Restaurants in Berlin

The Lindenbrau, a place in the heart of Berlin

Do you want to have dinner seated at the table, possibly in the center of Berlin? Stop at the Lindenbrau, in the heart of Potsdamer Platz. The restaurant is located inside the Sony Center, whose sails lit in the dark create a fantastic atmosphere; perhaps a little touristy and trendy but a stop is absolutely worth it.

Spectacular view, fast service and average prices considering it central position. Take shank and sausages or a mix of grilled vegetables, perhaps accompanied by an iced Weizen.

Dressler restaurant, for meat lovers

Nice and elegant environment, located at No. 39 on Unter den Linden boulevard, in quartere middle. Despite the central location (about 200mt. There is the Brandenburg Gate) the value for money at the Dressler is very affordable. Main course: meat (recommended the Berlin-style duck cooked to perfection and the wiener schnitzel, the breaded and fried slice of veal typical of Viennese cuisine) or the mixture of vegetables.

Do not miss the dessert, especially the Tarte Tatin (caramelized apple pie in butter and sugar).

Kebab e Currywurst

One of the best Kebabs at Mustafa's

If you find yourself near Mehringdamm you cannot help but notice a very long line of people waiting near the kiosk. If you are not in a hurry and want to eat a kebab, queue: da Mustafa's you will taste one of the best kebabs you have ever tried in your life. Excellent, both the meat version and the vegetarian version.

  • There is a wait, but you won't be disappointed; Mustaf脿 in Berlin is now a legend.

The classic wurstel with Curry fries 36

Doesn't the kebab idea whet your appetite? Also in Mehringdamm there is the 36 Curry, the temple of street food made in Germany. A bite of authentic German sausage, the currywurst par excellence, served in trays dipped in sauces and spices and accompanied by a generous portion of chips. Cheap and tasty, if you're on the run it's a great choice!

Historic Berlin Pubs and Taverns

To the pub

Lovers of beer and big binges, here are the right places for you. In Rankestrasse, in the center of former West Berlin, there is a typical German tavern called To the pub. The place is not touristy and is especially popular with locals but the friendliness of the managers will surprise you.

The menu is characterized by traditional dishes of Teutonic cuisine, qualitatively good and served in large portions, with average prices. Excellent soups and meat (especially sausages and steaks), a wide choice of beers. Recommended!

The Pub, a place hidden away in an alley off Alexanderplatz

Thumbs up also for The Pub, a quaint little place located in a secluded alley near the central Alexanderplatz. Password: hamburger! Don't leave the Pub without tasting it. The sandwiches are huge and very good, at moderate prices; I also recommend the fries topped with creams and sauces. The peculiarity of this place is that you can brew your own beer, through the staplers placed at each table; on a monitor a counter will show you in real time the liters consumed up to that moment and the relative price.

Only downside: the place is small and in high demand. Without a reservation, waiting times are a bit long.

Hard Rock Cafe

Finally, a name and a tradition: a mention of the Hard Rock Caf猫 cannot be missing among the culinary tips, a must when visiting a world capital.

In Berlin, the structure is spread over two floors with an outdoor terrace where you can dine on beautiful summer evenings.

The menu changes little compared to the other Hard Rocks and even in Germany the prices are quite high: if you like the genre, however, pay us a visit. The restaurant is located at 224 di Kurf眉rstendamm or Ku'damm, a stone's throw from the underground station of the same name.
