Tennis club SCC Berlin e.V.: what do users think?

Hugo: Great Players and personalities among club members. Food at the club house is also excellent.

Mikhail Oparin: Very bad experience. I have booked the courts in this club for a while and always paid the invoices promptly. One day they send me 4 invoices together dated back to last year saying those were not paid. When I asked them why the invoices arrived just now when they usually arrive the next day, nobody responded for another half a year. Still ongoing process >3 years later where they spontaneously decide to send another letter requesting to pay. Very frustrating and annoying.

Sonya Lukin: Good facilities. Disappointing that the Angie Kerber Cup is now only for U12.

Peter Jetzel: Lovely tennis club, great courts, beautiful surroundings and fantastic people! ❤️

TT Travelblogger: Play a tennis tournament there, beautiful facility! The food in the restaurant is good, but the staff is rude and arrogant. I wanted to buy a mineral water for which I normally pay 3€. It says on a note that if you pay with a card you have to pay an extra 5%. I didn't see it and was then told by the lady in the restaurant: Can't you read or what? And today I wanted to eat at a playground on the site saw that 2 people ate there. A man said friendly: Of course no problem, while the lady from the restaurant asked me if I could get it myself! The woman doesn't belong there. Therefore 2 stars.

Oliver Ahrndt: The site is a bit confusing, booking online is also a pain and the prices are unfortunately WAY too high in comparison. ANSWER: Hello Mr Throne, Thank you for your response. I wanted to rent a place with my colleague from work for Friday after work. We both work in the online area and I would say that we are not exactly incompetent when it comes to that. With them you somehow get to two pages where you can book online (or not). With one you should enter a name, but then nothing happens. You can only close the window. There are no other options. Then you can enter something on the other side, but only in very funny steps. I took the screenshots to make it clearer. On average we pay between 20-35 euros for 2 hours in Mitte. With them I can only get a place from 64 euros (apparently). Even if you mark 2 hours, it seems to mean 2 1/2 hours. Kind regards
Response: Dear Mr. Ahrndt, the page is confusing? I hear that for the first time. There are various links for online booking. And booking online is a cramp? So so. I don't feel that at all. On the contrary. The reason that we work with the external provider is the easy, pleasant customer management. And the prices are too expensive? That is also interesting. The question arises with which hall providers they compare our prices. How do you get € 64? You can book a hall with us for 2 hours for € 25. The maximum price is € 50 at weddings. We are absolutely on average of the somewhat higher providers, which is due to the fact that our halls and the associated service are superior. Unfortunately, your two stars are difficult to understand. Sincerely, Jens Thron, Tennis Club SCC e.V.

Werner Winner: A highlight of my sporting year is the senior tournament in the summer at TC SCC. Great conditions: perfect organization and good gastronomy, but above all very high-quality tennis. This is where I meet all my tennis friends from Berlin and Germany. Senior tennis still counts for you! Unlike in my home club, where you are not even congratulated on being promoted to the team. I would think it would be a shame if the tournament didn't take place this year because of Corona, especially because my brother and his wife from Stuttgart also want to take part this year. I hope that it will be announced in time whether the tournament will take place.
Response: Thank you for your review.

Anapurna: What a great discovery! We (my 12-year-old son and I, his mother) actually only booked a place before Easter to play a little bit in front of us and got into conversation with one of their coaches - without it being intrusive. Now we are both members and feel very much at home. We both can't play well at all and especially I "old man" am certainly not a "profit" for the club - but it's not at all as aloof and too ambitious as it sounds in some reviews! Of course you can have the prejudice because everything is pretty clean and well equipped and they also have some really top players. But I think it's great that there's visible love put into it. That doesn't fall from the sky. And I find it completely absurd to derive complacency from that. Even for "normal people" like me, they have absolutely open arms and great offers that are not performance-oriented at all. Super nicely organized tournaments where all performance classes play together, open introductory tennis, fitness training for the tennis-relevant muscle groups and much more. There is such a wide range for kids that it's hard to list, I can at least say that my son doesn't want to leave the place anymore and that's saying something at that age and with the possible digital alternatives. So, 2 * 5 stars from us for everyone who makes this great club so lively and open, for BTA boss Tiger Juan anyway and special praise for the delicious, loving gastronomy on site!

Joanna Miao (Miamiu): Appears interested only where how who and etc. but top facility with young promoted programs and protégés. Patented Parents are certainly NOT persecuted and mentally abused and physically abused. really to be praised club with detailed written regulations. Just like coming in was careful.

Alena Strohbehn: Great club-beautiful retreat if you live in the city.
Response: Thank you for your review.

Christine Park: Our lovely weekend spot! I am so glad we were introduced to this place. Super nice, with kids but also alone to chill

Ellena Bender: Very lovely club. You can´t really see it from afar, but when you get closer, you really get a proper "WOW", the lake, the stadium, the sheer size of the facilities. Yes, and then there is the terrace and the lake-side lawn. I mostly come for relaxing, as I don´t play tennis, but this is such a nice location in the first place.

Nomo Spam: Pretty awesome club. Not sure there is anything better or more impressive than this. Seems they have lawn-courts for a WTA tournament, but then on top you have access to this massive nice hidden lake, where you can use the club´s stand-up paddle boards, nice club-restaurant......we even heard some live-music as we left....For me this is rather a full-blown country-club than just a little "Tennisverein"

Leandre: Great tennis club with stunning courts and kind trainers!

Shlomo Traubenzucker: Love this place, they even have grass-courts I learned. Pretty awesome hang-out place. More of a country-club than a little sports-club.

Jorge Grunho: Great facility! The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Sonya Lukin: Nice tennis club. Excited for bett1open (-:

Balamir Ozan: Amazing

Christopher Cumingham: the only one in berlin with class.

Chandru Shanmugam: Clearly a not welcoming place.

Susan Steckov: Large, well-equipped facility with food/ drink service offered by exceptionally nice staff!

Hanne: Great club. Even in winter because there is a hall to play in.

Sibylle C: Yes, the sanitary area needs to be overhauled, but otherwise a nice spot in Berlin

Beto del Monte: My wife simply loves ITC Berlin! :-)

Siemon Ziskine: Great facility with several indoor and outdoor spaces. Very informal and homely atmosphere with great trainers

David “MadeByDave”: I don't know

Klaus Geschwandner: Great facility. Especially when TXL is closed

Yilmaz Gözüakça: great club

Paresh Salunke: The staff is nice. Why the two stars? The badminton court do not have linings / they are disappearing so you won't be able to play points game here. Cost is high for quality of badminton court. the only advantage is its within city center. I will add photos to show what i mean. If they repair it, it's a perfectly fine court. I haven't played on their Tennis courts but from the looks of it, they look good. :)

Shoaib Bhatti: We booked it for badminton. The hall is good with high ceilings. It's a good court for indoor badminton. There was no problem with the booking and everything went as per the plan.

Stefan Seferovic: They expect you to cancel 24h in advance or they want your money (without ever telling you that when you book a court), BUT when your clay court is unplayable because of water puddles they don't bother calling to inform you, even though you always leave your phone with them: "sometimes we call, sometimes we don't" was the ridiculous answer. Went there for nothing, 1 star.

Selman Ay: outdoor clay courts were good but now they are closed, only indoor courts we can play and they are not that good. however, being in good location makes it easier to go there and play with reasonable cost (15eur I think)

Veronica Cheung: Booked a tennis place on Saturday a week in advance and we confirmed it again by phone one day before. However, when we arrived to this place, the staff told me there’s no places available with a terrible attitude, even when we made a reservation. That’s the exceptional service they offer here.

Sophia E: I don't usually post reviews however the treatment that my partner and I received at this "private tennis club" from the staff members and regulars was uncivilized and sexist. Don't waste your money on a place where the owners take the profits and fail to care about the upkeep of their club. • pot holes in all courts • carpets have rips everywhere (and super dangerous with how they dispence the turff) • But still raising prices for nonsense explainations. Good luck of you play there!!

Victor Silva: i’ve book for 2 hours, when we arrived they told me that we can just play 1 hour... why do they even book for 1 hour, who can play a match like that? very dissapointed

Soudager Shah: The indoor Tennis Courts are not great - slippery and the green felt carpet feels really funny with some carpet coming off at times. The cafe is not stocked well and the service staff is aloof.

Oleg Baranovskiy: We played badminton. Manager was very nice to us. Even he doesn't speak English we was able to communicate with 10 German words I know

Robert Pipo: It is a fair place, modest but it gets the job done. A good tennis match with an engaging tennis partner is enough to not let any shortcoming bother you.

Jens: Very good club restaurant. Tasty dishes. Great service. Just great.

Michael Hansen: The canteen is very nice and the food is very tasty

Fabian: Fantastically beautiful tennis facility in a central location. A green oasis! Very nice and relaxed people and a very good restaurant with fair prices.

Marina Menendez Prados: Ate a super delicious homemade apple pie. Lovely again. Very friendly service.

Jan Laird of Glencoe: Very excellent cuisine in the clubhouse! Justyna is a magician in the kitchen. Excellent food, made to order or a daily menu. In addition, well-kept drinks in a nice atmosphere. I like being there.

Edith Stahr: Very idyllic tennis club in the middle of the city. Delicious pizza 👍

Burkhard Trenkler: Super delicious food... big praise to the kitchen..

Lisa Erhardt: Beautiful place, lots of fields, cool clubhouse, only some people were snooty

Soraya: So nice here

G L: Great, well maintained clay courts, friendly staff and the only tennis club in Berlin that actually has a good online, totally digital reservation system. Once online payment is also available, 5 stars!

brad shield: Visiting from Australia ,we booked a court but did so with a German speaking person so we could get time and place correct .Drove one hour to get to the court and was told we couldn't play because we weren't members! The website states non members can play ,the person on the phone said non members can play ,we drove an hour thinking we could play ?? Inept ,rude and hopeless ,I hope this is the real reason we weren't allowed on the courts and not something else?? I noticed a response form the club so I write this now !In all fairness the club offered us a free court after the event occurred ,which was very kind .But there were English speaking people who were members at the court as well as the members on the court we booked spoke perfect English and they understood completely what was going on ! In fact the president of the club rang to apologise for the behaviour of his members in question so to say its a misunderstanding of Language is a lie and we did book the court for after 5pm and showed up with correct shoes ! Can I give zero stars !!!
Response: Hallo Brad, guests can play when they have reserved a court in advance (after 5 pm the courts are reserved for members only) and show up with proper clay court shoes. Maybe there was a misunderstanding at the court? Mistakes can happen, but then it would be best to find someone speaking English to solve it there.

Pasqual Chlopsidis: Very good club , central located but very green, six clay courts and open to everyone. Top.

Mario Heller: Cool tennis court with family atmosphere and friendly staff

Iglesias Daniel: The best tennis club in Berlin

J V: Tennis club❤️

Shebin Thomas: My Top Tennis club :)

Christian Bauer: Top tennisclub

Lisa Lionheart: I wanted to book a place by phone. (Last year it was still possible) When I asked if there would still be a place available at some point today, I was only answered brusquely that I should book online. But that is impossible without registration, I then found out. Registration complete. Waiting for release. 90 minutes. called again. The colleague who makes the release is only there in the evening. And today there's no more space left anyway. When I was asked why I was then referred to the probably hopeless online booking, when it was clear that there was no space anyway (which I could have simply been told on my first call), there was only one "not my problem ." And a hung up phone. If you don't feel like your job, you should just stay at home. Too bad. Always liked being there. Zero service, zero stars.

Rosa Wagner: I'm in the club myself and I think the coaches are very, very nice.

Wesley Lombard: Great place to play tennis next to the wild forest.

Lisy Cox: Very beautiful and quiet

Elisabet Beyer: We celebrated great, the hall is spacious, small bar, kitchen, toilet, cloakroom. The kitchen equipped with everything. You can also make loud music. Recommendable.

Barbara Pinger: I like him very much. There are 7 tennis courts to play tennis. The sports stadium right behind it and the Fauler See nature park. In the tennis club, all players are types. You can also make contacts.

mathias hennecke: Nice uncomplicated club facility. I felt very comfortable as a guest (and I know a lot of facilities...)

Fabian Isokeit: very nice facility in the countryside, 7 clay courts in perfect quality, nice people ...

Philipp von Bieberstein: Wonderful Tennis club with great atmosphere and people. Has a great little bar and terrace.

Artem Kovalyov: Nice courts, 3 work in winter, guest booking possible

Bowe Frankema: Great club with good courts and friendly people!

Just Paint: Cool 😎

Artjom Ferdinand: Nice

BB030: Friendly tennis club

Tanja Mrowka: Very nice tennis facility, unfortunately very little club life. No chance to get to know tennis 🎾 partners.

Julia Hamacher: Great tennis club, very green and quiet! In summer there is a lot of conviviality on the large terrace and around the courts and thanks to the many teams and some tournaments there is always fun tennis to watch! A very friendly catering team provides delicious food and refreshing drinks, and of course there is also a large screen for sports broadcasts via Sky. All in all: a place to be!

Johannes Nielsen: Very nice and centrally located club with 9 clay courts and good gastronomy with a large sun terrace. In winter, games are played on three courts under a new air dome. The seats could be reserved in the club via a panel, or on the go via a booking system.

Frank Wunderlich: The restaurant is well managed and open to everyone. Price - performance is right. Friendly service. I'm not a tennis player and can't report on the places.

J Somar: Excellent tennis club. Green areas look amazing, with sculptures in between. The tennis courts are in best shape. Also good casual café overlooking the tennis court in a sporty ambiente.

Martin Czerwinsky: A very impressive location for events or tennisplayers. Very hidden and only with membership, but in any case I love coming here, also for a swim in summer.

Sonya Lukin: Beautiful tennis courts with cool swimming pool (-:

P. D. I. Investigaciones: The tennis yard is a good one.Swimming pool area is fine too.The food accommodation can be improve, also the variety of the menu.If you go to play tennis is fine, if you go there to socialize just forget it.

Kåsar Saieed M.: Beautiful location. The courts are flawless! Would definitely recommend this club!

Adrian Tuerklitz: Top!

Markus Meister: Very well managed tennis club. Everything neat and clean. The gastronomy is unusually good for "a tennis court" and with the very good and varied cuisine (with seasonal dishes in addition to the usual menu) you have the feeling of sitting on the terrace of a toque chef. The photo shows an excellent Wiener Schnitzel with crispy sweet potato fries. The club's swimming pool, fitness center and sauna offer a very pleasant, family atmosphere, especially when you compare it to the atmosphere in public baths, for example.

Uwe Linz: Had a league game there with my team for the third time. Totally nice "opponents", great restoration with nice service. The space service is legendary (you don't need to remove or blow up space yourself...). And the Bavarian Augustiner on tap in an iced clay jug is a great reward after a hot 🎾 match. The pasta variation: 😋

Henk Schüller: Delicious food at a fair price in a unique Berlin location, which is only accessible to members.

Bee Wee: The review only refers to the restaurant, which is really TOP. Italian upscale cuisine at really fair prices and top quality. You can eat really well here and the service is super friendly and attentive. insider tip!

Pardha Saradhi Peddeti: Really liked it alot

Joachim Stahlkopf: I recently joined this club and am extremely warm and friendly been recorded. The administration and the board of directors are highly professional and are always there for the members. Gastronomy is served very well by Alex, who is popular in the club. The food she prepares is top notch. The value for money can only be praised and recommended. I feel in good hands here.

jörg müller: I work her and mend a wall.

Stefan Dibbern: Family tennis club with very good coaches, centrally located on Handelplatz. Small hall with 2 places in winter.

Mohamad Nasiri: With Brobucks

Jonathan Thelen: Very nice people are always happy to come back

Martin Juhnke: Very nice facility. Great management. Prima club members.

Veaceslav Driglov: Good trainers, especially, children trainers, but terrible and not caring Club Management! Club management doesn’t build relationship with members and care only about money. Very disappointing!

Mark Beyer: great restaurant as part of a tennis club . Bit bizarre but worth visiting , great upscale food in an nice old villa environment

Christian Sieg: Private tennis club but restaurant is open to public. They have great food, but because they were understaffed, everything took a bit longer than it should have.

Stay Calm: Ok

Christopher Rex: Very good personal reception...wonderful space...terrific food and top service... If I had more time I would dine here more often...thanks for the nice evening

Gerhard Feller: Very good kitchen, friendly Staff. Unfortunately that closes End of year restaurant

Matthias Witt: I was in Fruehsammers Bistro, which is in the villa right next to the tennis club. Great lunch at really correct prices.

Ines Preuss: It was a different kind of experience. The food was a dream, taste explosions, the staff courteous, friendly, an insider tip

Felix Busch: Good ambiance.

Stefan Carpanu: Waited 15 minutes for someone to open the door to the courts for us. "Bad luck" was all we got and barely got to play 40 minutes for an hour's pay.

murad khalil: Gut

Stefan: Uncomplicated online court booking top. Facility in good general condition (although our original court had minor water damage). Unfortunately, sanitary facilities were not accessible.

Ersin Dogan: A very nice, well-kept facility next to the idyllic Blachkopark. There are a total of 8 outdoor clay tennis courts and a fixed hall LED lit with a plastic hard rubber court. Super nice people and an excellent restaurant in the clubhouse, with very nice service. If you want to play in winter, you can rent one of two sand courts in the new air dome with LED lighting or go to the permanent hall. All in all, a great tennis club in Neukölln!

Christina Bütow: Nice area, nice gastronomy. No parking spaces.

Günter Wehner: Excellent kitchen, a big compliment to the master chef!

Marcel Pimer: Great facility, great seats

Marina Riebow: A nice club, nice atmosphere.
