La Buvette: what do users think?

Ekaterina Khrushch: My favorite restaurant in Berlin. Cute French bistro with great wine selection and amazing food menu. The menu is very small but every meal is special. Their steak is heaven on earth, that sauce makes me cry every time 💔 The fries are to die for! If you want to feel like you’re in Paris for an evening, come here, you won’t regret it (but better book a table in advance because it gets very busy in the evening)
Response: Thank you Ekaterina :)

Dimitris Papadimitriou: Great cozy french bistro with a nice curated wine selection. The beef tartare was AMAZING. The escargot was good but i wasn't really thrilled by it, i would recommend other options from the entrees. The steak with the estragon sauce and fries was also very well made and cooked medium rare as it should. The staff were very polite and helpful and really recommended some amazing wine options. Will definitely visit soon and try more!

H JY: I came here for the second time, also to get my last dinner at Germany cus I love mussels and fries, but the second time, they gave me soft warm fries which was not heat and crispy at all, soooo sad about that...
Response: Hey H JY, we are really sorry that our not so good fries ruined your last meal here. 😟 usually we are on top of this… We truly hope you otherwise had a nice evening still. Thank you for leaving these pretty pictures with the post. We wish all the best!!! We’ll be back on track when you come to visit 😉

Set Aoc: Great food, I liked the options and the set menu format. Ate the tartare, and cheese for after. Friendly service, good wine options. Highly recommended.

Ben Kill: La Buvette is the perfect French casual bistro in Berlin. Excellent food, wine and hospitality at very reasonable prices. We had the saucisson plate and steak tartare for starters, and an amazing confit de canard and steak (rump) frites for the main courses. They offer a 3 course dinner for 30 euro but we were too satiated to take full advantage of the full menu - next time. Cannot say enough how much we enjoyed it. The wine list is perfectly appropriate with many excellent choices. I almost don't want to publicise it too much as I want to be able to get a table there again soon! Salut!

Wynn Chen: Fries are absolutely DELICIOUS! I've gotten the steak and duck and enjoyed both. Prawns I thought were just okay.

S H: Unfortunately when I came it did not live up to my previous visit.First time I had the chicken it was so moist and flavoursome, fell off the bone, this time it was dry, no flavour, no love. Sad.

Benjaluck Fai Yuttisee: A cozy place where my French friends seem to really enjoy. Good cheese, good wine, good service. The staff was very friendly. He explained and recommended different wines in a very nice and professional manner. The food was also very tasty. The portion is not big but it was packed with flavors. The price was reasonable.

Dimitris Andronis: Lovely French wine bar!We were satisfied with what we ordered. The owner was friendly and helped us choose a nice wine pairing our food. Good service, tasty food and nice collection of wines!

Joohee Kim: L’escargot was nice and the fries nicely cut and cooked. The steak however was not good - not sure what piece was used but nevertheless that (in pic) is not a medium rare. The foie gras was a bit too cold to taste (though this is a mistake by many restaurants) and also too salty. I really did want to like this place because I live right around the corner and the menu looked very straightforward/solid...

Kate Kusnesova: Very tasty oysters. Take it and do not hesitate! Steaks are good and I recommend to try specialties at the end. All the sides can be changed, but all of them are tasty. However! The kidneys were not really good ☹️ Everything else is perfect) don’t forget to book a table 😄

Wojtek Szkutnik: Decent food, very slow service. Food-wise it’s a pretty old school classic French restaurant with all the benefits and pitfalls. The quality of the foi gras or beef was very much OK but it felt rather basic. Price was actually not too bad (100€ for appetiser, steak, dessert and wine for 1 person) The super weird thing was: only a single red wine served in 375ml, no wine by the glass. The guy working the bar referred to rose wine as red 😅 I wouldn’t call it a waste of money but I most probably won’t be back

Yuxin Liu: Food is nice. Duck confit is a bit dry but the rack of lamb is good. Would love to come back again.Food: 4/5 | Service: 4/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Anny Y: Food was super authentic and nice, atmosphere and service excellent. Dessert can be improved perhaps? (a little bit too sweet for us at least). Overall it was a really great experience! ;)

Matilde Tusberti: Very, very French. My french colleagues brought me here and they're always satisfied with the quality of food and menu choices. I personally liked it a lot. The Staff is gentle and always around for helping, never had a bad situation when interacting in English, German or French (some of them speak it). Booking is warmly suggested and it's a bit expensive for my taste, but worth it.

Karim Dernaika: Excellent French cuisine in the heart of Berlin. I tried the “Joue de veau” which just happened to be the dish of the day. The stroganoff was also delicious.

Joceline Lopez: My friend’s favorite steak house in Berlin so I’ve been here twice. There steaks are really delicious as well as their matchbox fries and potatoes. They are always understaffed though so it’s difficult to get the waiters attention when they’re running around the restaurat

Rene Vinderslev / REMIRI: OMG This is the best French brasserie I have tried in a long time, for sure the best I have been at outside France ... when you enter the door, everything is just French atmosphere... love it !! The food is something for it self ... just perfect made and the waiters are very great also l. Do I have to write about the vine ? No also very good ( even that I’m normally more to Italien vine ) good choice from the very nice guy that served my table.

Yosi Fischer: Excelente service by Rashid, with great dishes of beef, fries, and vegetables plus delicious desserts. Not to expensive and portions are generous

Chris Andrews: Great French food in the heart of Berlin. Escargot were delicious. Mussels were a bit strong at first but eventually blended fantastically with the wine, creme, and thyme. Classic true French frites. Service was cordial.

Clemens Jungmair: Definitely order the Chateaubriand 1000g at medium rare. It was one of the best steaks I have ever tried! The other cuts were good but not outstanding. Moreover, the waiter was really nice and helpful!

Julian Brandt: I have visited this restaurant twice and unfortunately have not had much luck so far. When I first visited in march 2020 the food was delicious, however, I ended up with food poisoning due to a bad oyster. On my second visit the food was alright. Good steaks, oysters were fresh. Starters, sides and desserts were all quite delicious. Cocktails are on a very high level with some delicious options. However, the service would have been subpar for a mid-level-restaurant, for a restaurant at this price range it was simply disappointing. Despite having ordered a considerable amount, the service was slow, inattentive, and it felt like we were a burden to the waiting staff. The food is solid, the atmosphere is fine and the interior is interesting. However, for a place where you easily spend around 500€ for two people, the service and food are simply not good enough. Might try this place again in a year or so but from my past experiences I can not really recommend it.

Miri Varbitzky: If you're looking for a decent piece of meat, amazing wine selection and a feeling of a French bistro, this place is for you.Great service and we'll prepared dishes.Highly recommended 👌Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

sophie astahov: Absolutely amazing food. Quite pricey but the quality of the meat and fish is truly devine. The staff was also very kind. If you're coming during busy hours,be patient because we waited close to an hour for our main dishes (was definitely worth it)

Aja Jane: Nice restaurant with a beautiful view on the spree. The food is great quality but it didn’t blow us away. We had the seafood platter, which had very high quality seafood (especially the oysters, which were amazing). However everything was paired with strong toppings like wasabi, cheese, and pepper salsa, when we would have preferred for the seafood to shine through. We also got a couple sides which were very good. The service was good, nothing to complain about, but nothing special to compliment either. Inside there are neon lights of… genitals… which I found so strange and off putting, especially compared to the calm decorations in the rest of the place. Overall it was a good experience, however next time we want to go to a nice restaurant we will probably try somewhere else.

Tomás Fonseca: Good restaurant that serves a wide variety of meat, fish and seafood dishes. The place is quite big inside and it was around 50% capacity when we went. Posh place in Berlin where the food is definitely good but not worth the high price that is costs. The meat was good but the sides better somehow

Benjaluck Fai Yuttisee: The food was excellent. Seafood was fresh and yummy. Meat was very tender. Fries were just right. Even plain looking veggies were delicious. Service was as fine. The only turn off was a very rude group of customers who were very loud and acted uncivilized. Unexpected experience in such a place.

Ramon Moorlag: Excellent location for dinner. Eating here is always high-class with a personal touch. It's fun to see how the staff enjoy working here. They know the menu and the resident sommelier knows the wines and how they combine with the dishes.

Linda Irene Solfjell: Very nice, big!, place, at the shore of the Spree. Our waiter was super nice, but some miscommunication made some weird servings regarding drinks. I'm not gonna hold that against the place - the food was excellent!

Antonija Tadic: I visited this place for first time yesterday. It is a top luxury place with fine dinning. We were 5 peoples and we ordered side dishes like: - spinach - pire - salad - burata - some beans with trufa (amazing dish) - fish - meat Everything was really delicious and taste of vegetables is amazing. We got recommended to drink cocktail - smashed basil. So refreshing and delicious. Deserts were amazing. It is expensive place but worth the hipe. We had amazing time.

Natalie Craig: My partner and I both ordered the ribeye and they were cooked to perfection. We were amazed at how cheap the prices were compared to the amazing quality and size of the steak! We also enjoyed the sides and last but not least the cheesecake was the perfect end to the meal. We will definitely be back again!!
Response: Thank you so much. We really looking forward to welcome you again.

М К: This is one one of the best places I have ever tried for the steaks! Fully recommend to everyone. And Stephan, the waiter, performed on the top. So when you are there, call Stephan and he will organize for you best wine and meet
Response: Many thanks for the great rating. It was our pleasure. We look forward to your next stay.

J R: Good steaks, nice Ambiente but not one of the best in Berlin. Let's start with the interior. Its downstairs and somehow not really cozy. The tables and chairs are ok and the brick wall should give a warm atmosphere...but, maybe because of the layout, it's just not great. Waitress are very polite and try their best to serve you. The menu offers a great selection of meat, side orders and deserts. We had a classic Rib Eye steak. The meat was good and side orders were fresh and tasty. So overall: it's a good place to eat a nice steak. It's a bit to expensive for the overall quality, that's why 4 stars only.
Response: Thanks for your review.

phil smith: Really a „worth the trip“ dining experience. We ordered 2 starters to share, 1 porterhouse (1.3kg) to share and 2 sides. Definitely enough food for two hungry people. The steak was grilled to perfection and truly reflected the carefully chosen quality of the beef! Make sure to take a look into the excellent wine list which has a strong US wine section. There are a few rare pinot noirs that are hard to find in Berlin. Also the whisky selection (about 140 different kinds!) is stunning. The cool and very helpful service make this a really nice casual/fine dining experience.
Response: Thank you very much for your great review. It was a pleasure for us to have you as guests. We look forward to welcoming you again.

Kelvin Chin: I was looking for good American steaks and this place delivered. Good ambience, great service and most of all amazing steaks cooks exactly the way I ordered. In addition, the cocktails were perfectly concocted and the 2 bottles of red were just as good. Not cheap but worth every cent. Will go back again.
Response: Hello Kelvin, Thanks a lot for your 5 star rating. It was a pleasure to having you. We looking forward to welcoming you again. Cheers, The Brooklyn Team

Morten Ratje: One of the best steaks I've gotten in Berlin. Will definitely come againFood: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Response: Thank you so much😃

Simon Schick: Best Steak I had in Berlin with a diverse selection of starters, sides, deserts, whisky and great ambient. Can get a little hazy in the summer it's also not cheap!
Response: Thank you.

olivier GOZLAN: Great joint with awesome cuts and velvety wines. Absolute NYC twist .We‘ll come back.
Response: Thanks a million 😃

Anders Svensson: Very good steaks and awesome meatlist. Good wines a littel to pricey but l will come back any day in the week

Michele Mccloud: The food was amazing ,as good as Luger in Brooklyn NY , the atmosphere is classic NY city and would recommend this fine dining experience. Stephen the waiter was so professional and knowledgeable on all the steaks that he recommended the perfect cut for each of us . If your in Berlin don’t miss an opportunity BOOK .
Response: Thank you so much. It was our pleasure. Hope to see you next time.

Brechts Steakhaus: what do users think?

Nils: The food was in an outstanding quality. However, instead of medium ordered meat it was mostly provided rare. Additionally, the restaurant was very cold which limited the overall impression. Finally the quality of the meat compared to the is making a visit only optional if you have enough money and don't know what to do with it. (Drinks were very expensive)

Tech Zilla: Exquisite steak house, it is located next to the river in Mitte Berlin, the restaurant window has a display of different aged meats that are mouth watering, I had the dry aged Argentina steak which was delicious. There are a couple of vegetarian dishes but really this is a meat lover’s paradise. My steak was delicious and the chunky chips were perfect, great wine selection to accompany your dish too. The outside area over looks the river and at night can get chilly but everyone has a blanket on the back of the seat to keep warm if needed. There’s a large seating are inside the restaurant as well as outside so something for everyone. It’s a very romantic atmosphere and a great place to go on a date, the prices are reasonable for the excellent quality of food and drinks that are served. I highly recommend Brechts Steakhaus to anyone looking for a tasty evening with brilliant friendly atmosphere. @Brechtssteakhaus

Kunal Saigal: Excellent steakhaus! Our server Marc took fantastic care of us and my guests from India! Every dish ordered was top class! Especially the Pomernarian steak :)

Felix Nathanael Rompis: Not worth it! If you’re looking for a proper steakhouse - avoid this place. Ordered an Entrecôte Medium Rare. Was offered a mostly Well Done piece of meat. When I had this sent back, the kitchen chef had the audacity to reject my return - claiming that cooking on the lava stone meant that parts of the steak would always be more done than others. Well mate- then i don’t think you know how to (a) cut a steak, (b) cook on a lava stone, and (c) run a service business.

Lucas Dean: It seemed like a great steakhouse, we was seated immediately. The staff initially was friendly and accommodating, however, we soon found this to be a lie after our first drinks order. We ordered a bottle of wine and it took 4 times to remind the waiter to bring what we ordered to our table. We then waited 2 hours for the food after asking a waiter how long for the food only to be replied to and I quote ‘I don’t know’ and walked off. Please don’t eat here, I’d rather give my money to someone who has class and cares for their costumers.

James Birch: Deserves zero reviews from me! In October I made a reservation for the new year meal.Today I messaged them too make sure it was still happening? Good job I did as I would of got there for them too tell me they are fully booked?

Leon ZZ: Very good restaurant! Waiters are nice and food was very tasty! We took the basic burger and asked for it to be "medium". Took around 20-25 minutes to get the food and It was little bit to the "well" side and that's why I rated 4 stars. Beer was great! Not cheap but worth the price.

Sébastien Michaud: Two things to highlight: 1. Friend and I both got the dry rip agent which was a 250g cut of meat and was priced at €15, not the prime cuts. When we ask the waiter for the discrepancy (it’s €40 on the bill) he took out the menu and showed the tiny ‘ab 100g’ somewhat near the ‘€15 ‘. So: on the menu they showed the 100g price despite the fact that you only had the option to get the 250g (they didn’t even ask how many grams we wanted). 2. We got a bottle. French wine. On the menu it was a 2015. They brought a 2019 and hoped we wouldn’t notice. My friend is French so he spotted. The year’s on the bottles are just a marketing gimmick catered to an audience that doesn’t pay attention. Conclusion: little subtle things a restaurant does to squeeze as much money from you. I have attached the bill to this message so you can all have an idea of price and making an autonomous decision accordingly. Food quality? Acceptable. Price / food ratio: highest I’ve seen in Berlin. Service? Seemed nice but ultimately dishonest. As my usual left a 10% tip but not going there again.

_thesoso_: Restaurant located directly at the Spree with a simply amazing view! Didn't order a main course, just drinks and salads, but wanted to thank the friendly staff for their kind service☺. Would definitely revisit next time! Five stars 🌟 👌🏽!

Paulo Manzano: Food ok and nice positioned close to the river, but the staff today (25/08/2022) at 17:00 treats you like they are doing a favor. The worse was when asked for the bill the man just said the value from the machine without showing the itens, when asked the paper to check, he laughed ironically.

Brasserie Am Gendarmenmarkt: what do users think?

bruce hutson: A chilly night in Berlin(it is December), we found ourselves gazing into the welcoming warm interior of Brasserie Am Gendarmenmarkt, and we were actually seated immediately. As much as English is spoken in Berlin, it is still a moment when a server, or store person has that, ”switch language”, moment. I can make myself understood, with long pauses as my brain translates, and the situation works out. There is nothing quite as enjoyable as shedding layers of winter coats and scarves and feeling the warmth coming from the room, along with the amazing smells of well prepared food. And we were taken with both. No hurry, the wild mushroom soup was warming and so tasty, each spoonful kept the flavors of the previous taste. The steak frites was perfection in medium rare, with herbed butter melting slowly down the sides. The frites were thick but light with just enough crunch. The staff is professional and smiling and wished us a good evening as we left. If you find yourself around the Gendarmenmarkt, find yourself here. It is so worth it
Response: Thank you Bruce for your gracious words! It is always an honour to serve guests who appreciate our work. Team Brasserie Gendarmenmarkt

Al: It's ok. Nothing too special but a bit pricey since it caters to the working crowd. Though what we didn't like was that the waitress just flat out ignored us because we did not give a tip. There are better spots around the Markt.
Response: Dear Al, we are very sorry that you were not satisfied. With us, however, no guest is ignored, even if there is no tip. Team Brasserie at Gendarmenmarkt

Sono Uno: We had Swordfish and Steak and frittes. Both were fantastic and the atmosphere was great. Art deco intererior is beautiful and the service was attentive. This restaurant is one of the best in Berlin and better than its rating. I would highly recommend this restaurant for somebody looking for style, exceptional food, all without the loud and noisy crowd.
Response: Wow! Thank you Sono for the nice words and 5 Stars. Team Brasserie am Gendarmenmarkt

Homer Dong: Nice place for business lunch, the place has some old world charm to reflect its location. The food is decent for Franco and DACH classic dishes such as steak tartare and Viennese schnitzel. But otherwise you don't much refresh of the menu. The wine list can also be improved for a Brasserie.Food: 4/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Nougat Ice Cream with Hazelnut Cake and Cassis Pear …More
Response: Dear Homer, thank you for your words and 4 stars :-) Team Brasserie Gendarmenmarkt.

Gilles W.: I went there for Silvester. The food and service were excellent. The prices are appropriate. I can recommend it.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Response: Thank You Gilles for your words and 5 Stars! Team Brasserie Gendarmenmarkt

Ryan Stevens: Best food I had while in Berlin! Went here 2 nights in a row for dinner. It was delicious every time! Wish we had one in London! Can’t stop thinking about the seafood soup!
Response: Dear Ryan, that's a nice compliment! Thank you for the 5 stars :-) Warm regards and see you very soon. Your team at the Brasserie am Gendarmenmarkt

Sergio Jimenez: Nice place. Food was ok. I got a soup very good. The meet not very taste. Alao delay a lot the service when you order. The ambient isVery nice!!

Matthew Styles-Harris: Food was okay but overpriced. Service was poor had a table at 21h. After our main course was finished we were not offered any desert or coffee and informed the kitchen was closed at 2150. Had to chase to get the bill as all staff seemed absent from 2145. Pity as used to be a regular spot with good service and food but now seems they don’t care. Edit: Please note the restaurant denying culpability here. Seems they don’t care to take honest constructive criticism of their service. Unfortunately I have to restate this is an honest reflection of their service that they prefer to call me a liar here than admit their own internal failings. BAD!
Response: Dear Matthew, it's a shame that it wasn't a successful brasserie visit from your point of view. We use regional products to cook sustainably. This has its price, as you will have noticed in the supermarket. We have a professional service every day that serves our guests courteously. Unfortunately, what you are writing here has not been the case. With us, no one has to run after anyone. Our guests are always asked for dessert and coffee, which also contributes to our economic success. We wish you all the best and maybe see you soon! M. Al Khn: The quality of the food falls way behind the price they charge for. Undercooked, terrible, without a taste, made wrong; I can’t describe it in any other way.
Response: Dear M., we are very sorry to hear that. Team Brasserie am Gendarmenmarkt

Eken: Really good food. We had flamkuchen (kind of pizza from Alsace/Ellsass) as stater two (one Mediterranean and one Traditional) to split among six and that was perfect. Then we had Chateaubriand with various side orders and sauce Bearnaise. I recommend the beans and bacon as side. All in all very good food but I think the service is a bit lame.

Midtown Grill: what do users think?

Melika G: One of the best steaks I’ve had in Berlin. The food was so delicious and nice atmosphere. Really enjoyed every part of my meal.

Anna: I seem to disagree with common Berlin ratings. We stayed in Marriot, hence had two breakfasts and one dinner here. The breakfasts were very solid, lots of tasty options and of course, gluten free bread available upon request. The dinner was spectacular. We were given three types of spreads as a starter (liked them a lot!), then our order followed. Steaks were very good, the bearnaise was absolutely exceptional. We also enjoyed the baked potato and a seasonal side of white asparagus, which was ok. I'd definitely come back again!

Sahar Ben Shushan: Nice fancy restaurant. The food is really really good, especially that tarter starter. The price is high according to the vibe and food, but, totally worth it.

officialgetfresh: For a restaurant in a hotel this one took the cake. They accept card and I recommend getting there before the huge rush because it gets busy. The food here was phenomenal the pricing can be a bit on the higher side. Meanwhile the staff was very attentive. Until later in the night and it took about 30 minutes to get the check. I went with the lamb and red sauce. It was very tender and the sauce didn't have to much of a flavor but fitted well. The baked potato was delicious. Its like they blended it all up and then rebaked it to be perfect. The dessert though. That was something I would go back for. It was sticky toffee pudding and it's different from others I tried. It was an espresso shot with condensed milk. Side of ice cream and then the cake with the toffee inside mixed all that together and wow. For the review I got to give it to our waiter. He recommended us most of our meals. Even added an extra appetizer of the bread with hummus and spread but the best was the beef. We got two of those. I would give this place a 8.2 out of 10 on that 🔥 scale. For the staff being as awesome as they were and the food being great. It's a place you should try. For future travel and food adventures follow my Instagram @officialgetfresh

JB: I was staying in the hotel close by and decided to have a steak for the evening. Service Decent customer service but it did take awhile for the food to come. Wasn't a big amount of people at the time either. Food Ordered the Gentlemen's cut Argentinan steak with fries and broccoli. I ordered the steak medium but got more of a medium rare as the meat was very thick in the middle. Even with the Herbed butter the steak flavor was lacking and bland. Broccoli was heavily salted and I have a salty palate which made it inedible. Fries were the only thing that was good. The appetizers were ok but wasn't really feeling it. Recommendation This was by far one of the worst steaks I've had in my life. Definitely recommend going somewhere else.

Victoria Gavrilina: Love it! Atmosphere is great, personal polite and attentive. Food quality is hight. Tonight i remembered why i love Hugo so much😊 thank you, Midtown Grill team!

Debrasso Magazin: we dined in, and the service was very attentive. The food was good to - very good. Well layed out buffet, the dessert, was very tasty. A nice evening indeed, not cheap though. Vegetarian options: plenty of salads and stuffing, very tasty

Alex Joseph: I ordered a 200g ribeye for lunch. The seasoning was fantastic and my medium order came as a medium. The star of the show was however the sweet potato fries. I'm not bejng hyperbolic when I say they were the best I've ever had. So good that the other 3 members of the party tucked in to mine and we had to order 2 more portions. 5/5!Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Moritz Rebic: We discovered this place on Friday on DiscoEat and went again on Sunday for the All You Can (M)Eat brunch. We really loved the place and the service. Both Sri on Friday as well as the lovely waitress on Sunday were super friendly. The food was really good and because we enjoyed a discount, we ordered a few appetizers and a bottle of wine and some other drinks extra. We figured we may as well use our saving to try some more things. On Sunday, it was a buffet style brunch. We had a 30% discount but in the end still paid 200 EUR for 5 people (because we tipped a lot as the service was great). We had some issues with the bill at first, but it was fixed by one of their employees quickly. Will definitely come back to try more of their great menu!
Response: Dear Moritz Rebic, many thanks for your kind words. I have taken the liberty and have shared your comments withMartina, Sri and the entire teams of service and kitchen. They are very happy to hear that all their daily efforts are so well received. Hope to see you again soon. Thank you again, Melanie Klatt & team

Anna Kaczmarek: Amazing food and great service. Food is not only delicious but is also presented in a fantastic way. Waiting time seemed a bit too long, went there for business lunches 3 days in a row and always got the food almost an hour from entering. Also, got my side way later than my main dish. Overall, I really enjoyed it.

Crackers: what do users think?

Mark Kennedy: Excellent meal at Crackers! One of the best steaks. Great salad and drinks. Awesome fries, and delicious cheesecake. Service was good also. Being from the U.S., I’m very picky on meat quality and prep in Europe and when I travel. Great music and atmosphere as well. This restaurant definitely meets my high standards. Highly recommend.

Tamta: We had a company dinner at the private room upstairs. Crackers has a cool open kitchen and stylish design. Waiters were attentive and we felt well-taken care of. Food tasted delicious - starters to dessert. Definitely recommend to visit

Disht Advani: The amusing entrance to the restaurant is coupled with a serene atmosphere, tasty cocktails and good food. After almost walking past the somewhat hidden entrance, we walked in to find a totally delightful place. But the staff can definitely be more attentive. It took us 25 minutes before we ended up ordering but after that everything was very nice. All in all cool 😎

Lisa Beuter (Lola-Berlin): This place has a really cool entrance. It is a unremarkable black door with the word Crackers on it, if you don’t search for it, you will miss it. After that, you go trough a hallway with blank beton walls, before entering trough the blue tiled Kitchen. The service is great, the food is good, especially the brioche! But the ambiance is the best part. It feels like a secret, like you slipped in time and space and now you’re in spy movie and have a secret dinner meeting. This place is great if you want something special or if you have secret affair or probably if you’re secret agent for real.

Olivier VanderLuppen: Nice restaurant. We’ve been an evening where it was a bit crowded. Service was quiet slow, we were a big table, 16 persons, but getting the dishes simultaneously was a challenge for the kitchen.

Tyler Colburn: The entrance is very interesting (hard to find at first, because it’s inconspicuous). Feels like you’re about to enter some underground club - very Berlin. The vibe of the restaurant is cool and comfortable, and the music was good. The cocktails were decent (we had dirty martinis, Negronis, and espresso martinis to end the meal). Food was just ok. Nothing we had was bad, and the presentation was great, aside from the chicken dish (which looked like an open face fried chicken sandwich with chopped lettuce on top), but nothing was outstanding or memorable enough to want to come back. We spent 300€ for two people for dinner, so it wasn’t cheap. Have had better meals for that price, so probably wouldn’t return, but overall an ok meal if you’re looking for something decent in that area.

Santa Clause: It is a nice place with good decoration and atmosphere. However, the food is not worthy at all. The cream for the bread is not good one. Ox cheek, pretty salty source. Dessert are just so so. I also saw someone’s comment that it is not enough if you just order the main dish. But I felt so full for the ox cheek, I think that is because it was too salty so I didn’t have appetite to eat more. In conclusion, it is not worthy to spend 50 Euros per person with this kind of food.

Josue Villamar: Nice fine dinning restaurant. Interesting deceiving entry. Nice staff food is great. I’ll recommend to check the menu first to be sure to know what they have as things seems to be seasonal.

Klaudia L: The entrance is subtle, creating excitement from first step. As you walk through the maze of corridors a unique and impressive space awaits. Dark, moodie and grand at the same time. The service friendly, attentive but could be more knowledgeable. The food is unfortunately the problem. Seasoning and flavour missing on every plate. The tiger milk Hamachi missing the promised chilly, which would give the dish some depth. Tatar blend but nicely plated. Brioche served cold and a bit stale. The steak a highlight cooked to perfection. The Cracker chips, forgettable. The ox cheek very tender, missing salt at cooking stage. The choice of mixing the red cabbage which would have perfectly cut through the richness of the cheek was mixed with mash, making for an interesting mush that did nothing to the plate. It really was show over substances.

kangaroogirl88: I mean, it’s not the place where you go and pretend that you’re going to spend little money, it’s expensive, but you’ll get delicious food. The meat was all sourced locally and was cooked beautifully - like everything. The only thing that I didn’t enjoy too much was the chocolate dessert with chocolate ice cream. The chocolate ice cream had ice cristals in it. And from all the things I ate, it was the only one that I’d give 3 out of 5 stars. Everything else is 5 stars out of 5 😉 Reservation is a must.

Anuk Bambook: Expectations were met. Dishes are prepared with great respect of the local seasonal products and beautiful, mindful way of working with them. Wine pairing also was beautifully composed.

Linh Nguyen: We had excellent service when we were there. The waiter was very caring and wanted to make sure everything was okay. He didn't give us that uptight feeling that you sometimes get when you go out for fine dining. It was a classy but relaxed atmosphere. The food was just delicious - I really liked everything, even the pigeon :)

Yves Creutz: No one cooks like Marco Müller! This creative cuisine is made with the highest quality products and unexpected pairings, providing a unique dining experience. You'll receive superb service, as you would in a three-star restaurant.

Dave Zhang: An intimate and didactic experience albeit a bit long (4.5hr). Be prepared to give your attention to not only the food but the ingredients, preparation and meaning behind each course. Truly deserving of 3 Michelin stars and the green star!

Stefan Haupthoff: So many ingriedients combined to such tasteful & flavoured recipes but still main ingriedent with intense taste. Was also suprised by a mix of younger and older guests. Service was great w/o any akward attitude. Highly recommanded.

Robert Peveling-Oberhag: I took my head chef and Sous chef to this restaurant as a Christmas gift and boi: we were happy. Such a relaxed atmosphere paired with mind blowing food. Everyone working in this place seems to enjoy themselves which makes for such a happy environment. Thanks a lot

Shuhei M: Unfortunately a very disappointing experience; ingredients are nothing special, way too many ingredients that I don’t know what I’m tasting, service mediocre, not worth the price. Don’t want to be judgmental but clientele was also very homogeneous: older affluent looking German people, which I believe says something as well 😬 I will not come back!

Ondrej: We came without any prior knowledge of the restaurant apart from the fact that they have recently been promoted to three Michelin stars. So we chose the six course inspiration menu and just leaned back curious to see what the evening will bring. We were blown away! The dishes served are complex, almost intellectual but at the same time very approachable and mighty delicious. No dogma is being followed either, it's hard to pin the cuisine down. It's in a sense regional as it fits Berlin quite well, but also doesn't shun away from incorporating luxury ingredients like Kaluga caviar, truffle or langoustines. The service team is amazing and guides through the evening with great enthusiasm. Big shout out to the sommeliere and the wonderfully curated wine list. Long story short, if you are looking for a cosmopolitan culinary experience, go here. Maybe one last information: They focus on the main restaurant, so the Rutz wine bar is currently out of operation.

Alon Shnayderman: Perfect perfect perfect ! So many flavors! Best restaurant I've been in.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Sanne Hanegraaf: The best food experience i’ve ever had, no doubt. The service staff were able to make an outstanding balance of personal and formal approach. And if you don’t drink alcohol, like me, the team have found the most delicious alternative.Different preparations, structures and tastes. Just like the food. Absolutely phenomenal.

Lucia Rodriguez: To be honest, for the quality of food they offer, and the service they provide, it’s overpriced. If everything 25%~35% less it would be ok. Staff is friendly but the food takes way too long to arrive, additionally, we asked for starters as well as main courses and they all arrived together. The schnitzel had a good size, but was very thin, flavour wise was not very special. The meat was in was correctly medium rare but not well seasoned.

Yana Dragula: I really love this place. Possibility for walk in without reservation and have this food 🔥 Nice Austria wine selection also with some natural wine producers. Very romantic atmosphere inside with some more casual on a terrace. Menu slightly changes with seasons but their classics always stay. The meat is great as well as quite a big portion of tartar. One of the best schnitzel in the city as well. From cons: please be prepared that you can’t split the bill.

Kai Onno Hetzke: Fantastic steakhouse with simple, but lovely interior and friendly service. Especially the kitchen crew was awesome! Steak was great and good value.

Ivan Turianytsia: Stylish meat restaurant in place of an old butchery. The menu is short and sweet. If you’re not in a steak mood, try schnitzel with traditional potato and cucumber salad. The shrimps are great as well.

yasmine: one of the best restaurants in berlin!every dish was amazing, we were not even the slightest bit disappointed!i recommend the grilled shrimps, the burata, the rump steak & the kale risotto!

Robin Pokorny: The restaurant holds to its name, the meat is delicious! We were 6 and ordered some steaks for sharing. And I like the looks and feels of the place!

Andreas Schmidt: If you like steak, this is the place for you.Been numerous times and have never had a bad night out here. The food was consistently delicious.

Erol Uray: Nice atmosphere and cool place. Service was friendly. Steak tartare was very nice. The fillet was nice as well. The fries were not great. We did wait about 45 minutes for the main course to arrive though.

jennifer limber: Excellent place for beef! Love this place. Food, service and atmosphere all great. Highly recommended.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Isadora Klene: Best steak I’ve eaten since being in Argentina 😭 melted in my mouth. You can taste the quality and cooking expertise! The service was amazing, super friendly staff (big shout out to Dustin!!) and will definitely go back soon

George‘s Steakhouse: what do users think?

Thavyness: We came here for dinner after a long afternoon of shopping. We were 4 adults and 3 kids. I was in love with the decor of the restaurant, very classy and chic. And we were told that they were doing some renovations. Well, we wouldn’t have know if we were not informed about the renovations. Food The steaks were delicious and the kids also enjoyed their dinner. I am not a fan of black toilets but the restroom was super clean. Suggestion for Improvement Reason I deducted 1 star is because our waiter was not wearing a mask. Our unvaccinated daughter pointed this out since she is very conscious of the risks and is diligently wearing her mask. Other than that, we did have great service from the waiter!

Blair Flanagan: The restaurant had all the trappings of being a very nice place to eat. The waiting staff were attentive. That where it ended. I ordered the 300g ribeye at 53 Euros. It looked the part but it was full of sinue and gristle. It became inedible. This was accompanied by a very average Malbec / Cabernet Sauvignon. I was offered another fillet steak but had no appetite for more. Disappointing.

Samaneh Nasihatkon: I like the behaviour of the waiter, he was so kind and friendly, I was there alone and he was there whenever I asked for anything. The important and positive thing is they leave the menu with you, some restuarants take it away after you order, I like to have the menu until the end, maybe I want to order something else. The food was really good and delicious, as the menu was in German, I just order via the picture on their instagram profile. The salad was perfect. As I have eaten so much, I had to ask for my food to take away and they pack it very nicely.

Johnny Damkjær Rasmussen: Fantastic service and really great food! We had most likely the best beef tartare I have ever tasted, freshly chopped and prepared at our table, followed by dry aged steaks cooked to perfection! Service this evening was over and beyond!

Kirk Taylor: Slow service, but when the food arrived, it was absolutely bloody Lovely . Perfectly cooked steak, with amazing gorgonzola sauce, and excellent sides. Worth a visit if in Berlin for more than a couple of nights. 🥩🥩

Lieven Swinnen: Enjoyed the dinner and good service. It was nice they have a kids menu so also the youngest one had something she could enjoy.

Fabrizio Ottini: Great argentin angus in a beautiful placeFood: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Kurt Pfaender: Most tender steak I have had in a long time. Good atmosphere and very friendly wait staff.

Benson Weingarten: Good afternoon... I was today by George's Steskhouse with three friends. I had ordered Ceasers Salad. It was the most delicious salad I ever had. It was large and tasty. Dressing was perfect. Mimo the waiter does an outstanding service. I guarente I will be back! Best wishes Benson Weingarten Ceasers Salad with chicken breast. Supet

True. Ama: Very clean and beautiful place… lovely ambiance…splendid..♥️ vip customer service.. classic environment.. the stake was 💯.. on point… the tomatoes soup 🥣…. the starters… I loved it all…then the Israel red wine…💯💯

Tomek Dabrowski: Outstanding steak cut and very well prepared, exactly as ordered. On top of that a great atmosphere to watch WC22 while having a nice dinner, perfect watching experience. Heidi Elhawary: I've been looking for a decent steakhouse for quite some time now and boy, did I find it! The meat was so tender and juicy, perfect cook and plenty of sides to choose from. You've got to try their cheesecake as well, true New York style. Staff was friendly and speak both English and German. The only downside is you can only pay with an EC card but I'm willing to let that one slide for another bite of their steaks.

곽민수: Pablo was great!!!!I'll come back with my girlfriend somedayThank you for your kindnessSteak was perfect

Haim Shimony: It's a tourist trap, but it's a nice one. First of all, they get only cash, which is weird concidering the prices in this place, which are very high. The food is mediocre, really. I expected to be blown away but I think that if I hadn't drank so much wine I would have been really disapointed. The meat is of inferior quality, so is it's making. The cuts are unwquale in thickness, which is a big mistake in meat prep. It's one of those rare times that I needed to use sauce to make the steak better. Nonetheless, service was great and so is the atmosphere. I just wish I didn't need to pay 70 euros for a steak, just for the atmosphere.

Matteo Maso: It has a nice atmosphere, it reminds me a south America vibe. The menu has a strong direction on meat 🍖, which is very good, it is also possible to find octopus 🐙, and a couple of vegetarian options. 🍷they also provide a good selection of wine, especially Red that goes perfectly with meat. The price is aligned with the service and the food you receive. Only cons is that they accept only cash or EC card.

Kendal smales: Pablo was crazy happy. We loved being in his company and the food was amazing :) We adored being here on our last night in Berlin! Highly recommend.

Andres Perez: I’m so happy we decided to watch the World Cup Final here. The quality of the food is outstanding and the service impecable. Pablito es un fenómeno!!! Very much recommended

Carlos Carvalho: Very nice food well cooked right in the spot Portuguese coffee expresso Delta very nice excelent service

Cory B: Had an amazing T-bone steak, grilled vegetables and starter salad. A bit pricey, but the food made it worth it. The staff was very pleasant, and made the experience that much more enjoyable. I requested a table for one, and got placed in a private corner... overall atmosphere was great. Highly recommend this restaurant. I wish I could remember my waiters name, but he was the best.

Erika Mencia: Delicious food and outstanding service. Pablo is simply amazing! He made sure we felt right at home and almost convinced us to move to Germany. Definitely a must! Cozy, large portions and a great selection of wine.

BLOCK HOUSE Am Alexanderplatz: what do users think?

Hafsa Tariq: Really amazing steaks justifying the price point. Cooked to perfection. The only thing I felt was the taste of the meat could have been heightened a bit. I would have liked a bit stronger flavor. But cooked to perfection! Hearty meal! Would love to try their burgers as well.
Response: Thank you.

Jeffrey Barker: Wow. What an excellent steakhouse this place is! After two years and a dozen countries in Europe, we were beginning to lose hope that we’d find a great steakhouse. Block House was excellent. The service was excellent. The venue was tastefully decorated and lit. There really isn’t anything to complain about here. About the only thing that would’ve made it better would’ve been to get our meal for free. If you’re in Berlin and want a great steak, there’s probably no place better than here. Come hungry!
Response: Dear Jeffrey, we are very happy about the praise and the great rating. Thank you very much!

Yuji Horimoto: Great place, great vibe, great service. If you really need to have a steak, sure why not. Is it the best steak ever? Not really. It doesn't hold up to a NYC dry age prime ribeye. But they do a good job cooking a steak.

Yoav Aviv: Amazing service, host already ordering the beer for you, which came 3 minutes later, following by taking my order within another 2 minutes. 5 min. later my french onion soup came which is the best I have ever had!!! 10 minutes after I finished my soup the American Tenderloin arrived with the baked potato!!! Just amazing guys, so delicious, precisely grilled and the service is amazing! They leave no room for mistakes! The restaurant is full house with another 50 people waiting for their table outside, but once you're sitting, you feel like the whole restaurant staff is there just for you!!!
Response: Dear Yoav Aviv, we read your review with pleasure and are very happy that you are so satisfied. Thank you for the great review and see you next time. :-)

Zeren Cavdar: If you are a tourist, you should definitely come here for the service. Thank you Thomas for your warm and kind service, you made us feel welcomed to Berlin on our last evening. Kids also had good time with colouring pictures and a nice kids menu. Restaurant is very cozy with good beer and food.
Response: Dear Zeren, we are very happy about the praise and the great rating. Thank you very much!

Moustapha Mahmoud: A classic steakhouse. Service was fast and friendly. We had the Mr and Mrs Rumpsteakes. Meat was perfectly cooked, tender and very well seasoned. The garlic bread was delicious, fries and baked potatoes were also very tasty all this with a very healthy salad. We were served by a super nice lady with german humour. I totally recommend.

Okan Sayan: Very tasty meats. A nice restaurant in the city centre. Salads, sauces and meats are delicious. Staff is friendly. Toilets are clean. The restaurant is comfortable and nice environment. We paid 90€ for 2 people including tip. Prices are open to interpretation. Many people prefer this restaurant. There are always many customers in the restaurant.

Bing: The (tall) guy who served us was really polite, friendly and nice. I'm not fan of salad but i was able to finish the salad they served. Wine was good and all. The rib-eye though is not the best. Did not feel much of the taste. The ambience of the place is good. Wveryone is friendly. Overall, i will recommend it to friends.

Angelica angi: Recommended! Nice and various steak menus. I ordered T bone steak, it’s came with potato, fresh salad, bread and garlic butter. Very good service, nice dinner with a beer.

Efe Cüneyt Yalınkılıç: It was great. We waited at the door for a bit because it was full inside, but not more than 5-10 minutes and the person responsible for taking customers in was very kind. The service was very good and the food was delicious. The only thing that can be improved is the size of the meals.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

soba noodles: It's a bit pricey, but wonderfully delicious! The outside sitting area is very green and almost next to the river. Very quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Service is friendly and fast. Any dish can be converted to gluten free with their self-made bread for a small surcharge.
Response: Wow, thank you!

Zoe McArthur: Really lovely brunch spot. I had the pancakes and bacon - it had the most delicious syrup that really complemented everything. Fluffy pancakes and crispy bacon was the perfect brunch for a cold day. The staff were really helpful and using masks. Atmosphere of the place makes you feel really homey with a fun selection of music playing (fleetwood Mac, Bowie and some 50s hits thrown in).
Response: Dear Zoe, thank you for your words. We are happy you liked it so much. All the best, take care, SPINDLER

Attila: Amazing flair, very good food and well designed interior. However, service is so bad that we won’t go back and I would not recommend anyone doing so either. There are at least 10 staff but we waited 20 minutes for our coffee and another 20 for the food to arrive. Waiters have iPads to work with but somehow not all will take your order. Very confusing and this just doesn’t work, especially if you come with children, sorry.
Response: Hey Attila, yes we had a few days where it was a bit confusing with new employees. We noticed it and worked on it. There was one shift where many employees were new due to illness and that shift was actually "confusing". A sincere "sorry for that" all the best to you, SPINDLER

Lena Bakman: The restaurant is really nice and fancy. The menu is not too big but the courses are special, the steak was absolutely delicious and so is the chocolate dessert. The location is romantic, on the river in Kreuzberg.
Response: Hey Lena, thank you so much for your reco. Great that you liked it. Greetings, SPINDLER

Markéta Damm: Delicious food, very nice and friendly staff. The environment is also super nice, decorated with lights, separating you a bit from the outside usual kreuzberg:D as you can see in the overview it's bit pricier menu but I think the experience is worth the splurge 🤗
Response: Hi Market, thank you very much. Greetings, SPINDLER

Karim Dernaika: The is quite an expensive restaurant for the limited menu items they offer, however of the few choices we had, I have to say they were delicious, the fillet was cooked to perfection. The desserts were not bad too.
Response: Hey Karim, is´nt it how it should be in a restaurant, delicious? Thank you for your reco. Best, SPINDLER

Sabrina Sciandra: Place is nice with lovely patio..in my opinion it was to hot outside. Service was also really good, the guy even talked spanish!Good brunch options, mostly with eggs…really liked the croque madame and the croissant. For the florentine eggs i just would suggest to mashed the avocado instead of the entire half…and i was also surprised they only offered bottled water.
Response: Dear Sabrina, thank you for the reco. We called John Snow to solve the Problem. He answered: "be happy it is warm right now, cause the winter is coming. Your idea with the avocado, we will forward it to the kitchen crew but to be honest we like it as it is. Thanks for your warm words about our lovely patio and the rest. Greetings, SPINDLER

Duo Shalamov: Maybe it was just a bad luck, but still... waited very long for the food and drinks first of all. By long I mean over half an hour for 2 portions of eggs and another 20 minutes for the extra coffee afterwards(which was spilled...) Mimosa was with pulp, which is already odd, but it on top of it, it was bitter and very sour. My eggs, and other ones I saw on other tables were with low quality bread, which you can buy in Netto and Aldi for 1€?! Spinach was not good, I think it might have been from the frozen ones you get for a coin in a supermarket. Literally half of an avocado, slightly overcooked eggs and a sauce on top. Potatoes were not fresh, at least warmed up. And it costs 15€. In my opinion it should cost twice as less, because for this money you get an outstanding eggs in so many other places in Berlin. Desserts and coffee we drank were ok. If you are looking for something a little more special and you care how much money you pay-it's not the place.
Response: Dear Duo, big excuse for this waiting experience. The bread is not low quality, its the bread we want to serve our benny family cause this is the original way. Sorry, for 7,50 we can't serve you this dishes. Please feel free tom come back and we will flip your experience into something well. Greetings, Frank

Yoram Pomer: Fine upper scale restaurant in a great location. Big variety of drinks, small menu ( mostly steaks). The food was great and also worth taking a desert. Be aware that the portions are smaller than average!
Response: Dear Yoram, thank you for your praise. We appreciate it, SPINDLER

Hristiyan Petrov: A really nice place. We went for brunch and got very satisfied. The ambient is really cool. The food is great.
Response: Most important things in life is taking time and enjoying it. Happy to gave you a peaceful moment. Best, SPINDLER

Le Petit Royal: what do users think?

Christian Kmiotek: Difficult to get a table, but once you are there you enjoy the perfect service and the quality dishes. French cuisine but from a very small menu card and a large price tag. That is why I do not give the fifth star. Otherwise a good meal and an enjoyable evening.

Diana Strauss: Fantastic service, super friendly waiter with good recommendations.Delicious good options in a cozy atmosphere. Also the cocktails are recommended.

J Somar: Intimate restaurant with simple good food and excellent meats. Also possible to sit outside, which was also nice because the street is a quite one. Try the grilled prawns with herbs and alioli with green salad! Simply delicious. Also the cocktail bar inside has good vibes... Ouh... and prepare your wallet!

Noheir El Adly: On the corner of a side street in Charlottenburg, Le Petit Royal brings elegance and a price tag that is justified. The staff and service not formal yet classy. The crowd is elegant and on a Saturday night mainly over 50. The wine and food menus are well sorted. We tried three different white wines based on staff recommendations and they were excellent. We had the beef tartar, octopus salad, Burata and bulenta and they were all tasty. My Fish was perfect and the deserts were Devine. The interiors are elegant, the toilets are well designed. The restaurant is wheelchair friendly. I would recommend for special occasions or an elegant first date. If you find my review useful, kindly press the line button. Thank you.

Serge K: Great food and service. But somehow they have different COVID regulations for some of their visitors. They ask you to show your vaccination/test and remind you to wear a mask every time when you're not at the table, which is good. But if you are a special guest you don't need to present anything and can go without a mask and nobody will ask anything. Which is quite surreal in a restaurant full of people. So for the history, well deserved star.

J. Renx: Amazing food with very friendly service! I really enjoyed my cod with spinach and quinoa. Highly recommended! Will definitely come back again

Martin Weland: Excellent food ( the Entrecôte was perfect) great ambiance, friendly service- it comes with a price tag though

Lars Kramer: Nice place for dinner etc. in Charlottenburg - high quality food, wine and drinks. I can recommend this place.

Tasiah Peter: The service is best..beautiful place and taste very² rich delicousFood: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Emanuele ci: warm atmosphere and remarkable staff. They also have a very good wine selection. Beside that, the food was below the expectations, a way too much compared to the price. The meat lacked of consistency as if it had been quickly defrosted. Food quality is for me paramount
