Boxing gym at Berlin Friedrichshain: what do users think?

Abed Hammoud: So far I had nothing but a great experience here. The coaches are firm but friendly and the people who attend are cool and helpful. Totally recommend!

Boxstudio-Berlin-Friedrichshain: Some thoughts from the owner of the gym: I do feel the need to comment on some of the reviews that were left here recently, which I usually don’t do since this portal is meant to be a space where people can leave their opinions about our gym, whether positive or negative if they have an issue they want to raise attention to. In any respect, it gives me feedback to enjoy or to improve and I appreciate it. Over the last 8 years, I have built a gym where people love to train, where they meet friends, found a home or simply enjoy boxing as the very honest sport it is. I have invested a lot of my time in this gym and I also have to live up to a lot of monetary obligations to keep the gym running - paying a rent in Friedrichshain and paying my trainers well so that they can live by the great job they are doing. On the other hand, all this of course is supported by all our members who contribute their share by paying their monthly membership fees or acquiring 10erKarten. We have a very fair 6 months contract that extends by another 6 months if not cancelled during the first three months. This is explained to everyone signing up whether in German or English. I trust that some of you people who left these unreasonable reviews here will grow to understand that we need to insist on you fulfilling your obligations since other members otherwise practically pay for you. You have to know that the rules are for everyone the same. Therefore I cannot and will not let anyone get away with using all the benefits of the gym and not paying his/her share. This policy is in the interest of everyone who want us to continue with our work. Reflect on your attitude since this behavior is what damages small providers like us in the long run but… maybe you just don’t care. But let me say this to you: we all play and box by the same rules – there will be no exceptions. thank you Stephan

Maya Naya: I have been a member at Boxstudio Berlin Friedrichshain for more than 2 years now and I love to train there! It is a gym with a very friendly atmosphere where I have met many new friends. The trainers were succesful boxers during their careers and they enjoy what they are doing. I have to say that some of the comments here make no sense to me. As an english speaker I never had any problems with my contract... well I do pay my fees regularly ...so I guess here we are. The short contract (6 months) was explained to me before signing. I have no complaints. People there are all very helpful and nice. I highly recommend this place.

Ibrahim Baydoun: They wrote me an e-mail telling me it costs 37 euros per month and 15 euros first course before I start. The first course was a very normal session that I paid 15 euros for, and the 37 euros monthly are for only 1 visit per week and with a 6 month contract. Otherwise you have to pay around 125 euros for 10 visits. And for contracts with more than one time per week the price goes up to 60 and 79 euros per month. It is disappointing that they are very misleading with the information they provided. But I have to mention that the training was nice, I enjoyed it and I felt it was very effective. The coach is good and also the colleagues are very nice and helpful.

Stephan Range: The place looks nice enough, just feel ripped off! On the phone I have been invited to just come along, join a training session and see what the place is like. Only on arrival I was told about the 15€ "taster-sesion-charge". Feeling completely overcharged (as the place was empty anyhow!) I offered a fiver, which was laughed of by the trainer.

Personal Boxtraining Berlin: what do users think?

Hummel Berlin: A few weeks ago I came here for the first time because I wanted to test if boxing was a sport for me. I was very excited but Mike explained everything really well. I (f) look forward to my training session every week. Mike observes closely and corrects mistakes. The training is strenuous, but very varied and I really enjoy it. Exactly how I imagined personal training. The training is not only good for me physically, but also mentally. I can absolutely recommend the training here. Shower is available and super clean, parking lot right in front of the door.

André Laudan: In October 21 I decided to have individual training with Mike. I have found the right, supplementary training pillar for me. Mike is a coach who is always in a good mood, who challenges and encourages and is always looking for new limits.

Paula Wollermann: Super training at a fair price! The studio is well equipped and always clean. You can park for free. Shower, towels and water are available, equipment is available there. Mike is a great trainer with a great presence, always in a good mood and motivating. He matches the training perfectly to me and my requirements. I notice progress from training to training, physically and mentally. Here I always reach my limits and afterwards I go home pumped with endorphins. Even if you are not fit, dare here, Mike brings you there (;

E1 Boxing Gym Berlin: what do users think?

Stephan Heller: Best boxing gym in Germany. I live in Munich and nothing compares to E1 and Georges box training. I have to travel to Berlin a lot for work and I make sure I do at least one training here. Brought my girlfriend last time. It’s also great for women. Always mixed groups and modern training. All about skill and having fun. Not about beating each other up but becoming a really skilled boxer. I highly recommend it.

Max Bogan: Best Boxing gym in the town 🥊.Excellent coaches and very professional boxing training. The boxing bags are insane and the gym is well designed 👌

Emma Wood: This gym is an absolute gem - I feel very lucky to have found a place that is so welcoming and supportive. Especially as a beginner, I appreciate how well the coaches manage to be both encouraging and challenging, and I leave each session exhausted but looking forward to the next :)

Léonie Lavaert: Amazing boxing gym! George, the other coaches, the energy of all the members and the fun trainings make it so hard to miss a workout. Very addictive!

Blawan: Before I found e1 I could never pull my self to go to the gym and get motivated to get fit. I’ve been training with George at e1 for less than I year now and this guy has changed my life, finally found a place and sport that motivates me and feeling the immediate benefits! This guy is legit the nicest dude and pushes me to my limit every time ! Sounds corny but I really can’t thank you enough guys much love xxx

Castantin Rak: This boxing gym is the best in the city, great team members. Since the first day I joined I felt great in there and the Coachs are Supporting each member paying attention and helping us, it feels like a one family atmosphere. I like the style in there best equipment great quality, showers and changing room are design carefully to makes you feel that you really did a good Choice to step in this gym. Extra plus the Multi culture atmosphere, the owner is so cool he believes in achievement and making the impossible :) so is the boxer spirit right. This boxing gym has a successful story behind I respect. 100% it is

Caroline Schweitzer: The best boxing gym in Berlin! I go a few times a week and I love it every time! It’s so much fun and having started boxing was the best decision ever! The owner is also the best coach ever he is so passionate about boxing and teaching it to other people. I seriously recommend going to this gym if you would like to start or continue boxing! The vibe in this gym is unreal!!

Claudia Emde: Best boxing gym in Berlin! Had a fabulous training. Best equipment and trainers.

Fenriz Gym: what do users think?

LW1: I am a BJJ white belt from Australia who dropped in for a roll while in Berlin for a short time. Ended up going to some night classes (back to back). Staff were easy to talk to and welcoming. I felt very safe and comfortable. Coaches were easy to understand and gave great advice. Gym is clean and change rooms are good! Classes were in English and rolls were solid! 🤙🏼My classes were with Peter and Felipe and I was welcomed to the club by Robert and Michelle (excellent service!). Thanks for the warm welcome and happy rolling 🙌

Cameron McLean: Needed a trainer for my 3-week trip to Berlin to keep up my motivation as a near total beginner. Felipe provided me with outstanding personalised instruction over 8 or 9 sessions, which he linked to group classes. This was a huge learning step for me - cannot recommend Felipe highly enough.

Camila Wahrendorff: The gym is very well organized, the teachers are great and they all speak English. If it only had a Fan so we don’t suffer too much in summer it would be perfect!

Sangram Gupta: Good place for everything, MuayThai, Boxing, Wrestling, JuiJitsu and MMA. Nice staff and coaches accompanied with usually good crowd. Hygienic gym. Sometimes the owner is rude specially on the slippers if you forget, but he is so to everyone. People feel bad about it but well atleast he is not partial there.

Andrew Howden: There is a Muay Thai gym about 100m from my house. I do not go there — Instead, I cycle to Fenriz! It is near the best gym I tried — maybe on a median, the best.

Box Studio Berlin: what do users think?

Jay Tea: A little too Corona-friendly.. you need to get a test each time you go there 🤯💥🔫

Fabian Benz: Top Studios. Everything you need. punching bags. Squat rack, weight bench and above all trainers and the knowledge of being able to listen.

ay Lin: UPDATE 2021: no longer like it used to be, not recommended 👋 Caution: 💥 In the Corona period, money is still deducted even if the gym is closed. The notice period is too long and it is difficult to get out of the contract. ——————————————- I became aware of the boxing studio through the internet, as Spichernstrasse is also very central. You were instructed about the courses and rules and then you were allowed to "get a taste" for 5 days approx. The studio has lots of weights and a couple of punching bags. Unfortunately no showers and dirty changing rooms 😵‍💫. It is enough to get a little fit for little money.

Oskar Holzmann: Boxing club with a long tradition and a lot of passion! If you keep coming you get really fit and learn to use the boxing techniques correctly. The course for beginners is always on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. If you still understand very little about boxing, you should definitely attend the course! Otherwise almost every day 5 p.m., 10 euros a month, what more could you ask for...

Adrian Krueger: Here there is boxing for every level: from popular sports to training for the World Cup fight. Experienced trainers, really good training concepts. No "go-it-and-you-boxer training". We recommend.

Michelle Cel: This club is incredibly familiar and if you want to stay fit absolutely perfect!: ))

Muray Ayba: A career as a boxer takes place above all in character. If you want to aim high, you should first and foremost bring noble motives with you, otherwise you will be taught one lesson after the other and quickly lose your talent in this discipline. But as the saying goes, "Better a lesson in the club of lessons than a lesson in a closed prison"

CBC Berlin: Here you can learn boxing & chess and get to know good people. Make friends and be there for each other :)

Joel Thompson: Member here for 2 years, I always feel welcome and have a great workout too. Excellent facilities and has old skool cred!!

Bára Jumrová: To the point, old school, proper and normal boxing classes and gym. No matter what level of experience, you feel welcome and have a great time! Signing up next week

Diego Maldonado Rosas: Honest and real boxing club. Friendly staff and open to all levels of involvement in the sport.

Taulant Halili: Great! Very motivating

Ina Cantow: Anyone who expects the usual fitness center is definitely wrong here. The power range is large and extensive and offers everything that is needed for training. Various boxing courses are offered and of course there is sparring and octagon. The atmosphere is cool and relaxed. The hygiene measures under Corona are observed. I can only recommend the Boxtempel.

Jim K.: The training is good and the price is unbeatable. Unfortunately, no goodwill is to be expected, which I think is a shame. Bitter aftertaste.

Kurdo Berlino: Stinks unclean Box sacks from 1750 Unfriendly and should finally be renovated after 1000000 years also looks like a hospital from the outside

Raik Nauendorff: Was with my daughter for trial training "kickboxing". The training was challenging and it was fun. The trainer was competent and took care individually of the "newcomers". We will be back!

Oskaras B: One of the best gym I know.

Martin Kietzer: Best club for boxing - kick and thai boxing in Berlin. Like old school.
