Velicious Cafe: what do users think?

Francesco Vincent Gregor Noeske Parisi: Great iced-coffee and cakes! The perfect place to have breakfast in Berlin!
Response: Thank you for your review, I am very pleased that you enjoyed your meal.

Gingiber x: Very tasty continental style vegan breakfast. I had the avocado with tofu, which came with various root vegetables such as radish, beetroot and carrot and delicious spelt bread rolls. We also tried two of the cakes which were tasty and not too sweet. A lovely place with a good choice and very helpful and friendly service.
Response: 🤩

Raminta Blinstrubyte: How can food and coffee serving place have no WC? The waiteress behind the counter was also not helpful while providing info about a cake at all and generally not so nice. Cake was nice though.
Response: Yes, there are even some cafes that don't have a single toilet! The waitress is only human and sometimes has a lot to do and, as I found out, has explained to you several times how you can recognize the gluten-free baked goods. Maybe next time you'll be a little more patient and wait until the waitress has some time in case there's a next time. That's why I think giving a 2☆ rating is a bit exaggerated, maybe you don't realize how much that can destroy a small café. Especially if you ended up enjoying it. Steffi Inh Café Velicious

Akiko Yume: Nice, cozy, small cafe Staff is really friendly, They have a variety of cakes, cupcakes and cookies that changes daily You can choose between a lot of plant based milks for your coffee or hot chocolate too! Everything is completely vegan. They also serve breakfast (Müsli, Brötchen and more), tea, and soft drinks
Response: Thank you for your great rating, we are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us.

Milagros Mauro: My favorite café in Berlin. This place is full of love! The most delicious vegan cakes, amazing coffee. Cozy, nice music and always friendly. Thank you ❤
Response: Thank you

Alessandro Carnati: One of the worst cakes in my life, and for a hefty price. I chose the chocolate cheesecake, which unfortunately didn't taste like chocolate at all (not like a single bit). I also asked if it was going to be very sweet and the owner said no, but it was actually ultra sweet because of the dates inside. In addition, the "cappuccino" was 20% coffee and 80% foam (no exaggeration). Definitely not going back.

Abigail Zhang: Gorgeous little vegan cafe with lovely cakes. The owner recommended the pumpkin and peanut cake to me - while I initially thought this to be an unusual combination, I was pleasantly surprised by how well the flavours worked together. Delicious!
Response: Yes, the combination is a bit unusual and I am glad that I have guests like you who are open to my creation. Thank you for your great review Best regards Steffi Yes, the combination is a bit unusual and I'm glad I have guests like you who are open to my creation. Thank you for your great review. Kind regards, Steffi

j H: Good vegan cakes n coffee. Nice Café
Response: 😊

Hallo Und Danke: Steffi is the kindest person ever. Her cafe is just truly magical. You cannot get enough of her delicious cakes and pastries. So happy to have found her place in Berlin. Even if you are not vegan it is worth stopping by. She has gluten-free and sugar-free options as well.
Response: 😀

Tim Tim: I always want to support every vegan local place. But this is unfortunately not the one. It was our second time there, and the experience was the same. Very small portions, just two tiny bread pieces for a breakfast on the higher "vegan" price scale. Also the whole vibe is kind of unwelcoming of you want to sit inside and not just order a take-away.

sakura: what do users think?

Sesame Sprinkles: This vegan cafe uses mostly organic, seasonal and local ingredients. Hence, prices are a bit higher. There are cakes, cookies, scones as well as a couple of savory sandwiches. At the moment, they have a particularly large diversity of banana bread! Sweet bakery items are made on location. Looks and taste are in the style of home-made bakery. Not very refined, rather rustic and hand-made. What we had was just okay, in my opinion. The interior is decorated mostly in pink, and the atmosphere is friendly and calm. There are plenty of seats inside. Vegetarian options: all vegan Dietary restrictions: no dairy, no egg

Eugenia Mozgova: Totally amazing experience - flat white and vegan cheesecake just to die for!Iced Sakura latte- very refreshing coffee-free summer drink! Great service and place! Totally recommended. On pricey side though

Sahar Ben Shushan: Beautiful boutique coffee place, everything is so tidy and clean. The coffee is great with homemade cakes and cookies. Highly recommended! I am so in love with the place vibe, they did there really good job
Response: Hi Sahar, thank you so much for your review - we’re glad to hear you enjoy our cakes and pastries, and the overall vibe of sakura! Our team is happy to serve you coffee & cakes, thank you so much for your visit :)

Sunny bdriss: The place has a soothing atmosphere to it. The owner is very nice and the music is soft and jazzy. There's a lot of vegan options also. Only thing that's missing, imo, is decaf coffee. I will definitely come back ❤️💗

Matthias Pfeiffer: Had a very tasty (and vegan!) dark chocolate cake. It was a great blend of taste in combination with their Sakura Latte, which includes a bit of cherry blossom flavor. Thankfully not at all to sweet, just the right amount for a sweet snack at lunch 🍰☕😋 Vegetarian options: Have various vegetarian and vegan options.
Response: Thank you so much for your visit! Glad to hear you enjoyed the Choco Yuzu Cake & sakura Latte combo :)

anjana kumar: Great cafe place. Awesome place to chill out with friends. Very friendly staffs and nice service.Dishes tried: Chocolate cake, banana cake with walnut, banana cake with chocolate, mango cheesecake and of course some awesome coffees. Gives you a very good vibe.

Tudor Maiereanu: This place was amazing! The desserts they have are so fresh and tasty! Not too sweet, not too heavy, just perfect! The owners are also super nice and are more than happy to help with any recommendations in terms of the products they serve. The area itself is also very peaceful and it definitely gives a calm vibe!

Bryanna Modolo: Delicious vegan hot choc and cookie! Lovely staff. Edit: a few months later, I'm back in Berlin and back at this cafe. Just as incredible as last time. Choc hazelnut banana bread this time, and of course the creamiest hot chocolate! Vegetarian options: Vegan cafe

Antonietta Trotta: Beautiful place lovely caring service, let alone the best cheesecake ever… and the best matcha tea I’ve ever had! A paradise for vegan sweet tooths! Definitely worth trying
Response: Thank you so much for your visit, it was a pleasure to welcome you two. We're glad to hear you enjoyed your cheesecake & matcha latte :)

Polly Straughen: Near to my hotel and wish I had found it sooner. Great filtered coffee and a sweet roll. Then grabbed a vegan sandwich and banana bread for the train ride. Wonderful service. Eat inside or out.

The Sanctuary Berlin: what do users think?

Syed Uzair Raza: The best vegan Italian confectionery store in Europe. I feel the world needs to experience a bite. The staff is super kind and i recommend everything. No place to sit inside unfortunately. Tip: don’t go there too late on Saturday and Sundays i.e after 2pm everything is sold out
Response: That’s such a nice and kind review, thanks a lot Syed 🙏🏻🖤🌱

Benjamin Brown: Small vegan bakery, cakes and focaccia look and smell amazing but thought they were a bit dry. Coffee was great though
Response: Hi Benjamin! We are sorry you didn’t like them :( we usually have extra juicy focaccia and pastries, but it could be that after standing in the counter for a while they got a bit dry, it happens with fresh products 🙏🏻 From the pics I can see you came over straight after opening, we have made improvements since that time, perhaps now our products can satisfy you a bit more 😉 ciao 🌱

Victoria Hiz: Amazing place with great food and stuff. We tried croissants with vanilla and both types of maritozzo, they were GREAT! But special thanks for your tasty focaccia - the best I’ve tried so far!!!
Response: Ciao Victoria! We are really happy to hear that 🙏🏻 thanks a lot and see you next time then 🥐☕️🖤

Amy Harris: Can’t believe these pastries are vegan. So amazing and beautiful. Also be sure to get focaccia while you’re there. Highly recommend!!
Response: Thanks so much Amy !! 🖤 super happy to hear that 🙏🏻🥐

Antonietta Trotta: Just amazingly and deliciously good. Mouthwatering truly! The best vegan pastry I’ve ever had (and luckily we’re blessed with very good vegan coffee places in Berlin). I brought non vegan friends with and they were so impressed! I definitely want to go for a workshop next time there is one. Also coffee is great and staff is very nice too! I know I am bias but if you think about that: Italian vegan pastry. I mean, it’s saying something 😃🙌
Response: Thank you so much Antonietta! 🖤🌱

Kat Klein: This wonderful café reminded me of my time living abroad in Italy. Almost every day I would go for a marinara focaccia. The one I tried here at the Sanctuary tasted just as delicious! Don’t get me started on the desserts. The girellas are a dream! Prices are very fair considering location, quantity and quality.

Susanna Kallio: By far the BEST Vegan bakery Berlin has to offer!🌱 There's something for every taste from sweet to savory. Me and my friends will keep on coming back here! Highly recommend!🥐☕️
Response: Thanks a lot Susanna 🖤 we are grateful to read such a great review, see you soon then ☕️🥐🌱

Nadia R: It was fresh and delicious. FINALLY, GREAT COFFEE IN BERLIN 👏 (not your regular acid water sold as espresso) and the service was very friendly. Try the croissants too. They are good. They have amazingly looking salty food as well - focaccias. All vegan. Cool folks go there, as I’ve noticed. And they accept cards which is great. Actually, cards only.
Response: That’s a very nice feedback! We really appreciate it, grazie mille Nadia🙏🏻🖤

Flora: Nothing like walking into a place and not having to research each item individually to find out if you can eat it or not. I tried both some sweet and savory stuff and it was delicious. Looking forward to having coffee and a croissant there next time!
Response: Thanks a lot Flora 🖤 see you next time then 🥐☕️

Emily Tandrayani: Love all their sorts of croissants, so good plus it's vegan. Def worth to try !
Response: Thank you Emily 🖤

FREA Bakery: what do users think?

DAR F: First time we came we ate the pastries - was amazing. Second time we took the pastries and order food from the kitchen. The pastries are pretty amazing. The brioche is to die for. But... the food is lacking. We were 4 people and we were super disappointed from the food. We ordered: Savory plate - beside the amazing pastries its a small dish for 12 euros. We didn't like it. Crunchy salad - small amount of sauce, was kinda tasteless. Avocado sandwich - nice dish. Basic. Drink - ginger, carrot, apple - perfect!!! We will definitely come again for the pastries but skip the food. Unfortunately

Sesame Sprinkles: This is a large bakery cafe producing all kinds of vegan bakery items. It is based on self-service, so you choose your food, order at the counter and pick it up yourself. The menu includes sweet bakery items like cakes, croissants and cookies, to sourdough breads, savory sandwiches and tray-baked sourdough pizza. Prices are somewhat high compared to regular bakeries in Berlin, but all ingredients here are from sustainable farming. Overall, bakery items were professionally made. Items with puff pastry were crispy and flaky, greasy and indulgent. Particularly, the pistachio cream-filled croissant was amazing! The only thing I didn't like were the coffee-based drinks. The cafe is located inside a corner building and offers plenty of seating options. The restrooms are spacious and clean as well. It also appears to be a child-friendly place since there were several customers with strollers and the restrooms is equipped with a diaper changing table, too.

Andrea Signoretto: Excellent bakery, sourdough, rye and brioche bread were on point! The cafè is quiet and relaxing, nice furniture and a professional visible kitchen. The FREDA plate includes everything salty and sweet, great hummus and peppers. The cardamon buns are great and the croissant as well. We got them with some wonderful Marmelade and nut butter. The place is recently open and the staff is still gearing up, but the vision is clear and the attention to details and quality from the managers is really showing.
Response: Thanks a lot Andrea. See you soon hopefully :). Best regards.

Moritz: Just awesome breakfast! All vegan all delicious! The croissant is one of the best I ever had as well as the sweet stuff. I go there basically every morning when I’m in Berlin. Prices are fair and the staff is just super nice! A must if you visit Berlin
Response: Thanks a lot Moritz :)))

Gregor Kobe: I. Love. This. Place. Staff friendly and accommodating, usually there is such a struggle when I say: “I want a coffee with a bit of milk”, here it was easy, no trouble! You get a little buzzer, and when I took the drink, he asked me if I want warm milk or cold, if inside the drink or on the side, it felt as if I was in a service oriented country:) The avocado bread was so tasty, the pickled garnish on top adds a bit of sourness and makes the dish lighter and refreshing. I’m incorporating this place into my morning routine.

Diana: Great sweet and savoury pastry options; t best things on the menu are the Oliven Twist and the Pfaumen-Spandauer. I can also recommend the Tomaten Twist as well. Great coffee also, I had a flat white that arrived hot and speedily. As a café-goer I can attest to the uniquely pleasant and cosy atmosphere, even on grey days. Sit by the window for a comfortable seat and a nice view of the street.
Response: Thanks a lot Diana for this awesome feedback.

Julia Mai-Anh Vu: For a self service place the staff is very friendly. Breakfast was good but the croissants are out of this world!! Can’t believe they are plant based-will come back for sure! Matcha could do with more flavour. It just tasted like oat milk.
Response: Thanks for the feedback. We ll have a look into the matcha :). Best regards

Katie Mai: Delicious!!! Will for sure be back. We ordered the savoury platter, the Bao, and two pastries. All so good. Great vegan cafe and brunch spot in Berlin

Moeava hoefnagels: Such unfriendly service, and a very expensive salad. I get if your food is amazing that your staff is a bit unfriendly, but this was ridiculous, snobby and unfriendly. The bread was ok, it’s better than what I expected, but 20 euros for humus, some roasted potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, some pickles and cold salad 😂 so much hard work went into the cooking 🤣. I didn’t feel bad at all that I didn’t leave a tip.
Response: Thanks a lot for the feedback. We always help our costumers to find the right spot where to pick up the food. Sorry that this offended you. You always find the menus on the table which show you the price and what you are getting for it. For the Savory plate which you ordered the price is 13,00 EUR. All our foods are 100% organic and everything is made in house. It was nice having you for 2 1/2 hours with your family enjoying all the comfort and service we put in that place. The whole FREA Bakery team wishes your family all the best for the next year.

sori kim: I always choose sandwiches, looks small but make me super full and taste good as well. Pastries are ok to me, For me it was too hard and way too sweet. But some people would like it. its not specially good but you get def good quality bread. And i like their fresh pressed juice.

Ido Simyoni: Sadly they didn’t have any gluten-free options so I had to skip but my friend tried their brownie and said that it was too sweet for him. They did have one vegan option. service was very kind and friendly though .

M. V.: Delicious, moist and rich cupcakes with authentic cream cheese frosting, beautifully decorated and presented! A very tasty vegan option was available. Flavourful coffee, a cosy and relaxing atmosphere and adorable service make this the perfect cupcake experience. Thank you, I'll definitely be coming again!

Justina M: I tried two vegan cupcakes (raspberry and chocolate) and they were very tasty, particularly for what I have come to expect to find in Germany. Like many other reviewers, I do think they could use less sugar without compromising on the overall experience (particularly the raspberry one was extremely sweet),but I enjoyed them regardless. The cake base could be softer/more moist if these were to keep up with e.g. American cupcakes.

Michaela Stephan: Nice looking and very rich tasting cupcakes. I liked the variety of offered flavors. They are very sweet, but hey, it’s a cupcake - they have to be ;)

tanya prasad: They have the best cupcakes in berlin and its run by really sweet people! My favourites were the raspberry and salted caramel.

Cassandra Schramma: Every single time I go in here, everyone is SO friendly! Their vegan cupcakes are absolutely amazing and this might be the only place in all of Berlin where you can get PROPER cheesecake (not quark cake!)!!! I should have written a review ages ago but I’m writing one now. Go here! If you like sweets and love friendly people… go here now! This place is heaven. ❤️

Vana Mavrakana: Amazing shop, just go early. After 17:00 there is barely anything left

Rafael Santamarta: Best cupcakes I’ve ever eaten. The brownie cookie dough sandwich is to die for. Plus they are always super friendly and patient.

D A V I D: We bought a very expensive (though gorgeous) cake for my sister's birthday that turned out incredibly sweet- every single person at the party agreed and at the end when we cleaned up we had to collect - and throw away- an unfortunate amount of half eaten pieces. When we send a message to you guys, all we got was a "sorry you didn't like your 170EUR cake, it's always this sweet, nothing we can do" answer, which was really disappointing to say the least.
Response: Hi David, as we already told you: an Oreo cake with buttercream and chocolate filling plus chocolate ganache is sweet and this is exactly what you ordered. I am sure if you order spicy food you are not surprised if your food is spicy. Same here!

NDIDI ASIODU: Lovely tasty cupcakes with a wide array of flavours . Also vegan options are available. It's small but very cute place and great ambience. You also have the option of sitting outside. The staff and service is warm.and very friendly. I totally love going here to pick up my weekly cupcakes.

Zazza Vegan and vegetarian dishes: what do users think?

milawka nurgalieva: I love their food! Tasty and homemade, really it tastes like home. I sometimes being tired of variety of cuisine that Berlin suggests to me, I just want simple food without exotic spices or flavours. And this is perfect match. And fair price which makes me happier Cautios: they don't accept card

René Schellekens: Excellent coffee. Very tasty Bircher müsli. So ideal for breakfast. But also very tasty salads and pastries. It’s a small place so little room to sit. Very friendly staff

Sungsoo Who?: i dont recommend. no toilet, cash only. the dessert was very dry. it taste like berlin so local experience i guess!!!

Maria Lynce: In April I went to Zazza and loved it! They were 2 really nice ladies, they were very polite and friendly ! We really liked the place, the food and the service! Now in July I don’t know what happened, arrived today to Berlin and went there craving the peanut cake and there was a guy and an old lady, very rude, not even a hello, made me feel like trash. I will not be returning!

Dom: It's a good bakery in the neighborhood with fresh pastry, some bread rolls and vegan/vegetarian types of lunch dishes to eat on site (space is small and limited) and to take away. Reusable plastic boxes for 2,50€ are available. The dishes are most of the time freshly prepared and taste good. Pastry is usually fresh as well. Coffee-wise I can't say, haven't tasted it, yet. But there is an amazing coffee shop (only) next door. Try out Zazza, esp. for their crossaints and lunch dishes, which I like. Prices are ok.

Lana Miau: Eat at your own risk. I got a small bowl with chickpeas, beetroot and rice. While eating I found a big stone that i thought it's going to crack my teeth. Owner said it's from the chickpeas and that it's normal 🙄

Milana Nurgalieva: Tasty and not so expensive! (I was eating before on Mercedes benz platz 😅) Good meat, I tried beef cutlets This bowl cost me 5.8 eur

Jan Demming: Unfortunately, I came after eating somewhere else before. So I only had an oatmilk cappuccino, which was amazing. But everything looks soooo delicious! Very friendly personnel, big choice of sweet and savory foods. Will come back!

Abdul Mansoor Mohammed: Super variety and yummy food. I love this placeFood: 5/5 | Service: 4/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Maiwenn Charpentier: Great place for a quick and tasty vegan lunch! I ordered a bowl and you can pick up 3/4 different salads or baked food so you end up with a lot of food - all delicious and so affordable! The service was also very friendly

Brammibal's Donuts (Maybachufer): what do users think?

Justin Shircliff: To be honest, at first I just saw a donut shop and thought that everything looked delicious. When I entered, and saw the donuts, my thoughts were confirmed. And then I tasted the Boston cream variety and it was delicious. After all this, I found out this place is vegan, and I would’ve never known it. Friendly and fast service, definitely worth a try.

Ewelina M: This place is HEAVEN. Guilty-free (unless you’re on a diet, that is), plenty of amazing, tasty looking donuts, bunch of great flavors to choose from. I went for strawberry - which seemed the least interesting to me at first, but the taste positively surprised me, cookie dough - not really my thing, the cookie ball in the center didn’t meet my expectations, salted caramel - nice and ultra sweet, not very salty though. The base, so donut itself is really great and well balanced - fluffy and tasty.

Sesame Sprinkles: If you think, vegans are missing out, then this place will change your mind. This donut factory makes unbelievably good donuts, which dont fall short of "normal" donuts. In fact, they offer so many more and exciting flavors than regular donut places. Non-vegans would never guess that these donuts are vegan! The donuts are soft, greasy, sweet and addictive - lacking nothing to make them vegan junk... eh... comfort food! 🙃

Amna pp: Delicious donuts! Every month they come up with new varieties of donuts. I took my sister there and she loved it although she doesn’t have a very big sweet tooth. Staff is friendly too!

dL S: I reaaally wanted to love these vegan donuts but the ones I tried were mediocre at best. The donuts taste as if a bread stick or a dinner roll decided at the very last minute it wanted to be sweet instead of savory and then just O V E R compensates. It's as if the donut bread and the frosting/icing/flavoring, during an unsucessful night out, locked eyes across a bar at closing time and figured "eh, why not?". The ambiance, decor and staff were great at this location.

Marcus Smith: I’m not vegan but these donuts were excellent. Airy, fluffy, and the topping provided complex flavors. I saved this location after seeing it in a youtube travel video ❤️

D Yen: Simply amazing. Especially the macadamia coffee donut. It's to.die.for shared them with friends and indulged a bit with a matcha latte which wasn't sweet, the perfect combi! Thanks a million for delicious donuts yum! Another thing I love about Brammibal's is that you can pay with card, which is not to be taken for granted in Berlin!
Response: Thank you for the great review :) glad to hear you liked our donuts!

Rita Sousa: Nice donuts with fluffy dough, salted caramel is definitely the best one.The store and atmosphere are also very pleasant, the staff can speak English and is helpful explaining the different donuts on seasonal rotation and are also happy to make recommendations. Payment by card only.

HoneyPeach: Came all the way from London and all I have to say is omg. my friend is vegetarian so we went here for dessert & these doughnut were amazing and it is vegan friendly. love it and would definitely recommend :)

Bruno Peres: Good selection of vegan donuts. Some are too sweet for my taste and you need to try a few until you find your favorite one :)

Brammibal's Donuts: what do users think?

Loay: The best donuts in Berlin. Who would thought Vegan donuts would taste that good? I ordered half a dozen from there with a cappuccino and an Iced latte. All the donuts tasted better than each other literally. Donuts are indeed heavy, but they are lighter than anywhere else since it is Vegan. Excited to try all the other branches as well whenever I am craving some donuts, yumm!

Sonia Menghani: The best donuts I have ever eaten. Really soft with amazing flavours. They serve good coffee ☕ too. Spacious and pleasing interiors. A great meeting place for friends. And the good part is that everything served here is vegan. Their tag line interestingly is "Donut eat animals".
Response: Thank you for your kind words and review Sonia, we're so happy to hear that you had a great experience!

Luis Cermeño: I absolutely loved this place. I wasbrought here by my partner to celebrate my bday!! 100% vegan donuts, 100% of products are vegan. Truly worth noting. Being vegan is a choice!! Not a side business!! Amazing, love it!! Best place to have a coffee and a 🍩 in Berlin.

Carole-Ann: Delicious donuts and coffee. Even if you're not vegan, these are good donuts. They have the AC, which a life saver during the heat wave, wifi and power outlets. Staff is super friendly.

Ian El-Dana: I saw a line outside the door of this donut shop and had to stop and see what the fuss was about. I was not disappointed, these are pretty good donuts, they are all decorated well and look delicious. The dough is fresh and fluffy and the fillings are full of flavor. I tried the strawberry rhubarb and passion fruit and both had delicious sour fillings and a nice doughy texture. To my shock, after eating the donuts my partner pointed at the sign indicating these were all vegan, we would have been oblivious to this fact otherwise. I enjoyed these assuming they were full of delicious butter, gelatin, and eggs; but somehow the team at Bramminal's has figured out how to make something delicious without. We ended up coming back again twice on our trip to try more flavors and we'll come back on future trips to Berlin!
Response: Thank you Ian for the kind review! This literally made our day!

auty florence: this was a treat and a half !! so many flavours of yummy donuts, it became impossible to choose!! we eventually went with winter spice lattes, cherry & gingerbread donut and a zimtstern donut. everything tasted utterly gorgeous, even my non-vegan sister loved it all! the layout of the cafe was so cute; simplistic yet effective. the staff were so lovely and helpful when we muddled up our german. would definitely come back again 🏻

Mrew S: As someone who isn't usually a fan of donuts, the donuts here are amazing. Not overly sweet, each has its unique flavor and texture. I didn't have the coffee here, but my travel mates both enjoyed theirs. My favorite of the ones I tried are the strawberry chocolate and red velvet with (strawberry cream?) flavoring. The tiramisu was delectable as well, with layers of independent flavors.

Mariana Pereira: I don't even know how to start, since everything that I tried was insanely good! The dough is super light, you don't have the heavy feeling after eating it, and the sweetness is just right, and the best thing: all vegan! I strongly recommend the Strawberry & White Chocolate donut - for me, it was the best one! Enjoy! 🍩💕

Samuel: these are some of the best donuts I've ever had, and would not be able to guess that they were vegan if I had not known. coffee is good as well. on top of that, the cafe itself is beautiful with its pastel pink theme. highly highly recommend stopping by here.

Arianne Rodriguez Hart: Background: I am not GF, but I have enough friends who are bakers and GF or celiac that I had to do the research. This bakery offers options for sweets and the more traditional bread-y items. Personal favorite of the breads is the Mohrenbrötchen. For sweets, don't leave without trying the Käse-Mohn-Kuchen. I tried everything on the menu about 6 months ago and again today. Everything was consistent quality from last time, and we were impressed with 90% of what we tried. The Honig-Marzipan-Torte was a little dry, and Mohnstollen was too sweet for my taste. Aside from this, they offer hot drinks and have a lot of seating, so if you want space for a big coffee gathering on a rainy day, this would be your best secret spot. And the guy here is so sweet, you can also speak in English and Spanish with him!
Response: Hi Arianne, thank you for taking time to write this detailed feedback. We appreciate that much and wish you all the best for the future. Stay healthy.

Adrian Popescu: I'm always happy to find a gluten free backery. The city would be better with more options. Brotquelle offers a nice selection of pastry, cakes and bread. The mediterranean bread was easily one of the best I had. The croissants mimic more the "traditional" versions, rather than the "hard, concentrated" gluten free ones. More... puffy. I've also tried one of the many breakfast options they had. The tomato-toskana spread being by far the best. It's not an impressive breakfast or something one can't get by spending 20 minutes in a grocery store. However, given the limited GF breakfast options, I think it's OK.
Response: Dear Adrian, thank you very much for your detailed feedback. We really appreciate that! We wish you all the best and are looking forward to see you again.

Erin Buchwald: Excellent gluten free bread and pastries. The owner was so kind and friendly. I ordered so many things to take home. It is rare to find a dedicated gluten free kitchen in the US (outside of the big cities). Everything was DELICIOUS and fresh. I would recommend to anyone gluten free or normies.
Response: Dear Erin, thank you for taking time to give such a good feedback. We appreciate that and wish you all the best. Stay healthy. Greetings from Mario and his team.

Dan: Friendly service and very good products for a gluten free bakery, but not good enough to attract those who don't need gluten free products. €6.5 for a hot chocolate and chocolate tart
Response: Dear Dan, thank you for your honest feedback, which we appreciate. Mario and his team wish you all the best and stay healthy.

Lorena Martinez: The place is really nice 👌 for breakfast and specially for "buñuelos" are amazing 👏 😋 I really recommend this place 😀 the service is great.
Response: Dear Lorena, thank you for taking time to give such a good feedback. The whole team appreciates that and wish you all the best.

Rachel Williamson: Amazing! We had breakfast and also tried many of the baked goods. All were fantastic! The couple who own and operate this adorable shop were very kind and helpful! We cannot wait to return!!
Response: Dear Rachel, thank you for your fantastic feedback. Mario and Jutta are looking forward to your next visit.

Han: Absolutely amazing gluten free bakery! We were amazed by the selection of different gluten free products and they tasted amazing 😊 Staff were really friendly, well worth a visit.
Response: Dear Han, thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you liked it. Mario and his team wish you all the best and stay healthy.

zustarkdosiert: Really an awesome bakery with many gluten free pastry. Unfortunately some biscuits/pastries are only available on specific days.
Response: Thank you for your awesome feedback. We know by experience, that some products don`t sell at specific days. And because it is a lot of work to produce them and then we don`t sell them and they are leftover, we decided to make some biscuits and pastries only on specific days. Mario and his team wish you all the best and stay healthy.

Emily Chandler: The bakery and the baker are friendly and inviting. We had cake for my dad's birthday. The cakes and tart we are wonderful. There are breads as well as pastries.
Response: Dear Emily, thank you for your nice feedback. Mario and his team are looking forward to see you again and wish you all the best.

Elisha Wise: An excellent gluten free bakery. We had a lovely breakfast of fresh, warm bread and jam for a good price. Very helpful staff despite some language barriers - thank you!
Response: Dear Elisha, thank you for taking your time to give us such a nice feedback. Mario and his team wish you all the best and happy Easter.

Brammibal's Donuts (Friedrichshain): what do users think?

Justin Shircliff: To be honest, at first I just saw a donut shop and thought that everything looked delicious. When I entered, and saw the donuts, my thoughts were confirmed. And then I tasted the Boston cream variety and it was delicious. After all this, I found out this place is vegan, and I would’ve never known it. Friendly and fast service, definitely worth a try.

Edel Coradi: I've been to this place because I friend of mine took me there. I was not expecting to né anything special because I'm not really into donuts but I was completely surprised with what I ordered. I tried two different flavors, a strawberry one and a lemon one, both amazing. Usually donuts make me feel stuffed and full of regret, not this one. Think about when you see Homer Simpson eating one and you'll get the picture. I also ordered a cappuccino and it was the best I've ever had, ir totally ruined cappuccinos for me because I know I won't drink one as good as this.
Response: Thank you Edel! We're happy you enjoyed our donuts & coffee so much. See you soon :)

Sidharth Jangra: The best vegan donuts I have every had. Plus they have so many varieties to choose from. The donuts are soft, fresh, and not too sweet. Highly recommend this place.

Ramesh Thapa: I’m not a Huge Donut fan but Brammibals donut I just love it. I’m in Love with salted caramel hazelnut. It’s vegan Donuts and Probably the best in Berlin. Highly recommend 😊

Romain Torres: Donuts are really expensive, I was shocked, also it's 12€ for a box of 4 which isn't a bargain compared to buying 4 individually. They only take card for some reason, no cash, which is surprising in Germany. 💳 I had a donut cinnamon and sugar and it was a bit disappointing, like dry and not really fresh but it was okay. Just okay. 🍩

Illia Samotoi: Their vegan donuts are just mindblowing!!! Can you image a combination of mango and hibiscus? I can tell y'all - this is freaking delicious. Definitely recommend ❤ On the photo below you can see the following donuts (flow the left to the right, from the top to the bottom): Hibiscus Mango, Key Lime Pie, Tiramisu, Chocolate Peanut Fudge.
Response: Thank you for the kind feedback!

Viktor D.: Im gonna give it 4 stars because the staff wasn’t that friendly and polite. I have been so far to every single brammibal store in Berlin! I’m always super excited about the new sorts each month!

Kevin Crenshaw: I've been tricked!!! Had!! Bamboozled!!! After I and my man forcibly ate all the doughnuts, we looked at the box and printed there... For all the world to see!! Mocking us!!! IT'S VEGAN! THE NERVE for these doughnuts to taste so damn good! I...I who swore, that I'd rather give birth that eat vegan... Actually enjoyed(and several times thereafter) Vegan doughnuts. No vegans were harmed during this photo. I think she didn't want to be seen with a carnivore.

Bloo Hinau: Oh my glob, such amazing donuts. When traveling it’s so refreshing to find vegan spots that actual have great tasting items. These donuts were so flavorful and the service was amazing. I had the red velvet and the chocolate peanut fudge. Next time I visit Berlin, I will definitely come back for more donuts!

Tomás Fonseca: Very popular chain in Berlin. This might be their biggest store but is also the busiest with a constant waiting line outside (at least during the weekends). The donuts are amazing and definitely some of the best in Berlin. They have different flavors per month, so there is always something new to discover

Brammibal's Donuts (Alexanderplatz): what do users think?

Viktor D.: First of all the girl there was so talkative, humorous and polite that her attitude made my day! The donut 🍩 I got was their special one for March which was with pistachio! It was super yummy! The taste 10/10 the dough 10/10, I’d say that the price is worth it for such a memorable experience! I cannot wait to try more of their donuts! 🤩

amyzior: So many vegan donuts to choose from! They're all vegan, 100% plant-based :) Sometimes they do seasonal donuts, 2.90 for a classic 3.50 for a filled donut You can get a discount for buying 4 or more. Super tasty donuts and always happy to have vegan spots like this around the world ❤️

Donovon Tan: I absolutely love the Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake and Peach Crumble. The dough itself is super fluffy and it is overall not overly sweet too with the acidity from the lemon cheesecake and Peace Compote balance out the sweetness. If you’re not a fan or something too sweet then I recommend you getting the Boston Cream Donut. This donut is filled with Vanilla Custard which is not too sweet and dipped with dark chocolate ganache which contains less sugar than milk chocolate. Follow me on Instagram @donnie_foodie for more food content and review around Berlin, Germany and around the world ❤️

Henning Dahlén: As lovely as always. Staff was great. The blueberry cheese-cake flavour wasn't my favourite but still good, and I really liked the cinnamon sugar one.

Diana A: Nice place with some good vibes and coffee! However, 2 out of 3 donuts were a bit underwhelming. The Boston cream was a bit tasteless, the Banoffee too sweet! I would recommend the White Nougat Pistachio though!Kind staff and the place js really nice too!

Francesco Bianchi (Taliesin): The place is super cozy and the staff is kind and pleasant. The donuts are AMAZING - and vegan too! The coffee is also very good. Worth a stop!

Billy Fatels: Tasty Donuts. Pricey, but really soft fresh and doughy. It’s a vegan place. Nice knowledgable waitresses, talk German and very good English as well. No toilet, though and if you are turned off by unshaven legs, Thi might not be your place. 😬

robyn fenix: amazing vegan donuts! the flavors change monthly and on monday they have cinnamon rolls as well. 10/10

Emma Green: Vast selection of vegan classic and premium doughnuts. E.g. beinenstich, boston cream, cinnamon sugar, tiramisu, chocolate-cherry etc. They all looked fantastic and there are so many choices. I had the beinenstich doughnut which had crunchy caramelised almonds on top and a thick vanilla cream/custard inside, which was rich and silky. The dough itself was light and was not greasy at all like some doughnuts can be. I have not tried the cranberry-walnut doughnut yet. This is a coffee and doughnut café and I did not see any tea selection, so not great if you want a tea with your doughnut but there are plenty of other coffee and soft drink options. No gluten-free options. In the hour or so spent at the café, there was a constant queue. It went down quickly but is a very popular haunt.

Ellie Blackmore: Delicious donuts and coffee! The coffee is a little expensive (4€ for a small latte) but it’s good and the staff are very friendly. I like to support vegan places and would definitely come here again! The donuts aren’t the best I’ve had but the flavours are interesting and they are delicious.
Response: Thank you for your kind and honest review Ellie, we look forward to serving you again in the future!

GENUINE TREATS contemporary deli: what do users think?

jenny s: its a lovely little shop and the owner was super nice and friendly. a shame that they only have outdoor seats (esp when it's raining and chilly). i had a cappuccino (which was ok) and a carrot cake (a bit heavy to my liking.. its all nutty without much "cake" texture). overall an average experience - don't think I would go back...

dog: Falling in love straight away when we walked in this place, good cakes, good muffins, good wine and tea, friendly staffs too! 🧡🧡

Ludovic Wolff: Amazing and friendly service. Food is great and taste really home made with love. It’s a great place to find vegan cakes. (I ain’t vegan but the pecan brownie is great!) I disapprove entirely with the comment from this “Jenny s”. How can you rate a place negatively just because of their space? Absolutely ridiculous. Take your food to go or come in spring summer to enjoy it outside.

Cai: The wtaff was so friendly and they have a Wide vatiety of sweets and savoury options. The ice matcha latte was really good, refreshing and tasty.

Tobias Kowalski: I go to this place mainly for lunch. The owners are super friendly and the food exactly what I need for a lunch. It's delicious, healthy and has good quality. They offer various dishes from vegan to meat with different sorts of side dishes. In July/August they had been closed and I though it was for good but now they opened again and I am very happy to have them back :) What I also like is that they offer all dishes in a re-useable"Weck" jar so you can heat it up at home or anywhere else.

Diogo Resende: Cakes were delicious. Moritz provided an excellent service as well.Edit: adding photos from other times I visited. Always delicious!

Alperen Türkol: What a hidden gem! Randomly ran into this place, sat down for lunch and was blown away. It's all homemade lunch and cakes, all amazing, definitely worth a visit for an afternoon snack or lunch.

Jennifer Haack: Love this shop it’s super cute with great coffee, food, and desserts. Reminds me of the little coffee shops / specialty stores you can find in the US.

P. G. Matweew: Yummy yummy yummy. Food was amazing and the team was super friendly and positive. Great vibes all around, highly recommended.

Tamay Jentjens: Amazing place, amaaaazing!Healthy, very warm-hearted people, homemade with care!

Försters - Das Vegane Restaurant: what do users think?

Raz Dahan: Great traditional German food with a fine dine twist. The Schnitzels were delicious, texture was super and paired well with sauce and potatoes! We also had the lax tartar hash browns which were good and the Tiramisu which was excellent❤️ The staff were really nice and the service was lovely.

As Per Casper: It was quite good! As a non vegan I would say it almost tastes the same as a veal schnitzel. Enjoyed the sides too! I would have loved for it to be a bit thicker since it's deep fried. I got more of the fried crumbs than the "meaty" part which is a shame cause the taste was good. I would have also liked a baked option considering how thin it was. Oh well... And it took around 40 minutes for me to get it. Don't keep me waiting that long for a skinny schnitzel ;)

Marta Rosolowska: Sublime foodie experience which is not that common in vegan restaurants. Sojaschnitzel is a must to try at least once. It was so rich in taste, I just can’t! This restaurant definitely deserve more recognition, since everything from staff through ambiance to food was just perfect! Highly recommended :)

Ahmad: I was amazed by the choices, I could for the first time know the taste of a schnitzel. We tried several dishes as a group, duck liver, asparagus soup, desserts… all were tasting good and as per people who knew the original taste of several dishes, it was too close. Couple of dishes weren’t available by the time we visited.

Rodrigo Azevedo: I had been twice in this place and tasted some plates. Definitely recommend the vegan cheese wedges, they are perfect, and the creamy chanterelles. The Schnitzel with potato salad and cucumber salad is also very tasty. One of the few restaurants that offer veganised traditional German cuisine. The place has a nice atmosphere and is usually full, definitely recommend booking a table.

Freja Oldrup: Had a reservation for two but my friend ditched me. Chose to go anyways. Had such a great time, the staff is so sweet and the food was absolutely amazing, the vegan take on traditional German food is such a nice idea! Especially when you're there as a tourist but want a taste of Germany regardless of being vegan.

zipo13: Gourmet vegan restaurant with a minimal menu. Meals are very well presented. Ordered that salad and the schnitzel. Salad was amazing but the schnitzel was too oily. Bottomline is its a nice vegan restaurant.

Felix Hoffmann: Very good vegan restaurants in Berlin. We had starters, main dishes and a dessert and everything was very delicious! Not the cheapest option but worth the price :) Vegetarian options: All vegan

Mary Tobin: Best vegan restaurant I've been to in Berlin! Paella and schnitzel were a hit! Tiramisu and house wine also divine! Will be back!

Vishal Patel: Food here is totally amazing!! I cannot fault it. We had a draft beer and an apple cider mojito for our drinks before we ordered our food. This is where the service went downhill for us... We had ordered a main dish as a starter for my wife and I to share (which was made clear to the waitress) then 2 main courses, but then another waiter arrived with some dishes which were not made clear to us and we declined one dish which we had not ordered. Then the waitress came over and was frustrated that we had cancelled our main course order, which was not the case... we then tried to order a glass of white wine to have with the main couse but the waitress walked away from us twice before we managed to order it on the third time.... Overall the food is amazing and so tasty but the service from the particular waitress we had was not great... it did not ruin our experience of the restaurant as the food was fantastic but the service could have been better... 😀

Sunshine Vegan Berlin: what do users think?

Marijn Driesen: Love Thai food, but it is hard to get really good and flavorful Thai food outside of Thailand. Sunshine Vegan Restaurant changed that! All vegan Asian restaurant and so tasty. Went back 2 days in a row.

Shankey Sinha: It’s a nice vegan place with varieties of options to order. The main dishes have large portions and the small dishes are too good. Only cash payment accepted. Staffs are friendly and nice. Service is fast and timely.

Lovis: This restaurant has a gorgeous vegan menu (with pictures - you know exactly what to expect). The staff is really attentive to your comfort and keeps the place really clean. Prices are fair. Portions are perfect. The taste of the food is divine. For most dishes you can choose between seitan-duck, vegan prawns, seitan-chicken and tofu - which is really good especially if you can't eat seitan. I highly recommend this beautiful little restaurant. My highlight was the chili-lemongrass sauce. I can't wait for my next visit.

Dominika Korol: A very nice vegan place in a central location. The menu is not too long which is great. Fresh and nicely served food, it was delicious. The vegan duck is a recommended choice! Staff was nice and I really liked the interior design. Very fair pricesFood: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Pavel Macek: As an occasional meat-eater, vegan is almost never my 1st or even 2nd choice - in simple way I can cook veggies at home, meat not. However, thanks to a visiting friend I discovered truly amazing place that surprised me with how good can the fake chicken be! The one star down is for the cash only policy which I understand from the perspective of the fees. However, I'd rather had the chance to pay 2 euros more for my meal than have to withdraw for 5... Vegetarian options: As its a vegan restaurant, it doesn't need much explanation...

DAR F: Nice place The back area of the restaurant is a little bit casrophobic, especially in the corona times. It took very long for the food to arrive to our table but they gave us spring rolls on the house so we won't die of hunger. The food was great!

Enisha Eshwar: Food is super tasty and fresh. We had udon noodles with crispy chicken - the salad and vegetables were so nice to eat. Service is great too. Portion sizes are huge for the main plate. I could barely eat half.

Jennifer Winter: Best vegan restaurant that I have been in Berlin. Today we had the fish balls soup and rice noodle mix with vegan duck. Can definitely recommend any dish with the vegan duck, it's the bomb! 👏👏👏

zipo13: Great restaurant. Lots of Asian dishes. Most of the have sietan or tufo included. The saiten duck is highly revomnded. Drinks were also great and made on the spot.

Julia Stefaniak: Really good food and friendly stuff. Big choice of dishes and affordable prices. I can definitely recommend this place.

tigertörtchen - Berlin Cupcakes: what do users think?

milawka nurgalieva: My favorite place ❤I love their cupcakes: they are tasty and not pricey. Coffee is also very nice

Anto K Sebastian: Genius! Turned out be a great experience. Ended up getting there just by seeing the ad outside the shop. Later, it seemed no surprise to me that most of them rate tigertörtchen as the best in business (at least in Berlin).Recommended 🔥

Natalie Ziejka: There was a nice selection to choose from, and tasted good. The man behind the counter was very friendly as well.A bit on the pricy side for mini cupcakes, however.

Irina: A great place, have been here lots of times, either for a coffee and cupcake(s) or for getting cupcake boxes as birthday presents (highly recommended!). Something really special for a person with a sweet tooth 😋Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Nadia R: Delicious and cute-looking cupcakes! Good coffee. Nice, pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff. I’ll come back 🧡

Dhanashree Awadhani: A great variety of cupcakes. Even though tiny but very presentable and pretty. The flavours are also very good and available in amazing combinations. This box of happiness is a must try :) PS- They need special care if ordered online. Best would be to buy personally.

Marco Boerner: The good things: the cupcakes are very tasty and made with a lot of craft. There are regular and quite strange, interesting flavours. Also the iced coffee is actually tasting good there. It's not just cold coffee. The not so great thing: those cupcakes are tiny, as in: "one bite and it's gone" and for this they are quite overpriced. We paid 15,-€ for six (one bite) cupcakes and two coffees. We also caught the guy working there on a bad day it seems. He wasn't the most pleasant person and rather annoyed by serving his customers. Everyone has a bad day sometimes, at least try to be friendly. You're working in a tiny cute cupcake shop, not the Bürgeramt! ; ) A suggestion: Drop the "lunch menu" which is ridicules and maybe offer a tea time or coffee time in the later afternoon. You might actually attract some of the office workers for their afternoon break with colleagues this way.
Response: Hello Marco, Thank you very much for your feedback and your rating. We are happy that you liked our craftsmanship, but if you payed 15€ for the 6 Cupcakes (should be 7,40€ which is 1,23€ per piece in the 6er combo) and two regular coffee... that is way to expensive. If you had two ice latte (0,4l with Ice-Cream, Milk and Espresso) or iced latte (0,4l with Ice-Cubes, Milk and Espressos) you are close to 15€, which is in the decent price range in Berlin. Because of the selected components, our fair payment of the team and the produced variety, we are not able to take less than 1,23€ per Cupcake. We have the same price since 8 Years, even with raised Milk and Butter prices (+50%). We agree, that a bad service can not be accepted, and we expect a professional behavior from all our team members. We know about the specific challenge you are mentioning and assure you, that this will be solved very soon. Like with all the innovations we are testing the „Business Lunch“ for three months. So your feedback is very valuable for us. Hope to see you soon again Stefan & Tigertoertchen Team

Qurratulain: The cupcakes are so cute. They're 1.50 each and quite small but it means you can try out a bunch at once. The staff were also really nice!

Soroush S: The cupcakes were tasty, however low quality coffees, the concept is very good but serving not even medium quality coffees ruins the taste of cup cakes.
Response: Hello Soroush, thank you very much for the review. We are very happy that you liked our cupcakes. The bakery team is working hard, to put all the love and excellent ingredients into the small little treasures. For our coffee we are using our own roasting, which is produced exclusively for us in a local roastery. Usually we get a very good feedback for the coffee products. Unfortunately something must have gone wrong during the coffee making process in your particular case. We would be very happy to invite you to a second coffee and check, if it meets your taste and expectation. Please get in touch with me, so I will arrange everything. Best regards - Stefan

Hale Sasmaz: Lovely place. Lovely törtchen. Great outdoor sitting area. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Must-visit place in Berlin.
