Berlin Wine School: what do users think?

Erçin Coşkun: Positive: Professionalism, QualityI attended WSET Level 2 at Berlin Wine School and really enjoyed both the content (received the material in advance) and quality of the teaching (Pawel is a great teacher and a professional). I recommend this to anyone interested in wine. Looking forward to further classes.

Elizabeth: I attended WSET Level 1 & 2 at Berlin Wine School and really enjoyed both classes. Everything was done professionally (materials sent ahead of time, great teacher, comfortable classroom, etc.) from start to finish, no issues. My courses took place during lockdown and WSET was able to handle the challenge. I highly recommend this school.
Response: Thank you for a kind feedback Elizabeth. We are very happy to have run the classroom courses in spite of the pandemic.

Klára Laudátová: It was one of my best decision to do the WSET 2 course in Berlin! Very well organized and also very well explained with a lot of tasting:)

Lauren Johnson: I took WSET Level 1 here and had a knowledgeable and kind instructor
Response: Thank you for your kind words Lauren

Ida Reihani: Attended WSET Level 1 Award in Wines and loved it. Definitely a must for wine enthusiasts and wanna-be sommeliers.
Response: Thank you for your kind review Ida. Hope to see you soon again.

Dav Burgs: Positive: ProfessionalismI took the remote versions of the WSET Level 1&2 Certificate in Wines and was very pleased by how professional the whole setting was. Very much recommended for everybody who wants to become more knowledgeable in wines.
Response: Many thanks for a kind feedback David.

Helen Turek: I've taken WSET2 & 3 at the Berlin Wine School. I would definitely recommend to take courses here. The size of the classes are small, and the educators are professional, knowledgable and enthusiastic. Great experience!
Response: Thank you for a kind feedback Helen. We look forward to seeing you soon again.

Donata Kozinska: I took the WSET Level 3 course at the Berlin Wine School in December 2020. The course is a challenging exercise but definitely worth the effort if your ambition is to bring your wine knowledge and experience to a higher level. My group consisted of 10 very nice participants. Verena, our instructor, who is a highly experienced and knowledgeable sommelier, was able to share her knowledge in an easy and enjoyable way. So, the tasting of more than 60 wines was not only a hard job, but also a lot of fun. I was also impressed by the professional organization of the course by Pawel, the owner and manager of BWS, before the beginning and during the course week. All learning material, information and reminders were provided on time and all questions answered immediately. All the above made this course a great and enjoyable experience for me and I am looking very much forward to future courses at BWS. I definitely recommend this wine school to all wine enthusiasts.
Response: We are delighted to hear all this kind comments. Many thanks for taking the time to write your feedback. Once again bravo!

Michael Stiel: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI've done my WSET Level 2 & 3 at the BWS. They managed to handle everything very professionally and friendly at the same time. Even despite all the COVID restrictions they stayed afloat and handled it very clearly .Thank you Pawel, thank you BWS
Response: Thank you for a kind feedback Michael, and once again bravo!

Jalscha Meisen: Sake Sommelier course March2019: Excellent course, great location, fantastic tutor. We came away with much improved knowledge and understanding of all aspects of sake - history, production, culture, tasting and food pairing as well as stocking and selling. Much recommended!
Response: Thank you for your kind review Jalscha. Kanpai!

Europäische Sommelier Schule: what do users think?

Diego Vignozzi: Excellent experience! I was very happy, for the notions learned and for the professionalism. Topics treated seriously but without being weighed. I recommend to those who are passionate about wine, to those who want to undertake a professional experience in the world of wine and also for those who see wine as a hobby!

M. Writer: Thank you for my training as a sommelier with you at the European Sommelier School. Small working groups, sometimes very informal, in-depth knowledge is imparted here. Particularly noteworthy is the focus on the right food accompaniments to the wine. Even after all courses have ended, we are still in contact. Highly recommended.

Angelo Lamonaca: excellent school with professionalism and extreme availability. thank you so much

Karla Albérica: Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, Value

NOER Wine & Wine Events: what do users think?

Angela Patrinou: Noer is a nice store and the owners are very friendly. I was at the chocolate and wine tasting event, and although the tastes were interesting, I found the portions extremely small for 35€. Tiny glasses (surprisingly enough, not even wine glasses) and two small chocolate pieces (no refills or extra piece of chocolate granted!). There was no music and it kind of felt like a lecture, since throughout the course of the two hours they were giving us a lot of information, including info about prices and taxes 😱, and other stories, with no break, which was quite exhausting after some point.

Anton Doberschütz: We had a great team event here with amazing wines and very good explanations. Vegan friendly snacks where also provided.

Mariana Michelena: We did yesterday a red wine tasting and loved it! Greate atmosphere and wines. I love that they only work with small family wineries. Surprisingly, one of the best ones from the tasting was german wine! Would absolutely recommend, great fun and good prices

Alexandros Baida: Very nice experience with tasty wines and cheese. Great atmosphere

Anna Mezhova: Very fun wine tastings in English and German, with generous pours and entertaining stories from the owners. Bottles they sell are great value for money - you can get some fantastic wine for 10€. We'll be back for sure!
Response: Thanks for your nice review and we look forward to welcoming you again for a wine tasting!

Marco Scacchi: We had a great wine tasting. The focus was on red wines. The wine selection was wide and interesting, the sequence the bottles have been presented absolutely well done and the atmosphere nice and familiar. We'll definitely come back.

João Correia: Been for a wine tasting pairing with chocolate and the it has been a satisfactory experience. Wine was ok (nothing astonishing or surprisingly diferent); the chocolate was really good (the most positive point of all the night). The venue is nice and the owners are fine and talkative although always trying to sell and giving ideas! I would go there again for the chocolate; for the wine there are plenty of stores with better (and cheaper) wine options.
Response: Thanks for your review. I am glad you liked the chocolate and us and sorry at the same time that the wines were not your cup of tea, ahm, sorry, wine... But its all a personal taste in the end of the day and sometimes we don't satisfy all customers unfortunately...

Séamus Beirne: Nearly all the wines I’ve gotten from here have been really excellent. The value is also really good and the staff friendly and helpful

Haiko Kaczmarek: Amazing night with very good wines to taste. What intrigued me most were the personal stories connected to each bottle. They really brought this night alive!
Response: Thanks for your awesome review!

Caroline Miller: We had wine tasting at Noer as a team event. It was just great, both informative and entertaining and lots of nice wines of course... ;)

Frederik Lanwer: Did two wine tastings and both were amazing. We got a perfect introduction into wine tasting and great insights about the wines itself. Each time We tasted 5 different wines. The selection was great and very diverse. Would definitely recommend it and will go again for sure.

Malika Bencherki: Had a lovely time at Soif's wine tasting event. We got introduced to different french wines, learned about regions and how to properly taste wines. Would recommend for any wine lover looking to get a deeper dive into it.

Pierre-Yves Gac: A very professional sommelier, I have learnt some things despite having worked in a vineyard for 5 years.

Catherine Olm: Kelly is a really wonderful person with lots of knowledge about wine, but also explains very well to people who want to learn something new. Moreover she’s great at making fun events, which means we had really a wonderful time at her tastings and will definitely come back! (The cheese was fantastic as well as the wine!)
Response: Thank you so much for this lovely review! I am so so happy you enjoyed it and looking forward to seeing you at the next event ❤️

irene bertoni: Great experience! Went with my husband for our anniversary and had a great time. Kelly is super nice and makes sure you get a lot of info and made me want to Learn (and taste) a lot more! The whole group was super fun and the wine selection interesting and delicious, totally recommended! :)
Response: Thank you so much for your review I am so happy you had a good time and honored you decided to celebrate your anniversary with me ❤️ hope to see you again at another sip show 🥂

Mary Manabat Barker: What a lovely wine tasting experience in the park!!! We tasted various rosés from Italy, France, Spain. I learned so much — the selected wines were really great for comparing different grapes and styles. Kelly also prepared a gorgeous cheese platter to go with the wines. Everything was beautifully done and I hope to do another wine tasting with Kelly again soon!
Response: Thank you so much for the kind review Mary! So glad you enjoyed it looking forward to seeing you at the next one!

Taya Reznichenko: Really enjoyed Kelly's wine-tasting: fun, informative but chill, was a very nice group of people. Great wines and cheeses too! Would definitely come again

Anne Christopher Britt: Kelly did a great job explaining the different wines and what they pair nicely with. I would definitely recommend her for your next wine tasting event.

Bonnie Biggs: We have been to lots of wine tastings! This was so special! Kelly makes sure you have an amazing time and you learn so much! Try it ! It’s wonderful ❤️❤️

John O'Dell: We had a wine tasting. It was such a wonderful experience. She was definitely a great host and was very knowledgeable about the different wines and the food pairings.
Response: Thank you so much for your kind review John! I am so happy y'all joined and had a good time!

Priscilla Pope: Awesome activity for any group! Kelly makes learning about wine fun… not snobby!

Jeandre Botha: Aside from the delicious and varied wine selection, Kelly was a brilliant, welcoming, and professional host. She is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate and succeeded in creating an evening that was genuinely informative, relaxed, and most of all fun. The Intro to German wine tasting is highly recommended for anyone (the experienced wine drinker or like me a beginner), who wants to explore and learn German wines while meeting new people in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
Response: 🙏 this warms my heart to read. I'm so happy all of these things came across in the tasting. Really appreciate your review and recomendation!

Oguz Arikan: We had such a lovely evening with Kelly. It was well planned wine tasting together which was really helpful for me to understand the basics and why I enjoy certain wines or not. On top of our learning about wine-tasting, it was so much fun to spend the evening with Kelly. Strongly recommended.
Response: Thank you so much for the kind review Oguz! I am so happy to hear you had a good evening and we're able to take away some learnings for your day to day wine drinking! Hope to see y'all again soon 🥂

Weinschule-Berlin Weinlust GmbH: what do users think?

Zsolt Csaki: Been here once with colleagues, booked the whole place! Really nice staff, great food. They have a great selection of vine and schnapps and there is vine tasting.
Response: Thank you!!

Sina Kurz: In Charlottenburg, in an original old house from the 17th century is the wine school. In the beautiful ambience you can learn everything about the topic of wine from the sympathetic owner. The trained chef and sommelier explains in a sympathetic way very competent the history of viticulture up to the quality and taste. Anyone who wants to learn something as a wine drinker is in good hands here. Various wines are served and rated. Depending on the interest, a seminar can be booked. Here it is advisable to travel by public transport. Parking is available for a fee if you are lucky. If you like the recession or have helped, then I look forward to a LIKE your Sina
Response: Many Thanks!!

Andreas Hoffmann: Yesterday my wife and I were guests at the Berlin Wine School for the second time. Before Corona we attended the “Diversity Basic Seminar”, yesterday the evening's motto was “Food and Wine”. The single-storey building on Wilmersdorfer Strasse, which dates back to the 18th century and has been lovingly preserved as a monument, stands out in the midst of the surrounding 4- and 5-storey buildings and offers a beautiful and suitable setting for the special that was offered to us here. The owner, Mr. Moser, comes from Austria and has gained a lot of knowledge and experience from the world of food (he is a trained chef) and the world of wines (also a trained sommelier). He provided us with background knowledge in a friendly manner, served elaborate and delicious dishes that were prepared in-house with carefully selected ingredients, perfectly matched to the wines served. He was supported by his team, who served us very pleasantly. You can tell from many "little things" that Mr. Moser is here with heart and soul in the matter. Even the dishes and glasses are carefully and appropriately selected. In addition to the experience, you can take interesting wine recommendations home with you. The recipes will be passed on by email on request. With 2G plus we were able to feel carefree yesterday evening and at this location we could forego discussions with “saviors of democracy” and owners of other “secret background knowledge” and concentrate entirely on the essentials. For the second time we have had a really outstanding evening at the wine school. If you like to drink wine, enjoy good, extraordinary food and want to enjoy a really special evening, then we can warmly recommend you to book with Mr. Moser. We will definitely come back and thank Mr. Moser and his team warmly for setting up a lighthouse for great hospitality here in Berlin. Please come through the pandemic healthy and economically largely unscathed.
Response: Thanks so much! We were very happy about your praise! Greetings from the wine school!

Mona Selig: Yesterday we went to the second seminar at the wine school and we are thrilled ... Bernhard Moser is not only a great host but also communicates and explains the world of wines in such a way that it is great fun to listen to him. On top of that, he's a fantastic cook - the tasting menu was really great and broadened our taste horizons! Great! 👍 Update from October 2nd, 2020: Mr. Moser still manages to impress his guests with his in-depth knowledge and presents exciting and surprising wines. It is always a celebration to spend an evening at the wine school - whether it is a regional seminar or a tasting evening, it is worth it. Thanks to the host. 😷
Response: Wow thank you very much!! bm

Benita Langecker: A great team that knows how to entertain its guests in a friendly manner. Very insightful stories about wine and cheese that are explained in an interesting way. I learned a lot today. The atmosphere is cozy and everything has been done to prevent the spread of viruses. It's a shame that it still has to be closed in November.

Janina K.: Brazen customer service that refuses to honor return claims. I can only advise against booking a seminar here. We booked the course months ago and due to the pandemic it will not take place now. The wine school refuses, for legally inaccurate and flimsy reasons, to reimburse us for our money. Nothing works here without a lawyer. (I am a lawyer myself and the legal opinion of the wine school is definitely incorrect. This is not about a sales contract for a voucher, but the conclusion of a service contract.) In addition, one should be fobbed off with a regular seminar date lying months in the future. So there is not even a real catch-up date offered. Too bad. I was really looking forward to the seminar and would have been willing to accept a catch-up date out of goodwill. But not if you lie boldly about the legal situation and sit on money that you are not entitled to.
Response: Good day! Vouchers and bookings are valid indefinitely (!) With us. If we have to postpone evenings due to the pandemic, we will not refund the money. In our opinion, this corresponds to valid law. We don't have to "lie boldly", as you put it. I really do hope that you can “look forward to the evening” again and that we can spend a nice evening at the Berlin Wine School after this pandemic that really threatens our existence. For us, the permanent postponement of appointments is no fun either and we would love to be able to hold wine seminars again. Sincerely, Bernhard Moser

Jan Yx: Excellent wine courses. Easy to understand and personable. You can tell that he understands the craft of wine and food. Basic courses and tasting evenings are offered. Gladly again.
Response: Thanks very much! 🙏

Leon Tietz: Very nice, fun and a great atmosphere. Addendum: yesterday there was the second time for the cheese seminar. Still 5 stars.
Response: Thank you very much!!

Peter W. Krueger: Yes, that's difficult, I haven't been to the wine school yet, I just wanted to bring something about the oldest houses in Charlottenburg. And that includes this building. A dreamlike ensemble where you can see exactly the different construction phases. The increase in building height and building styles. It is definitely worth taking a walk in this neighborhood. Many of the old houses wanted to be torn down by the Berlin Senate. They stood in the way of the SPD's obsession with progress. Some of the houses were thankfully preserved. And if you've gotten your feet sore, you can go straight to the kitty opposite for a coffee.

Simon Neuroth: Unreservedly recommended! Wit, expertise and great wine.
Response: Thank you very much! 🙏

Response: Thank you very much Nick 🙌😃

J. G.: I had the pleasure to attend the opening event and I could already notice how much dedication, care and enthusiasm has been put by the owner to make this original idea happen. A cosy atmosphere in a top location to enjoy wine shopping in a new different way: let's find which one is your wine and give it a try. Highly recommended!

Torsten Kämmerer: Extremely nice wine store! Cosy interior, wide selection of wines and most importantly: super friendly owner who knows EVERYTHING about wines and will help you to choose the wine best suited to your taste, no matter if you are a wine connoisseur or a total rookie. :) Highly recommended!

Angine Khashaki: Cute place with very good wines and Sympathetic owner :) we tried 4 types of different wines both red and white and the owner advised us on the wines which we might like based on our taste preferences! We got a bottle of Nero d'Avola!

Jai Kumar: Nice store, cozy interior. She was very helpful with the suggestions and also responded quickly in chat as well

Amogh meshram: Amazing quality of wines and a great person who sells it.

Pascal Oftring: Perfect Wine Match

LocalOne Online Marketing neue Kunden zu gewinnen: Best wine tasting I've ever done. The selection of white wines, rosé wines and even full-bodied red wines from all wine-growing regions are available there. The ambience is very modern, the best place is at the small bar-like counter in the middle of the sales room. Anytime gladly again.
Response: Thank you very much 😍🙌😃🍷

Sonja Weingraber: Very nice modern wine bar. We got to know the bar during a wine tasting and will definitely come back again!
Response: Many thanks Sonja - see you next time 😉

Planet Wein - Weinhandel am Gendarmenmarkt: what do users think?

Simon Mitton: We found Planet Wein by accident on a Friday afternoon. We went in just to have a look, and stayed for two hours! The staff were amazing, attentive and presented us with a choice of excellent wines. We had two bottles which were both excellent. It was such a great experience we went back the following day and spent another two hours enjoying two more excellent wines that we would never have discovered without their expert help. If we’re ever back in Berlin we’ll make this a destination stop. If you’re visiting Berlin and enjoy wine, you must visit!
Response: Dear Simon, thank you for your visit and all the good time you spent in our planet wine. It was our pleasure to have you as our guest. So grateful and friendly and interested in German wines. Thank you very much for this 5 stars.

Ivan Firic: After 50 odd amazing recommendations, I don't know what to praise more, the wine selection or the staff. Everybody speaks fluent English, they're super friendly and knowledgeable. The place is open late and regularly holds tastings and brunch type events. I can't think of what more to look for in a wine store.
Response: Dear Ivan, Thank you for your genuine feedback. Every criticism is important and valuable to us. We work on ourselves every day and thank you very much for your loyalty. Anja Schroeder & team

Nikita Chernyshov: Massive gratefulness to this place and especially Piero and Poul as they opened the door to wine world for me during lockdown and keep broadening my experience every week! This place is more than a usual wine shop, as you always find friendly atmosphere, experienced people who will guide you through different wines, educate you and help to find the wine that suit you best. Usually passing by Planet Wein I used to take a sit and enjoy several glasses while having a chat with friend or just observing the area. It's one of my favorite spots in the area and I would definitely recommend it to everyone besides your knowledge in wine industry. Be proactive, ask questions and learn the beauty of wine! PS. I've added some pictures of wines i've bought here.
Response: Many thanks for our visit. See you soon hopefully !!!

Alexander G.: Lovely wine shop, great selection of wines and very kind service. Thanks for the Friedrichstraße case, the residents appreciate the contribution and the result lots and thank you for your action.
Response: Many thanks for 5 stars ... see you soon

Davie C: If you want to experience Berlin's best, this isn't it.They're pretentious and arrogant, and charge more for it.
Response: Dear Davie C, it's a pity that you don't get a personal impression of my company, which has been working with ecological, biodynamic wineries and small manufacturers for 17 years. They are guided by ideologies to give a bad rating without dialogue. Too bad you only want to think 500m far, because we residents demand a traffic and tourism concept for the entire historic center and not just 500m bike path. Kind regards, your Anja Schröder

J J: The wine store was very dirty and the staff was not very helpful. The selection was not very good either.
Response: Dear, dear J J, it's a pity that you don't get a personal picture of my company, which has been working with ecological, biodynamic wineries and small manufacturers for 17 years. They are guided by ideologies to give a bad rating without dialogue. Too bad you only want to think 500m far, because we residents demand a traffic and tourism concept for the entire historic center and not just 500m bike path. Kind regards, your Anja Schröder

Dubovik Sergey: Absolutely lovely small wine store / wine bar in Berlin. Besides decent wine by glass selection, they offer some food as well. Well worth the visit
Response: Many thanks !

Eliot Beriault: Expensive compared to other wine shops selling the same products. Plus the service was arrogant and unhelpful.
Response: Dear Eliot Beriault, it's a pity that you don't get a personal impression of my company, which has been working with ecological, biodynamic wineries and small manufacturers for 17 years. They are guided by ideologies to give a bad rating without dialogue. Too bad you only want to think 500m far, because we residents demand a traffic and tourism concept for the entire historic center and not just 500m bike path. Kind regards, your Anja Schröder

Beáta Tóthová: We stumbled upon this place tired and hungry and it proved to be the best coincidence of the day. The personnel was very attentative and kind. The food they offered was just great, all made in germany from small producers. Needless to say that the couple of wines we tried were just amazing. It was a very cute place, with good music and a real gem in Berlin.
Response: Thank you for your rating and the great feedback. We loved being your hosts. Kind regards, Anja Schroeder

Tobias Freudenberg: Absolutely awesome! Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable personnel. We've sat there with a glass of champagne and were able to listen to a couple conversations with customers. They're not bound on selling you the most expensive bottle, but try to find the right fit within your budget. It would be wonderful to have a place like that closer to home.
Response: Thank you very much Mr. Freudenberg for rating us here and thank you again for the extremely positive feedback by email. See you soon at Planet Wein

Wine Material: what do users think?

T B: Stumbled across this wonderful bar last night. Carlos' love of Spanish wines and enthusiasm shines through in his hospitality and kind nature. The wine selection is interesting, fresh, urgent with excellent prices. I regret not nibbling some tapas but I needed a bigger meal to prepare me for the night ahead, so I hope to return and try the food.
Response: Thanks so much - wonderful feedback . Hope to see you again.

Kevin Rodriguez: Spanish wines are underrated and this place has the most interesting wines around. Carlos and the staff are super nice and welcoming. And a tapa with every glass of wine. So easy to come back any day for a quick one. Thanks Wine Material, see you again soon!

Lyon Roque: We were there for a special Saturday evening when they had a dj. Great music and really good atmosphere. We ended up buying a total of four bottles of wine, all if which were wonderful. It’s just a shame that we got only 1 plate of tapas the whole evening while the group in front of us were served several times with multiple portions. We ended up getting pizzas from around the corner as we were a bit hungry and wanted to keep trying more wines. It wasn’t clear whether we should have ordered them? It’s a shame. It had the potential of being a perfect evening and for us to become regular customers. Oh well.
Response: Hallo Lyon, thanks for your comments regarding the music, wines and atmosphere. Yes, it was fantastic evening. So sorry of having read your comments regarding tapas. Of course we were serving many tapas plates when people ordered. But if you didn't ordered ...how could we serve tapas to you? We will be happy to continue sharing our wine, tapas and energy any time you wish. Have a wonderful day.

Ad! d: One of the best tasting experiences I have had. It’s a cozy place with excellent wine and food selection.
Response: Thanks so much - Very glad you appreciated our tasting. The only thing we can add is looking forward to seeing you next time. Thanks again

Courtney Allis: Fab place with an amazing selection of natural wine - I haven’t seen this selection anywhere else in Berlin. Owner was lovely and very welcoming! Go there and enjoy the finest wine!
Response: Thanks a lot Courtney. it was a great pleasure having you on Saturday with your good vibes. You made the atmosphere great

Mihaela Sacara: Great wine tasting experience, very special wines and cool knowledgeable owner!
Response: Thanks Mihaela. So pleased you enjoyed our wines. Having customers like you ands your friends is the main reason to have so fun when we work. Looking forward to meeting you next time

Elizabeth Davies: What a wonderful world of natural wine you enter at Wine Material. Carlos is a treasure, and you can learn so much from him. Bonus is the tapas are also great!
Response: Thanks a lot Beth - having customers and friends like you is one of the reasons why we believe this is not a job. This is an honour. The other reason are the producers which whom we work. The other side os such a wonderful universe

Nicole Shelton: Was a fabulous shop. The man working at the time gave us a variety of recommendations ranging from classic wines to unique ones. ALSO very very reasonably priced. Visit this store!!
Response: Thanks so much for your nice review. We try to provide different tips covering the full spectrum of wine and trying to understand your likes. Looking forward to seeing you next time.

Jack Lancaster: Really incredible service and quality of wine. While the pours are maybe smaller as other reviewers mentioned than other wine bars in the area, the quality of the selection and service as well as the tapas justifies the price in my opinion.
Response: Thanks Jack - Super nice to have you with us. Looking forward to the next time.

Sarah D'haen: Nice wine and host but prices are totally out of proportion. We paid the price of an entire bottle for just 2 glasses of less than 0.1dl… I am quite shocked to be honest…
Response: Sarah, so sorry for you being shocked. Maybe I have should explain before. I realized you were not familiar with Natural Wine and I should have explained that this was a wonderful Grenache froM Catalunya where only 400 bottles of wine have been produced. 18 € for 2 glasses and a tapa of Pata Negra Ham (small, but with the same quality and sustainability standards) can seem a lot but we tried to treat our producers very careful and the same with our customers and this wine was very very special. Anyway, So sorry that we didn't explained or prevent in advance.

Brad's Wine Subscription: what do users think?

Fraser Grant: An exceptional offer, whose value seems almost too good to be true. We receive six bottles of red in our subscription, together with tasting notes, great recipes and an additional treat. Every month we look forward to what will arrive and where our palate will travel to next. We have also found it to be a great gift for friends on their birthdays. On the rare occasion I've reached out for support, Brad and the team respond immediately and always come with the perfect solution. Cannot recommend enough.

Elizabeth Platt: Excellent service & superb boutique wine that you wouldn’t find easily yourself. Pairing notes, Brad’s recipes & a free thoughtful gift like Chile No 5 & Love Gin is just why it’s the best subscription I’ve come across internationally. I’ve given as gifts too and people have been very pleased & grateful. Can’t afford not to subscribe.

Linda Swanson: High quality wines accompanied by excellent tasting notes and usually a surprise gift. Brad is extremely professional and customer service is first class. Highly recommended.

Francisco Javier Juárez Piqueras: A really good wine selection every month delivered directly to your doorstep. We started with 6 bottles and after just 2 months we decided to upgrade to 12!

Nathanael Selman: An excellent variety of wines at a very reasonable price.

Weinerei Forum Weinbar: what do users think?

Dan: This place has been on my list for years but sadly it didn't live up to expectations. It used to be a 'pay what you like' setup, which was abandoned during corona lockdowns, but the prices are still reasonable for good wine. Unfortunately, the service was poor. We initially had to wait 5 minutes to be served (it's self-service, so we were stood in line at this point) as someone was trying a number of different wines. This isn't an issue, but the set up doesn't really allow for this approach to work effectively. When we then reached the front of the line, we asked for two glasses of the wine of the week. Despite it being 17:40 on a Tuesday, we were told they were sold out (not an issue, per se, just a little bizarre!). The server then proceeded to walk off and clean the board so the wine of the week was no longer showing, then she washed the rag she cleaned the board with and then she moved the tea bags that were on the counter and replaced them with bottles of wine. This took over 2 minutes, all the while we were standing, waiting. She came back (by which time 5 other people had joined the queue behind us) and said 'did you want anything?' We bought two other glasses (7 EUR a glass, 0.2l), and the wine was lovely, but there's plenty of wine bars in the area with table service with equally good wine.
Response: Thank you Dan, we will try to do it better.

Florian Heiwig: Sweet little wine bar with a selection of appetizers and food. A nice place for a summer night or afternoon in the sun with a nice wine and good talks. Especially the crowd and atmosphere is nice and the bar keepers are very friendly.
Response: Thanks 🙏

Noukka Signe: Such a lovely place with a great vibe, nice wines and sweet service :) we were doing a jigsaw puzzle and they spontaneously moved the lamp closer to us. The glass of wine you get is a very full glass, and their recommendations are spot on.
Response: Thank you ☀️🍀🍇

Gian Luigi Bertoncini: Wine offer not great but the location and context are nice.Service could also be a little quicker :)The outside is definitely nicer
Response: Thanks

Stefan Radovanovic: Really nice place for wine lovers. Always full of people and with good and vibrant atmosphere. Make sure you try Grauburgunder!
Response: Thank you ☀️

Francesco Bommartini: Nice bar, Only wine.
Response: thanks

Eva: Nice bar, service is good but come early because seats are limited! I can recommend the Haus Spritz

Dziana: Before covid this place was my favorite wine bar in town, I was coming here every time I’m in Berlin. Now I was terribly disappointed: either the concept had changed, or the owner, but nothing remained of the former sophistication. This place used to be about WINE, now there are cocktails, desserts, coffee and a ridiculous mannequin standing in the corner. Now there’s a feeling that the place is surviving, so everything is being done to raise the average check of the order. It's sad, the uniqueness of the place is lost :(

Paula Montaldi: I had already been there for their wine nights where you pay what you think your consumption was worth which are very nice. This time I went for breakfast and I was surprised in a good way: coffee is pretty decent and they have amazing cakes and quiches.
Response: Thanks 🙏

Anne R: Lovely vibe, amazing soup, cheap prices. Really liked the atmosphere!!Had the pumpkin lentil soup (only €3,50!). Only downside could be the self service, since it takes a bit longer to order.

Tobias: Nice selection of natural wines with lovely staff that is always at your service with recommendations.

Conrad Noack: Large selection of quality wines. And prices range from ready-to-drink to pretty-nice-present

Sebastian Drejer: Excelent service and very knowledgeable about natural wines!
Response: Thank you very much Sebastian! We love natural wines!

Zbyszek Gawron: Excellent knowledge of wine paired with down to earth patient advice and insight. Great experience highly recommend - you will not regret it. Vielen Dank!
Response: Thank you very much Zdbyszek!

Luisa xy: Love this place! Great selection of naturals and orange wines. Service is excellent! They really take a lot of time to select the wines that they take in. Also check out their place in Markthalle 9.
Response: Thank you Luisa - Natural wines are our passion and we love be there for you ❤️

Matas Petrikas: Amazing wine selection, exactly how you would imagine a wine shop in Kreuzberg. Gritty, loud, down-to-earth, they are kind of punks of wine for me. I love their organic German wines, also quite a selection of natural and 'orange' wine. My tip - ask for the Trossen Riesling. Suff shop has an exclusive in Berlin, it's normally found in Noma in Copenhagen!

Saeed Sobati: Friendly and helpful staff!

Alice: Good advice and great variety of choices!

Ivy Ho: Staff is very nice yet precessional!

Michael Schnitzbauer (SirSchnitzelot): Good place to buy wine with nice people. Support your locals and the SO36.
Response: Thank you Michael - you‘ll never walk alone! #supportyourlocals

Delicious Berlin: what do users think?

Paul Seagrove: A bit more than an "off licence"! Best cigar shop in Berlin. If you're coming from out of town with a big order, email them a couple of weeks before you visit to make sure they have what you want and it will be ready when you arrive.

Bogdan G. Muntean: Very nice, mainly liquor, store in Berlin - Wilmersdorf. Great variety of high quality products. The two owners, Sebastian and Martin, are extremely friendly and helpful. We did a wine and cheese tasting: interesting and tasty combinations and a lot of informations about these. Lovely atmosphere.

Steve Black: Excellent cigar shop. Very friendly staff who allow you to browse without constantly watching and pestering. Decent amount of stock too...pretty much the full Habanos range. Will visit again

Gonzo Wrenn: Just stopped in here to look for some bourbon and they had a decent selection. They had all the international Blanton’s and a few other hard to get ones. The employee (the owner I assume) was really friendly, spoke decent English, knew his stuff when it came to spirits, and was nice enough to let my wife use the restroom before knowing I was going to buy anything. The shop has a decent humidor for cigars and allow you to smoke in the shop. However, you get no smell from it when you walk in. What really impressed me (and pissed me off) was the day prior we went into Ka-De-Wa and I bought two bottles of Blanton’s (SFTB and Special Reserve), delicious-berlin was 7-10€ cheaper on every bottle I seen. I could have kicked my own ass lol

Sandra Karner: We had a Gin Tasting tonight. There were about 30 people packed in one tiny little room. They told us that there were some problems with the registration and that there are 2 groups now... This led to a very uncomfortable tasting. You could not hear what The Gin guru said, there was not enough bread and water and it really took long. There was no word on refund possibilities or a little courtesy. Besides that the gin shop is nice and well sorted with gins from all around the world. But still... 50 bugs is by far to much for what we got tonight,

Tessa Gerlach: Amazing in-store experience with a fantastic offering (especially gin category!!) and a very knowledgable and incredibly friendly team.Highly recommended!

Fred G: Excellent selection of spirits. I got the Illusionist gin (changes colour when tonic gets added) and the barrel-aged Elephant gin. Ask the staff for suggestions!

Jay Ruether: We had an amazing rum & chocolate tasting evening! The whole event was simply great and we had a wonderful evening. Great host with lots of experience and fun

Robin Gerlach: Great selection, great service and in particular the gin tasting was one of the best we had

Nigel Whitfield: Excellent range of spirits and also of cigars - plus really friendly, knowledgeable and not at all snobbish. Which is rare in a cigar shop

Cantine St. Ambroeus: what do users think?

Carlo Bongiovanni: A small place that I randomly found while walking through the city. It's recommended to book a table before coming here, it's quite small. The service makes the winebar extremely enjoyable. It's really worth coming here.
Response: Thanks! Thank you!

Jennifer Barteloni: The best place in Berlin to buy and taste wine with a selection of fine Italian cured meats and cheese. Marco is an extremely passionate and competent sommelier and all his recommendations are gold. Extremely recommended.
Response: Thanks!

Elisabeth Charlotte: First time there. Small but cosy wine shop serves with nice cheese and bread. Recommend for a short visit, enjoy a glass of wine and get a bottle home.

Maria Izycka: A place with soul and the heart. All the wines i have tried so far (around 20) were delicious. Just give one tip and you will get exactly what you expected. Thank you, this is the kind of place I was waiting for in Berlin. See You soon ❤️
Response: Thanks!

Tobias: Best italian wine selection in Berlin. The owner has great knowledge and is a super lovely person, I strongly recommend this place.
Response: Thanks! Thank you!

Andrea Cesaretti: If you're looking for high quality italian wines this is the best place in Berlin. Marco makes a careful wine selection, with particular attention to small Italian companies whose production takes place with traditional methods (mainly organic farming, sometimes biodynamic), supporting nature and limiting, if not excluding, the presence of chemicals. My best recommendations to take a look at this wine store.
Response: Thanks!

Federico Parise: Best place for natural wines in town, with a HUGE selections! Marco, the owner, is really passionate and professional but also humble and keen to help you get the wine that suits better your taste.Recommend big time.
Response: Thanks!

Kent Wang: Great natural wines. Nice outdoor seats.
Response: Thanks! Thank you!

Duna Irshaid: Lovely place. The owner, Marco is a really great and hospitable guy and the place has a superb selection of natural wines.
Response: Thanks! Thanks, it was a pleasure

Jen Hawes-Hewitt: What an incredible find!! My husband and I visited this intimate wine bar last February and were greeted with a relaxed warm welcome, delicious Italian wines and top notch charcuterie. The owner could not have been more accommodating! We went back the next day we enjoyed it so much!
Response: Thanks! Thank you Marco
