I wasn't aware of it. My favorite: Telly Cherry Pepper because it's the best there is. Since the coconut blossom sugar is suitable for diabetics, I like to give it away to "older" friends and make them happy, pure healthy enjoyment. A great plus: the storage pack and size of the spices. Very transparent and reliable trader.

Peter S: Special selection of really good pepper! Have the whole range at home and are very satisfied with the taste of salt, nibs and of course the pepper in white, black and green. I can particularly recommend the salt, as it is not extracted from the sea and is therefore guaranteed to be free of plastic.
Response: Thank you very much for the compliment. In the case of salt, this works quite well with the complete absence of plastic, since it is non-volatile. With spices, we have to apply a thin aroma protection layer so that the essential oils do not evaporate.

Oscar Maarsh: No hesitation to give this place a big 5 stars. They have everything to satisfy your chilli related needs. They have tons of their own homemade hot sauces, which are all so so good. You can even try them out first to get a feel for what flavours and levels of heat you're in for. Staff are super friendly and helpful. All around great shop.

Franc Monroe: Plenty of choice and very friendly and knowledgeable owner who has his own line of hot sauces. You can try some of the sauces before buying them. Also has a little Mexican groceries corner with tacos, beans, fresh chilies etc. A very nice discovery.

Grigori Borta: Pfefferhaus sells all kinds of peppers and pepper sauces you would expect: from light to extremely hot ones. There is peppered honey, spicy chips, and many other pepper infused delicatessen. There are sauces from all over the world as well. Many are available to taste before you buy. The owner is super friendly, helpful, and offers a couple of his own home-made pepper sauces. The prices are fine. Overall, I left the place in a fabulous mood after having bought a couple bottles of sauce to spice up my lunches. I would definitely recommend this place if you're into some hotness.

Ioana Constantin: Love it to bits. We bought their own brand of sauce and it was the most amazing, delicate hot sauce we have ever tasted. It was flaming but the clementine flavour and sweetness made it sooo good. Also they have The bomb at a very cheap price. I love this store! Thank you owners!
