Michael Tschechow Studio Berlin - Acting School: what do users think?

Rudolf Krause: Michael Chekhov described his way of working as an 'art of experience'. You can learn this art here, acquire it and grow together - dealing with language, movement, singing, improvisation, theater history and with the help of a lot of coffee and cigarettes. In the intensive process of a way of working that develops skills and strength, the view of life and people also changes, and a new theater or family may emerge from this - everything has happened before. :-))

Jorgos Stathis: This is the perfect place for anyone who wants to learn the art of acting while taking a deep approach, both mentally and physically. With the method of Michael Chekhov as a basis and many other approaches as an extension, a comprehensive range of courses is created here. The lecturers respond to the individuality of people and thus enable targeted development.

Elisa Mildner: At the MTSB I already learned more in my first year than in several years of training at other schools and workshops combined! In the Chekhov year, basic techniques are taught in a playful, creative, sustainable and natural way, always at eye level, with respect and appreciation. Here, no matter how old you are, you are given the chance to develop yourself, to discover and try out something new in a protected space and actually to learn something that goes beyond acting: here we learn something for life, for our own personality as a person and artist. The MTSB is recommended for everyone who is open and would like to develop personally :)

Unknown User007: If you are looking for a good drama school that focuses on the individual, in which community and solidarity are very important and are taught professionally, you have come to the right place! Because you learn more than "just" acting techniques. I have already had experience with other methods and schools - this one appeals to me the most! The lecturers are all very committed, there are flat hierarchies, everyone treats each other with respect. It's a "we" and not "everyone against everyone" (unfortunately you know that from other schools). The timetable is structured, the trimesters are planned exactly to the week. It is also taken into account if you have to work on the side. A crazy plus is the division into trimesters - there are loooong summer holidays :) For me, going to this school was the best decision I could have ever made.

Anatol Hanau: An absolutely incredible place with even more incredible instructors! After completing 2 "normal" degrees at the universities of Heidelberg and Mannheim and numerous acting workshops at renowned addresses, I found exactly what I was looking for at this school. I can absolutely recommend EVERYONE who is interested in acting or who would like to develop personally to see the MTSB. After taking the 9 month part-time course the year before last, I am now enrolled as a full-time student and couldn't be happier with my decision. Come Czech it out !!!!

Hannah Prasse: Unique acting school worldwide. Here, mindful and playful, imaginative and concentrated thinking and acting is required, which goes far beyond the profession of an actor. An inspirational place of discovery and pure being in the heart of Kreuzberg.

Beatrice Moldvai: The other drama school. She works personality-oriented, is strong in the community, very versatile in terms of the lecturers, but above all, in the three years you learn the Michael Chechov technique that brings you into artistic freedom. The artistic standard is high.

Elisabeth Taraba: A versatile drama school that works very individually and personality-oriented. Michael Chekhov's method was exactly the right choice for me - I can only recommend it!

Soheil Boroumand: A great drama school that differs from other private schools not only in terms of its special methodology, but also because of the high quality and social skills of the lecturers.

Stefan Lenz: Unique in the possibility of attending an orientation or basic year (T-year), basic tools plus piece development. Then the postgraduate course for 2.5 years with great lecturers (including Ilse Ritter!). Great emphasis on your individuality and the discovery of your own artistic sources.

special name: Better not register. Even if they feel like they take everyone who can afford the fun, it's not worth it. They fulfill their teaching assignment more poorly than well. The curriculum is a joke compared to other universities and they don't keep their advertising promises either. Most of the students I know already regret it and wouldn't do it again.

Schott Acting Studio: what do users think?

Pip Roper: I really enjoyed the Foundations workshop at the Schott Acting Studio. Having minimal experience it allowed me to explore areas I'd wanted to tap into, and think about approaches and angles I hadn't considered before. Matthias is very kind, welcoming and patient, making it the ideal environment.

Priyanka Jain: I attended the 5 days acting workshop with Matthias and really enjoyed my overall experience. Some of the things that I liked the best are: 1) Matthias is a good teacher and what I find the best is that he knows how to maintain a fine balance between feedback and criticism. He gives feedback from which you can improve while at the same time he says it in a way that you are not discouraged. His feedback always comes constructively and motivates you to try more and improve. This is a rare trait to find but important to have in a good teacher. 2) Matthias understands the requirement of each person and finds time to give individual feedback and work with them. 3) He was very prompt in his correspondence on emails and calls, whenever needed. Even after the workshop I have written to him for guidance and he has been very very helpful. 4) In general, you will come out of the workshop opening up certain new unexplored facets of your skill and personality. In our workshop, I saw all participants improve over the 5-day period. 5) Venue was clean and nice. 6) Quality of participants in the group was nice. Everyone was friendly and serious towards learning. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn acting or to just find something more about their personality. Thanks again, Matthias for being a great mentor and teacher! :)

Julie Millaud: Good teachers, good content, beautiful space! I recommend this studio! I’ve studied both with Matthias, the founder of Schott Acting Studio and with international teachers and got great learnings from all of them. The studio offers a variety of approaches to acting and I will keel taking classes there to enrich my experience as an actor.

Jeff Mezzrow: Great workshop! Matthias led us through warmups, exercises and scenes that were challenging and thought provoking. Very intense and well paced. I can highly recommend this acting studio.

Gizem Kaya: was a great experience to have this 3 day intensive workshop - Umit is an amazing & very emphatic teacher with unique perspectives on acting. Really enjoyed and learned & experienced TONS!

Bartek Puczkielo: The best place for the actors to grow. Each great city need that kind of place. The studio is a very professional place where you are free to fail but also you are encouraged to grow and to cross your limits, discovering new yourself, a great artist that each of us has inside, waiting for revealing. Highly recommend that studio. Recently I have had another workshop at the studio with the amaizingly wonderful teacher- Geordie Brookman I wish the workshops could have lasted longer. The exercises and the provided information how to develop your character made me feel safe and boosted my confidence on the stage. Such studio and the wonderful teachers, enriched with international artists, will leave you 100% more confident and therefore it will be a turing point on your artistic path. Still can't wait for the lessons with Eric. The forthcoming workshops with Lena Lessing is worth mentioning as I myslef have had private coaching with her. She is just breathtakingly awe-inspiring. I am sure that with her you will be able to charge your battery for a long time as mine is still full. I do not regret any minute working with her as she navigated me perfectly on that umpredictible track. So those who are still hesitating, stop it and go for it. Have fun at the studio.

Karolina Narojczyk: I love the atmosphere which allow you to freelly implement the knowledge you've just received and I met there a bunch of the lovliest people starting with Matthias and Eric! Highly recommend to check out this studio and all the amazing workshops they offer!

Sebastian Prenzel: The on camera acting is just mind blowing. A must-know for actors who work in front of the camera. Eric makes eight hours of scene analysis fly past like two and with amazing energy and enthusiasm!

Kevin Calderón Pereyra: One of the greatest experiences I've had as an acting student. I highly recommend it.

E. S.: I took part in the 'Acting Intensive' workshop. I've been acting in an amateur theater company for a few years and booked the workshop to learn some basics of acting. Matthias Schott is an incredibly good observer and supports each participant individually with concrete feedback and tips without overtaxing them. It didn't matter whether you were interested in acting or already had some gaming experience. I was able to 'take away' a lot and recommend the workshop and the 'Schott Acting Studio' without reservation. Nice thing. :)

Europäisches Theaterinstitut e.V. / ETI Schauspielschule Berlin: what do users think?

Cavale Studio: Brilliant space. Views to the Spree, lovely light, inspiring atmosphere. I’m a big fan of ETI

Kateryna Schatz: 👍👍👍

theater Berlin: A great private school. By feel and hearsay the best there is! I've been here for almost three years and have felt very comfortable since the first days. There is a really great sense of togetherness among the students and a good relationship with the lecturers on an equal footing. In many large rooms you get the varied lessons that acting students need. Of course, in contrast to acting universities, you probably have a little fewer lessons, but these are still of comparable quality and offer room to develop, provided you are willing to learn and committed. In contrast to other schools, there is a lot of focus on music and ensemble singing, which is really very helpful for the later job as a versatile actor. In addition to the actual acting lessons, the many movement subjects and the comprehensive theater theory/theater history lessons are particularly good. Outside of class, the students organize their own events, such as the Speti, and there is always the opportunity to actively participate in what is happening at school and to work on your own creative development. In addition, the ETI has a great bar and is located directly on the Spree, what more could an artist want ;D Come by and convince yourself, you are very welcome!

Sophia Bauer: The best (last state-approved) private theater school for prospective actors in Berlin. Very family atmosphere and professional lecturers who train the students at a high level. I can only recommend it from my own experience!

ilmer s: It comes from the heart when I say: I feel poodle well with you !! Not many schools / classmates / teachers manage to feel that way, thanks for that !! 100 stars would be more appropriate, well Google stop ...

Seriöser Geschäftsmann: The classmates question you on the first day and then don't talk to you anymore. They don't want to be friends with you on Facebook. In the hallway you suddenly have to "go to the toilet" instead of continuing to talk to someone, to accompany you, etc. They're always criticizing you and being inventive with mistakes after you've performed the monologue in front of the class. The little 14-year-old plays sooo well, even though he's not good at all! The principal says if you want secure work, look for another job. Nowhere are you welcomed with open arms. In this profession in particular, megalomaniacs are the rule, who don't care if people die as a result of bullying. The "good friend" creates conflicts, withholds information and persuades the victim to break off.

Valentine Capian.Moser: Once an ETI, always an ETi. It was my home and my family during the 3 years of my education and it will always be a bit. I have met wonderful people who still carry art before fame in their souls and want to change something with it. That's very valuable. I am very proud to be an ETIan.

I S: a holistic and prestige-free school that produces alert, creative minds. The ETI is something very special and the only state-recognized acting school in addition to public transport in Berlin.

Elias HANI: The place is ideal for theater studies. The director and teachers are caring and professional. There is a good working atmosphere. Many Thanks

P E: It is a pleasure to see my daughter flourishing at this school. She is also perfectly happy.

THE CENTER Activities in English STUDIO 1: what do users think?

Aarti Rustagi: We have had such a pleasant time at The Centre Berlin. All the instructors are excellent, skilled, creative and talented and more so really warm and affectionate. My daughter started when she was 3 year old and settled very well since the instructors ( Veronica, Jemma, Maurice, Courtney) were very welcoming and truly engaging. We started with one class and moved to 3, that's how delightful the experience was. The way all of them beautifully integerate each and every child and their needs is amazing. We wish we could have stayed longer unfortunately it's time to move to our homeland. It's been so relaxing for me to leave my daughter and have some fun time with the fantastic friends that I made with other mother's. I would recommend it to anyone. Just go there and am sure both you and your kid will have a blast for sure. Most importantly I would congratulate Martina for creating this beautiful space.truly appreciate the hardwork that she puts in to maintain.
Response: Hi Aarti! Thank you soo much for this warm and lovely review! It has been such a pleasure having both of you here. We will miss you! I hope you are settling into your new home well. Martina

Queenvick: The first time I stepped into the Center, my daughter was just a few months old and we joined the Baby music group. Not only was the teacher fantastic but those other Mothers would become my lifelong friends. Flash forward a couple of years and we returned when my daughter (now 3) wanted to start Ballet. So, we began and right away, she loved her teacher and loved going to her class. Then she wanted to add Musical Theater - so we did and again, she loves it. As for me, I have made new friends that I will cherish in my life yet again through the Center. I really think this is because the Center allows for conversation between Parents and allows the Kids (and I'm sure Adults as well) to learn at their pace while still making sure that they are trying and having a great time. It's always been a happy place for me in Berlin and I do hope that you will find it to be the same!
Response: Thank you so much Victoria! It's always so nice to have you two here!

Jessy “Drya” Halison: My ballet classes with Brittany is one of the bright of my week. I am always looking forward to these moment of work in such a happy and empowering atmosphere. As adult, I was afraid to start ballet, I thought that it would be too late for me to learn anything or even progress. How wrong was I! The different teachers I had, and especially Brittany, always made me feel welcome, seen, and supported. They make sure you have a good time, but leave the class having learnt something and make some progress. And what I particularly like is that they really pay attention that you learn properly and don't develop bad habits that could be harmful for your body. I recommend this place to any adult wanting to learn new dance, and would be afraid to start as adult: there, you will feel at home! On the Studio 1 itself: it is well located (between several public transportation stops). The beautiful wood floor is a bit uneven unfortunately. But nothing really problematic.
Response: Thank you so much, Jessy! You're right... it's never too late to start Ballet! We love seeing you grow since the Introduction to Ballet course!

Irene Bodle: My daughter has been in the ballet class for the last four years. She loves all of the ballet teachers, her class and ballet. I highly recommend the course for anyone who has a 4 - 8 year old child wanting to learn ballet in a fun and professional way.
Response: Thank you so much Irene! It’s been so lovely having you both here for so many years.

Maria Lopez Echeverria: The system to book or cancel classes is really flexible and works perfectly with a real life schedule, also Brittany, my teacher of adult ballet classes is a great professional who cares very much for her classes and students. This is a very good school.
Response: Thank you so much for the kind words! We are happy when you are.

Olen Steinhauer: Having been through a variety of children's performance schools in the US--on both the east and west coasts--I was pleasantly surprised by The Center's caring interest in my child, over and above the very fair fees they charged. If anything, I felt compelled to urge them to charge more so as to afford a larger space they were looking into. The teachers are cheerful and enthusiastic, the administration pleasant to deal with, and my daughter always left in an upbeat mood, eager to share what she had learned. Terrific place.

B G: My favorite place to take dance classes in Berlin. The teachers are all beyond qualified and super patient, even with adult beginners like me.
Response: Thank you so much! So great that you started dancing!

athanasia tsavalas: My son and I love The Center! He is almost five and has been doing various courses there since he was only a few months old! The atmosphere is relaxed and positive and I have made some really good friends there over the years . I can highly recommend The Center, just drop by and check it out!

J Zimmermann: Great teachers, very professional and helpful, lots of fun with no pressure at all. Also amazingly flexible and helpful system for booking/re-booking with the unexpected things of the adult working-life!
Response: Thank you so much Jo! I hope you stop by the next time you're in Berlin. I was lovely having you here.

osama aliraqi: Ok

Reduta-Berlin Schauspielschule für Theater und Film: what do users think?

Rob Gee: This was a wonderful little local theatre with an enthusiastic and inventive cast and crew. Although this typically may be more likely to be attended by friends and family due to the tiny size (about 50 seats in two rows along two perpendicular walls), we and everyone else was given a warm and friendly welcome and the entire staff was very professional (albeit with a comfortably informal, small town feel). The waiting room even had a small counter selling drinks, which could be taken into the performance area. As in such small venues, the actors are just a couple of meters away, lending an invigorating, presential aspect that is the heart and soul of ultra local theatre. In a conversation after the performance, we learned the plot and most of the script was written by the cast members, an endearing aspect to this fun neighborhood event. Well worth the visit!

Valentina Syll: A bit run down, but it has got character :))

Aly Salah: Acting methods being taught felt old and outdated, found way better schools in berlin that teach more modern methods of acting

we ee: Critical: Professionalismunprofessional

Ewelina Jaworska: Here you are taken seriously, Theresa is simply unique and builds very pleasant atmosphere for students. Here, theater means passion, love and freedom. You can grow as an artist with professional guidance. International team of young artists learning here makes this place particularly interesting, everyone brings their experience, language, culture and here is a place for exchange, learning from each other and growing together.

Jenny Epp: Family atmosphere, varied, competent and experienced lecturers! Fun and fair dealing.

Feli Heinken: Really nice atmosphere and the classes are challenging but extremely helpful. The lecturers are great too.

Malwina Romanska: I appreciate the familiar atmosphere and the great opportunities that this school offers. The lecturers deal with the students competently and professionally. The school management and the lecturers are always helpful and very friendly. I can warmly recommend this school there is an incredible amount of learning.

TiMo RoGoWsKi: The variety of competent lecturers is a great strength of the school. In addition to scenic work on stage and in front of the camera, everyone is given strong support in terms of language, voice and body. In particular, the truthfulness in the etudes according to Stanislavski, in which inner feelings can be experienced through external experiences. The acting technique according to Jerzy Grotowski, the Grotowski technique, has enabled me to have an intensive exchange in various improvisations, and also to be able to process my own processes step by step and incorporate them into the monologue work. We attach great importance to a working atmosphere in which one feels comfortable, and the premises offer space and room to develop :) Totally recommended!

Gregor Stach: Finally, I was able to confirm my earlier impressions of the high professionalism of the acting students in the rehearsals they presented during the anniversary performance. At that time they already belonged on a big stage, although many off-theatres can be really jealous of the framework conditions of the Reduta - Berlin Drama School - including the size of the stage.

Stagecoach Performing Arts Berlin-Mitte: what do users think?

Livia Noerenberg: Stagecoach Berlin-Mitte is really a great opportunity for young people to enter the world of musicals. I've been here for 1 1/2 years now and it just feels like home. Each individual is an asset to the group. We have the best teachers with a lot of experience and I have never had better classmates. I really learned a lot during this time and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to go in this direction.

Salas Sandoval: Amazing place! Came to see a puppet art and music installation called "strings". Beautiful work and school!

Nomad 97: Looks like they have great facilities to teach drama to their students.

Thorsten Hakelberg: Nice university that would have been bigger if the Berlin Senate hadn't been greedy for money again, only Mr. Schneider from the SPD had to sell part of the property to a friend. So there is a bit of space missing. It's a shame because this university deserves all the space in the world. Otherwise one of the most beautiful university locations in Berlin. The stages are functional and a bit smaller than in a real theater, but everything that will later work in the big house / stage can be shown. I think it's amazing how this "small" university throws so many successful directing graduates and actors onto the market. Whether it's about the radio play prize for the war blind, about productions that win prizes or Mr. Teschke, who is one of my No1. Heard favorite authors for the children's radio play on DLF Sunday radio. (And there are, apart from Heiner Müller, not many who are at home there in Olympus, ;-) ) It seems as if the training concept, which sometimes stretches back to the history of the GDR, is doing something right. If you look at the graduate list like this!! This affects EVERYONE, not just the lecturers, it also includes all technical and administrative professions that contribute to a professional course of study. Keep it up ! bravo !!

Martin Stief: My job...always great

Catalyst - Institute for Creative Arts and Technology: what do users think?

Mona Jain: My son studies in catalyst and I can see in one year of the programme his skill has multiplied manifold . It’s a great environment and student friendly institute which encourages original thinking . Professors are extremely helpful and themselves experts on their field of music .
Response: Hi Mona - thank you for the kind words. We’re pleased your son has benefited from our practice-based approach to learning with us. We will pass on your kind words to you son’s teachers.

Sylvia Gozdek: I took the 4-week Filmmaking short course over the summer in 2020 and had an incredible time. Together with my classmates, we created 11 films together! This meant I played through quite a lot of the different roles on the 6 sets I was on... It really is amazing how much ground we covered. From lighting and camera, to script writing and directing, through to editing and screening. This course is perfect for an ambitious beginner like me or even someone who has a bit of experience and is looking for a fast paced challenge.
Response: Thank you for sharing Sylvia, we encourage you to keep up this rhythm and look forward to following your creative projects!

Heath B: Despite being the in the first degree program at dbs Berlin, and the humble campus we had in comparison today, I cannot say anything negative about this institution. The degree program was aimed at students seeking a complete education preparing us for our final year’s thesis. Each subject was taught from simple to more complex, and understandably there may be some with more experience than others, but reinforcing the basics is essential. The support I got from all tutors was excellent and inspired passion to learn and grow. Following the degree, I was able to work as a freelancer, delivering high quality work to a variety of clients. Despite not currently working in music, what I learned socially and in soft skills over the degree years still sticks with me and certainly supports my current work and interactions in my industry.
Response: Hi Heath, many thanks for your thorough review. We're pleased to read you enjoyed studying with our tutors, as well as benefitted and well understood our learning approach. We'd love to stay in touch and hear how you evolve in your career and wish you the very best for a successful future in the fields you pursue. Kind regards!

itay duer: I just finished the first year of the electronic music production course and came out pretty disappointed. The school is most fitted in my opinion for beginners. The subjects taught are very basic and there is no in depth knowledge about anything. The teachers have told us multiple times that if we want to know something specific we should look it up on YouTube. So this meant that none of the things I wanted to learn were taught at the school. Another thing that bothered me was that there wasn't a division of the students based on their levels, this is probably why the studies aren't that in depth. Also a sneaky trick that they do is promise in their website(FAQ) 12 hours of 'supported time on campus' which means nothing and doesn't actually happen. The 12 hours of lessons that you actually have are often wasted on irrelevant subject, a few out of many examples: Music theory - I knew more than the teacher. Development - unorganized lessons talking about the philosophy of music that could have been done well but missed the point. The teacher was more about showing how smart he is over actually listening to what the students have to say and no meaningful feedback was given for the students. Music industry - could be useful but not what I signed up to study and not what I was looking for. Live performance - also a nice idea but the lessons where really poorly organized . No real knowledge was given about different styles or ways of performance, it was 4 hours a week which were usually quite boring and non productive. At best you would spend 10 minutes performing, get a bit of feedback, watch your classmates perform and waste the remaining 2 hours of the class. The reason I left 2 stars is because the equipment and studios are really good, though you can only book them in advance for 3 hours a week. You can come spontaneously and might have a room that you can book for 2 hours at a time. If you want easy-going studies and good studios I would recommend this school but if you want to learn intensively and professionally this is not the place for you. Thanks for reading, have a nice day.
Response: Dear Itay We’re sorry to read you were unhappy with aspects of our electronic music production course. Thank you for taking time to provide details of why it didn’t work for you personally. Thank you also for acknowledging the quality of our facilities and spaces. We appreciate any feedback we get however it is disappointing that you didn’t mention this whilst you were attending the course. This would have given us a chance to explain in more depth the innovative thinking behind the design of our learning experiences. If you're still in Berlin please don’t hesitate to come and chat with one of the members of the learning team. The first year EMP course develops foundational skills in the subject area regardless of your level of previous experience. Our learning methodology is designed to provide an individual pathway for each student based on where they are on their own learning curve together with their specific interests and needs. This is one of the reasons why we positively encourage the use of online tools as additional resources - there’s a lot of valuable information out there that can be studied in parallel that shouldn’t take up practical classroom time. Electronic music production is a broad area of study and it is normal that our students will have different areas of specialised interest which our tutors will then support. The 12 hours of teaching hours are divided into approximately 8 hours of practical workshops e.g. recording, synthesis, audio production etc. and 4 hours of coaching and development sessions which support your long term development as an artist/creative practitioner, your creative production skills and your critical thinking. Our school is following a progressive educational model. Practice-based, hands on learning is highly project based and reliant on each student’s individual endeavour. It is designed to help each student carve their own unique artistic path and develop their own vision and approach in the discipline of their choice. Our learning approach is not focused on the amount of “information” one learns, it’s about the development of key hard and soft skills required to continue developing a career in the long term. Everyone can access learning tools online, but learning how to navigate and grow within an industry takes another set of skills that need practical development. Other more traditional schools will give you the facts and information you need to produce great music with the resources and technology we have nowadays. We aim to give students something that will last longer. We want our students to have the ability to think critically and know how to adapt their skills in an ever-evolving industry and still feel confident that they can perform and be at the forefront of change as it happens. From our side, we take your feedback as motivation to speak more loudly and passionately about our teaching method. We use this teaching method because we think it provides for far more profound and long lasting results than the simple passing of information. We believe that progressive education benefits everyone though we understand that some people come with different expectations of what a learning experience should be. Thanks for your feedback; we hope that you stay close to the community. We also hope you’ve had valuable experiences and have met some amazing people whilst with us. Please feel free to come by some day.

Brenda Yong: Programme with great value! I signed up for dBs Film certificate last year and I can honestly say this is a great programme for people that want to get a jumpstart on film-making. Before I came to dBs, I had little to none technical knowledge about film-making and I didn’t know where to start on my own. I didn’t know where I could assemble a crew to film a passion project and I didn't know where I could source film equipment. dBs created a space for me to hone my craft and provided feedback for every project I made . The tutors are open to new suggestions and they are dedicated in helping you improve. If you sign up for this course, make sure you use the resources offered, ask the tutor for advice, assemble a crew amongst your peers and make films! My year at dBs was insightful and nothing short of phenomenal.
Response: Thanks so much Brenda for your review. We're pleased to read that you made the most out of our 1-year film production course and the practice-packed curriculum paid off for you. Do feel free to let us know if you missed anything in particular as that also helps us learn and improve from our side. Wishing you a lot of healthy filmmaking experiences to come! Please stay in touch, we'd love to hear how you career continues to develop!!

Marco Santucci: I came here unsure of what I wanted from this experience. They give you all the tools and freedom to make your own path. I really flourished in this environment and was able to develope the beginning of what is so far a successful career in soundtrack music. If you're motivated here you will make something of yourself and dbs still helps me a year after graduation.
Response: Thanks for your kind note Marco :) We also love how you've grown into this team, it's a real pleasure to work with you and to also witness how you continue to launch your career. Thanks for supporting the family!

Itamar Cohen: dBs was the perfect size for me - people get to know each other with the slightest effort. The staff were very qualified, helpful, and approachable, despite the fact that many of them were, in fact, English ;) I earned there some tools I use daily ever since, and made connections that go with me to this day. The program is what you make of it - the more you engage, the more you’ll learn.
Response: Thanks for your review, we're glad to hear you connected with the community while with us :) If you could let us know which programme you took we'd pass on your message to the tutors who always welcome any feedback. Kind regards!

Nicolas Avila Rodriguez: Dbs music berlin is a great place to make contacts advance in your music/film career and learn from some impressive tutors! With dedication and passion you can learn everything you need if you put the energy on it.
Response: Thanks Nicolas for the positive note :) We're proud of the great community we have here thanks to everyone's pro-activism and dedication to doing what they love.

SG Strike: Probably the best and nicest techs and staff all around. Met some of the coolest and most inspiring people there and learnt A LOT! Would recommend it to people who want to be creatively involved in music production, or want to improve their musical artistic views and visions. (got pizza for writing a possitive review)
Response: Thanks for this review, the techs will be happy to read this. Hope the pizza was tasty ;-)

Jayden Bailey: Film student here: Amazing tutors, admin stuff great people. Super hands on workshops and learn by doing film making, has led to amazing experiences with classmates. Highly recommend. PS amazing location and facilities 🧡

die schauspielfabrik berlin: what do users think?

jellenia vertov: Great drama school suitable for youngsters preparing for vows as well as older professionals. The teachers are all great and teach acting techniques with love. You always feel that you are in good hands and no matter what obstacles you have, you are lovingly supported. Totally recommended!! I started the 3 month course and had to continue to finish the year course because it was so great. One of the best years of my life.

Aviana Waedt: Here in the three-month course and then in the year-long course I was able to learn the greatest insights into acting and met wonderful people. Through the Schauspielfabrik I was able to get into acting completely professionally. One of my best decisions in life was to take a course here. I can recommend the course to anyone who wants to audition at a state school, who wants to learn something artistic and maybe is dissatisfied in his current job, or who is still looking and enjoys acting. An enrichment not only in the artistic field, but on a whole level! Thank you for your support and everything I was allowed to learn! All those interested in acting: this is the right place for you!!!

Philippa Otto: The drama factory is a great school!! I originally wanted to do the 3-month course, but when I started I decided to stay for 9 months. The subjects test and promote a wide variety of skills, the lecturers have a good idea and the lessons are also a lot of fun. The factory definitely cemented and strengthened my desire to be an actress. I'm still tuned in ;) thanks for that!!

Laura Köppel: I just finished the year course at the Schauspielfabrik and I'm incredibly grateful for this year. For everything I was allowed to learn and for all the great people I met and with whom I spent this intense time. The Schauspielfabrik is just the right place for anyone who wants to deal intensively, professionally and passionately with acting. I can 100% recommend the Schauspielfabrik and especially the annual course. Whether you want to go to an audition or simply want to indulge in the joy of playing, this really is THE address !!! Thank you for this intoxicating time and the support of all lecturers in my artistic and personal development! So to all those of all ages who are interested in acting: you've come to the right place!

Roland Eisner: In 2018 I was looking for an acting school. I really wanted to gain more experience as an actor. I was able to learn a lot in the year-long course. That changed my acting a lot. I have also developed personally and made new friends. The various teaching units (acting for the stage, camera acting, casting training, dance, voice,...) were great fun and were lovingly prepared, instructed and accompanied by the lecturers. Thank you for the great and valuable time 😊

Michael Tietz: I thank you Nicola and all the lecturers. Thanks to you, I have gained my joy of playing on stage and confidence in my abilities as an actor. Thank you for always seeing what I needed to see in me. Thanks for pushing and constantly challenging. If you want to audition or find out if the way of acting is yours, you should register here for the annual course. You will be picked up and encouraged no matter what level you are at. Every single lecturer supports you with a lot of heart and passion. To all the faculty to whom I owe so much, you are forever in my heart.

Emilia Maise: Last year I took the annual course at the schauspielfabrik and learned a lot under the guidance of the lecturers and was able to develop my artistic skills! The sfb is a great place for anyone interested in acting, with a great team of lecturers who show a lot of joy and knowledge and support every student. The schauspielfabrik is really the perfect place for everyone who wants to deal intensively with acting, regardless of whether their life path leads further in the direction of acting or not! Due to the instant familiar atmosphere, all group participants could feel comfortable and benefit from each other/the environment and draw inspiration. The year meant a lot to me and the sfd has a place in my heart :)

Tea Korac: I just finished the two week summer acting course with Nicola Heim and to be honest I was very sad when it was over. I can only say I'm thrilled. I am, was a beginner and didn't really know what to expect. I thought maybe I won't be able to open up or generally feel insecure and overwhelmed, but quite the opposite. I immediately felt very comfortable. Nicola also makes it very easy to let yourself go and leaves no one behind. She pulls even the weakest with her. You can ask anything and it will be explained until everyone understands it. I learned so much in these two weeks. About acting but also about myself. I also decided to do the annual course in September 22 because I am sure that after these months I will have everything it takes to be successful and optimistic in life. Whether it's acting or something else. I can barely wait for it. Personally, I highly recommend it to everyone. It doesn't matter whether you want to be an actor or not, in my opinion, such a course is essential for everyone to just let themselves go. Going beyond your limits and rediscovering yourself. Thank you very much for everything. I am delighted that I chose this course. Kind regards Tea

Rob Hackemesser: One of the times of my life and a real blessing. The factory and its fantastic lecturers pick everyone up where he or she is. That makes sense, passion, joy, hard work and can really open doors. In every respect. I learned so much in the year course. About the craft, the art form, the business and about me.

Claudia Schönborn: I just took part in a three-month intensive course at the Schauspielfabrik. Strongly inspired, lovingly and very professionally by my lecturers Nicola Heim, Mattis Nolte, Doreen Fietz, Ines Zahmoul, Led by Theresa Sophie Albert and Tonio Arango, the three months flew by. Although I've been working as an actress and speaker for years, they still taught me so much and got me out of my "corona hole" and showed me how multifaceted acting on stage or in front of the camera, as well as dancing and singing can be implemented. They challenged and encouraged me and my ensemble, consisting of 14 multifaceted and great members, undogmatically and very much towards the drama student. I don't want to miss these three months. Above all, I would like to thank Nicola for running such a great school with confidence, skill and love. It's a place where you can have many new experiences, with yourself and with the other ensemble members. I would take part in a course at this school again and again, knowing that I could take a lot with me. Thank you all... lecturers and ensemble participants ❤️❤️❤️
