THE FIZZ Berlin: what do users think?

Pavlin Kopankov: Best student dorms I have ever stayed at!!! The prices are great, considering how perfect the rooms are. They have all the necessary furniture for a student. The bed was really really comfortable, it was soft and comforting. The toilet was like a throne, the second I sat on it I felt like the king of the castle. I quite honestly spent at least 5 hours a day in there, it was that comfortable. All in all I would recommend it to all my friends.

Erdem Ilıca: Patrick was perfect house manager, my moving in and moving out process was very smooth with him. In addition to that, he helped about my questions in my tenancy period. Also I can recommend the Fizz to a people who comes to Berlin new, in terms of it is facilities and a great location.

miss girl: Super friendly staff and helpful staff! They host fun social events that allow us to meet other fizzies. Shoutout Patrick for saving me after I locked myself out of my room 🙏🏾

vitto p: The fizz is an amazing place. You have your own room, bathroom and kitchenette, but at the same time there are common areas and community events to meet a lot of new people. The position is great. Patrick, the house manager, is extremely nice and supportive. I would totally recommend living there!

Rohan Singh: Great location, close to all the central areas in berlin. You get the chance to meet fun people and the staff hosts events frequently which really helps in getting to know others. The only issue I really have is with the pricing. I feel like the pricing is a too high for the rooms and you end up paying a lot more than you should ideally be paying. Apart from that the fizz is great for students who have just moved in, friendly environment and great people. The staff is mostly made up of fizz residents working part time - so everyone is super sweet.

Niya Daskalova: Perfect location with a bus stop directly in front of the door, lots of supermarkets in the area, staff is really friendly and helpful :)

E M A: When I moved to Berlin, a little over a year ago, I had never been to Germany before and it was mid pandemic, nevertheless the FIZZ, and all of its employees, did a good job of making me feel welcome and part of a community. When I arrived I was greeted by a sweet guy with purple hair who answered all of of my questions, from nearest grocery store to how to set up my router. My room was in a good condition when I received it, it was like a blank canvas, so I could decorate it however I wished and I can see see the tv tower from from my room! The facilities are always in great condition and were easy to find. Though doing your washing is a bit pricey and the rent is too, you’re paying for convenience, but I wouldn’t have made the friendships I have if I had not moved here. So I’m pretty glad to have had the opportunity to be part of the FIZZ community.

Nasos DA: Great location close to S+U, bus station right in front of the building.Very active community, friendly and competent staff.

Staytoo Apartments Berlin: what do users think?

Bruno “Grizzly”: Location is pretty good, staff is friendly, people here for the most part are wonderful. Fairly well equipped and the common room is definitely a plus for either studying or relaxing. Price is probably the only downside

Elijah Mensah: This company they’re not serious.I’ve sent them several emails for student studio and they don’t even bother to reply you.

Y. Y.: I was thrilled to come to Germany and excited to be one of the first students to move in in the staytoo apartment in Berlin. Unfortunately the building was not ready. Staytoo was doing a lot to fix this issue. They were arranging a hotel, breakfast, dinner event and laundry service. Finally when I was moving in it become to get better. The location of the apartment, the people and the idea of the room is great. But for the price the common areas should have been done! This place is a good spot to be, to discover Berlin and meet new people!

Royden Cooper: This place is like a hotel. Fantastic location as well with a hip cafe in the bottom floor. The manager Mandy has attended to my every need and truly cares. I am currently staying here and could not recommend it more

Serge Klein: Clean small studios for students. My son lived there for 10 Months. Lidl at 100 m.

Eleonora Guardini: Super cool student accommodation in one of the best neighbourhoods of Berlin! I love the neutral design and communal spaces, plus its proximity to public transport.

Expelled MGIMO: Worst service. Greedy people. Extremely small apartments and very high prices. Don’t live there. It’s a pure disaster

Igor Scharich: Super

SMARTments student Berlin - Studentenapartments: what do users think?

Lilac Pixx: Hello I am please begging someone to give me an email or phone that I can contact. I have been emailing since september and received no answer so far. I have been desperately looking for an apartment in berlin for a year as well. Thank you.

Baily Rose: Soooooo small feels like a prison. Benches for beds. Whoever is an architect and plans these kinds of buildings has no sympathy towards what a thriving human needs & designs for planned obsolescence. Sure, for a refugee this would be great ! They are about 500 euro a month, but you can barely make a proper meal for yourself (the “kitchenette” is tiny) so you spend more money eating out. The washing machines have double charged me multiple times (it takes a day just to do all your laundry running up and down to check on it —- plus ! If someone opens the door on accident during a dry cycle it stops and re.charges you. I just checked my bank account & it was 15 euro for two loads !? The tiny plastic parts on the curtains are definitely a planned obsolescence design - the tiny plastic parts break easily and are fragile. Being in front of the river is nice, but there are plenty of rats !!!! Knowing that you can get a large flat in Berlin or a spacious room with more amenities, this place is a rip off for Berlin :P

DIEGO ACUÑA BERGER: The smartments are really good, the people and the social life are amazing, but it is quiet aswell when it is required to. The rooms are pretty well equipped and you can find a really nice with even nicer people Spätkauf (a 24 hours shop) with tables outside where you can drink and chil. The name is Spätkauf Spree!!

Jennifer: Nice furnished student apartment with also not so expensive price for Berlin. But sometimes the washing room, community room, and the corridor is dirty. The Hausmeister is really hard to contact.

Ayat Alali: The best place to stay in for a long term stay... Quiet, safe and clean

Ingrid Gursli: Loud music and yelling in the yard until late at night, police are on site almost every night because of noise complaints.

Ali Esen: Really nice place with nice rooms and friendly environment..!!

Santypower: I miss living here!

Marcel Franke: Great living style and affordable! Features * In house GYM * Wash and dryer (rentable) * Free internet (just works fine) * Worker space * Rentable community kitchen * Community space * Outdoor garden * Single looft for one person, not more and not less. * Fast and good customer support

Elli: living together with your friends in a modern dorm is the best!! It’s also nice located. Also, I love the workers, everyone is so nice. This place became my second home:))

Paola Saa: Nice place with supermarkets and pharmacies nearby, it’s location is not too central but the ubahn station is 5 min away in walking distance so it’s well connected. Common areas of the building such as the laundry room are not to clean.

Waseem D. Haji: A wonderful place to stay. Especially for young individuals. The Urban Club rocks!

Gordon H: Far location, but very new and complete facilities.

Sanjeev Singh: Good

user: you got to write a mail to use the oven

Andre Petroll: Very nice apartments close to the city, many public areas and a great team on site.

Studentendorf Schlachtensee: what do users think?

Haneen Lababidi: A very nice and welcoming place. I was so happy staying for 6 months. The team is friendly especially Lisa and Esther. There are many lakes around the area which makes it more suitable for run, walk or even take your computer and study there. I had the Studio in building 13, nice view and more privacy
Response: Dear Haneen, tank you very much for 5 stars! Esther and Lisa are so happy about it :-) All the best for you and greets from Schlachtensee

MUHAMMAD TAYYAB: Very good place to live especially for students. Reasons for 3 stars is only the managing office. Managing staff will behave in very good manner on first day but then they will not listen you and help you in case of any problem.
Response: Dear former resident, we are very interested to know about the way of problems that you have to solve on your own. Would it be okay for you to send us an email? schlachtensee@studentendorf.berlin. This would be very kind.

An Nguyễn: €440 per month but I have everything from kitchen stuff to living things, good deal. However, the wall is not sound proof and my next-door neighbor is super annoying.
Response: Thank you very much for your positive review! If you want to, a student tutor can help you to find an agreement with your neighbor, please email to tutor@studentendorf.berlin.

Deka Antareekshya: A very expensive place. Rooms are too small but the kitchens are well equipped. They are charging that much of money only because of the location. The location is beautiful especially during summers but that doesn’t justify the price. What I didn’t like about the place was their student policies. I think the administration doesn’t empathise with the students and charge massive amount of money which they could have easily considered. It sometimes gets a bit frustrating, begging them to understand your financial situation. I would suggest everyone to choose this place only if you’re bound to and have no other choice left or else it’s better to pursue other options.
Response: Dear Deka Antareekshya, I do not totally understand what you mean. Studentendorf Schlachtensee ist a cooperative and we do not speculate with the rents, we work to cover our costs. Rooms on the private housing market are usually not cheaper. Or do you mean the deposit? The deposit is given for safety reasons, and when te room is left unharmed, of course, every penny is returned. By the way, you have to pay a deposit everywhere. Thank you also for your rating of our landscape.

Campus Viva Berlin: what do users think?

er_san: No matter what you do, NEVER ever sign a contract with this company!! You‘ll pay the price. I lived at Campus Viva for almost 4 years. We all know how difficult it is to find housing in Berlin so I stayed. We didn‘t have warm water for several weeks. Their office is never open. They close the curtains, sit inside and refuse to answer any questions. they checked my apartment before I moved out and told me, that there is minor damage and it wouldn‘t cost me much. I cleaned my little room multiple times. They took almost all of my deposit! 1350 euro out of 1500!!!! Electricity and Water was part of my contract. I paid over 600 euro for a 20qm room AND the annual bill for cleaning/electricity which was around 200-300 euro. I moved to a new apartment and the electricity company sent me a bill stating that nothing was paid during my 4 years there. I had to pay over 1000 euro extra. I tried everything! even hired a lawyer and they told me that the contract is constructed to scam people. There was no way I‘d win at court. If you sign the contract, you‘re bound for a year. There is only a small period of time (2months I think) to end your contract. For example august and september. So even if you find a bigger apartment for the same price let‘s say in march ur depending on them and are unable to move out. If you wanna move out before that period, you have to pay them 200 euro. I thought it would be easy but guys, I had to beg them!!! For several weeks I wrote emails, Called their office for weeks, waited infront of the office every morning. They refused to let me out. At some point they just let me go but I still had to pay OF COURSE All that stress, anger, frustration was worse than any bill I‘ve had to pay. This company intentionally steals ur money. I drove to their headquarter for answers, they promised to call me back, never did. The electricity company filed a lawsuit against me cause my name is on the contract and wanted me to pay a 4 year bill + extra costs. I still can’t believe they had the audacity to go there, to make some quick money off a poor student. Everything u could think of, I tried. Shame on this company for stealing money!! I I worked for several months to pay those bills and I hope no one ever signs a contract there. Go to a hotel or airbnb but don‘t let them do this to you as well!!! I‘ve lost over 3000 euro and all the Stress I had to go through while studying was traumatizing. I never write reviews but this company deserves to be exposed! Run away it‘s not worth it

Lucia Matasari: One of the worse places to rent in Berlin. Really recommend everything else in Berlin. The service is one of the worse. I lived there for 6 months and gave my room/apartment in October 2021 and now is April 2022 and I still did not receive my deposit. Besides that they will try to make you pay for everything, as an example they have a 10 euro fee for the paper which you need to for them to prove that you pay your rent in time. You need that paper when your move out. Additional example is that you can use the laundry room just from 8AM until 11PM, after that is closed, so if you work or are not there in that time you can literally use that room. The overall experience is the worse, if you look for a place in Berlin, better waste more time searching for sth else than choosing these place.

Neo Chen: I know the housing pressure in Berlin is really horrible but I suggest you DO NOT choose here. The rent is too higher than the average but this is not the main point. The main point is that they are trying all the ways to charge you with additional fees and, if you have issues or problems, they just don’t care and response. If you want to move out, they will try their best to not response you and you need to chase them every day and then they will treat you really unfriendly.

Sefika Efeoglu: I tried to rent a room, but a staff, Arghavan Fehst, withdrawed the contract, since I learnt I could pay deposit as three installments from her manager. I did not get anything about this. I think they were scammers.

Sarah Parsa: There has not been hot water for more than two months on this property. They barely answer emails or phone calls about this problem. In addition, each tenant that I know lost AT LEAST between 100 to 200 euro of their deposit money when moving out for very silly reasons. When they hand you the apartment they go through everything very quickly skipping many problems and defects but when you want to leave, they come back and scrutinize everything painstakingly.

Adrian Madrigal: Horrible experience. People at the office attending the students are specially rude and unhelpful. The opening office hours are from 10-14 (who leaves work or university at 14). If you need any help from their side will take you ages to get anything done. They charge you even to breathe. The room are extremely small. They ask for a 1.5K deposit from which you will never get not even 20%. Honestly the worst renting experience I ever had.

unavoidable afflictions: This place is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. No hot water since two months now. They don’t reply to emails and keep the reception closed to avoid answering occupants. The only way they’ve addressed this issue is by leaving passive aggressive notices in the building that do not provide any actual useful information about the problem. Their avoidance is not limited to water issues, you have any other problem in the room and they still avoid you like the plague. If you expect provision of basic amenities and a management who has an ounce of interest or compassion towards making your stay bearable then this place isn’t for you. DO NOT take the reviews here lightly. This place is horrible. You should literally pick any other place in Berlin than this one.

Studentendorf Adlershof: what do users think?

deeksha gupta: Nice place to stay for short duration. Staff is friendly and helping. Location is really good.
Response: Thank you very much!

Céd Aumont: I spent 7 months in Adlershof and, in the end, I think it was a good place to live. The beginning was somehow chaotic and very loud but it progressively changed to a more quiet and friendly environment. The effort from the administration as well as from the elder and newer tenants made this change happened.

Zahra Syed: I really enjoyed my time at Adlershof Studentendorf and overall I had a very peaceful stay. My check in was well informed and seamless, and so was the checkout communication. I was well supported by the team, especially because both of my move ins happened to fall over a weekend and I am very grateful that the team accommodated me for that. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, I was not treated any differently from a native even though I am a foreigner. The Hausmeister is also very friendly and helpful, so is Carolin who was very fast with communication and always helped me out wherever possible. I am really satisfied with my experience at Adlershof Studentendorf. I would highly recommend this establishment and I am already missing it! I hope to come back soon whenever I am back in Berlin.
Response: Dear Zahra, thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are very happy about your good experience! Greets from Adlershof :-)

Victor: I lived here for 8 month, when the resident are seeking for help, nothing is done, the office didnt care at all, they care about the noise student make by living their life and how it impacts neighbours. But when something serious happen, it is legallity not take in account

debom ghosh: The accomodation is good...but the location is bit far from the city and other univ apart from Humboldt. And yes some passive aggressive unsupportive people in the administration, like the one replying down in my comment, who cannot take a honest feedback/review about their property and expect us to flatter their property in all respect
Response: Dear Debom, thank you for your review and sorry for the late reply. When you know a place in the city centre where we can build a village big like this please let us now ;-) We wish you all the best. Greetings from Schlachtensee

Jia Dahiya: Good place to live in for students with average budget who are enrolled at Humboldt University. Not upto mark in case of standard living. Prices are a bit higher compared to the room you are provided. A good option for ppl searching rooms in Aldershof.
Response: Thanks for your good rating! Our cooperative is not profit-orientated and we always try to keep our prices as low as possible. We'd love to be even cheaper but unfortunately we're not completely immune to the overall situation of the Berlin housing market.

Science's Bedroom: If only Studierenwerk Berlin gave rooms fast - still waiting after a year while some who cried at the counter got rooms :)
Response: Thank you for your feedback!

Salma Eltayeb: I had a great experience in this wohnheim .. it’s calm, comfortable and cosy place ..
Response: We are happy that you like your home in Berlin!

Guilherme Paes dos Santos: The location is not the best if you want to go anywhere near the city center, but FU Berlin is easily accessible. The apartment facilities are OK, my apartment in particular seems to be a bit old, but the laundry room, for example, is modern and easy to use. The price is fantastic for Berlin standards.

Arvind Parmar: Well designed architecture, short sweet and well managed eminities that are essential for students. I especially liked the concept of grouping six rooms as one apartment, it brought people together more in sence of sharing ideas, belief, understanding, knowledge and tradition. It kills your loneliness in an awesome way :)

Cobalt Cucco: Great stay for students new to Berlin. Location is great, very close to the Ubahn, staff are friendly and the apartment is thoughtfully designed. I enjoyed the seasonal events and activities planned for the students throughout the year!
Response: Dear Cobalt, Thank you for your fantastic review! It seems you have mentioned some of the most important features of our accommodations -and therefore, some of the many reasons to choose us as for a perfect young lifestyle in Berlin ;) We take pride in our offer, which not only includes a place to live, but also common areas and events for our community to come together. If you ever feel like sharing your experience with more detail, our Community Team will be glad to hear from you! Feel free to write us at community.berlin@neonwood.com. All the best, Your Neon Wood Team 😊

Peivend Ghayori: My only issue is the pricing, something that gets made up by the super-friendly staff that’s always ready to give a helping hand with a smile. Personally I didn’t take a big part In the sicial settings, but for anyone who’s completely new to Berlin it seems like a perfect place to meet new people without the struggle that normally comes with coming to a new place. We were making a big film-project when I was here and the staff were amazingly helpful with our creative endaevours. Any place that appreciates and helps creativity deserves a five-star In my opinion. Plus the staff, location and the study room and social settings, this is a perfect place to start a new chapter in Berlin.
Response: Dear Peivend, We're grateful for your detailed review and the kind words to our team :) Creativity is indeed the fuel of our community; the unique design of our common areas and apartments serves as proof of it. Our friendly team, which is available daily, is committed to our tenants' well-being and always ready to listen and assist you with any inquiries you may have. Student life can be hectic, therefore, our all-inclusive rent model, as well as our variety of extra services takes burden off your shoulders. We thank you once more for your fantastic review and hope to have you with us again soon! :) All the best, Your Neon Wood Team :)

Campus Viva: what do users think?

Adil Kay: Abzocke!!!!!!! Still waiting my deposit back. I have the feeling that they don’t want to return it. Campus viva also charged me for some extra like cleaning even my place was insanely clean when I returned the key. Stay away from Campus viva!!!!!!!!!!!

Keyu Guo: Very bad apartment, there is never a front desk. Half a year after I left, I received the bill from the previous year, and it was twice the bill received in the year before I left! I need to pay more than 600 euros in a year, if I have prepaid for water and electricity! I have lost a total of two thousand euros here. I highly do not recommend it. I am a fraud company.

Julian Pohl: No heater for 5 Weeks, leaking windows and no water for multiple days, when there is water its usually coldPS: Would give 0 stars if it were possible.Dont choose to live here!!! Its just awful

July: Worst most expensive place i ever lived in. Washing machines always broken, water outage and heating outage for one entire month in winter. Absolutely 0 help from staff here, they dont care about you. Dont come here

armin owji: Heating outage for 3 months in winter. They don’t care for their tenants. Don’t come here people.

Rajeev Guru: Nice place to stay in!

Celik Bünni: Studenwohnungen

Klara Mai: WLAN works great, is also necessary because there is absolutely no mobile reception here. Apartment is mostly clean. What bothers a bit is that the rather tinny blind rattles very loudly and makes it impossible to sleep with the window open. Personally, I am still missing a socket on the bed.

Home in Berlin | Alfred-Jung-Straße: what do users think?

Atul Kumar: If you are in need of a temporary stay in Berlin. Like for few months. This place is really good! They have 2 buildings 12 and 14 and both are equally good.

Nils Arnold: Can´t recommend at all. Stayed there for 3 months. I actually intended to stay much longer but it was not worth the money at all! Apartments are very bad equipped. This counts for the size of the furniture (bed, desk, cupboard), very small TV (no smart TV), very slow wifi and overall poor quality. For a monthly rent that high, I expected better. Also, management is bad. Understaffed and incompetent. They even kept my deposit way beyond their OWN! set deadline for refund of 1 month after moving out. Their excuse was because they are understaffed, the process takes longer. Ya, right... Do yourself the favor and add another 50/100 EUR to your budget and go somewhere in the city center.

Tanica Chow (Tanica): FOR PEOPLE WHO CONSIDERING MOVE-IN TO ALFRED-JUNG-STRASsE 12 This building is not finished at all.🙅🏻‍♀️ It is still a construction site and I know they won’t inform you that when you apply for the room online. I know because they never told me that before I moved in on 1st of September. They said it will be done by the end of September, but look at the pictures I took today! And now they said it will be done by the end of October, which I won’t trust them anymore. If you want to listen to extreme construction noise everyday from 6:30AM to 5PM, walk the stairs just because the workers occupy all the elevators...etc. or just experience of living inside a construction site, this place is for you!! 👏🏻 Pay rent and suffer!

Arash Pourdamghani: I am super duper happy about my room. The prices are high, of course, but I have been living in student dorms for a while and did not have similar experience before. The rooms are newly build with all equipment you want, and other amenities are also new. In particular, the fact that there enough laundry machines and driers removes your stress about doing laundry, plus there is always a security guard which is truly helpful when you forgot your keys. The only thing that I would wish for is less noisy elevators. They will not disturb you that much, but I think they can mute the announcements, at least during night

Dat Hoang: Similar feedback as with others. The rooms and location is quite good. Price is worth it for first apartment. I had a leaking ceiling and they gave me a new room pretty quickly, so at least the people working in the building are good. The housing administration is horrible. It took them over two months to repay deposit. When I call them, they kept redirecting me to another department and promising they would call me back. They never did. Finally, when I was researching for a tenant lawyer and threatened to go to small courts did they repay me. No explanation from anyone on anything.

Aditya Gaur: Easy living if you’re willing to spend a bit on the higher side. The apartments are serviced (i.e. everything take care of). There’s REWE and Lidl right downstairs. Nearest tram station are 4-5 mins away. Mollendorf Str & Roederplatz.
